the pedal assembly (2) comprises an upper pedal arm (21) and a lower pedal arm (22) which are hinged with each other, and one end of the upper pedal arm (21) is rotatably arranged on the pedal assembly (1);
the first elastic return assembly (3) is arranged on the pedal assembly (2) and enables the pedal lower arm (22) to always have the tendency of unfolding relative to the pedal upper arm (21);
and the locking handle (4) is rotatably arranged on the pedal assembly (2) and is used for locking the pedal lower arm (22) relative to the pedal upper arm (21) in an unfolding state or a folding-down state.

The foldable pedal according to claim 1, wherein the first elastic return component (3) comprises a pedal return torsion spring (31), a first connecting pin (32) and a spring fixing pin (33), the first connecting pin (32) and the spring fixing pin (33) are arranged on the pedal upper arm (21) at intervals, a main body of the pedal return torsion spring (31) is sleeved on the spring fixing pin (33), a first end of the pedal return torsion spring (31) is connected with the pedal lower arm (22), and a second end of the pedal return torsion spring (31) is connected with the first connecting pin (32).
3. The foldable pedal according to claim 2, wherein the first elastic return assembly (3) further comprises a limit pin (34), the limit pin (34) is disposed on the pedal lower arm (22), and the first end of the pedal return torsion spring (31) is stopped at the limit pin (34).

The foldable pedal according to claim 1, further comprising a locking mechanism including ratchet teeth (41) and a front ratchet groove (221), the ratchet teeth (41) being provided to the locking handle (4), the front ratchet groove (221) being provided to the pedal lower arm (22), the ratchet teeth (41) being engaged with the front ratchet groove (221) when the pedal lower arm (22) is in the unfolded state with respect to the pedal upper arm (21).

The foldable pedal according to claim 4, further comprising a TCU module (5), wherein the locking handle (4) is provided with a micro switch (42), the pedal lower arm (22) is provided with a limit baffle (222), the micro switch (42) is arranged corresponding to the limit baffle (222), and the micro switch (42) is in communication connection with the TCU module (5).

The foldable pedal according to claim 4, wherein the locking mechanism further comprises a rear ratchet groove (223), the front ratchet groove (221) and the rear ratchet groove (223) being provided at intervals to the pedal lower arm (22), and the ratchet teeth (41) are engaged with the rear ratchet groove (223) when the pedal lower arm (22) is in a folded state with respect to the pedal upper arm (21).

The foldable pedal according to claim 6, further comprising a second elastic return assembly, the second elastic return assembly comprising a second connecting pin (43), an extension spring (6) and a third connecting pin (211), the second connecting pin (43) being disposed on the locking handle (4), the third connecting pin (211) being disposed on the pedal upper arm (21), one end of the extension spring (6) being connected to the second connecting pin (43), and the other end being connected to the third connecting pin (211).
8. Foldable pedal according to claim 1, characterized in that the pedal assembly (1) is further provided with an escape slot (12).
9. Foldable pedal according to claim 1, characterized in that the pedal assembly (1) is provided with a buffer stop (11).
10. A method for controlling a foldable pedal according to any one of claims 1-9, comprising the steps of:
the driver controls the locking handle (4) according to different road conditions;
when the automatic gear mode is entered, the locking handle (4) is lifted to fold the lower pedal arm (22), the locking handle (4) is released and the lower pedal arm (22) is locked, and the microswitch (42) enters an OFF state and generates a signal to the TCU module (5) to enter an automatic driving mode;
when the manual gear mode is entered, the locking handle (4) is lifted to unfold the lower pedal arm (22), the locking handle (4) is loosened and the lower pedal arm (22) is locked, and the microswitch (42) enters an ON state and generates a signal to the TCU module (5) to enter a manual driving mode.
