发明背景

本发明涉及包含环己基氨基烷氧基硅烷催化剂的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液(emulsion,乳剂)(STP-E乳液),以及这些STP-E乳液在涂层应用(coating application,涂覆应用)中的用途。
2.背景技术
大多数建筑材料都是多孔的,这会使它们从外面润湿,例如被雨水润湿。如果建筑材料的孔充满水,材料的绝缘性能会受到不利影响。长时间的润湿也会导致受潮损坏。砌体、石膏、纤维素和外部绝缘和饰面系统(exterior insulation and finishing system)(EIFS)上的各种涂层已经开发出来,但大量涂层有变脆的趋势。脆性会导致涂层开裂,使涂层膜出现大表面裂缝,这些裂缝既不起作用,也不好看。如果水在冻融循环期间进入涂层或基材,这也可能导致开裂。

发明内容
现在意外地且出乎意料地发现,可以配制使用硅烷封端的聚醚聚合物和环己基氨基烷氧基硅烷的1K水基体系。此外,与非催化体系相比,本发明的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液(STP-E乳液)还提高了拉伸强度、抗撕裂性和曝光耐久性,并相对于传统2K水基体系,显著延长了贮藏寿命(shelf-life)。本发明的包括环己基氨基烷氧基硅烷催化剂的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液(STP-E乳液)将贮藏寿命延长至大于六(6)个月。

硅烷封端的聚醚的分子量可为12,000g/mol–18,000g/mol,且优选动力粘度为10,000mPas–30,000mPas,在25℃下根据DIN 51562测量的。

作为组分(A)特别优选的是式(I)的γ-硅烷基封端的聚合物,其中Y=-(CH2)3-或-(CH2)3NHC(=O)-。

环己基氨基烷氧基硅烷催化剂(B)的wt%可为0.05wt%-5.0wt%,优选0.1wt%-1.0wt%,最优选0.1wt%-0.5wt%,在每种情况下,基于组分(A)的重量。
STP-E乳液是包含水(C)的含水乳液(aqueous emulsion)。乳液的固体含量为35wt%-80wt%,优选60wt%-75wt%。
在优选的实施方式中,硅烷封端的聚醚乳液还可包含一种或多种硅酮树脂,组分(D),例如窄分子量分布的无溶剂、反应性、甲氧基官能的甲基-苯基聚硅氧烷,其非常适合将相容的硅酮组分引入其他粘合剂体系以增加耐候性或耐热性。甲氧基官能的甲基-苯基聚硅氧烷是总硅酮含量约大于98wt%、烷氧基含量为约15wt%、且溶剂含量小于2wt%的透明液体。

乳液可进一步包含长链烷基烷氧基硅烷作为组分(D)。长链是指相对长的原子链,优选C8至C30,更优选C12至C30。其中a+b+c=4的组分B的其他示例为正辛基三甲氧基硅烷、正辛基三乙氧基硅烷、2,4,4-三甲基戊基三甲氧基硅烷、2,4,4-三甲基戊基三乙氧基硅烷、十六烷基三甲氧基硅烷、十六烷基三乙氧基硅烷、正二十九基三乙氧基硅烷、正二十九基三甲氧基硅烷、正三十基三甲氧基硅烷和正三十基三乙氧基硅烷、十六烷基甲基二甲氧基硅烷、十六烷基甲基二乙氧基硅烷、2,4,4-(三甲基戊基)甲基二甲氧基硅烷、2,4,4-(三甲基戊基)甲基二乙氧基硅烷、正辛基甲基三甲氧基硅烷和正辛基甲基二乙氧基硅烷。
基于硅烷封端的聚醚,硅烷封端的聚醚乳液中组分(D)的wt%可为约10wt%-70wt%;优选为约25wt%-50wt%。
组分(E)乳化剂可以是任何合适的离子乳化剂、非离子乳化剂、吉米奇(Gemini)乳化剂或两性乳化剂(amphotropic emulsifier,兼嗜性乳化剂),单独地和以不同乳化剂的混合物的形式。乳化剂可以纯形式使用,或作为一种或多种乳化剂在水或有机溶剂中的溶液形式使用。
合适的阴离子乳化剂的示例如下:
烷基硫酸盐(alkyl sulfate,烷基硫酸酯),特别是链长为8至18个碳原子的那些,具有疏水基团中的8至18个碳原子和1至40个环氧乙烷(EO)和/或环氧丙烷(PO)单元的烷基和烷芳基醚硫酸盐(alkyl and alkaryl ether sulfate,烷基和烷芳基醚硫酸酯)。
磺酸盐,特别是具有8至18个碳原子的烷基磺酸盐、具有8至18个碳原子的烷基芳基磺酸盐、磺基琥珀酸与一元醇或具有4至15个碳原子的烷基酚的牛磺酸酯、酯,包括单酯;如果需要,这些醇或烷基酚也可以用1至40个EO单元进行乙氧基化。
烷基、芳基、烷芳基或芳烷基基团中具有8至20个碳原子的羧酸的碱金属盐和铵盐。
磷酸偏酯及其碱金属盐和铵盐,特别是在有机基团中具有8至20个碳原子的烷基和烷芳基磷酸盐,具有在烷基或烷芳基基团中的8至20个碳原子和1至40个EO单元的烷基醚磷酸盐和烷基芳基醚磷酸盐。

通式R*-O-Zo的烷基多糖苷,其中R*是具有平均8至24个碳原子的线性或支链、饱和或不饱和烷基基团,Zo是含有平均o=1-10个己糖或戊糖单元或其混合物的低聚糖苷残基。
天然物质及其衍生物,如卵磷脂、羊毛脂、皂素、纤维素;纤维素烷基醚和羧烷基纤维素,其烷基各自具有至多达4个碳原子。
含有极性基团的线性有机(聚)硅氧烷,特别是含有O、N、C、S、P、Si元素的极性基团,尤其是含有至多达24个碳原子和/或至多达40个EO和/或PO基团的烷氧基的那些。
阳离子乳化剂的示例如下:
具有8至24个碳原子的伯、仲、叔脂肪胺与乙酸、硫酸、盐酸和磷酸的盐。
季烷基铵盐和烷基苯铵盐,尤指其烷基具有6至24个碳原子的那些,特别是卤化物、硫酸盐、磷酸盐和乙酸盐。
烷基吡啶鎓、烷基咪唑啉鎓和烷基噁唑鎓盐,尤其是其烷基链具有至多达18个碳原子的那些,特别是卤化物、硫酸盐、磷酸盐和乙酸盐。
尤其优选的是表面活性剂与至少一种具有大于16个EO单元的乳化剂的组合。
有用乳化剂的具体实例包括非离子仲醇乙氧基化物,例如乙氧基化异十三烷醇、乙氧基化蓖麻油、由饱和异-C13醇制成的乙氧基化非离子乳化剂、辛基酚乙氧基化物等或其组合,尤其是乙氧基化蓖麻油与由饱和异-C13醇制成的乙氧基化非离子乳化剂共混的共混物。
乳化剂的量可为总制剂重量的约1wt%-20wt%;更优选约2wt%-15wt%。
本发明的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液可用于改性适用于内部和/或外部用途的涂料(paint)和涂层,例如砌体、石膏、纤维素和EIFS基材上的涂层,或屋顶涂层或甲板涂层。涂料和涂层可指任何液体、可液化或胶粘组合物,其在施用到基材上后转化为固体填充物。涂料和涂层可以是水基的,如含水乳液/乳胶涂料或丙烯酸类涂料;低挥发性有机化合物含量的高固体涂料;或辐射可固化涂层。
用本发明的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液改性的涂料或涂层可包含以下一种或多种组分:粘合剂、稀释剂和/或溶剂、颜料和/或填料以及添加剂。
粘合剂是涂料的成膜组分,负责涂层与基材的良好附着。粘合剂可包括天然或合成树脂,例如醇酸树脂、丙烯酸树脂、乙烯基化物(vinyl)、乙烯基-丙烯酸树脂、苯乙烯-丙烯酸树脂、乙酸乙烯酯/乙烯、苯酚/甲醛缩合物、聚氨酯、聚酯、硝化纤维素、聚酰胺、三聚氰胺树脂、环氧树脂或可聚合油。
稀释剂或溶剂用作其中分散粘合剂、填料、颜料和添加剂和/或调整涂料粘度的介质。稀释剂可以是水、任选的有机溶剂,例如脂肪族化合物、芳香族化合物、醇、酮、矿物油精、松节油等。
颜料(F)可用于增加颜色或不透明度,保护基材免受UV光,增加硬度,降低延展性和/或调整光泽度。颜料可以是合成的,或者是天然的。颜料的实例可包括粘土、碳酸钙、云母、硅石、滑石、煅烧粘土、重晶石粉、沉淀碳酸钙、合成热原硅石等,或其组合。
无机颜料(F)的实例可包括铝颜料,例如含有硫的钠和铝的硅酸盐(群青紫)和含有硫的硅酸钠(Na8-10Al6Si6O24S2-4)(群青)的复合天然颜料;钡铜颜料,例如中国紫(BaCuSi2O6)和深蓝(BaCu2Si2O7),铜颜料,例如硅酸铜钙(CaCuSi4O10)的合成颜料,乙酰亚砷酸铜(Cu(C2H3O2)2·3Cu(AsO2)2);钡颜料,如硫酸钡(BaSO4.);锰颜料,如焦磷酸锰铵(NH4MnP2O7);钴颜料,如锡酸钴(CoO3Sn)、亚硝酸钴钾(Na3Co(NO2)6)、铬酸钴(CoCr2O4)、钛酸钴(Co2TiO4);铁颜料,例如六氰高铁酸铁(Fe7(CN)18)的合成颜料、一水合铁氧化物(Fe2O3·H2O)的天然粘土、无水Fe2O3;镉颜料如硫化镉(CdS)、硫硒化镉(Cd2SSe)、硒化镉(CdSe);铬颜料,例如铬氧化物(Cr2O3)、水合铬氧化物(Cr2O3·H2O)颜料、铬酸铅天然颜料(PbCrO4)、由铬酸铅(II)和氧化铅(II)(PbCrO4+PbO)组成的天然颜料混合物;砷颜料,如单斜硫化砷(As2S3);铅颜料,如锑铅矿(Pb(SbO3)2、碱式碳酸铅((PbCO3)2·Pb(OH)2);汞颜料,如硫化汞(HgS);碳颜料如炭黑;锑颜料,如氧化锑(Sb2O3);锌颜料如氧化锌(ZnO)或铬酸锌(ZnCrO4);钛颜料,如镍锑钛黄金红石(NiO·Sb2O3·20TiO2)或二氧化钛(TiO2);复杂的含硫硅酸钠(Na8-10Al6Si6O24S2-4),含有被称为群青蓝的青金石等。
有机颜料(F)的实例可包括二芳基化物苯胺黄色颜料;苯并咪唑黄染料;杂环黄色染料;二偶氮缩合黄色染料,如芳基化物黄、异吲哚啉黄、甲烷黄、四氯异吲哚啉酮黄、甲亚胺黄、喹酞酮黄或三嗪基黄、萘酚橙、calrion红、苯并咪唑酮橙;化学式范围为C32H3Cl13CuN8到C32HCl15CuN8的酞菁绿染料,酞菁铜;8,18-二氯-5,15-二乙基-5,15-二氢二吲哚并(3,2-b:3',2'-m)三酚基二噁嗪,称为二噁嗪紫等。
颜料(F)可包括隐藏保护基材免受UV光的颜料,例如二氧化钛,任选地涂有二氧化硅/氧化铝/锆、酞菁蓝染料或红氧化铁。
填料(F)可用于膜的增厚、增强粘合剂、赋予涂料纹理和/或增加涂料体积。填料可包括硅藻土、滑石、石灰、重晶石,例如硫酸钡、粘土、高岭土、沉淀或研磨碳酸钙、白垩、石灰石、大理石、碳酸镁、白云石、细石英、硅酸盐等,或其组合。
添加剂(G)可具有多种功能,例如修改表面张力、流动性和流平性、外观、光泽度、纹理化、增加湿边和/或防冻性能、改善颜料稳定性、控制起泡和/或结皮、改善流变性、改善耐擦伤性、充当催化剂、干燥剂、增稠剂、稳定剂、乳化剂、纹理剂、附着促进剂,UV稳定剂、腐蚀抑制剂、纹理剂、消光剂、杀生物剂、杀真菌剂、杀虫剂、杀藻剂等,或其组合。
添加剂(G)的实例可以是硅酮聚醚共聚物、高分子量聚硅氧烷或聚二甲基硅氧烷的分散体和硅酮表面活性剂作为增加耐擦伤性和提供或改善滑动的添加剂;环氧乙烷表面活性剂;硅酮乳液、氟硅酮、有机改性的硅酮共聚物作为提供泡沫控制的添加剂;氨基丙基三乙氧基硅烷、3-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、阳离子乙烯基苄基和氨基官能甲氧基硅烷、缩水甘油氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、硅烷醇官能添加剂、氨基官能硅酮聚合物水溶液作为附着促进剂和颜料处理添加剂;硅烷/硅氧烷共混物作为促进防水性的添加剂;芳烷基改性的硅酮、硅酮聚醚共聚物作为提高流平性和光泽度的添加剂;具有环氧官能团的硅酮弹性体颗粒提高耐磨性并增加光滑的物质饰面;硅酮聚醚共聚物作为增强基材润湿性的添加剂;2,2'-(2,5-噻吩二基)双(5-叔丁基苯并噁唑)作为荧光增白剂;2-[2-羟基-3,5-二-(1,1-二甲基苄基)]-2H-苯并三唑,2-(2H-苯并三唑-2-基)-4-甲基苯基作为UV光吸收剂;三(2,4-二叔丁基苯基)亚磷酸酯、硬脂酰基-3-(3',5'-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯基)丙酸酯、2,2'-亚甲基双(4-甲基-6-叔丁基苯酚)作为稳定剂;四氯间苯二甲腈、3-碘代-2-丙炔基丁基氨基甲酸酯、2-正辛基-4-异噻唑啉-3-酮、二碘甲基-对甲苯砜、N-(三甲硫基)邻苯二甲胺、1,2-苯并异噻唑啉-3-酮作为杀菌剂;2-(4-噻唑基(苯并咪唑)、二氯辛基异噻唑酮作为杀真菌剂/除藻剂;磷酸钾钠作为缓冲剂;疏水共聚物聚电解质作为颜料分散剂;改性的羟乙基甲基纤维素,作为增稠剂;改性的多元醇作为抑泡剂;酯醇作为聚结剂;碳酸钙作为增量剂;滑石作为添加剂,以提供颜料间距、坚固性、抗裂性和阻隔性能;用于分散的水性丙烯酸丁酯-苯乙烯共聚物;和(N-(2-氨基乙基)-3-氨基丙基三甲氧基硅烷和乙酸水溶液作为催化剂。内部和外部涂料的任何其他添加剂也被考虑。
此外,作为组分(G)的添加剂的非限制性示例,例如防腐剂、增塑剂,可用于本发明的乳液中。本申请中使用的添加剂的具体示例包括聚异丁烯、作为增塑剂的聚(丙二醇)或防止过早固化的N-二甲氧基(甲基)硅烷基甲基-O-甲基-氨基甲酸酯。此外,可在乳液中使用反应性氨基液体。本申请中使用的氨基流体的具体示例包括反应性氨基乙基-氨基丙基官能聚二甲基硅氧烷。
可以使用制备硅烷封端的聚醚乳液的任何合适方法,专利和非专利文献中公开了许多此类方法,包括间歇、半间歇和连续工艺。成分通常在高剪切下混合,例如使用转子/定子混合器。在优选的方法中,将STP-E乳液以及任选的硅酮成分和表面活性剂与有限的水混合以形成“硬相(stiff phase)”乳液,该乳液可以是油包水乳液,并且在高剪切、连续、增量或一次全部向该高粘性乳液中添加剩余的水,加入后,乳液转化为水包油乳液,粒径非常小且可重复。
由于硅烷封端的聚醚乳液已经是乳液的形式,因此可以通过简单的混合,即使用桨式混合器、叶片式混合器等,将其添加到涂料组合物中。
在各种成分的情况下,可以使用成分的每种类型中的一种或多种。
实施例
下面的实施例1提供了制备上述通式的示例性1K弹性硅酮乳液的方法。
使用以下组合物和重量百分比,根据以下方法制备实施例1和比较例2至4的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液。
在混合器上将Ethox CO-200和Lutensol TDA 9与水混合,直到形成泡沫状蛋白霜(foamy meringue)。将STP-E聚合物、硅酮树脂和环己基氨基烷氧基硅烷组分(或对照组分)以约10,000rpm混合到蛋白霜中持续约4分钟。以约5000rpm加入去离子水持续约1分钟。以约5000rpm添加额外的去离子水持续约1分钟。随后,以约5000rpm添加额外的去离子水持续约1分钟。
为了评估本发明制剂的延长贮藏寿命,制备了实施例1和比较例2至4并将其置于瓶中。在实施例1和比较例3及4的情况下,催化剂存在于组合物中。然后将这些实施例以薄膜(50-75湿密耳)应用于基材上,以测量膜固化。测试结果提供在以下表中:

如上述结果所示,实施例1的本发明乳液在瓶中未经历固化,并且在将其作为膜施加到基材上时固化。比较例2,在不添加催化剂的情况下,在瓶中没有固化,并且在作为膜施加到基材上时无法固化。比较例3,使用传统催化剂在瓶中立即固化,无法作为膜应用于基材。比较例4,使用传统催化剂在固化前经历了最短的适用期延长(minimal increasedpot-life)(7小时),并且当作为膜应用于基材时能够固化。因此,本发明乳液表现出显著延长的适用期和在应用于基材时固化的能力。
本发明的乳液适用于单组分(one-part)(1K)和双组分(two-part)(2K)体系。将乳液掺入涂料或涂层中,形成1K体系,其具有提高的贮藏寿命。此外,该涂料或涂层获得优异的拒水性,保护基材不受潮。
此外,用本发明的乳液改性的涂料或涂层可应用于各种基材,例如混凝土、金属或木材。改性涂料可施加一层或多层,且适用于外涂层应用。改性涂料或涂层基本上无粘性,表现出快速吸收,易于应用到基材上,应用第二涂层后无脱湿问题,且应用后手感干燥。
尽管上面描述了示例性实施方式,但是并不意图这些实施方式描述了本发明的所有可能形式。相反,说明书中使用的词语是描述性的词语而不是限制性的词语,并且应当理解,可以在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下进行各种改变。另外,各种实现实施方式的特征可以组合以形成本发明的进一步的实施方式。
Claims (8)
2.根据权利要求1所述的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液,包含(A)式(I)的硅烷基封端的聚合物,其中,Y=-(CH2)3-或-(CH2)3NHC(=O)-。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液,包含选自由以下组成的组的至少一种组分(B):N-环己基氨基乙基三乙氧基硅烷、N-环己基氨基甲基三甲氧基硅烷、N-环己基-3-氨基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、N-环己基-3-氨基丙基三乙氧基硅烷、N-环己基氨基乙基甲基二乙氧基硅烷、N-环己基氨基乙基甲基二甲氧基硅烷。
4.根据权利要求1至3所述的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液,包含硅酮化合物(D),所述硅酮化合物(D)包括式R4 aR5 b(R6O)cSiO(4-a-b-c)/2(II)的单元,其中,a=0-3,b=0-2,c=0或1或2或3,R4=C1-C12–烷基或芳基或氨基烷基或缩水甘油氧基烷基或巯基烷基,R5=C1-C12–烷基或芳基,R6=C1-C12-烷基或H或环氧乙烷或环氧丙烷,条件是a+b+c≤4,对应于低聚物、聚合物和硅烷。
5.根据权利要求1至4所述的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液,包含乳化剂(E)。
6.根据权利要求1至5所述的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液,包含(F)填料和/或颜料;以及任选的(G)其它添加剂。
7.一种涂层或涂料组合物,包含至少一种权利要求1至6中任一项所述的硅烷封端的聚醚乳液。
8.根据权利要求7所述的涂层或涂料组合物,其中,所述涂层或涂料组合物为用于砌体、石膏、纤维素、EIFS基材、屋顶涂层或甲板涂层的涂层或涂料。
