The continuous cropping obstacle refers to the abnormal growth and development of crops caused by continuously cultivating the same crop or closely related crops on the same soil. Continuous cropping obstacles exist in many crops, such as pepper, melon, bitter gourd, tomato, eggplant and the like.
Fructus Zanthoxyli (Zanthoxylum. L) belongs to Rutaceae (Rutaceae), deciduous shrub or small tree, its fruit contains aromatic oil, not only is important food flavoring raw material, but also can be used as antiseptic, and its fruit, rhizome and leaf can be used as medicine, and has effects of dispelling pathogenic wind and cold, promoting blood circulation and relaxing muscles and tendons, relieving pain, anesthesia, resisting bacteria, killing parasite, resisting cancer, etc.; the extract or volatile oil can resist virus, prevent and kill germs and microorganisms, and is an important economic and medicinal plant. Experimental research shows that the allelopathy of the pepper is an important cause of continuous cropping obstacle, and directly reduces the efficiency and the period of land utilization.
In areas such as Guizhou Yuanyang, the pepper is a common crop. However, as the Guizhou Yuyang area belongs to a severe ecological degradation area under the karst landform, the ecological environment is very fragile, and the ecology of the area needs to be recovered more urgently due to the soil continuous cropping obstacle caused by continuous planting of the pepper. Therefore, how to effectively relieve or reduce the continuous cropping obstacles caused by the allelopathy of the pepper in the karst landform area and how to reasonably utilize the characteristics of the local terrain without influencing the economic benefit of people to recover the ecological environment becomes a problem which needs to be solved urgently.
