背景技术
本公开总体涉及用于保持产品的增强包装以及形成包装的方法。更具体地,本公开涉及用于形成包装的方法和系统,所述包装包括用于支撑袋的增强套筒。
传统上已经使用袋(诸如纸袋或塑料袋)来包装和运输从诸如大米或沙子的散装材料到更大物品的产品。袋通常是廉价的且易于制造,并且可以以不同配置和大小形成,并且可用于存储和运输多种多样的产品。特别地,在快餐业中,袋经常用来包装准备好的食物,诸如三明治等。当前,对可让工作者容易地打开袋(诸如用一只手)并将袋支撑在打开配置以提高这种产品的包装的效率的用于包装各种产品(包括三明治、炸薯条和其他准备好的食物)的袋或类似包装的需求日益增长。然而,同样重要的是,必须尽可能最小化这种袋的成本。尽管已经开发了包括增强或支撑材料的各种袋设计,但通常,具有增强层或向其供应的材料的这种专用袋的制造要求多个阶段或操作,这可能会显著地增加这种包装的制造成本。
发明内容

具体实施方式
本公开总体涉及一种形成用于保持产品(诸如食物或其他物品)的增强包装的系统和方法。根据本公开的包装可容纳具有任何形状的物品。包装可包括袋或衬里,袋或衬里包括相对柔性材料,该相对柔性材料附接到包括相对刚性材料(例如,纸板)的增强构造物。袋通常可由纸、塑料、层压物或其他原料制成,并且可附接到可位于袋的敞开端与密封或封闭端之间的增强构造物。在一个实施例中,袋包括聚乙烯材料或任何其他合适的可热封材料。增强构造物可具有变化的宽度,并且可在袋的封闭端周围或上方延伸,在一些实施例中包封这种封闭端,并且在其中装载产品或物品或一系列物品时将为袋提供支撑。在一些实施例中,增强构造物可用其袋折叠成将袋支撑在独自站立、竖立和打开状态的配置以便于装载。

一般来讲,坯件10可围绕折叠线26、27折叠以形成增强套筒5。例如,第一后面板23和第二后面板25的远端55、57可重叠,并且套筒5如图1、图3和图4所示附接到袋3。在一个实施例中,胶粘区域或另一种粘合剂可延伸到远端55、57中的一者或两者中,使得当形成增强套筒5时,后面板23、25的重叠部分彼此粘附。单独的面板部分28A、28B、29A和29B可在袋3的第一非竖立位置面对面对准,如图1所示。所示出的第一非竖立位置减小和/或最小化内部空间17的容积,使得包装1处在非竖立或展平状态。非竖立状态可便于容易地将多个包装堆叠到例如装运容器中以及在目的地设施处的后续组织。单独的面板部分28A、28B、29A和29B可弯曲或定位成在袋3的第二竖立位置形成包装1的第一侧面58和第二侧面59,如图3和图4所示。所示出的第二竖立位置增大和/或最大化内部空间17的容积,使得包装1处在竖立或自支撑状态。当包装处在竖立状态时(图3),袋3的包括封闭端9的尾部区段73可沿箭头A1的方向向上地延伸到套筒5的内部56中。此外,当包装1处在竖立状态以接触表面S时(图4),底边缘53形成支撑。由底边缘53形成的支撑将包装在表面S上维持在竖立位置。如图3和图4进一步示出,当包装1处在竖立状态时,袋3的带角撑板的侧面60可维持延伸。根据一些实施例,包装1的其他居间状态,包括包装1未完全地竖立的中间状态,也是适用的。此外,根据一些实施例,不同配置的附加增强套筒也是适用的。在不脱离本公开的情况下,增强包装1可以以其他方式成形、布置和配置。
图5总体示出了根据本公开的用于形成增强包装(例如,增强包装1)的系统和方法100的示例实施例。在所示出的实施例中,包装系统100将用于形成包装1的袋3的材料101的幅材附接到坯件10,并且附接的坯件和幅材大体沿机器方向M(例如,下游方向)通过包装系统100从上游端103移动到下游端105,并且通过该系统的各种部分和部件形成单独包装,如以下进一步论述的。系统100可与2016年4月29日提交的美国专利申请No.15/142,103中公开的系统类似或相同,该专利申请出于所有目的以引用的方式并入本文。替代地,在不脱离本公开的情况下,可以其他方式形成增强包装1。
如图5所示,在用于制造增强包装1的系统和方法100中,可包括预印刷或未印刷的纸、聚乙烯、层压物或包括柔性且可热封材料的其他材料的袋材料101的幅材例如从辊或供应装置102进料。在一个实施例中,袋材料101可预印刷有各种设计、文字、标签和/或其他图形,并且可在表面(例如,沿着袋3的内部延伸的表面)上具有可热封涂层(例如,聚乙烯)。在其他实施例中,袋材料101可为穿孔的印刷卷材,其可包括被定位成便于将幅材101形成为所形成的包装1中的袋3的图案化粘合剂。
在一个实施例中,纸箱进给器107定位在系统100的上游端103处,并且包括被进给到坯件输送机109的纸箱坯件10的堆叠108。如图5所示,纸箱进给器107是拾放式纸箱进给器,其包括具有吸盘的臂110或用于保持坯件10并将坯件从堆叠108移动到坯件输送机109的任何其他合适的致动器。替代地,在不脱离本公开的情况下,纸箱进给器可包括其他类型的进给器,诸如直接从坯件切割站传送坯件10的机构,或任何其他合适类型的进给器或其他机构。
如图5所示,坯件输送机109包括具有凸耳113的两个间隔开的凸耳带或轨道111来接合一系列坯件10并在机器方向M上输送坯件。在所示出的实施例中,凸耳带111可为环形带,其均具有沿着相应带间隔开的多个凸耳113。在一个实施例中,凸耳113可在凸耳带111上以大约增强包装1中的袋3的高度间隔开。坯件输送机109从纸箱进给器107接收坯件10并使一系列坯件10从纸箱进给器107移动以使其被胶粘并附接到袋材料101。在所示出的实施例中,粘合剂施加器116可将粘合剂施加到坯件10(例如,在粘合区域43处),并且材料101的幅材可在一个或多个辊上方从卷102解卷并被引导为沿机器方向在凸耳带111上方(例如,大体上平行于该凸耳带)移动,使得材料101的幅材可与坯件10接触。在一个实施例中,压缩夹持辊117可在材料101的幅材上方定位在粘合剂施加器116下游,并且相对的夹持辊或其他表面(未示出)可设置在坯件10下方,使得例如,夹持辊可接收材料101的幅材和坯件10并将材料101的幅材压靠坯件10以经由由粘合剂施加器116施加的粘合剂将幅材粘合地附接到坯件。在一个实施例中,夹持辊117和相对辊可设置在凸耳带111之间,使得凸耳113可经过辊。在不脱离本公开的情况下,坯件10可通过其他合适的机构附接到幅材101。
在一个实施例中,如图5示意性示出的,附接有坯件10的幅材101(以下简称为所附接的幅材W')从坯件输送机109行进通过一系列辊121、123而到达系统100的管成型组件125。管成型组件125可包括用于将材料101的幅材形成为端部敞开的管101'的幅材折叠特征。在一个实施例中,管成型组件125可包括成型辊126和其他导向特征(未示出),该成型辊和其他导向特征将幅材101形成并成形为具有侧角撑板60和折叠线61的管101'(图3和图4)。在所示出的实施例中,边际部分65、67可以被引导以向上地且向内地折叠,并且然后彼此重叠,同时在中心部分63与重叠的边际部分65、67之间形成角撑板部分60。在幅材被形成为管101'时,幅材粘合剂施加器127可将粘合剂施加到幅材101。在边际部分65、67重叠以在管101'中形成纵向接缝71(图1、图3和图4)时,可通过粘合剂施加器127将粘合剂72施加到边际部分中的一者或两者。在不脱离本公开的情况下,可以其他方式形成接缝71。此外,在不脱离本公开的情况下,可以其他方式配置管成型组件125。
在一个实施例中,所附接的幅材W'从系统100的管成型组件125移动到纸箱成型组件131。在一个实施例中,纸箱成型组件131包括纸箱折叠特征(未示出),其定位坯件10的各种翻折部和面板。此外,系统100可包括用于使坯件10的折叠线(例如,弧形折叠线31、33、35、37)破裂的折叠器(未示出),该折叠器在管成型组件125与纸箱成型组件131之间。在一个实施例中,纸箱成型组件131包括纸箱粘合剂施加器135,该纸箱粘合剂施加器将粘合剂施加到坯件10,使得在所附接的幅材W'移动通过纸箱成型组件131时,面板(例如,第一后面板23和第二后面板25)可折叠(例如,沿着折叠线26、27)、重叠并粘附以将坯件10形成为增强套筒5。另外,后面板23、25可压靠管(例如,通过夹持辊137),使得施加在粘合区域41、45(图2)处的粘合剂可将后面板附接到管。在一个实施例中,后面板23、25可至少部分地重叠并可彼此粘附。在不脱离本公开的情况下,纸箱成型组件131可以其他方式配置。
如图5所示,系统100包括具有在纸箱成型组件131下游的一个或多个切割特征的切割组件151。在所示出的实施例中,切割组件是旋转切割组件151,其包括切割辊153和基辊155,所述切割辊153和基辊155将所附接的幅材W'切割成包括附接到相应端部敞开的管部分147的套筒5的端部敞开的包装160。在一个实施例中,切割辊153可具有被配置为切割管101'的边缘157或其他切割特征。通过在对应于端部敞开的包装160的尾部区段73的位置处和在对应于将是后续端部敞开的包装160的物体的顶部边缘7的位置处切割材料101的幅材,所附接的幅材W'被切割并分开成端部敞开的包装160。在所示出的实施例中,在管中进行切割以形成从套筒5向外地延伸超过底边缘53的尾部区段73,使得尾部区段73在相应端部敞开的包装160的上游端处在套筒5(图1)外部。在切割之后,端部敞开的包装160,包括套管5以及在尾部部分73处具有敞开顶端7和敞开底端的端部敞开的管部分147,现在与所附接的幅材W'的其余部分分开。在不脱离本公开的情况下,可通过其他机构将所附接的幅材W'切割并形成为端部敞开的包装160。另外,在不脱离本公开的情况下,旋转切割组件151可以其他方式成形、布置和/或配置。
在示例性实施例中,一旦通过系统100形成具有套筒5和端部敞开的管部分147的端部敞开的包装160,端部敞开的包装160就可被传递到密封系统200(图6至图15)来在尾部区段73中形成横向密封69以将端部敞开的管部分147形成为用于增强包装1中的每个增强包装的袋3。例如,端部敞开的包装160可通过一个或多个诸如带式输送机162的输送机从系统100直接地被传递到密封系统200(图6)。替代地,端部敞开的包装160可堆叠并可存储和/或运输到密封系统200,在那里,堆叠的端部敞开的包装160可通过进给器(未示出)被引入到密封系统200,该进给器类似于系统100的纸箱进给器107(图5)。
如图6至图8所示,密封系统200可包括包装进给器201、包装输送机203和热板组件205,其均安装到基座框架206。在所示出的实施例中,包装进给器201(例如,图6至图8)可从系统100(例如,经由带式输送机162)或从堆叠的包装中接收端部敞开的包装160,并且可将端部敞开的包装160放置到包装输送机203上。一般来讲,并且如以下更详细地描述的,包装输送机203可接合端部敞开的包装160,并且将它们顺序地移动经过热板组件205来在尾部区段73上至少部分地形成横向密封69。在所示出的实施例中,热板组件205可包括安装在枢轴框架213上的一个或多个热板211,该枢轴框架可从关闭位置(例如,图6、图7和图13)枢转到打开位置(例如,图8)。热板组件205的打开位置可便于对密封系统200进行调整,如以下更详细地论述的。
如图8至图12所示,包装输送机203包括具有推杆凸耳217的两个间隔开的凸耳带或轨道215以便接合一系列端部敞开的包装160(图10至图14)并沿机器方向M输送端部敞开的包装。在一个实施例中,凸耳带215可由马达218驱动,该马达可安装到基座框架206(图6、图7和图10)。在所示出的实施例中,凸耳带215可为环形带,每个环形带均接合包括上游轮243和下游轮247的多个轮。如图10所示,下游轮247可由马达218驱动以使轮上的凸耳带215移动,使得凸耳带215在包装输送机203的顶部上沿机器方向M移动并在包装输送机203的底侧上沿返回方向R移动。在一个实施例中,其他轮可为惰轮和/或可为从动轮。在所示出的实施例中,凸耳带215可沿着包装输送机203的顶部并在上游轮243与下游轮247之间被支撑在支撑轨道220中。在一个实施例中,支撑轨道220可安装在基座框架206上。如图10所示,推杆凸耳217沿着相应凸耳带215间隔开。在一个实施例中,推杆凸耳113可在凸耳带111上间隔开至少端部敞开的管部分147的高度。如图8至图15所示,包装输送机203可包括用于接合端部敞开的管部分147的相应尾部区段73的链板219。链板219中的每个链板可横向于机器方向M从在一个凸耳带215上的推杆凸耳217延伸到在另一个凸耳带215上的推杆凸耳217。因此,在所示出的实施例中,链板219与凸耳带215的每对推杆凸耳217相关联。在示例性实施例中,链板219可通过紧固件222(图14)或通过粘合剂附连到凸耳217,或者可以其他方式连接到推杆凸耳217对或与之一体形成。
如图9和图13所示,链板219可具有第一凹陷表面221、第二上表面223以及在凹陷表面221与上表面223之间延伸的倾斜表面225。在所示出的实施例中,链板219可为金属(例如,铝)或可以是可被加热并可适当地将热能传递到尾部区段73的其他合适的材料,如以下更详细地描述的。在一个实施例中,链板219的铝可保持暴露以便进行更有效的热传递。替代地,保护材料(例如,带或织物)可施加到链板219的表面以帮助防止端部敞开的包装160的擦破、在端部敞开的包装160与链板219之间的粘附和/或在端部敞开的包装160与链板219之间的摩擦。例如,保护材料可为聚四氟乙烯或任何其他合适的材料(例如,具有低摩擦系数)。在一个实施例中,链板219的长度(例如,横向于机械方向M延伸的尺寸)可至少等于要形成在尾部区段73上的接缝69的长度(图1、图3和图12)。例如,在接缝69在袋3的整个宽度上延伸的情况下(例如,如图1和图3所示),链板219的长度可大于或等于尾部区段73的宽度(例如,如图12所示)。同样,如图9所示,链板219的端部部分269可在链板219的任一端处向上地延伸,并且可在其相应下游侧处具有相应接合表面227。如图9和图12所示,端部部分269均可具有凹口,该凹口在两侧上接收相应凸耳217并接合相应推杆凸耳217。紧固件222(图14)可为例如带螺纹的紧固件,并且可将端部部分269固定到相应凸耳217。如图12所示,端部部分269和推杆凸耳217可间隔开,使得在端部部分269之间的距离比端部敞开的管部分147的宽度大,但比套管5的宽度小。因此,在链板219的接合表面227接合套筒5的底边缘53(图12)时,在端部部分269之间的间距可为端部敞开的管部分147提供余隙。
在一个实施例中,如图12和图13所示,端部部分269的接合表面227可大体与在链板219的凹陷表面221与倾斜表面225之间的过渡部对准,使得凹陷表面221可接合套筒5的毗邻底边缘53的边际部分,该底边缘接合端部部分269的接合表面227,并且倾斜表面225和上表面223可帮助使尾部区段73的至少一部分相对于套筒5和端部敞开的管部分147的其余部分升高。如图13所示,例如,链板219可接合套筒5以及尾部区段73的下表面。在所示出的实施例中,如图12和图13所示,链板219可包括密封边缘229,该密封边缘被配置为在尾部区段73的密封部分SP处接合尾部区段73的下表面,其中密封部分SP可以包括在尾部区段73中的将形成密封69的位置。密封边缘229在图12中以虚线显示,其中密封边缘被尾部区段73覆盖。在一个实施例中,端部部分269的接合表面227可根据在套筒5的底边缘53与袋3的接缝69之间的期望的间距来与链板219的密封边缘229间隔开。密封边缘229可具有对应于密封69的期望的大小和形状的大小和形状。例如,密封边缘229沿机器方向M的宽度可对应于密封69的厚度。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,推杆凸耳217和/或链板219可被省略或可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。例如,链板219可为楔形的或可具有任何其他合适的形状。
如图8至图15所示,包装输送机203还可包括在凸耳带215与支撑轨道220之间沿机器方向M延伸的支撑轨道231。尽管在图中示出了两个支撑轨道231,但包装输送机203可包括一个支撑轨道或者任何合适数量的支撑轨道,或者支撑轨道可被省略。支撑轨道231可在端部敞开的包装160和链板219通过凸耳带215沿机器方向M移动时支撑它们(图10至图14)。在一个实施例中,支撑轨道231中的每个支撑轨道具有在凸耳带215下方间隔开的上表面,以在包装输送机203移动端部敞开的包装160经过热板211(图13)时帮助为端部敞开的包装160的未被链板219接合的部分提供余隙以与热板211向下地间隔开。这种配置可通过在端部敞开的包装160搁置在支撑轨道上时允许袋的未密封区与热板211间隔开来帮助避免袋3的不想要的密封。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,包装输送机203,包括凸耳带215、推杆凸耳217、链板219、支撑轨道220、轮243、247和/或支撑轨道231,可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。
如图7、图8和图10所示,热板组件205可被配置为包括四个热板211(例如,图7)或三个热板211(例如,图8和图10),这些热板安装到枢轴框架213,使得热板211中的每个热板具有面向包装输送机203的至少一部分的底表面232(图8和图13)。如图7和图8所示,枢轴框架213可通过铰接部233安装到基座框架206,这可允许枢轴框架213相对于基座框架206在关闭位置与打开位置之间枢转。在所示出的实施例中,与铰接部233相对地安装到基座框架206和/或枢转框架213的附加支撑件可将枢转框架213支撑和/或闩锁在关闭位置。如图6和图8所示,这些附加支撑件可包括一对升降设备234a,该对升降设备中的每个升降设备可包括安装在U形夹上的轮,并且可被致动(例如,通过气动致动器、液压致动器、马达或其他合适的致动器)以在铰接部233上向上地推动枢轴框架213来便于枢轴框架打开。在一个实施例中,当枢转框架在关闭位置(图6和图7)或部分地关闭或部分地打开位置时,升降设备234a的轮可接合安装在枢转框架213上的相应支架234b。如图8所示,附加支撑件238可安装在基座框架206上以将枢轴框架213支撑在关闭位置(图6和图7)。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,枢轴框架213可被省略,或者可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。例如,可以以其他方式相对于包装输送机203支撑热板211。
如图6和图8所示,热板211可连接到可安装到基座框架206的温度控制器235(例如,经由接线)来在密封工艺期间加热所述热板211并维持热板211的温度,如以下更详细地描述的。如图7、图10和图13所示,热板211中的每个热板可安装到两个加热器元件240(例如,电阻加热器或任何其他合适的加热元件),该加热器元件可由温度控制器235供电以将顶板211加热到期望的温度来密封端部敞开的套管147的尾部区段73。热电偶244可针对每个热板211(图7、图10和图13)向温度控制器提供反馈。加热器元件240中的每个加热器元件可通过相应支架248安装到两个横杆246,并且横杆246可安装到枢轴框架213以支撑热板211,如图7、图8、图10和图13所示。在不脱离本公开的情况下,热板211可以其他方式加热和/或安装到枢转框架213。
如图8、图10、图11A和图11B所示,热板211可具有宽度(例如,横向于机器方向M的水平尺寸),使得它们装配在推杆凸耳217之间并使得它们至少与袋3的接缝69的长度一样宽。例如,在接缝69在袋3的整个宽度上延伸的情况下(例如,如图1和图3所示),热板211的宽度可大于或等于尾部区段73的宽度。在一个实施例中,保护材料(例如,带或织物)可施加到热板211(例如,施加到热板211的至少底表面232)以帮助防止端部敞开的包装160的擦破、在端部敞开的包装160与热板211的底表面232之间的粘附和/或在端部敞开的包装160与热板211的底表面232之间的摩擦。例如,保护材料可为聚四氟乙烯或任何其他合适的材料(例如,具有低摩擦系数)。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,热板组件205可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。例如,任何合适数量的热板211都可安装到枢轴框架213。
如图7、图8、图10和图14所示,夹持辊236在热板组件205的下游端处安装到枢转框架213。在一个实施例中,夹持辊236通过夹持辊支架250(图6至图8以及图10)安装到枢轴框架213,使得夹持辊236围绕其轴线自由旋转。在所示出的实施例中,夹持辊236被定位成在凸耳带215与推杆凸耳217之间延伸以便在包装输送机203在夹持辊236下方沿下游方向移动包装时接合尾部区段73。在一个实施例中,夹持辊236可具有的长度(例如,在横向于机器方向M的水平方向上)大体等于尾部区段73的宽度。在示例性实施例中,夹持辊236被配置为使得在链板219在凸耳带215上移动经过夹持辊236时(图14),尾部区段73的至少一部分接合在夹持辊的表面与链板219的密封边缘229之间。在所示出的实施例中,夹持辊236具有顺应性覆盖物(例如,套筒或覆层),使得夹持辊236的表面可至少部分地符合尾部区段73的具有不同厚度的部分(例如,端部敞开的套管147和袋3可具有:四个材料层,其中角撑板60、中心部分63以及相应边际部分65、67重叠;三个材料层,其中中心部分和接缝71重叠;以及两个材料层,其中中间部分63与在角撑板60与接缝71之间的边际部分65、67中的每个边际部分重叠)。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,夹持辊236可被省略,或者可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。
在所示出的实施例中,一对刷237(例如,保持组件)可经由横杆246安装到枢轴框架,并且可沿着凸耳带215沿机器方向M延伸(图7、图8、图11A、图11B和图13)。在一个实施例中,刷237可设置在推杆凸耳217和热板211外部,并且可沿横向于机器方向M的水平方向间隔开比增套筒5的宽度小的距离。另外,刷237可定位成接合增强套筒5的上表面,使得刷237下推增强套筒5,这可帮助将端部敞开的包装160向下推靠凸耳带215、支撑轨道231和链板219(图13)。另外,刷237可拖曳增强套筒5,这可在推杆凸耳217通过凸耳带215沿机器方向M移动时帮助维持增强套筒5的底边缘53抵靠在相应推杆凸耳217的接合表面227。因此,如图13所示,刷237可帮助定位端部敞开的包装160,使得仅端部敞开的套筒147的密封部分SP与热板211接触,并且使得在包装输送机203沿下游方向移动端部敞开的包装160时,端部敞开的包装160正确地对准在包装输送机203中。
在一个实施例中,刷237可与相应凸耳带215的外部部分对准,使得链板219的外部部分269和凸耳217可立即从刷237内或在刷237的内侧附近通过。在该配置中,在凸耳带215和端部敞开的包装160沿机器方向M在刷237下方移动时,增强套筒5可被按压在刷237与凸耳带215的外部部分之间。在另一个实施例中,凸耳带215可更窄(例如,使得带的宽度对应于凸耳217的宽度)和/或刷237可安装在凸耳带215的宽度之外。在这种配置中,静态表面可在每个刷下方延伸,使得在端部敞开的包装160、链板219、凸耳217和凸耳带215沿机器方向M移动时,端部敞开的包装160可以被按压在刷237与静态表面之间。在一个示例中,静态表面可以是支撑轨道220的上表面或可与安装在轨道220外部的支撑轨道231类似的静态导向件的上表面。在一些实施例中,尽管刷237可通过将端部敞开的包装压靠凸耳带215的外部部分来将端部敞开的包装160约束在链板219上,但将端部敞开的包装160按压在两个静态特征部(刷237和静态表面)之间可比将端部敞开的包装160压靠在正移动的凸耳带215的一些部分上更好地将端部敞开的包装160约束在链板219上。
在一些实施例中,如图8、图11A和图11B所示,系统200可被配置为仅包括三个热板211而不是四个热板,并且一对附加刷239可定位在刷237内部,在三个热板211上游(例如,近似在四个热板211在图8中所在之处)。附加刷239可帮助将端部敞开的包装160与推杆凸耳217和链板219对准并将端部敞开的包装160在系统200的上游端处安置在推杆凸耳217和链板219上(图11A和图11B)。在所示出的实施例中,刷237、239经由横杆246安装到枢转框架213。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,任何刷237、239都可被省略,或者可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。例如,刷237、239可安装到基座框架206或另一个合适的特征部。
如图8和图15所示,系统200可包括预热板241,该预热板安装到基座框架206,使得预热板241的上表面242面对包装输送机203的上游端的下侧。在一个实施例中,预热板241可连接到温度控制器235来加热预热板241(例如,用加热元件)并监测预热板241的温度(例如,经由热电偶)。在所示出的实施例中,预热板241被定位成使得在凸耳带215使推杆凸耳217和链板219在包装输送机203的返回部分(例如,下侧)上沿返回方向R(例如,与机器方向M相反)向上游移动时,链板219接合和/或接触预热板241的上表面242。在一个实施例中,链板219的至少密封边缘229可接触预热板241来将热能从预热板241传递到链板219。在所示出的实施例中,预热板241可由铝或另外的合适材料制成,并且可不被涂覆和覆盖,使得链板219的金属与预热板241的金属接触以便进行从预热板到链板的有效的热传递。替代地,保护材料(例如,带或织物)可施加到预热板241(例如,施加到预热板241的至少上表面242),以在链板219沿着预热板241的上表面242滑动时帮助保护这些链板。例如,保护材料可为聚四氟乙烯或任何其他合适的材料(例如,具有低摩擦系数)。
在示例性实施例中,在接合端部敞开的管部分147的尾部区段73之前预热链板219的至少密封边缘229可帮助减少在袋3中诸如在具有多于两个材料层的位置(例如,端部敞开的套管147和袋3可具有:四个材料层,其中角撑板60、中心部分63和相应边际部分65、67重叠;三个材料层,其中中心部分和接缝71重叠;以及两个材料层,其中中心部分63与在角撑板60与接缝71之间的边际部分65、67中的每个边际部分重叠)形成密封69所需的停留时间(例如,在袋3的尾部区段73与热板211之间的接触时间)。例如,链板219的预热的密封边缘229可将热能传递到其接合的尾部区段73的下表面,同时热板211将热能传递到相应尾部区段73的上表面以形成密封69。在一个实施例中,减少的停留时间可允许热板211的总长度减小和/或包装输送机203的速度增大和/或可帮助减少尾部区段73的较薄部分的过热。在一个示例性实施例中,被配置有四个热板211的系统200可被重新配置为包括预热板241和仅三个热板211(图8和图10),这些热板可由如以上所论述的附加刷239代替。替代地,系统200可配置有四个热板211(图7)和预热板241。在所示出的实施例中,凸耳带215可在上游引导轮243上从预热板241向上地运载推杆凸耳219和链板219(图8以及图10至图11B)。在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,预热板241可被省略,或者可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置。
在操作中,包装进给器201可从系统100或从另一个来源接收端部敞开的包装160(例如,带有所形成的增强套筒5和所附接的端部敞开的管部分147),并且可在包装输送机203(例如,图6至图8、图11A和图11B)的上游端处将端部敞开的包装160进给到凸耳带215上。在一个实施例中,凸耳带215可在包装输送机203的返回侧上(例如,在包装输送机203的下侧上)沿返回方向R上移动一对推杆凸耳217和相关联的链板219,使得链板的至少密封边缘229接合预热板241(图15)并沿着预热板241的上表面242移动以加热链板219的至少一部分。如图10至图11B所示,凸耳带215可使推杆凸耳217对和相关联的链板219在上游引导轮243处向上地移动,同时从包装进给器201(图6至图8)进给的端部敞开的包装160可定位在位于推进凸耳217对和相关联的预热链板219(图10和图11A)下游的凸耳带215上。当凸耳带215沿下游方向连续地移动时,设置在其上的端部敞开的包装160可接合刷237和/或刷239(图11A),这可帮助将端部敞开的包装160保持与机器方向M对准,并且可帮助防止包装与凸耳带215一起向前移动(例如,由于摩擦),直到该对推杆凸耳217和相关联的链板219赶上并接合包装(图11B)。
如图10至图13所示,链板219的接合表面227可接合套筒5的底边缘53,以将端部敞开的包装160向前推靠刷237和/或239。如图12和图13所示,当接合表面227接合底边缘53时,链板219可接合端部敞开的包装160,使得链板219的凹陷表面221接合套筒5的毗邻底边缘53的下表面,并且至少密封边缘229可接合端部敞开的管部分147的尾部区段73。除了刷237、239减慢或停止端部敞开的包装160的向前移动直到链板219接合套筒5为止之外,至少刷237可向下地推套筒5的上表面,这可有助于保持端部敞开的管部分147的尾部区段73抵靠链板219并可帮助将端部敞开的管部分147的其余部分向下地推向支撑轨道231(图13)。因此,在所示出的实施例中,尾部区段73接合链板219的倾斜表面225、上表面223和密封边缘229以升高到端部敞开的包装160的其余部分上方(图12和图13)。在凸耳带215继续使推杆凸耳217和链板219向下游移动时,推杆凸耳217和链板219可使端部敞开的包装160沿下游方向移动,同时刷237帮助保持套筒5与接合表面227接触并将端部敞开的包装160向下推。如图13所示,在端部敞开的包装160沿机器方向M移动时,它们在热板211下方通过。在一个实施例中,通过刷237向下地推压端部敞开的包装160可在端部敞开的包装160在包装输送机203上在热板211下方移动时帮助保持端部敞开的管部分147的未被密封的部分与热板211的底表面232间隔开。因此,刷237可帮助防止端部敞开的管部分147的不期望的密封。
在所示出的实施例中,热板211可定位在包装输送机203上方,使得在端部敞开的包装160通过包装输送机203(图13)沿下游方向M移动时,链板219的密封边缘229将尾部区段73的至少一部分推靠热板211的底表面232上。在示例性实施例中,链板219和热板211可被配置为挤压在它们之间的尾部区段73(例如,链板219的密封边缘229可将尾部区段73的一部分压靠热板211的底表面232上)。在一个实施例中,热板211的温度、所包括的热板211的数量以及包装输送机203的速度可根据期望的停留时间来进行协调,以在尾部区段73中在链板219的密封边缘229与热板211的底表面232之间形成密封69。在示例性实施例中,密封系统200可被配置有以约0.75秒的停留时间被加热到约365华氏度的热板。另外,在该示例中,链板219可在预热板241上被预热,该预热板可被加热到约170华氏度。因此,在所示出的实施例中,密封系统200的该示例性配置可在尾部区段73中形成密封69,该密封包括两个材料层(例如,在角撑板60之间)至四个材料层(例如,在角撑板60处)。在一个实施例中,可通过增加或减少热板211和/或预热板241、使用不同大小的热板211和/或预热板241、改变热板211和/或预热板241的温度和/或调整包装输送机203的速度来调整密封系统200的参数以影响密封69的形成。
在所示出的实施例中,在链板219将尾部区段73的部分压靠在热板211的底表面232上时,以及在包装输送机203沿机器方向M移动端部敞开的包装160时,尾部区段73的上表面沿着底表面232(图13)滑动,使得尾部区段73的上表面上的热板211的热、尾部区段73的底表面上的预热链板219的热以及在尾部区段73上在热板211与链板219之间的压力可能会导致端部敞开的管部分147的接触内表面(例如,涂覆有聚乙烯或其他合适的热封材料)软化并至少部分地熔化到熔融状态,直到尾部区段73和链板219到达最后一个热板211的端部。如图14所示,在尾部区段73经过最后一个热板211的下游端时,将尾部区段73的将包括密封69的至少密封部分SP接触夹持辊236的表面,并且链板219的密封边缘229将尾部区段73压靠夹持辊236。在一个实施例中,在链板219和尾部区段73在夹持辊236下方沿下游方向M移动时,夹持辊236旋转,并且夹持辊236的柔性覆盖物至少部分地符合尾部区段的形状以适应尾部区段的不同部分的不同厚度(例如,尾部区段73在角撑板60和接缝71处可比在其其他部分处更厚)。因此,夹持辊236可在尾部区段73的整个宽度或基本上整个宽度上抵靠链板219施加密封夹持压力,以致使尾部区段73的软化和/或熔化的涂覆的内表面至少部分地熔合在一起以形成密封69。
在一个实施例中,通过将尾部区段73的密封部分的内表面至少部分地熔合以形成密封69,端部敞开的管部分147被形成为具有封闭端9(图1、图3、图4和图10)的袋3,并且在推杆凸耳217和链板219在两个下游引导轮247(图7、图8、图10和图14)上被向下地运载以在包装输送机203的下侧上返回到包装输送机203的上游端时,所得的增强包装1被输出到输出输送机245(图6和图8)上。在一个实施例中,输出输送机245可运输增强包装1以用于收集、进一步处理或加工、存储和/或装运到顾客。
如图8所示,枢轴框架213可在铰接部233处枢转到打开位置,以允许对密封系统200进行重新装备或其他调整。例如,密封系统200可修改以改变推杆凸耳217和链板219的数量和/或间距,以改变热板211和/或刷237、239的数量和/或大小,和/或在枢轴框架213在打开位置时改变其他特征。在一个实施例中,枢轴框架213的打开位置可通过提供对热板组件205和包装输送机203的接近(由于该热板组件和该包装输送机在枢轴框架213与基座框架206之间的位置,在枢轴框架213的关闭位置,该热板组件和该包装输送机不太能被接近)来帮助使对密封系统的调整更容易。在所示出的实施例中,枢转框架213可在铰接部233处枢转以关闭密封系统200并准备系统来进行操作。如图13所示,在枢轴框架213移动到关闭位置时,热板211朝向包装输送机203移动,使得热板211的底表面232接合链板219的至少密封表面229,使得在如上所述的密封系统200的操作期间,端部敞开的管部分147的尾部区段73的一些部分被按压在底表面232与相应链板219之间。
在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,密封系统可以其他方式布置、成形、定位或配置,并且在不脱离本公开的范围的情况下,增强包装1可以其他方式形成。例如,在替代实施例中,密封系统200可结合到系统100中(例如,在切割组件151之前)。
一般来讲,如本文所描述,袋可由纸原料形成,但各种塑料或其他袋材料也可使用,并且可使其衬有或覆置期望的材料。本文中描述的增强套筒可由更刚性材料诸如涂覆粘土的天然牛皮纸(“CCNK”)制成。其他材料,诸如各种卡片纸料、纸、塑料或其他合成或天然材料,也可用来形成本文中描述的包装的部件。
一般来讲,本公开的坯件可由具有厚度的纸板构造,使得其比普通纸更重且更具刚性。坯件还可由诸如纸板的其他材料构造,或可由具有适于使得纸箱能够至少大致如上所述那样起作用的性质的任何其他材料构造。坯件可涂覆有例如粘土涂层。粘土涂层然后可以被印上产品、广告和其他信息或图像。坯件然后可以被涂覆清漆,以保护印在坯件上的信息。坯件还可在坯件的任一侧或两侧上被涂覆有例如防潮层。坯件还可在选定面板或面板区段处层压到或涂覆有一种或多种片状材料。
作为示例,撕裂线可包括:狭缝,其沿着期望的弱化线部分地延伸到材料中;和/或一系列间隔开的狭缝,其沿着期望的弱化线部分地延伸到材料中和/或完全地延伸穿过材料;或者或这些特征的各种组合。作为更具体的示例,一种类型撕裂线为完全地延伸穿过材料的一系列间隔开的狭缝的形式,其中相邻狭缝略微地间隔开,使得刻痕(例如,一小块轻微桥接状材料)限定在相邻狭缝之间以便典型地暂时连接撕裂线两侧的材料。在沿着撕裂线撕裂期间,刻痕断裂。刻痕典型地占撕裂线的相对小的百分比,并且替代地,刻痕可从撕裂线省略或在撕裂线中被撕裂,使得撕裂线是连续切割线。即,用连续狭缝等替代撕裂线中的每条撕裂线也在本公开的范围内。例如,在不脱离本公开的情况下,切割线可为连续狭缝,或者可比狭缝宽。
根据示例性实施例,折叠线可为任何基本上线性但不一定笔直的弱化形式,其便于沿自身折叠。更具体地,但并非出于缩小本公开的范围的目的,折叠线包括:刻痕线,例如用钝刻痕刀形成的线或类似的线,其沿着期望的弱化线在材料中产生压碎或凹入的部分;切口,其沿着期望的弱化线部分地延伸到材料中;和/或一系列切口,其沿着期望的弱化线延伸到材料中和/或完全地延伸穿过材料;以及这些特征的各种组合。在使用切割来形成折叠线的情况下,典型地,切割将不以可能导致理性的用户错误地将折叠线视为撕裂线的方式过于宽泛。
可将上述实施例描述为在构建纸箱实施例期间通过胶将一个或多个面板粘在一起。术语“胶”旨在涵盖通常用来将纸箱面板固定到位的所有方式的粘合剂。

Claims (30)

1.一种密封增强包装的方法,所述方法包括:
在包装输送机上沿下游方向移动端部敞开的包装,所述端部敞开的包装包括附接到端部敞开的管部分的增强套筒,使得所述端部敞开的管部分的尾部区段从所述增强套筒的边缘延伸,所述端部敞开的套筒被取向为使得所述尾部区段设置在所述增强套筒上游,移动端部敞开的包装包括将所述端部敞开的包装与所述包装输送机的沿所述下游方向移动的链板接合;
通过将所述端部敞开的管部分的尾部区段的至少密封部分接合在包装输送机的链板与毗邻包装输送机定位的热板之间来形成具有封闭端的袋,所述链板与所述尾部区段一起相对于所述热板沿所述下游方向移动,形成所述袋包括在将所述尾部区段的至少所述密封部分接合在所述链板与所述热板之间期间将热能从至少所述热板传递到所述尾部区段以沿着所述尾部区段中的密封部分至少部分地形成密封来至少部分地形成所述袋的所述封闭端。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述链板包括凹陷表面,所述凹陷表面至少部分地接合所述增强套筒。
3.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中所述链板包括密封边缘,所述密封边缘至少部分地接合所述尾部区段的密封部分,所述密封边缘与所述凹陷表面向上地间隔开,使得所述尾部区段的至少所述密封部分相对于所述凹陷表面升高,将至少所述密封部分接合在所述链板与所述热板之间包括将所述尾部区段的至少所述密封部分接合在所述密封边缘与所述热板的底表面之间。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,所述方法还包括通过将保持设备与所述端部敞开的包装接合来保持所述端部敞开的包装与所述链板接合。
5.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中所述保持设备向下地按压在所述增强套筒的至少一部分上,使得至少所述增强套筒与所述热板向下地间隔开。
6.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中所述保持设备至少包括刷,所述刷在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时拖拽至少所述增强套筒以至少部分地保持所述端部敞开的包装与所述链板接合。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述包装输送机包括两个间隔开的凸耳带,凸耳从所述凸耳带中的每个凸耳带延伸,并且所述链板安装到所述凸耳,使得所述链板在所述凸耳带之间延伸。
8.如权利要求7所述的方法,其中所述端部敞开的包装的所述尾部区段在所述凸耳之间接合所述链板,所述增强套筒的一些部分在所述凸耳下游在所述凸耳带上方延伸,并且在所述包装输送机上沿下游方向移动端部敞开的包装包括在所述链板经由所述凸耳由所述凸耳带沿所述下游方向移动时将所述增强套筒的边缘与所述链板的接合表面接合。
9.如权利要求8所述的方法,所述方法还包括用保持设备保持所述增强套筒的边缘与所述链板的接合表面接合。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述保持设备至少包括刷,所述刷沿着所述下游方向安装,保持所述增强套筒的边缘与所述链板的接合表面接合包括将所述增强套筒与所述刷接合,使得所述刷在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时拖拽所述增强套筒。
11.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述尾部区段的密封部分沿着与所述凸耳带向上地间隔开的密封边缘接合所述链板,并且保持所述增强套筒的边缘与所述链板的接合表面接合包括用所述保持设备向下地按压在所述增强套筒上以使所述增强套筒压靠所述凸耳带,使得所述尾部区段的密封部分与所述增强套筒向上地间隔开。
12.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述热板是沿着机器方向安装在所述包装输送机上方的多个热板中的一个热板,并且所述将尾部区段的至少所述密封部分接合在所述链板与所述热板之间包括在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时将至少所述密封部分接合在所述链板与所述多个热板中的每个热板之间。
13.如权利要求1所述的方法,所述方法还包括在将所述端部敞开的包装与所述链板接合之前通过将所述链板与在所述包装输送机的上游端处的预热板接合来预热所述链板。
14.如权利要求1所述的方法,所述方法还包括将所述尾部区段的至少所述密封部分夹在所述链板与夹持辊之间,所述夹持辊定位在所述热板下游。
15.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述包装输送机安装到基座框架并且所述热板安装到枢轴框架,并且所述枢轴框架在至少铰接部处安装到所述基座框架,所述铰接部用于使所述枢轴框架枢转远离所述包装输送机。
16.一种用于密封增强包装的系统,所述系统包括:
包装输送机,所述包装输送机包括沿下游方向移动的链板,所述链板接合由所述包装输送机接收的端部敞开的包装并沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装,所述端部敞开的包装包括附接到端部敞开的管部分的增强套筒,使得所述端部敞开的管部分的尾部区段从所述增强套筒的边缘延伸;以及
热板组件,所述热板组件包括毗邻所述包装输送机的至少一部分定位的热板,使得当所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时,所述端部敞开的管部分的所述尾部区段的至少密封部分接合在所述链板与所述热板之间,其中所述热板至少部分地被加热以便将热能传递到所述尾部区段以在所述尾部区段中至少部分地形成密封。
17.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述链板包括凹陷表面,所述凹陷表面至少部分地接合所述增强套筒。
18.如权利要求17所述的系统,其中所述链板包括密封边缘,所述密封边缘至少部分地接合所述尾部区段的所述密封部分,所述密封边缘与所述凹陷表面向上地间隔开,使得所述尾部区段的至少所述密封部分相对于所述凹陷表面升高,并且在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时,所述尾部区段的所述密封部分接合在所述密封边缘与所述热板的底表面之间。
19.如权利要求16所述的系统,所述系统还包括保持设备,所述保持设备接合所述端部敞开的包装以至少部分地保持所述端部敞开的包装与所述链板接合。
20.如权利要求19所述的系统,其中所述保持设备向下地按压在所述增强套筒的至少一部分上,使得至少所述增强套筒与所述热板向下地间隔开。
21.如权利要求19所述的系统,其中所述保持设备至少包括刷,所述刷在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时拖拽至少所述增强套筒以至少部分地保持所述端部敞开的包装与所述链板接合。
22.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述包装输送机包括两个间隔开的凸耳带,凸耳从所述凸耳带中的每个凸耳带延伸,并且所述链板安装到所述凸耳,使得所述链板在所述凸耳带之间延伸。
23.如权利要求22所述的系统,其中所述端部敞开的包装的所述尾部区段在所述凸耳之间接合所述链板,所述增强套筒的一些部分在所述凸耳下游在所述凸耳带上方延伸,并且在所述链板经由所述凸耳由所述凸耳带沿所述下游方向移动时,所述增强套筒的边缘接合所述链板的接合表面。
24.如权利要求23所述的系统,所述系统还包括保持设备,所述保持设备保持所述增强套筒的边缘与所述链板的接合表面接合。
25.如权利要求24所述的系统,其中所述保持设备至少包括刷,所述刷沿着所述下游方向安装,所述刷接合所述增强套筒并在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时拖拽所述增强套筒。
26.如权利要求24所述的系统,其中所述链板的密封边缘接合所述尾部区段的所述密封部分,所述密封边缘与所述凸耳带向上地间隔开,并且所述保持设备向下地按压在所述增强套筒上使所述增强套筒压靠所述凸耳带,使得所述尾部区段的密封部分与所述增强套筒向上地间隔开。
27.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述热板是沿着机器方向安装在所述包装输送机上方的多个热板中的一个热板,并且在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时,所述密封部分接合在所述链板与所述多个热板中的每个热板之间。
28.如权利要求16所述的系统,所述系统还包括在所述包装输送机的上游端处的预热板,所述预热板被定位成接合所述链板以预热所述链板。
29.如权利要求16所述的系统,所述系统还包括夹持辊,所述夹持辊定位在所述热板下游,以便在所述包装输送机沿所述下游方向移动所述端部敞开的包装时在所述尾部区段与所述链板接合的情况下接合所述尾部区段的至少一部分,以将所述尾部区段的至少所述密封部分夹在所述夹持辊与所述链板之间。
30.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述包装输送机安装到基座框架并且所述热板安装到枢轴框架,并且所述枢轴框架在至少铰接部处安装到所述基座框架,使得所述枢轴框架可枢转远离所述包装输送机。
