Description

技术领域
本发明大体上涉及包装技术(例如食品包装技术)领域。更特别地,提出了用于控制基于纸盒的(carton-based)包装材料的纵向密封的方法和装置,所述基于纸盒的包装材料用于容纳液体食品的包装。
背景技术
如今,众所周知,使用卷轴进料(roll-fed)包装机以用于不同类型的食品,例如牛奶。卷轴进料包装机,也称为填充机,具有几个优点。一个优点在于连续生产包装使得相对于坯料进料(blanks-fed)包装机能够实现更高的速度。另一个优点在于通过连续填充包装材料的管,并在管的下端形成包装,可以降低不需要的微生物进入包装的风险。
包装材料具有纵向密封以形成管。此后,管状包装材料被填充液体食品,最后进行横向密封以提供最终的食品包装。包装成型速度非常快并且生产是连续的。因此,如果例如在纵向密封处理中出现问题,需要丢弃的包装数量会非常多。此外,在重新开始生产之前,可能需要关闭,调整,清洁生产线并对生产线进行消毒。从经济、环境、安全和时间的角度,这对产品供应产生了重大影响。
因此,需要寻找更好的方法来确保足够的包装性能。
发明内容
一个目的是至少部分地克服现有技术的一个或多个上述限制。特别地,一个目的是提供控制包装和填充机器中包装材料的纵向密封的方法。使用在此提供的解决方案,可以最小化大量时间和资源并且增加过程控制。包装机的停机时间被最小化,并且可以以足够的方式减少由于缺陷纵向密封而导致的浪费(例如成品浪费)量。此外,本解决方案更好地确保了产品的安全性和耐用性。
根据第一方面,提供了一种包装密封控制系统,包括控制单元和适于通信连接到控制单元的数据记录装置,其中所述数据记录装置306适于监控沿与包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸的纵向密封。
根据第二方面,提供了一种应用于包装和填充机器的包装密封控制升级套件,包括控制单元和与控制单元通信连接的数据记录装置,其中所述数据记录装置适于监控沿着与包装和填充机器中包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸的纵向密封。
当根据第二方面在包装和填充机器上应用包装密封控制升级套件时,可以实现根据第一方面的包装密封控制系统。
根据第三方面,提供了一种用于监控和可选地控制包装和填充机器中包装材料的纵向密封的方法,包括以下步骤:
使用密封设备为包装材料提供纵向密封,其中包装材料的相对的纵向侧边被提供所述密封以将包装材料形成为管状形式,并且纵向密封沿包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸;
使用数据记录装置监控管状形式的包装材料的纵向密封;以及
可选地使用控制单元控制管状形式包装材料的纵向密封,其中控制单元从数据记录装置接收数据并将接收到的数据与至少一个预定的设置点值相关联以提供确定纵向密封条件的输出数据,并可选地为用户显示输出数据,该用户可以连接到网络。

具体实施方式
参考图1,通过示例的方式大体上示出包装机100,有时也被称为填充机。包装机100是卷轴进料包装机,用于将液体食品包装在基于纸盒的包装中。利乐(Tetra Pak)已在20世纪40年代推出了这种类型的包装机,如今它已成为一种众所周知的以安全且经济高效的方式包装牛奶和其他液体食品的方法。这种通用的方法也可用于非液体食品,例如薯片。
如今,通常在包装材料生产中心(也称为转换工厂)中印刷和制备包装材料,并且包装材料被运送到放置包装机100的地点,例如乳品厂(dairy)。通常包装材料在运输之前被装载到卷轴上。到达现场后,卷轴被放入如图1所示的包装机中。

光源可以使用可见光、红外(IR)光、紫外(UV)光或它们的任何组合。光源可提供波长为约380至740纳米(nm)的可见光。光源可提供波长为约740nm至1mm的IR光。光源可提供波长为约1至380nm的UV光。
由光源提供的光可以是偏振的。偏振可以选自线性偏振、圆偏振、椭圆偏振或它们的任意组合。当包装材料包含金属箔(例如铝箔)时,,偏振光的使用可以使得纵向密封的监控在检测不一致(non-conformance)方面更容易。
数据记录装置306能够检测和记录纵向密封的颜色和图像,即形状和位置。颜色和图像基于在包装材料纵向密封生产期间收集的光谱数据和空间数据。
控制单元308可以具有数据库、文件、数据处理器,用于接收数据并将接收到的关于视觉颜色和/或图像的数据(光谱数据和空间数据)与至少一个预定的设置点颜色和/或图像(光谱数据和/或空间数据)值相关联,并为用户显示,该用户可以连接到网络。

为包装材料提供纵向密封;
监控包装材料的纵向密封以从预定值/阈值的角度确定密封是否有缺陷,如果存在,该将增加包含在所述包装材料的包装中的液体食品变质的可能性。
本包装密封控制系统可用于监控和可选地控制包装和填充机器100中包装材料的纵向密封。

参考图4,以示例的方式示出了被配置为执行纵向密封的质量控制的质量控制系统400。质量控制系统400可以包括数据记录装置306、控制单元308和数据库402。数据记录装置306可以被配置为向控制单元308发送图像数据。数据记录装置308可以被配置为接收来自控制单元308的命令。控制单元308可以被配置为传输信息(例如图像数据)到数据库402。此外,数据库402可以被配置为存储从控制单元308接收的信息。
包装材料被加热以被纵向和横向密封。加热处理可以以不同的方式进行。如果材料有一层铝,则可以使用感应技术。此外,无论使用哪种材料,也可以使用热空气。包装材料可具有外塑料层,其可具有防止产品与纸盒材料接触的功能,但也可具有密封包装材料的功能。
包装材料的密封可能需要合并在一起的两个表面。至少一个表面在一定温度下加热以熔化塑料,并能够通过压力与另一个表面粘在一起。在这个过程中可能有不同的重要因素。根据非限制性示例,重要因素可以是材料被加热的温度、材料被加热的区域、加热处理的速度和环境温度。
根据又一个非限制性示例,可能影响密封质量的重要因素可以优选地是温度和被加热的区域。通过控制这两个参数,可以以更高的概率确保密封处理。
在传统系统中,填充机没有任何集成控制,无论是包装材料的塑料表面温度还是加热区域是否正确。只能控制传递给材料的能量(如果是铝材料)或用于加热塑料表面的空气温度。然后可以由操作员以一定的间隔手动进行质量控制。
本公开具有测量包装材料塑料的温度的能力,不仅在一个点而是在所有被加热的区域以及周围环境中。如前所述,数据记录装置306可以包括热相机(heat camera)。热相机可以靠近包装材料安装和安装在加热元件之后。根据一个非限制性示例,热相机可以基于IR技术。照相机的位置可以使其聚焦在必须进行密封的区域上。该区域呈矩形,比加热区域宽4-5倍,并且比加热区域长2-3倍。因此,热相机可以被配置为监控可以被加热的包装材料的区域以及被加热区域的周围区域。
热相机可以被配置为测量包装材料的温度。被检查的区域可以被划分为可以称为像素的小部分。每个像素可以是单独的温度传感器。温度值表示该像素区域的平均温度。总区域具有特定数量的像素宽和长。根据一个非限制性示例,像素宽和长可以是80×60像素。
照相机可以安装在距包装材料一定距离处。该距离对于计算以及校准聚焦区域的尺寸可能很重要。该尺寸由以下等式计算:
W=D*tan(25)*2,其中W是宽距离,D是从相机到表面的距离,并且
H=D*tan(19.5)*2,其中H是高距离,D是从相机到表面的距离。
其中每个像素部分可能具有一定的尺寸,这可以通过以下方式计算:
Wp=W/80,其中Wp是像素宽,并且
Hp=H/60,其中Hp是像素高。
基于包装材料的类型和可能使用的机器,可能有某个区域在特定温度下加热可能至关重要。该区域具有矩形形状并具有特定尺寸。通过使用热相机逐部分(fraction byfraction)映射该区域,可以监控整个区域的温度。
图4所示的质量控制系统400可具有快至27毫秒的测量间隔。在每次捕捉中,每个像素的读取值可以被更新。系统可以复制所有值并将它们与捕获时间戳一起存储在数据阵列中。然后可以将该阵列传输到数据库402。对于每个包装体积和机器设置,可能存在可以预定义的所需密封区域和温度,以具有高质量的密封。预定义的区域和温度参数可以保存在控制单元308的存储器中。当质量控制系统400可以准备运行控制单元308时,它可以选择正确的参数配方并将它们传输到数据阵列。然后可以将该阵列与材料可以被密封时的当前参数进行比较,并且控制单元308可以计算所有像素的温度偏差。图5通过示例进一步说明了这种比较。

至于通用方法,该通用系统可以结合参照图4或任何其他图描述的其他特征。该通用方法和系统还可以与所附权利要求中提出的特征结合。
参考图6,通过示例的方式示出了被配置为执行包装材料的纵向密封的质量控制的质量控制系统600。质量控制系统600可以包括数据记录装置306、机器控制器602和密封处理604。记录装置306可以被配置为将温度阵列转移传输到机器控制器602。机器控制器602可以被配置为将密封功率控制传输到密封处理604。密封处理可以被配置为将温度读数传输到记录设备306。作为非限制性示例,可以以三种不同方式使用计算结果。因此,如果材料密封不正确,控制器可以发出警报并停止机器,或者它可以发出警告并浪费没有正确密封质量的包装。结果可用作处理控制参数并调整电源设置以进行校正并最小化与预定义温度的偏差。可以检查加热区域是否位于正确的位置。如果情况并非如此,则可以有一个调节设备使感应器或加热元件移动被移动到正确位置所需的距离。上述概念可以表示为如下方法:

所公开的质量控制系统400、500的优点在于可以改进纵向和横向密封质量的知识。因此,质量控制系统400、500可执行包装材料的横向密封以及纵向密封的质量控制。另一个优点是可以改进对纵向和横向密封质量的控制。
对纵向和横向密封的知识和控制得到改进的一个优点在于,只有不满足密封要求的包装才会被浪费。此外,可以减少由操作员检查的包装量,并且可以增加检查之间的时间间隔。
另一个优点是可以对密封功率和/或密封温度进行闭环控制。表面温度的反馈是控制传送到包装材料的能量的关键参数。因此,这将避免机器停止。
另一个优点是可以对密封元件的位置进行闭环控制,这可以迅速进行修正,避免机器停止。
上面参考图6提出的方法和系统可以结合参考其他图或权利要求提出的不同特征。

Claims (25)

控制单元(308);

其中,所述数据记录装置(306)适于监控纵向密封(302),所述纵向密封(302)在与包装和填充机器(100)中包装材料的流动方向一致的方向上延伸;和
光纤电缆(304),所述光纤电缆(304)的一端附接到所述数据记录装置(306),并且其相对端适于监控沿与所述包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸的所述纵向密封(302)。
2.根据权利要求1所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中所述数据记录装置(306)包括视觉系统。
3.根据权利要求2所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中所述视觉系统适于将颜色和/或图像记录为管状形式的所述包装材料上的所述纵向密封的光谱数据和空间数据。
4.根据权利要求2所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中所述视觉系统是照相机。
5.根据权利要求1所述的包装密封控制系统(300),还包括光源,所述光源适于照亮正由数据记录装置(306)监控的纵向密封的包装材料的区域。
6.根据权利要求1所述的包装密封控制系统,还包括适于封闭所述光纤电缆(304)的包封管(204)。
7.根据权利要求6所述的包装密封控制系统,其中所述包封管(204)附接到所述包装和填充机器(100)的填充管(104、202)。
8.根据权利要求6所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中在所述包封管(204)中设有孔,所述孔适于容纳所述光纤电缆(304)的未附接到所述数据记录装置(306)的端部。
9.根据权利要求7所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中在所述包封管(204)中设有孔,所述孔适于容纳所述光纤电缆(304)的未附接到所述数据记录装置(306)的端部。
10.根据权利要求9所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中所述孔定位于所述填充管(104、202)的出口的上游,或沿与所述包装材料的流动方向一致的方向定位于所述纵向密封设备的下游,或定位于纵向密封的包装材料的液位上方。
11.根据权利要求1-10中任一项所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中所述控制单元(308)具有数据库、文件、数据处理器,用于接收数据并将接收到的视觉颜色和/或图像数据与至少一个预定的设置点颜色和/或图像值相关联,并为用户显示,所述用户可以连接到网络。
12.根据权利要求1-10中任一项所述的包装密封控制系统(300),其中所述控制单元(308)通过网络连接到远程控制单元(310),所述远程控制单元(308)具有用户界面能力,使得所述纵向密封处理的数据可以从所述控制单元(308)传输以显示给通过网络连接到所述远程控制单元(310)的用户。
13.一种应用于包装和填充机器的包装密封控制升级套件,包括:
控制单元(308);
数据记录装置(306),其适于通信连接到所述控制单元(308);
其中,所述数据记录装置适于监控纵向密封,所述纵向密封在与包装和填充机器中包装材料的流动方向一致的方向上延伸;和
光纤电缆(304),所述光纤电缆(304)的一端附接到所述数据记录装置(306),并且其相对端适于监控沿与所述包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸的所述纵向密封(302)。
14.根据权利要求13所述的包装密封控制升级套件,还包括光源,所述光源适于照亮正由所述数据记录装置监控的纵向密封的包装材料的区域。
15.根据权利要求13或14所述的包装密封控制升级套件,还包括适于覆盖所述光纤电缆的包封管。
16.根据权利要求15所述的包装密封控制升级套件,其中所述包封管(204)设有孔,所述孔适于容纳所述光纤电缆(304)未连接到所述数据记录装置(306)的端部。
17.一种用于监控和控制包装和填充机器(100)中包装材料的纵向密封(302)的方法,包括以下步骤:
使用密封设备为包装材料提供纵向密封(302),其中包装材料的相对纵向侧边被提供所述纵向密封以将所述包装材料形成为管状形式,并且所述纵向密封沿与所述包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸;
使用数据记录装置(306)和光纤电缆(304)监控管状形式的所述包装材料的所述纵向密封(302),所述光纤电缆(304)的一端附接到所述数据记录装置(306),并且其相对端适于监控沿与所述包装材料的流动方向一致的方向延伸的所述纵向密封(302);以及
使用控制单元(308)控制管状形式的所述包装材料的所述纵向密封(302),其中所述控制单元(308)从所述数据记录装置(306)接收数据并将接收到的数据与至少一个预定的设置点值相关联以提供确定所述纵向密封的条件的输出数据,并且为用户显示所述输出数据,所述用户可以连接到网络。
18.根据权利要求17所述的方法,还包括通过所述控制单元(308)控制纵向密封设备以调节热量和/或电量以产生所述纵向密封。
19.根据权利要求17所述的方法,还包括通过增加或减少加热温度通过所述控制单元(308)控制纵向密封设备以调节热量以产生所述纵向密封。
20.根据权利要求17所述的方法,还包括通过增加或减少加热电量通过所述控制单元(308)控制纵向密封设备以调节电量以产生所述纵向密封。
21.根据权利要求17所述的方法,还包括通过所述控制单元(308)控制所述包装和填充机器(100)以将其关闭,并且再次启动它,以允许纵向密封设备调节热量和/或电量以产生所述纵向密封(302)。
