Background
Surface cleaning devices, such as floor washers, typically utilize a cleaning base to clean and soil pick-up a surface to be cleaned. The cleaning rolls of the above-mentioned devices are generally cylindrical and surrounded by a housing on the base, which type of cleaning roll, when encountering wall roots or corners and other types of cleaning surfaces, is unable to achieve contact with these surfaces, often requiring additional manual cleaning by the operator, which greatly reduces the cleaning efficiency of the cleaning device.

Detailed Description
In order to describe the technical content, constructional features, achieved objects and effects of the invention in detail, the following description will be made with reference to the embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural view of a surface cleaning apparatus 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, and the surface cleaning apparatus 100 mainly includes: the cleaning base 1 and the lower part are rotatably connected with the machine body 2 on the cleaning base 1. The device is capable of performing cleaning operations on surfaces like floors, particularly hard surfaces.
The cleaning base 1 is composed of two parts, a main base body 10 and a detachable side brush module 20, and the detachable side brush module 20 is configured to be detachably mounted on one side of the main base body 10.
The machine body 2 comprises a machine shell 8, and a handle 9, a cleaning solution supply box 3, a dirty solution recovery box 4, a suction motor 6 and the like are arranged on the machine shell 8. In this example, the middle part of the casing 8 is fixedly provided with a suction motor 6, and the cleaning solution supply tank 3 and the dirty solution recovery tank 4 are respectively detachably supported at the upper part and the lower part of the casing 8. The body 2 includes, in addition to the above-described components, a rechargeable battery pack 5 mounted on a housing 8. The battery pack 5 is mounted at the lower rear side of the casing 8, i.e., at the rear side of the contaminated liquid recovery tank 4. The battery pack 5 may power all components of the surface cleaning apparatus 100 that need to consume electrical power during operation, such as the suction motor 6. In other embodiments, a power plug capable of being electrically connected with the outside can be arranged on the machine body, and the power consumption components on the machine can be powered by the outside power supply.
The rear part of the main body 10 is provided with a rotary joint 7, and the lower part of the body 2 is connected to the rotary joint 7. The dirty liquid and the solid waste can be transported upwards from the cleaning base 1 via the recovery channel into the dirty liquid recovery tank 4. The cleaning liquid can be fed down from the cleaning liquid supply tank 3 to the corresponding position of the cleaning base 1 by means of the cleaning liquid outlet line. The power supply circuit is able to deliver power from the battery pack 5 located at the upper part down to the energy consuming parts of the cleaning base 1. The recovery channel, the cleaning liquid output pipeline and the power supply circuit penetrate through the rotary joint 7.
As shown in fig. 2 to 6, the main housing 10 is mainly composed of a main housing 101, a main brush roller chamber 102, a main brush roller 104, a brush motor 112, a pair of first liquid outlet holes 105, a part of a liquid outlet passage (not shown), a pump 113, and a first suction nozzle 106. The front part of the main shell 101 is provided with a main brush roll chamber 102, the lower part of the main brush roll chamber 102 is provided with a first opening 115, the main brush roll 104 is arranged in the main brush roll chamber 102, and the lower part of the main brush roll 104 extends out of the first opening 115 to be in contact with the cleaning surface. The first suction nozzle 106 is located on the rear side of the main brushroll 104, in communication with the main brushroll chamber 102. A pair of first liquid outlet holes 105 are arranged at the rear upper portion of the main brush roller 104 and are capable of spraying the cleaning liquid to the main brush roller 104. The outer side of the main brush roll 104 is covered with a pile layer made of bristles, fabric or other materials, which can be impregnated with a cleaning liquid such as water, a detergent mixed solution, or the like. The brush motor 112 is installed at the rear of the main housing 10. The main brush roll 104 is rotated by the brush motor 112, and during the rotation, the dirt and solid waste on the hard surface is picked up and sent to the first suction nozzle 106, and then sucked into the dirt recovery tank 4.
As shown in fig. 2, the detachable side brush module 20 can be removed from the main housing 10 when it is not needed. It can be convenient for the packing and the storage of clean base.
As shown in fig. 3, a first interface 108, a second interface 109, and a shaft hole 114 are provided on one side wall of the main housing 10. The first port 108 communicates with a liquid output passage inside the main housing 10. A valve 111 having a spool is provided at the first port 108. The valve 111 includes an elastic member (not shown) configured to provide elastic force; when the valve core receives an external force to overcome the elastic force, the valve core moves, and the valve is opened; when the valve core has no external force, the valve is in an initial closing state. The second interface 109 communicates with the first suction nozzle 106. The main housing 10 is provided with a removable or openable but sealable side cover 103, the side cover 103 being adapted to conceal the first port 108, the second port 109 and the shaft aperture 114 when the detachable side brush module 20 is not attached to the main housing 10.
As shown in fig. 2 and 7-9, the detachable side brush module 20 includes a side brush housing 201, a side brush roller 205, a side brush roller chamber 209, a second suction nozzle 206, a first connector 203, a second connector 204, and a second outlet 207. The side brush roller 205 is installed in the side brush roller chamber 209 at the front of the side brush housing 201, the second opening 2013 is opened at the lower portion of the side brush roller chamber 209, and the lower portion of the side brush roller 205 protrudes from the second opening 2013 to be in contact with the cleaning surface. One side of the side brush housing 201 is a mounting plate 2011, the other side is provided with an opening 2012 communicated with the side brush roller chamber 209, and one end of the second opening 2013 is communicated with the opening 2012. The first joint 203 and the second joint 204 are located on a mounting plate 2011 of the side brush housing 201. The first joint 203 communicates with the second outlet 207, and the second joint 204 communicates with the second suction nozzle 206. The second liquid outlet hole 207 is allocated to the side brush roller 205, the second liquid outlet hole 207 is arranged at the rear side of the side brush roller 205, and the second suction nozzle 206 is arranged at the rear side of the side brush roller 205 and communicated with the side brush roller chamber 209. The edge brush roller 205 is made of the same material as the main brush roller 104, and is also provided with a fluff layer. The length of the edge brush roll 205 is less than 1/2 of the length of the main brush roll 104. The side brush roller 205 has a first end 2051 and a second end 2052 in the axial direction. The first end 2051 is configured to couple with the main brushroll 104 to enable the edge brushroll 205 to rotate with the main brushroll 104. In this example, the first end 2051 of the edge brush roller 205 is fixedly provided with a connector 208.
As shown in fig. 7, this connector 208 extends outside of the side brush housing 206. A locking mechanism 30 is also provided between the main housing 10 and the detachable side brush module 20. This locking mechanism 30 can facilitate the secure locking of the detachable side brush module 20 to the main housing 10 during installation of the detachable side brush module 20 to the main housing 10.
When the detachable side brush module 20 is mounted to the main housing 10, the main brush roll 104 and the side brush roll 205 are coupled by the connector 208 and both rotate simultaneously. In this example, the axis of rotation of the side brushroll 205 is collinear with the axis of rotation of the main brushroll 104. The side cover 103 is opened; the first connector 203 interfaces with the first interface 108, and the first connector 203 applies pressure toward the interior of the first interface 108. The valve 111 is opened by the valve core of the valve 111 moving under the pressure of the first joint 203; the liquid output channel in the main seat body 10 is communicated with the second liquid outlet hole 207 in the detachable side brush module 20; the second connector 204 is connected to the second interface 109 and the suction channel 107 in the main housing 10 communicates with a second suction nozzle 206 in the detachable side brush module 20.
As shown in fig. 8-9, when the main base 10 and the detachable side brush module 20 are simultaneously engaged in operation, the brush motor 112 drives the main brush roller 104 to rotate and simultaneously drives the side brush roller 205 to simultaneously rotate; the cleaning liquid in the cleaning supply tank 3 will be fed into the liquid output channel by the pump 113; in the main seat body 10, cleaning liquid in a liquid output channel overflows from a pair of first liquid outlet holes 105 and is supplied to the main brush roller 104, a fluff layer on the main brush roller 104 infiltrates the cleaned liquid and then wipes the ground in the rotating process, and the used liquid and dirt on the ground enter the first suction nozzle 106 under the suction action of the main brush roller 104 and the suction motor 6 and then enter the dirty liquid recovery tank 4; in the detachable side brush module 20, the cleaning liquid in the liquid output channel overflows from the second liquid outlet hole 207 and is supplied to the side brush roller 205, the fluff layer on the side brush roller 205 wets the cleaning liquid and then wipes the floor and the wall more equal area opposite to the floor in the rotating process, and the side brush roller 205 conveys the used cleaning liquid and dirt to the second suction nozzle 206 and then to the first suction nozzle 106 and then to the dirt liquid recovery tank 4.
When the detachable side brush module 20 is separated from the main base 10, the cleaning base 1 only depends on the main base 10 to perform surface cleaning, the main brush roller 104 performs surface cleaning, the side cover 103 covers one side wall of the main housing 101, the valve core of the liquid valve in the first interface 108 is at the initial position, the valve is in a closed state, cleaning liquid cannot flow out from the first interface 108, and the second interface 109 is in a sealed state due to the blocking of the side cover 103.
As shown in fig. 10, the above-described cleaning base in which the main base 10 and the detachable side brush module 20 are combined is well suited for cleaning along a wall area; during operation, the main brush roller 104 on the main base 10 is exposed from the first opening 115 to clean the floor, and the side brush roller 205 on the detachable side brush module 20 is exposed from the second opening 2013 and the opening 2012, so that the wall and the floor near the wall can be cleaned simultaneously along with the rotation of the side brush roller 205.
In other embodiments of the detachable side brush module, the detachable side brush module may also be provided without the second connector and the second suction nozzle, i.e. it is not in communication with the suction channel in the main housing after being attached to the main housing; the back of the side brush roller is provided with a recovery cavity, and under the high-speed rotation of the side brush roller, after the sewage and dirt are swept into the recovery cavity, the standby device is stopped to be used, and the detachable side brush module is detached from the main seat body and then the sewage and dirt in the recovery cavity are cleaned independently.
The cleaning base can be used for a vertical push rod type cleaning device, a horizontal type portable cleaning device, a portable cleaning device and the like, and can help clean interfaces such as wall surfaces and the like, so that the cleaning base is more convenient to use.

1. A surface cleaning apparatus, the apparatus comprising:
a cleaning base (1) comprising a main base body (10) having a main brush roll (104) and a brush motor (112) driving the main brush roll (104) to rotate and a detachable side brush module (20) removably attached to the main base body (10);
the dirty liquid recovery system comprises a suction motor (6), a dirty liquid recovery box (4) and a first suction nozzle (106) which is positioned on the main seat body (10) and is matched with the main brush roller (104); and
a fluid delivery system comprising a cleaning liquid supply tank (3), a first liquid outlet hole (105) communicating with the cleaning liquid supply tank (3) and assigned to the main brush roll (104);
wherein the detachable side brush module (20) comprises a side brush shell (201), a side brush roller (205) which is arranged on the side brush shell (201) and has one end part in the axial direction exposed outside the side brush shell (201), a second suction nozzle (206) which is allocated to the side brush roller (205) and a second liquid outlet hole (207) which is allocated to the side brush roller (205); when the detachable side brush module (20) is attached to the main base body (10), the second liquid outlet hole (207) is communicated with the cleaning liquid supply box (3), the side brush roller (205) is in transmission connection with the main brush roller (104), and the second suction nozzle (206) is communicated with the sewage recovery box (4); and
the main seat body (10) is provided with a first interface (108) communicated with the cleaning solution supply box (3) and a second interface (109) communicated with the first suction nozzle (106), and the side brush shell (201) is provided with a first connector (203) communicated with the second liquid outlet hole (207) and a second connector (204) communicated with the second suction nozzle (206); when the detachable side brush module (20) is attached to the main base body (10), the first connector (203) is in butt joint with the first interface (108), and the second connector (204) is inserted into the second interface (109); the main base (10) is provided with a removable or openable side cover (103), and the side cover (103) is used for shielding the first interface (108) and the second interface (109) when the detachable side brush module (20) is not attached to the main base (10).

The surface cleaning apparatus of claim 1, wherein a valve (111) is provided at said first interface (108), said first interface (203) being capable of applying pressure towards the interior of said first interface (108) to open said valve (111) when said first interface (203) is engaged with said first interface (108).
3. A surface cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 2, wherein the valve (111) comprises a resilient member; the resilient member is configured to provide a resilient force such that the valve (111) returns to a closed state after the first connector (203) is separated from the first port (108).

The surface cleaning apparatus of claim 1, wherein the main housing (10) defines a main brushroll chamber (102) having a lower portion with a first opening (115), the first opening (115) facing the surface to be cleaned, the main brushroll (104) being mounted within the main brushroll chamber (102), the lower portion of the main brushroll (104) extending from the first opening (115) and being in contact with the surface to be cleaned; the side brush comprises a side brush shell (201), wherein a side brush roller chamber (209) with a second opening (2013) is formed in the lower portion of the side brush shell (201), a mounting plate (2011) is arranged at one side end portion of the side brush shell (201), an opening (2012) communicated with the side brush roller chamber (209) is formed in the other side end portion of the side brush shell, the second opening (2013) is communicated with the opening (2012), one end portion of the side brush roller (205) in the axial direction is exposed to the outside of the side brush shell (201) through the opening (2012), the other end portion of the side brush roller (205) in the axial direction is rotatably supported on the mounting plate (2011), the lower portion of the side brush roller (205) extends out of the second opening (2013), and the first opening (115), the main brush roller chamber (102), the first suction nozzle (106) and the sewage recovery tank (4) are communicated with each other in an axial direction, and the second suction nozzle (2013) is communicated with the opening (2012).
5. The surface cleaning apparatus of claim 1, wherein the axis of rotation of the main brush roller (104) is collinear with the axis of rotation of the side brush roller (205) when the detachable side brush module (20) is attached to the main housing (10).
6. The surface cleaning apparatus of claim 1, wherein the length of the edge brush roll (205) is less than 1/2 the length of the main brush roll (104).
7. The surface cleaning apparatus of claim 1, wherein a locking mechanism (30) is disposed between the main housing (10) and the removable side brush module (20).
