本发明涉及一种切削刀片和铣刀。
在具有用防磨损硬质材料制成的可转位切削刀片的金属切削刀具中,刀刃受磨损,有时部分或整个刀刃断裂。如小刀片发生断裂,只有刀刃断裂,刀身不会损坏。如大刀片发生断裂,刀身损坏的可能性就大大提高。如切削刀片不座落在一垫片上,刀片的断裂常常会造成刀身的损坏。为了避免损坏刀身,切削刀片通常座落在一硬质合金垫片上。切削刀片与垫片的通常组合为切削刀片厚5mm,垫片厚3-5mm,因此切削刀片与垫片总厚8-10mm。

图1A示出本发明一铣刀30,包括一刀架31和切削刀片10。刀架31为一铣刀刀身,其上有若干供切削刀片嵌入的凹座32。每一凹座32包括一平直底面40和两肩、一轴线42和一径向肩43(图1C)。两肩互相垂直。每一肩包括用来抵靠刀片10的对应第一部分13a的第一表面。凹座32旁有一螺纹孔,因此紧固螺丝33可旋入其中而用螺丝头径向外部把刀片压紧在各肩和底面上。刀片要转位时旋松螺丝33,直到可用手沿径向向外拉出切削刀片,然后逆时针转动刀片45°而使一新的副刀刃16E就位。然后把刀片推入凹座中重新上紧螺丝。刃16D最好为被动刃,不参与铣削。刀片10在刀架中的定位角Q约为43°,从而刀片10的副刀刃16E的后角约为2°。
图2A-2D所示切削刀片10呈八边形,包括一顶面11、一底面12和连接顶面11与底面12的刀刃面13。该切削刀片10呈正几何形状,即,刀刃面的顶部13a界定一后刀面并与顶面11成锐角,顶面11为前刀面。顶面11在刀片10的周边处有一断屑面14。顶面11还包括从断屑面14向里、向下倾斜的切屑面15。这两个表面构成顶面11的最外周部分。断屑面14与刀刃面13的交线构成由八条刀刃16A-16H界定的总刀刃16。切屑面15呈下凹弧形,从断屑面的一过渡刃26向里伸展。各切屑面15的交界处形成一凸脊用来加固转角34并在转角34处生成切屑。切屑面15中有多个凸起或最好是凹陷25,这些凸起或凹陷25沿过渡刃26相间距。这些凹陷25最好与过渡刃26相交,在所述刀片俯视图中以与对应刀刃16不垂直方向向里伸展。从而每一凹陷25在该俯视图中与对应后刀面13的法线相交成15°-40°角。这一设计的作用是尽可能减少切屑向刀片的传热。
两两相邻的刀刃16相遇而形成一转角34,其内部钝角约为135°。每一刀刃在仰视图中与垫片22的相邻第二部分13b平行。每一刀刃在侧视图中呈下凹弧形,从而其中部比其端部更靠近底面12。
刀刃面13包括八段。刀刃面13的每一段的顶部13a与一与刀片中心轴线20平行的平面P形成一后角α(图2B)。后角α至少为20°,最好至少为25°。在直径方向上两相对主刀刃16C与16G之间的距离在图2A中用L1表示。在直径方向上两两相对的主刀刃之间的距离L1都相同。
8个刀刃面13向底面12倾斜而在底面12下方与切削刀片10的中心线20相交。
每一段刀刃面13有一形成一台阶18的向里和面向下的肩部。该段刀刃面位于台阶18上方的顶部或第一部分13a呈正几何形状而形成所需后角。该段刀刃面的底部或第二部分13b形成一与刀片顶部制成一体的垫片22的周边。垫片22形成该刀片的底面。每一段的第二部分13b呈负几何形状,即第二部分13b与底面12垂直,从而不形成后角。第二部分13b位于对应第一部分一假想延长线的径向内部。即,如果后刀面研磨,该刀刃面无需研磨,从而节省能源。此外,台阶18在径向上足够大,有利于控制铣削时生成的裂缝。从而台阶18形成一尖内角19,该尖内角在切削刀片发生断裂时构成断裂释放区,从而控制断裂而不损坏切削刀片的底部。″尖″一词的意思是,该角的曲率半径做成0-0.3mm、最好约为0.2mm,从而故意削弱该角。从而保护底部或第二部分13b不受损坏。
