Background
Facial paralysis, also known as facial paralysis, can be clinically divided into two types, peripheral facial paralysis and central facial paralysis. The peripheral facial nerve paralysis is generally injury of lower motor neurons, and is characterized in that forehead lines on one side become shallow or disappear, facial muscles on the whole same side are paralyzed, a patient cannot be wrinkled, eye fission is large, a mouth angle is sagged and is inclined to a healthy side, air leakage is obvious when the user wears a cheek, whistles cannot be blown, liquid flows out when the user eats, solids are easy to remain between cheeks and gums, and the patient is always accompanied with pain under the same side ears and at the angles of lower jaw.
The method for treating peripheral facial paralysis comprises external plaster, acupuncture, oral administration (including Chinese medicine and western medicine), etc. Among them, the topical plaster is popular because of small side effects.
The Chinese patent application with publication number CN114796324A discloses an external application traditional Chinese medicine ointment for treating facial paralysis, which comprises, by mass, 40-60 parts of rhizoma typhonii, 20-50 parts of stiff silkworm, 40-60 parts of scorpion, 40-80 parts of roasted nux vomica, 10-30 parts of cinnamon, 20-60 parts of bighead atractylodes rhizome, 10-35 parts of cassia twig, 10-35 parts of rhizoma corydalis, 15-40 parts of borneol, 30-60 parts of castor bean, 90-110 parts of sesame oil and 280-320 parts of honey.
The traditional Chinese medicine ointment is an improved prescription of Qianzheng powder (rhizoma typhonii, stiff silkworm and scorpion) and the use method is as follows: after the face is cleaned before sleeping every night, the ointment is externally applied to the affected side (namely the facial paralysis position), and the face is cleaned with clear water after the morning.
The traditional Chinese medicine ointment has the following defects: (1) The ointment is required to be directly applied to the side of a patient, and inconvenience is brought to the life of the patient no matter the patient takes medicine at night or takes medicine in the daytime; (2) The single use effect is not colorful, and acupuncture treatment is needed to be matched, however, the patient cannot perform acupuncture at home.

Table 1 treatment of the acupoint plaster of example 1 and the plaster of comparative example 4
As can be seen from Table 1, when the ointment is applied to the nebula and the Hegu acupoints, the effective rate and the cure rate are both greatly improved and the recurrence rate within 2 years is also greatly reduced, compared with the case that the ointment is directly applied to the face. Especially when the ointment is simultaneously applied to the nebula acupoint and the valley-closing acupoint, not only the obvious efficiency and the cure rate reach 100%, but also 92.9% of patients can be cured within two courses of treatment, and the course of the disease is short; the recurrence rate was only 3.7% within 2 years.
Table 2 treatment of the acupoint plaster of comparative examples 1-3 (applied to Yifeng acupoint and Hegu acupoint)
As can be seen from table 2, the therapeutic effects of the prescriptions of comparative examples 1, 2 and 3 are all greatly reduced compared with the prescription of example 1, the highest effective rate is only 50% and the highest recovery rate is only 42.9% after treatment for six courses of treatment; of the patients who heal, up to 50% of the patients relapse within 2 years, and the treatment is incomplete.
