Abstract
The invention relates to the technical field of coatings, in particular to a lithium-based attapulgite-based water-based multicolor coating and a preparation method thereof, wherein the method comprises the steps of modifying lithium-based attapulgite to prepare modified lithium-based attapulgite sol; preparing a dispersion phase and a continuous phase based on the modified attapulgite sol, and mixing the dispersion phase and the continuous phase according to the weight ratio (38-42): (62-58), preparing dispersed phases with different colors into small particle colloids, putting the small particle colloids into a continuous phase, and stirring uniformly at a low speed to obtain the water-based multicolor paint; according to the invention, the modified lithium-based attapulgite is adopted to replace the existing modified hectorite protective glue, so that the scarce natural hectorite resource is saved, and the cost is obviously reduced because the attapulgite is a relatively abundant resource and is low in price. In addition, the waterborne multicolor paint provided by the invention improves the flexibility of dispersed phase colloidal particles, and the colloidal particles are not easy to break during spraying construction, thereby reducing the construction difficulty.

Background
The water-based multicolor paint is a composite suspension dispersion paint formed by mixing more than two kinds of colloidal particles with different colors, sizes and shapes into a water-based basic paint, and a paint film coating with a marble texture effect can be formed by single-gun spraying. In recent years, the water-based multicolor paint is developed rapidly, and is expected to replace the real stone paint to become the mainstream of the building exterior wall paint.
The water-based multicolor paint is a novel product, the technology of the water-based multicolor paint is continuously improved, and some unsatisfactory places need to be continuously researched and perfected, such as high production cost, harsh and difficult control of production technical requirements, poor product storage stability, high construction difficulty, single construction method and the like.

mixing the modified lithium-based attapulgite with deionized water according to the weight ratio of (10-20): 100, preparing modified lithium-based attapulgite sol, and standing for 48 hours for later use;
(2) formulating the dispersed phase
Taking deionized water with the formula amount, adding a dispersing agent and a defoaming agent, adding titanium dioxide and kaolin, stirring at a high speed for dispersing, then adding an acrylic emulsion, a film-forming auxiliary agent and the modified lithium-based attapulgite sol prepared in the step (1), stirring at a low speed, thickening with a polyurethane thickener to prepare a dispersed phase, and mixing colors for later use;
(3) preparing the continuous phase
Taking deionized water with a formula amount, adding a defoaming agent, then adding an acrylic emulsion, a film-forming assistant and the modified lithium-based attapulgite sol prepared in the step (1), slowly stirring, and adding a polyurethane thickener to prepare a continuous phase;
(4) mixing the dispersed phase and the continuous phase according to the weight ratio of (38-42): (62-58), preparing dispersed phases with different colors into small particle colloids, putting the small particle colloids into a continuous phase, and stirring uniformly at a low speed to obtain the water-based multicolor paint.
In a further technical scheme, in the modification treatment process of the lithium-based attapulgite, the using amount of the deionized water is equal to the weight of the lithium-based attapulgite;
the dosage of the acrylamide is 0.1-3% of the weight of the lithium-based attapulgite;
the dosage of the methyltrimethoxysilane is 0.2-7% of the weight of the lithium-based attapulgite.
In a further technical scheme, the dispersed phase is prepared from the following raw material components in percentage by weight: 0.5-6% of modified lithium-based attapulgite sol, 24-32% of acrylic emulsion, 5-15% of titanium dioxide, 7-12% of kaolin, 0.2-0.6% of dispersing agent, 1-2.5% of film-forming assistant, 0.2% of defoaming agent, 0.1-1.5% of polyurethane thickener and 50-70% of deionized water.
In a further technical scheme, the continuous phase is prepared from the following raw material components in percentage by weight: 1-9% of modified lithium-based attapulgite sol, 26-35% of acrylic emulsion, 1-2.5% of film-forming additive, 0.2% of defoaming agent, 0.1-1.5% of polyurethane thickener and 40-60% of deionized water.
The invention also provides the water-based multicolor paint prepared by the method.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following technical effects:
the attapulgite water-based multicolor paint takes the modified lithium-based attapulgite as the protective adhesive, and has the following beneficial effects:
1) providing a water-based multicolor paint and a preparation method thereof;
2) the water-based multicolor paint provided by the invention saves the scarce resources of natural hectorite;
3) according to the water-based multicolor paint and the preparation method thereof, the attapulgite is used as a basic raw material, so that the attapulgite is rich in resources and low in price, and the cost of the water-based multicolor paint is obviously reduced;
4) the waterborne multicolor coating provided by the invention improves the flexibility of dispersed phase colloidal particles, and the colloidal particles are not easy to break during spraying construction, so that the construction difficulty is reduced;
5) the water-based multicolor paint provided by the invention does not use cellulose in a formula system, so that the mildew-proof and antibacterial capabilities of the paint are improved.

All the starting materials in the present invention, the sources of which are not particularly limited, may be either commercially available or prepared according to conventional methods well known to those skilled in the art. The invention provides a preparation method of a water-based multicolor paint based on lithium-based attapulgite, which comprises the following steps:
(1) modification treatment of lithium-based attapulgite
Mixing and stirring lithium-based attapulgite and deionized water, soaking for 2 hours, adjusting the pH value to 9 by using ammonia water, then adding acrylamide and methyltrimethoxysilane, uniformly stirring, heating to 60-70 ℃, preserving heat for 2-3 hours, dehydrating, washing for 2 times by using the deionized water, and drying to obtain modified lithium-based attapulgite;
mixing the modified lithium-based attapulgite with deionized water according to the weight ratio of (10-20): 100, preparing modified lithium-based attapulgite sol, and standing for 48 hours for later use;
(2) formulating the dispersed phase
Taking deionized water with the formula amount, adding a dispersing agent and a defoaming agent, adding titanium dioxide and kaolin, stirring at a high speed for dispersing, specifically, stirring and dispersing at the rotating speed of 1000-;

(3) Preparing the continuous phase

According to the method provided by the invention, the dosage of each raw material component in the dispersed phase can be selected in a wide range, and preferably, in the invention, the dispersed phase is prepared from the following raw material components in percentage by weight: 0.5-6% of modified lithium-based attapulgite sol, 24-32% of acrylic emulsion, 5-15% of titanium dioxide, 7-12% of kaolin, 0.2-0.6% of dispersing agent, 1-2.5% of film-forming assistant, 0.2% of defoaming agent, 0.1-1.5% of polyurethane thickener and 50-70% of deionized water.
According to the method provided by the invention, the dosage of each raw material component in the continuous phase can be selected in a wide range, and preferably, in the invention, the continuous phase is prepared from the following raw material components in percentage by weight: 1-9% of modified lithium-based attapulgite sol, 26-35% of acrylic emulsion, 1-2.5% of film-forming additive, 0.2% of defoaming agent, 0.1-1.5% of polyurethane thickener and 40-60% of deionized water.
