背景技术

本发明人等为了解决前述问题而反复深入研究,结果发现,通过将甘草提取物添加到哺乳动物用饲料中,能够改善摄取了该饲料的哺乳动物的超数排卵处理后得到的胚胎品质,基于这种发现完成了本发明。即,本发明如以下所述。

本发明中,甘草指的是属于甘草属(Glycyrrhiza)的植物。甘草属为在地中海地区、小亚细亚、俄罗斯南部、中亚细亚、中国北部、北美洲等野生的豆科的多年生草本植物。本发明中,可以使用例如:刺甘草(Glycyrrhiza acanthocarpa)、粗毛甘草(G.aspera)、直甘草(G.astragalina)、白花甘草(G.bucharica)、刺毛甘草(G.echinata)(俄罗斯甘草)、无腺毛甘草(G.eglandulosa)、臭甘草(G.foetida)、旱地甘草(G.foetidissima)、光果甘草(G.glabra)(西班牙甘草)、假甘草(G.gontscharovii)、管甘草(G.iconica)、胀果甘草(G.inflate)、黄甘草(G.korshinskyi)、北美甘草(G.lepidota)(美国甘草)、刺果甘草(G.pallidiflora)、圆果甘草(G.squamulosa)、三叶甘草(G.triphylla)、乌拉尔甘草(G.uralensis)、云南甘草(G.yunnanensis)、新疆甘草(G.inflata)。它们可以使用1种或组合使用2种以上。

对于甘草提取物的提取溶剂没有特别限定,例如可以使用水、醇(例如甲醇、乙醇、正丙醇、正丁醇等)、丙酮、乙酸乙酯等。另外,得到其干燥粉末的情况下,例如可以通过利用减压干燥、喷雾干燥等本领域技术人员通常使用的方法去除提取物的溶剂来得到。

本发明的甘草提取物的给予量,只要得到效果则没有特别限制,为10~40g/天/头、优选15~25g/天/头、更优选20g/天/头。
本发明的甘草提取物的给予期间,只要得到所希望效果则可以为任意的期间,但是优选给予60天以上。
实施例
将具有1~4次的分娩经验、由最后的分娩起至少60天后通过超声波检查而发现具有正常子宫的黑毛日本种(n=136)用作实验动物。对于处理组(n=90)的动物,以20g/天/头持续性地给予甘草提取物(Fabric Onishi Co.,Ltd.、具有至少13%的甘草酸含量)60~90天直至回收胚胎为止。对照组(n=46)由最后的分娩日起直至胚胎回收为止完全不摄取甘草。

在处理组(21.7±11.8)和对照组(15.8±11.3)之间,卵子/胚胎的平均数没有发现显著性差异,但是前者存在提供更多的卵母细胞的倾向。在处理组(13.1±8.3)和对照组(8.1±5.3)之间,能够移植的胚胎的平均数发现显著性差异(p<0.05)。另外,对于平均胚胎品质评分而言,处理组(1.6±0.4)相对于对照组(2.2±0.6)显著优异。对于能够移植的胚胎的比率而言,处理组(60.3±26.4%)与对照组(51.2±26.0%)相比显著优异(p<0.05)。
这些结果示出,对于黑毛日本种进行60天以上的甘草提取物的饲养,改善超数排卵处理后得到的胚胎的品质,实现每头牛的能够移植的胚胎的平均数的增加。
产业上的可利用性
本发明的饲料添加剂对于改善超数排卵处理后得到的胚胎品质而言有用。
Claims (6)
1.一种用于改善超数排卵处理后得到的胚胎品质的哺乳动物的饲料添加剂,所述饲料添加剂含有甘草提取物。
2.根据权利要求1所述的饲料添加剂,其中,哺乳动物为牛。
3.一种用于改善超数排卵处理后得到的胚胎品质的方法,其包括使用添加有甘草提取物的饲料饲养经过超数排卵处理的哺乳动物。
4.根据权利要求3所述的方法,其中,哺乳动物为牛。
5.根据权利要求4所述的方法,其中,以20g/天/头的用量给予甘草提取物。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中,给予甘草提取物60天以上。
