技术领域
本发明涉及平视显示器。
背景技术
在汽车等交通工具中,车速、发动机转速等信息通常显示在仪表控制板内的仪表盘(instrument panel)上。此外,汽车导航等画面被显示在组装于仪表控制板内或设置在仪表控制板上的显示器上。为此,作为用于在驾驶员观看这些信息时抑制其视线大幅移动的技术,已知一种将车速等信息、关于汽车导航的指示等信息投射到挡风玻璃(风挡)等上来显示虚像的平视显示器(Head Up Display,下文有时记作“HUD”)。
若HUD受到太阳光的影响而升至高温,收纳在HUD的箱体内的光学部件、液晶面板(LCD)可能会上升至耐热温度以上导致发生损坏。于是,在专利文献1中,作为用于提高设置于HUD中的显示装置的耐热性的技术,记载了这样的内容,“显示单元包括显示部件、蓄热部件和导热性粘接层,显示部件具有能够发出与图像对应的显示光的显示面,蓄热部件具有导热性,其配置在显示部件的显示面上不会遮挡通过显示区域的显示光的位置处,导热性粘接层设置在显示部件与蓄热部件之间,由导热性粘接剂组成”。

发明内容
发明要解决的技术问题
HUD的箱体内收纳有透镜、液晶面板和作为背光源的LED等光学部件。为了避免太阳光、LED产生的热量滞留于箱体内部导致这些光学部件损坏,可以考虑在箱体壁部设置外部气体的通风口。但是,若设置了通风口,可能会出现灰尘在光路上飞舞,以及灰尘附着到光学部件上的情况。
此外,因为需要将HUD收纳在仪表控制板内的有限空间中,所以HUD的尺寸存在限制。由此,在HUD迈向实用化时,除了希望提高散热性和防尘性之外,还希望满足小型化需求。但是专利文献1仅以提高LCD显示面的耐热性作为目的,不能满足上述需求。
为此,本发明的目的在于提供一种HUD,除了追求散热性和防尘性的提高之外,还追求包含小型化在内的可安装性方面所要求的性能。
解决问题的技术手段
为解决上述问题,本发明具有其技术方案所述的结构。举一例如下,本发明提供一种对驾驶员显示虚像的平视显示器,其特征在于,包括:影像显示装置,其包括背光源和液晶面板;虚像光学系统,其形成从所述液晶面板出射的影像光的光路;和外装箱体,其收纳所述影像显示装置和所述虚像光学系统,所述外装箱体包括:外装壳体,其收纳所述虚像光学系统,并且所述影像显示装置安装于所述外装壳体;上部罩,其覆盖所述外装壳体的上部,该上部是所述外装壳体中的出射所述影像光的部分;和底部罩,其覆盖所述外装壳体的底部,所述底部罩在固定于所述外装壳体的状态下,收纳所述外装壳体的底面和所述影像显示装置使它们与所述外装箱体的外部空间隔离,所述底部罩的外表面设置有翅片。
发明效果
采用本发明能够提供一种HUD,其除了追求散热性和防尘性的提高之外,还追求包含小型化在内的可安装性方面所要求的性能。上述以外的目的、特征和效果可通过下述实施方式得以明确。

具体实施方式
下面基于附图详细说明本发明的实施方式。所有附图原则上对相同部件标注相同标记,省略重复说明。对于某个图中标注了标记并进行了说明的部位,在说明其他图时,有时不会再次图示但会标注同一标记并提及该部位。以下所示的各实施方式中,以平视显示器(HUD)设置于汽车等车辆的情况为例进行说明,但其也能够应用于列车、飞机等其他交通工具。此外,也能够在交通工具以外的用途中应用HUD。
图1是本实施方式的平视显示器(HUD)1的概略结构图。图2是表示HUD1的外装箱体50内的箭头所示的光路L的立体图。
如图1所示,HUD1包括影像显示装置30、构成虚像光学系统40的光学部件、凹面镜驱动部44和外装箱体50,其中,影像显示装置30包含LCD(Liquid Crystal Display,液晶显示器)面板31c,上述光学部件包括将从影像显示装置30出射的影像光放大的透镜单元41、使光路L折转的反射镜42和用于对影像光所含的影像信息进行放大投射的凹面镜43,凹面镜驱动部44对凹面镜43进行旋转驱动,外装箱体50用于收纳这些光学部件、凹面镜驱动部44和影像显示装置30。外装箱体50的外表面形成有翅片63。
凹面镜43在凹面镜驱动部44的驱动下转动。由此,凹面镜43能够改变向着挡风玻璃3反射影像光的角度。影像光被凹面镜43反射而投射到车辆2的挡风玻璃3上。投射到挡风玻璃3上的影像光入射到驾驶员5的眼睛,从而驾驶员5能够在车辆2的前方观察到虚像80。
被投射部件不限于挡风玻璃3,只要是影像光能够投射到的部件即可,可以是呈像镜(combiner)等其他部件。
透镜单元41是用于调节光路L的光学距离,或对影像光所含的显示对象的像的畸变进行校正的透镜组。
沿着影像显示装置30的影像光的出射方向,按距离影像显示装置30从近到远的顺序配置透镜单元41、反射镜42、凹面镜43来形成虚像光学系统40,其被收纳在外装箱体50的内部。
如图2所示,外装箱体50包括收纳光学部件的外装壳体51,覆盖外装壳体51的上部的上部罩52,和覆盖外装壳体51的底部开口的底部罩60(参照图3)。
上部罩52形成有用于出射影像光的出射开口部52a。出射开口部52a被防眩板53覆盖。
LCD面板31c出射的影像光通过透镜单元41(图2中省略图示)后,由反射镜42使其光路L折转而去往凹面镜43。然后,在凹面镜43上进一步反射,透过防眩板53从外装箱体50出射。
在外装箱体50内使光路L折转,能够将背光源31a(参照图6)到驾驶员5的眼睛之间的光路L形成得更长。光路L延长,则从驾驶员5看来,虚像80能够显示在更远的位置。驾驶员5在驾驶时注视的视点,通常随行驶速度越快而变得越远。HUD1通过使光路L折转来增大虚像距离,对于驾驶时注视着远方的驾驶员5来说,为了观察虚像80而进行的视点移动的距离能够更短。
图3是外装箱体50的底部立体图。图4是外装箱体50的底部平面图。图5是底部罩60的构造说明图,将平面图(a)、底部罩60的内表面立体图(b)、左立体图(c)、右立体图(d)和外观立体图(e)相关联地图示。图6是底部罩60的组装说明图。图7是图4的A-A截面图。
如图3、图4、图5所示,外装箱体50通过用底部罩60覆盖外装壳体51的底面而形成。底部罩60包括底部平面61、底部第一倾斜面62R和底部第二倾斜面62L,其中,底部第一倾斜面62R从底部平面61的一个侧部(图3中的右侧)去往外装壳体51的一个侧部(图3中的右侧)而倾斜,底部第二倾斜面从底部平面61的另一个侧部(图3中的左侧)去往外装壳体51的另一个侧部(图3中的左侧)而倾斜。
底部罩60使用导热性比空气高的材质,例如铁、铝、铜等金属材料或陶瓷等非金属材料而构成。
在底部第一倾斜面62R,设置有由大致三角形的板状部件排列而形成的翅片63。此外,在底部平面61形成有向外装壳体51的内部空间侧凹陷的凹部64。外装箱体50为了提高防尘性,优选在将上部罩52和底部罩60固定于外装壳体51的状态下为大致密闭状态。从而,在外装箱体50、上部罩52和底部罩60的任一者均没有形成通气孔。因此,需要设法将外装箱体50内的热量向外装箱体50的外部散发。上述翅片63和凹部64就是用于提高外装箱体50的散热性能的部件。详细内容后述。
如图6所示,外装壳体51的底部形成为,以外装壳体51的上部——上部罩52安装于此处——为基准向进深方向突出(向里突出)。具体地说,包括电路板保持面51b、壳体第一倾斜面51R和壳体第二倾斜面51L,其中,以外装壳体51的上部为基准,沿着进深方向,电路板保持面51b位于最远处,壳体第一倾斜面51R从电路板保持面51b的一个侧部(图6中的右侧)去往外装壳体51的另一个侧部(图6中的右侧)而倾斜,壳体第二倾斜面51L从电路板保持面51b的另一个侧部(图6中的左侧)去往外装壳体51的另一个侧部(图6中的左侧)而倾斜。
壳体第一倾斜面51R形成有用于安装影像显示装置30的安装开口部51R1。影像显示装置30包括背光源31a、将背光源31a发出的光引导到LCD面板31c的导光体31b、和用于显示要显示的对象的LCD面板31c。背光源31a发出的光透过LCD面板31c出射时,形成了包含显示对象的像的影像光,从LCD面板31c出射影像光。
背光源31a例如作为固体光源使用价格较低且可靠性高的LED(Light EmittingDiode,发光二极管)基板。为了实现高输出化,背光源31a采用面发光型背光源。
将LCD面板31c嵌入外装壳体51的安装开口部51R1,来安装影像显示装置30。由此,影像显示装置30以背光源31a露出在外的状态安装在外装壳体51上。在该状态下,当用底部罩60覆盖外装壳体51时,底部第一倾斜面62R的内表面与背光源31a相对。由此,与底部罩60的其他部分相比,背光源31a产生的热量更快地传递至底部第一倾斜面62R。由于在底部第一倾斜面62R的外表面形成有翅片63,所以传递至底部第一倾斜面62R的背光源31a的热量能够从翅片63散发,散热性能得以提高。
HUD1构成为将CPU(控制电路)71和安装了该CPU的主电路板70收纳在外装箱体50内,其中,CPU用于对凹面镜驱动部44和影像显示装置30进行控制。影像显示装置30经由柔性电缆从主电路板70输入影像信号,基于该影像信号将显示对象显示在LCD面板31c上,对来自背光源31a的光进行调制来出射影像光。
如图6所示,主电路板70由螺纹件(紧固部件,例如螺钉)75固定于外装壳体51的电路板保持面51b。在CPU71上载置导热性比空气高的导热性片79。然后,将底部罩60用螺纹件65固定在外装壳体51上。
如图7所示,凹部64设置在与CPU71相对的位置,因此形成了从CPU71经由导热性片79到达底部罩60的热传递路径。
凹部64的凹陷深度优选为,隔着导热性片79在凹部64的底面与CPU71之间不产生空隙。由此,能够抑制在从CPU71经由导热性片79到达底部罩60的热传递路径上形成空气层,能够进一步提高导热性。
采用本实施方式的HUD1,上部罩52、外装壳体51和底部罩60不具有通气孔那样的开口部,在将它们组合的状态下,外装箱体50是密闭的,因此能够提高防尘性。此处所说的密闭,只要在使用螺纹件75将底部罩60固定于外装壳体51的状态下,外装壳体51的底面和影像显示装置30能够与外装箱体50的外部空间隔离地被收纳即可,并不要求严格的气密性。当然,气密性越高越好,但并不要求例如在外装壳体51与底部罩60之间插入密封衬垫以确保气密性。
由于HUD1要实现小型化,其内部空间变窄,不得不将作为热源的背光源31a与需要实施散热措施的CPU71靠近配置。因此,需要在考虑了外装箱体50的密闭性的基础上,实施尤其是CPU71的散热措施。
此处,通过在底部罩60上的与背光源31a相对的部位的外表面设置翅片63,能够更快地将背光源31a产生的热量从底部罩60的翅片63散发出去。由此,能够抑制热量滞留于外装箱体50内部。
CPU71自身也会发热,但其热量能够经由导热性片79传递至底部罩60。由此,能够进一步抑制热量滞留于外装箱体50内部,抑制CPU71的温度上升。
此外,通过将翅片63与底部罩60一体成形,翅片63能够起到底部罩60的加强肋构造的作用。由此,能够提高底部罩60的强度。
上述实施方式并不限定本发明,不脱离本发明的思想的范围内的变更方式也属于本发明的技术范围。
参照图8、图9说明其他实施方式。图8、图9是底部罩60a、60b的构造说明图,将平面图(a)、底部罩60的内表面立体图(b)、左立体图(c)、右立体图(d)和外观立体图(e)相关联地图示。图10是底部罩60c的外观立体图。
图8所示的底部罩60a中,翅片63a的形状与上述底部罩60的翅片63相比有所不同。在底部罩60a形成有由多排突起排列构成的翅片63a,各突起跨底部第一倾斜面62R、底部平面61和底部第二倾斜面62L连续形成。通过遍及底部罩60a的整个长度方向设置翅片63a而形成加强肋构造,能够增加底部罩60a的强度。此外,与底部罩60的翅片63相比,还能够增大表面积,能够提高散热性。
图9所示的底部罩60b中,翅片63b的形状和设置位置与上述底部罩60的翅片63相比有所不同。在底部罩60b形成有由多排突起排列构成的翅片63b,各突起与底部平面61的宽度方向大致平行。取决于搭载HUD1的仪表控制板内侧的形状,可能无法在背光源31a的相对面(例如底部第一倾斜面62R)的外表面形成翅片。该情况下,可以将翅片设置在底部罩60b的其他部位。
图10所示的底部罩60c中,在上述的底部罩60中不具有底部第二倾斜面62L,与底部平面61连续地仅形成底部第一倾斜面62R。并且,在底部第一倾斜面62R上排列多个板状部件而形成翅片63c。与具有底部第二倾斜面62L的结构相比能够实现轻量化。

Claims (6)
1.一种对驾驶员显示虚像的平视显示器,其特征在于,包括:
影像显示装置,其包括背光源和液晶面板;
虚像光学系统,其形成从所述液晶面板出射的影像光的光路;和
外装箱体,其收纳所述影像显示装置和所述虚像光学系统,
所述外装箱体包括:
外装壳体,其收纳所述虚像光学系统,并且所述影像显示装置安装于所述外装壳体;
上部罩,其覆盖所述外装壳体的上部,该上部是所述外装壳体中的出射所述影像光的部分;和
底部罩,其覆盖所述外装壳体的底部,
所述底部罩在固定于所述外装壳体的状态下,收纳所述外装壳体的底面和所述影像显示装置使之与所述外装箱体的外部空间隔离,所述底部罩的外表面设置有翅片。
2.如权利要求1所述的平视显示器,其特征在于:
所述影像显示装置以所述液晶面板露出到所述外装壳体的内部空间、所述背光源露出到所述外装壳体的外部的方式安装于所述外装壳体,
所述翅片形成在所述底部罩的与所述背光源相对的面的外表面。
3.如权利要求1所述的平视显示器,其特征在于:
还包括进行所述影像显示装置的控制的控制电路,和搭载有该控制电路的主电路板,
所述外装壳体在与所述底部罩相对的面具有用于保持所述主电路板的电路板保持面,
在保持于所述电路板保持面的所述主电路板上的所述控制电路与所述底部罩之间,配置有导热性比空气高的导热性片。
4.如权利要求3所述的平视显示器,其特征在于:
在所述底部罩的与所述控制电路相对的面,形成有向所述控制电路凹陷的凹部。
5.如权利要求2所述的平视显示器,其特征在于:
还包括进行所述影像显示装置的控制的控制电路,和搭载有该控制电路的主电路板,
所述外装壳体在与所述底部罩相对的面具有用于保持所述主电路板的电路板保持面,
在保持于所述电路板保持面的所述主电路板上的所述控制电路与所述底部罩之间,配置有导热性比空气高的导热性片。
6.如权利要求5所述的平视显示器,其特征在于:
在所述底部罩的与所述控制电路相对的面,形成有向所述控制电路凹陷的凹部。
