通常借助于法兰连接将气体发生器固定在气袋减震系统的壳体内。这样的法兰连接要求某些部件的安装必须在插入气体发生器后进行。
本发明提供一种由一细长壳体和一个安装在该壳体内的气体发生器组成的组件,该组件的特点在于安装特别简单,并且不需要通常的固定和安装部件。根据本发明,气体发生器被轴向夹持在封闭壳体开口端的两端盖之间。这种设计使气体发生器仅仅是插在壳体内,其所选择的方案是先固定两个端盖中的一个,然后插入另一个使气体发生器轴向固定的端盖。为了补偿公差,设置在气体发生器底部一侧的装配端盖借助于一个夹紧螺钉夹紧气体发生器的底部,该夹紧螺钉的端部伸入壳体内。
该壳体的细长主体最好由通常的槽形冲压成形部件制造。本发明可不用任何附加工具而适应不同长度的气体发生器。在本发明的一个实施例中,气体发生器最好由一个部分包围气体发生器外周的夹持板径向夹紧在壳体内,并固定在壳体上。

由标号10表示的组件壳体包括一个细长主体12和两个插在主体12的开口端上的端盖14、16,该主体12由一个槽形冲压成型部件制造。每个端盖14、16除具有一个径向壁14a和16a外,还具有一个环壁14b和16b,环壁14b和16b与主体12的内侧连接。
气体发生器18有一个细长的圆筒形外壳和一个窄的颈部,该外壳部分具有一个平的底板部分。该气体发生器18的窄的颈部18a穿过设在端盖14的径向壁14a的一部分上的开口,该开口由一卷边形成阶梯状。
端盖16由一夹紧螺钉20固定,该螺钉20的内端伸入壳体内并夹紧气体发生器18的底部。气体发生器或壳体的尺寸公差由该夹紧螺钉20所补偿。
此外,在端盖16的径向壁16a上设有印记,以便对气体发生器18进行导向和对中。
槽形主体12的开口侧设有一个夹持板22,该夹持板22部分围绕气体发生器18的外周,并且该夹持板22沿两个纵向长条22a连接到主体12上,由此,气体发生器18被径向固定在壳体10内。
本发明的组装过程为:首先将端盖16放在壳体10的主体12内并固定在其上。然后将夹持板22安装到位并将其固定在主体12上。再将气体发生器18沿壳体的纵向方向上推入,利用端盖16中的导向和对中而使其对中并在径向上对齐。再后将端盖14插在主体12的另一端并且固定。至此仅需借助于夹紧螺钉20在轴向方向上夹紧气体发生器18并施加一定的预应力,由此完成了气体发生器的组装。

Claims (7)

1.一种用于气袋减震系统的组件,该组件由一细长壳体(10)和一个安装在该壳体内的气体发生器(18)组成,其特征在于气体发生器(18)被轴向夹持在封闭壳体(10)的开口端的两端盖(14、16)之间。
2.根据权利要求1的组件,其特征在于气体发生器(18)通过一个夹持板(22)被径向夹紧在壳体内,所说夹持板(22)部分包围气体发生器的外周并固定在壳体上。
3.根据权利要求1或2的组件,其特征在于所说壳体的细长主体(12)由通常的槽形冲压成型部件制造。
4.根据权利要求3的组件,其特征在于每一个端盖(14、16)具有一个连接壳体(10)内侧的环壁(14b、16b)。
5.根据权利要求1的组件,其特征在于端盖之一(14)具有一个开口,气体发生器的窄的颈部(18a)穿过该开口。
6.根据权利要求5的组件,其特征在于端盖中的另一个端盖(16)由一夹紧螺钉(20)固定,该螺钉(20)伸入壳体内的端部夹紧气体发生器(18)的底部。
7.根据权利要求1的组件,其特征在于端盖(14、16)设有用于对气体发生器(18)导向和对中表面。
