本申请提供了一种信道信息获取的方法和通信装置,可以减小获取信道信息的导频开销和时延。该方法包括:终端设备的第d个端口接收一个或多个第一参考信号,该第一参考信号为来自第一网络设备的参考信号;该终端设备根据接收到的该第一参考信号获得第一信道向量h1,d,该h1,d为该终端设备的第d个端口与该第一网络设备之间的信道的信道向量;该终端设备的第d个端口接收N个第二参考信号;该终端设备根据接收到的该第二参考信号获得第二信道向量h2,d;该终端设备根据该h1,d和该h2,d计算第三信道向量h3,d,该h3,d的端口数小于第四信道向量h4,d的端口数,该h4,d为该第一网络设备、第二网络设备和该终端设备的第d个端口之间的信道的信道向量;该终端设备根据该h3,d计算该h4,d。
