【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种电连接器组件,尤其涉及一种具有高速端子模组和边带端子模组的电连接器组件,更具体地涉及一种接地件连接到线缆的高速端子模组。
【背景技术】
美国专利第10,559,930号公开了一种电连接器,其具有设置成两排的高速端子和边带端子。美国专利第10,069,262公开了一种具有双密度端子排列的电连接器。美国临时申请序列号第63/004,068公开了如何通过单个端子载体来制造高速端子排列。所以需要一种改进的具有上述三种类型的连接器的组合特征的电连接器组件。
【发明内容】
本发明主要目的是提供一种具有高速端子模组和边带端子模组的电连接器组件,其高速端子模组机械及电性地连接至所述金属接地件。
为实现上述目的,本发明采用以下技术方案:一种电连接器组件,其包括具有前配合槽和后接收腔的绝缘壳体及容纳在所述后接收腔内的端子模块组件,所述端子模块组件包括在横向方向上排列的一对高速端子模组及夹在所述一对高速端子模组之间的边带端子模组,每个所述高速端子模组包括在垂直于所述横向方向的竖直方向上彼此组装的上单元和下单元,所述上单元和所述下单元中的每一个均包括前端子子单元和后端子子单元,所述前端子子单元和所述后端子子单元中的每一个均包括差分对端子、与所述差分对端子在所述横向方向上交替地布置的接地端子,进一步包括与所述接地端子分离设置的金属接地件,所述金属接地件机械及电性地连接至所述接地端子。
与现有技术相比,本发明的优点在于:本发明中,与所述接地端子分离设置的金属接地件机械及电性地连接至所述接地端子,能起到更好的作屏蔽保护作用,从而使电连接器组件具有良好的电性性能。

如图1-23所示,为符合本发明的实施例的电连接器组件100,所述电连接器组件100包括绝缘壳体110及收容于所述绝缘壳体110中的端子模块组件120,所述端子模块组件120包括一对高速端子模组122和夹在所述一对高速端子模组122之间的边带端子模组180。所述绝缘壳体110包括前配合槽111和后接收腔112。多个引导槽116形成在所述绝缘壳体110的后端,用于与所述端子模块组件120的边带端子模组180配合。所述绝缘壳体110的上壁和底壁上形成有多个固定孔114,所述固定孔114用于与所述端子模块组件120的高速端子模组122配合。所述绝缘壳体110的底壁上设置有切口(未标示),以允许端子的尾部向安装所述绝缘壳体110的印刷电路板(未图示)延伸。
每个所述高速端子模组122包括在竖直方向上堆叠的上单元130和下单元130’,所述上单元130和所述下单元130’在结构上彼此相似或相同,并且在垂直方向上以基本对称的方式布置,从而节省了模具的设计和制造成本。具体地,所述上单元130和所述下单元130’在横向方向上彼此偏移的距离为端子间距的一半。基于所述上单元130和所述下单元130’之间的相似或相同,此处仅对所述上单元130作详细描述。
所述上单元130包括金属壳体140及通过所述金属壳体140组装在一起的前或外端子子单元160和后或内端子子单元170。所述外端子子单元160和所述内端子子单元170共同组成端子单元150。所述外端子子单元160和所述内端子子单元170被构造成在所述竖直方向上彼此组装配合。所述外端子子单元160包括前或外绝缘体162和通过插入模制一体形成在所述前或外绝缘体162内的多个端子164。所述内端子子单元170包括多个端子174及其与所述多个端子174一体成型的后或内绝缘体172。所述多个端子164包括三个接地端子165和两对差分对端子166。所述三个接地端子165和所述两对差分对端子166在横向上交替设置,其中,所述接地端子165的尾部通过横条(未标示)连接在一起。所述端子164的制造可以参考美国临时申请号63/004,068。
所述外绝缘体162设有前凸出部161和三个后凸出部163,以便被容纳在所述金属壳体140的前开口148和后开口149内。所述外绝缘体162上设置有三个可变形柱169,用于与接地件300配合,对此后面会进一步描述。多个容纳凹槽167形成在所述外绝缘体162的底侧,用于容纳所述内端子子单元170的对应所述端子174的接触部。
相应地,所述多个端子174包括两对差分对端子176及三个接地端子175。所述两对差分对端子176与所述三个接地端子175交替布置。所述接地端子175的尾部通过横条(未标示)连接在一起。所述内绝缘体172上设有多个前凸部173和多个后凸部179,所述前凸部173与对应的所述后凸部179相配合以共同容纳在所述金属壳体140的所述后开口149内。所述金属壳体140的后边缘抵靠后凸部179。
值得注意的是,通过所述金属壳体140的前开口148、后开口149与所述外绝缘体162的前凸出部161、后凸出部163和所述内绝缘体172上的前凸部173和后凸部179的配合,使得所述金属壳体140和所述外绝缘体162、所述内绝缘体172在前后方向上彼此固定。所述内绝缘体172还包括多个侧凸出部171,以容纳在相应的固定孔146内,以确保金属壳体140和所述外绝缘体162、内绝缘体172在竖直方向和前后方向上的牢固性。如图16所示,所述内绝缘体172的下侧形成有多个凸部177,以容纳在所述下单元130’中的相应的凹部中。所述内绝缘体172的底面形成有凹部178,以容纳所述下单元130’向上延伸的相应的凸部,从而确保所述上单元130和所述下单元130’在前后方向和横向方向上的保持力。
值得注意的是,在组装之后,所述金属壳体140通过所述固定孔146与相应的侧凸出部171接合而被保持到所述内绝缘体172,所述外绝缘体162在竖直方向上被夹在所述金属壳体140和所述内绝缘体172之间。所述上单元130的所述金属壳体140进一步包括一对保持部分144,以保持到下单元130’的金属壳体的对应保持部分。在所述外绝缘体162中,所述三个后凸出部163之间形成一对通道(未标记),以允许相应的线缆200延伸进入。类似地,所述内绝缘体172的上侧形成一对上通道152,以容纳连接到所述外端子子单元160的相应的两条线缆200。所述内绝缘体172的下侧形成一对下通道152,用于接收连接到所述内端子子单元170的两条相应的线缆200。所述金属壳体140还包括固定片142,当将端子模块组件120组装到所述绝缘壳体110中时,所述固定片142将被牢固地保持在固定孔114中。
所述线缆200从内到外依次包括一对内部导体202,一对内部绝缘层204,共同的金属或编织屏蔽层206和共同的外部绝缘层(护套)。所述内部导体202焊接在所述差分对端子166的尾部,所述屏蔽层206机械地及电性地连接到所述接地端子165的横条。所述接地件300与所述接地端子165分离设置,所述接地件300包括三个孔302、三个臂304和两个凸起部分306。所述可变形柱169穿过所述孔302延伸,以将所述接地件300固定在所述外绝缘体162上。所述三个臂304分别与相应的所述接地端子165接触配合。每个所述凸起部分306可以在垂直方向上覆盖整个暴露的内部绝缘层204。与没有接地件覆盖裸露的绝缘层204的传统设计相比,凸起部分306在垂直方向上覆盖整个暴露的内部绝缘层204可以降低阻抗。根据需要,所述接地件300可以进一步覆盖屏蔽层206的前边区域的上部。
值得注意的是,在所述内端子子单元170中,所述端子174和所述内绝缘体172以及所述线缆200之间的布置类似于所述外端子子单元160中的布置,但是和外端子子单元160以对称或镜像的方式。所述外端子子单元160的金属接地件300沿第一竖直方向组装到所述外端子子单元160,所述内端子子单元170的金属接地件沿与第一竖直方向相反的第二竖直方向组装到所述内端子子单元170。所述第一竖直方向为从上向下的方向,所述第二竖直方向为从下向上的方向,所述线缆200的屏蔽层206位于所述外端子子单元160的所述接地端子165的相对应横条的上侧,位于所述内端子子单元170的所述接地端子175的相应横条的下侧。
如图18-22所示,所述边带端子模组180包括在横向上彼此堆叠的多个晶片182。每个所述晶片182包括绝缘体184及通过嵌件成型固持于所述绝缘体184的端子组186,所述端子组186包括上端子单元187和下端子单元189。所述上端子单元187包括一体地形成于所述上端子单元187的一对接触臂196。所述一对接触臂196包括在前后方向上隔开的前接触部和后接触部,所述下端子单元189包括一体地形成的一对接触臂198。所述一对接触臂198包括在前后方向上隔开的前接触部和后接触部。所述上端子单元187还包括在前后方向上彼此间隔开的一对尾部194。所述下端子单元189还包括在前后方向上彼此间隔开的一对尾部192。所述尾部192和所述尾部194用于安装至印刷电路板。值得注意的是,如有需要,所述一对接触臂196可以通过去除位于相应的所述一对尾部194之间的T形结构(未标记)而彼此电分离,因为在所述绝缘体184中形成有冲压孔(未标记)以暴露出这种T形结构。类似地,所述一对接触臂198可以通过去除位于相应的所述一对尾部192之间的T形结构(未标记)而彼此电分离。实际上,所述接触臂196和所述接触臂198不在同一竖直平面中,而是在横向方向上彼此错开。因此,所述绝缘体184在两侧上形成凸部183和凹部185,从而形成这种偏移结构。这种偏移结构还有助于所述晶片182在横向方向上对正且稳定地堆叠。在垂直于横向和竖直方向的前后方向上来看,每个所述晶片形成偏移结构,以使得上端子单元187相对于所述下端子单元189在所述横向方向上彼此偏移。每个所述晶片182还形成凸部188,以容纳在相邻晶片182中形成的相应凹部内。每个晶片182还包括引导肋181,所述引导肋181在组装时被容纳在相应的所述引导槽116内。所述端子组186的厚度方向是横向,而端子164和端子174的厚度方向垂直于所述横向方向。
如图24-28所示,示出了另一个实施例,与第一实施例相比,本实施例中,所述接地件300的臂304被接地件430的弹性臂434代替,从而省略了臂304和对应的接地端子175之间的焊接过程。换句话说,在本实施例中,当编织层456连接在接地端子450的横条(未标记)上时,弹性臂434机械地按压相应的接地端子450而无需进行焊接。可以理解,在本实施例中,所有其他组件与第一发明的组件保持相同。外端子子单元包括保持在绝缘体332中的多个端子336,内端子子单元包括保持在绝缘体334中的多个端子338。接地件430通过柱子460保持到所述绝缘体332。所述线缆451由内部导体452,内部绝缘层454,编织层456和外部绝缘层458组成。值得注意的是,在本发明中,所述接地件300、所述接地件430基本上在垂直方向上覆盖暴露的所述内部绝缘层204、所述内部绝缘层454的大部分,以减小其阻抗。值得注意的是,所述绝缘壳体110在所述前配合槽111的旁边形成多个通道(未标记),以分别容纳对应的端子的接触部分。所述端子组186冲压而成并在垂直于端子组厚度方向的方向上可弹性偏转,所述端子164、端子174冲压而成并在与所述端子厚度方向一致的方向上可弹性偏转。
如图29-33所示,示出了又一个实施例,在本实施例中,只是省略了金属接地件500的臂304,其他组件与第一实施例的组件相同,前端子子单元包括保持在绝缘体532中的多个端子536。后端子子单元包括保持在绝缘体534中的多个端子538。所述端子536包括三个接地端子547和在横向上与所述三个接地端子547交替布置的两对差分对端子546。所述接地端子547的尾部通过横条540连接在一起。所述端子538包括三个接地端子549及在横向上与所述三个接地端子549交替布置的两对差分对端子548。所述接地端子549的尾部通过横条540连接在一起。所述金属接地件500不是通过柱子460保持在绝缘体532上。所述接地件500包括两个凸起部分504和三个水平部分505。线缆551由内部导体552,内部绝缘层554,公共金属屏蔽层556和外部绝缘层558组成。每个所述凸起部分504覆盖暴露的公共金属屏蔽层556,每个所述水平部分505与相应的接地端子547相连接。每个所述凸起部分504和每个所述水平部分505中的都设有孔510,所述金属接地件500通过所述孔510直接焊接到所述接地端子547的横条540和所述公共金属屏蔽层556上。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器组件,其包括具有前配合槽和后接收腔的绝缘壳体及容纳在所述后接收腔内的端子模块组件,所述端子模块组件包括在横向方向上排列的一对高速端子模组及夹在所述一对高速端子模组之间的边带端子模组,每个所述高速端子模组包括在垂直于所述横向方向的竖直方向上彼此组装的上单元和下单元,所述上单元和所述下单元中的每一个均包括前端子子单元和后端子子单元,所述前端子子单元和所述后端子子单元中的每一个均包括差分对端子、与所述差分对端子在所述横向方向上交替地布置的接地端子,其特征在于:进一步包括与所述接地端子分离设置的金属接地件,所述金属接地件机械及电性地连接至所述接地端子。
2.根据权利要求1的电连接器组件,其特征在于:进一步包括与所述高速端子模组连接的线缆和与所述边带端子模块连接的外部电路板,所述线缆包括一对内导体、一对内绝缘层及公共金属屏蔽层,所述内导体机械地及电性地连接所述差分对端子,所述金属屏蔽层机械地及电性地连接所述接地端子。
3.根据权利要求2的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述金属接地件包括凸起部分和分别与相应的所述接地端子连接的臂,每个所述凸起部分可至少部分地覆盖相应的所述线缆。
4.根据权利要求2的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述前端子子单元和所述后端子子单元中的每一个均包括绝缘体,所述绝缘体上包括可变形柱,所述金属接地件包括孔,所述可变形柱延伸穿过所述孔以将所述接地件固定在所述绝缘体上。
5.根据权利要求4的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述金属接地件的臂被焊接到相应的接地端子上。
6.根据权利要求4的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述金属接地件的臂具有弹性,可以省去所述臂和相应的接地端子之间的焊接过程。
7.根据权利要求2的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述金属接地件直接焊接到接地端子和金属屏蔽层,所述金属接地件包括覆盖暴露的金属屏蔽层的凸起部分和与相应的接地端子接触的水平部分,每个所述凸起部分和每个所述水平部分均包括用于焊接的孔。
8.根据权利要求1的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述边带端子模组包括在所述横向方向上彼此堆叠的多个晶片,每个所述晶片均包括绝缘体及嵌入在所述绝缘体内的上端子单元和下端子单元。
9.根据权利要求1的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所述上单元和所述下单元中的每一个均包括连接为整体的前端子子单元和后端子子单元。
10.根据权利要求2的电连接器组件,其特征在于:所有所述接地端子通过后端的横条连接在一起形成整体,所述金属接地件与相应的横条配合,以在垂直于所述横向方向的竖直方向上将相应的所述线缆夹在中间。
