Abstract

一种数据记录方法，对以数据块为单元被记录的文件进行误差校正码(ECC)编码和调制，并且在DVD-RAM中记录被编码和调制的数据。当被记录的文件的尺寸不是数据块的整数倍时附加伪数据以形成一最后数据块，并且随后该最后数据块被进行ECC编码和调制以记录在DVD-RAM中。在未记录数据的DVD-RAM的记录区域中执行数据记录，并且当前面所记录文件的最后数据包括有伪数据时从紧接该最后数据的一记录区域开始记录数据。

数字通用盘随机存取存贮器 的高速数据记录方法
技术领域
本发明涉及用来在一数字通用盘(DVD)上记录数据的方法，特别涉及用于数字通用盘随机存取存贮器(DVD-RAM)的高速数据记录方法。
背景技术
DVD的一种最新形式是DVD-RAM，在DVD-RAM中数据可自由地记录和删除。由于DVD-RAM具有记录大量数据的记录容量，所以它需要高速数据记录时间。
图1示出了一种用来在DVD-RAM中记录数据的数据扇区的结构。该数据扇区具有2064字节的尺寸，该扇区由12行所构成，每一行具有172字节。该数据扇区中的每一行包括有记录信息的主数据。该数据扇区的第一行的开始部分包括有识别(ID)、识别误差校正码(IEC)、和保留(RSV)数据，而在最后行的第12行中的结束部分包括有4字节的误差检测码(EDC)。在第一行中的4字节ID数据包括有一扇区号和扇区信息，2字节IEC包括有一对应于该ID数居的误差校正码，和6字节RSV包括有其它数据。为了说明方便起见，将16个如图1所示的数据扇区称为一数据块。
图2的框图示出了在DVD-RAM中记录数据的一现行系统。图2的计算机系统100向DVD-RAM驱动装置200提供将要被记录的以数据块为单元的文件的数据。DVD-RAM驱动装置200对自计算机系统100所提供的各数据块进行误差校正码(ECC)编码。这里，当将要被记录的文件的尺寸不是一数据块的一整数倍的情况下，计算机系统100向DVD-RAM驱动装置200提供以数据块为单元的文件的数据，并且为了形成一最后数据块将伪(dummy)数据加到该文件的最后数据。随后该DVD-RAM驱动装置200对自计算机系统100所提供的最后数据块进行ECC编码。该伪数据由在一最后数据块中所填充的无意义数据所组成。该DVD-RAM驱动装置200对由ECC编码所产生的ECC块进行调制，产生16个物理扇区，并且以16个物理扇区为记录单元在DVD-RAM300中记录数据。为了说明方便起见，这16个物理扇区称之为一物理数据块。
当在该DVD-RAM300上记录一新的文件时，该DVD-RAM驱动装置200从DVD-RAM300中读取前面所记录文件的最后物理数据块，并将读取的物理数据块恢复成一数据块。然后，该DVD-RAM驱动装置200用该新文件的主数据来替换在该被恢复的数据块中的伪数据、并进行ECC编码和调制包括该被替换数据块的新文件的数据块，且将ECC编码和调制的数据块记录在DVD-RAM300中。从最后物理数据块被记录的部分开始数据块的记录。
如上所述，每当记录一文件时，根据常规数据记录方法该DVD-RAM驱动装置200总是要恢复在该DVD-RAM300上最后所记录的文件的一最终部分的数据，并且与将要被记录的一文件的数据一起产生一数据块，因而导致数据记录时间的增加。
发明内容
为了解决上述问题，本发明的一个目的是提供一种可以减少数据记录时间的在一DVD-RAM上记录数据的方法，这种方法无须除去前面所记录的伪数据就可在该DVD-RAM中记录新数据。
为了实现本发明的上述目的，所提供的用来在一数字通用盘随机存取存贮器DVD-RAM中记录数据的方法包括有：
(a)对以一数据块为单元的将要被记录的一文件进行误差校正码(ECC)编码和调制；和(b)在未记录有数据的DVD-RAM的记录区域中记录在步骤(a)中的被ECC编码和调制的数据块，
其中，在步骤(a)中，当将要被记录的文件的尺寸不是一数据块的一整数倍时，附加伪数据以形成一最后数据块，并且随后该最后数据块被进行ECC编码和调制；和
其中，在步骤(b)中，当前面所记录文件的最后数据中包括有伪数据时从紧接着最后数据的一记录区域开始记录数据。

具体实施方式
现在结合图3详细说明本发明的一最佳实施例，图3是用来说明根据本发明的一最佳实施例的用来在DVD-RAM中记录数据的方法的示图。根据本发明的用来在DVD-RAM中记录数据的方法对将要被记录的以数据块为单元的文件的数据进行ECC编码。当被记录的一文件的尺寸不是一数据块的整数倍时附加伪数据以形成一最后数据块，并且对该最后数据块进行ECC编码。然后，被ECC编码的数据块的每一ECC块被调制以产生物理扇区。用于本发明的一数据块的结构与在现行方法中所使用的数据块的结构是相同时，并且一个ECC块对应于包括有16个物理扇区的物理数据块400或500。本发明将要被记录的以物理数据块为单元的文件的数据记录在DVD-RAM中，当一新文件被记录在DVD-RAM300中时，在前面所记录文件的最后物理数据块400包括有伪数据的情况中，数据被记录在未记录有数据的、紧接最后物理数据块400并离开已被记录有最后物理数据块400的记录区域500中。
如上所述，根据本发明的用来在DVD-RAM300中记录数据的该数据记录方法不需要将前面所记录的最后物理数据块400恢复为一数据块，因而可减少数据记录时间。
虽然这里仅具体说明了本发明的某些实施例，但是在不违背本发明的精神和范围的情况下显然可对本发明作出若干修改。

Claims (2)

1.一种用来在一数字通用盘随机存取存贮器中记录数据的方法，包括有：
(a)将要被记录的以数据块为单元的文件进行误差校正码编码和调制；和
(b)在未记录数据的数字通用盘随机存取存贮器的一记录区域中记录在步骤(a)中已进行误差校正码编码和调制的数据块；
其中，在步骤(a)中，当将要被记录的所述文件的尺寸不是一数据块的一整数倍时附加伪数据以形成一最后数据块，并且随后该最后数据块被进行误差校正码编码和调制。
2.如权利要求1所述的记录数据的方法，其中在步骤(b)中，当在该数字通用盘随机存取存贮器中所记录的所述文件的最后数据包括伪数据时从紧接着该最后数据的记录区域开始记录数据。
