Abstract
The invention relates to a Chinese toon flavor essence for cigarettes, which comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 0.01 to 6.73 percent of 2-isopropyl-3-methoxyl pyrazine; 0.60% -12.11% of eugenol; 0.01 to 0.04 percent of beta-ionone. The essence also comprises a solvent, 3-30% of beta-cyclodextrin, 3-30% of pregelatinized starch or 3-30% of octenyl succinic acid starch ester. The invention also relates to a cigarette containing the toona sinensis flavor, wherein the toona sinensis flavor is added to the surface of a cigarette filter tip, a cigarette coil paper or the surface of cigarette cut tobacco, so that smoke generated by the cigarette has a toona sinensis note. According to the invention, three substances, namely 2-isopropyl-3-methoxypyrazine, eugenol and beta-ionone, which do not have the toona sinensis flavor are combined in the presence of a solvent, and the toona sinensis flavor for cigarettes is obtained unexpectedly.

0.01 to 6.73 percent of 2-isopropyl-3-methoxyl pyrazine;
