Abstract
The invention belongs to the field of daily chemicals, and particularly relates to an anti-dropping and anti-breaking eyelash care composition. The composition of the invention comprises the following components in percentage by weight: (A) comprises 0.0001-10 wt% of red clover flower extract; (B) acetyl tetrapeptide-3 in an amount of 0.001% to 10% of the composition; (C) eyelash conditioner in 0.1-15 wt% of the composition, which is composed of glucan in 0.5-8 wt%, butanediol humectant in 0.3-10 wt% and panthenol in 0.1-3.5 wt%; (D) and the balance of deionized water. The eyelash care composition of the present invention contains 0.0001% to 10% of red clover flower extract, preferably 0.1% to 5% by weight of the composition. Trifolium pratense is a perennial herb of Leguminosae, also known as red clover, clover and the like. Native to Europe and Western Asia, widely distributed all over the world at present, and cultivated in the south and north of China, wherein the plants are distributed in temperate zones. The red clover flower contains flavonoid, protein, amino acid, saccharide, vitamin, etc. The red clover is the only phytoestrogen, and can be distributed in each cell of the human body to play a role, which cannot be reached by the hormone of the human body. the purpose of this experiment was to evaluate the efficacy of eyelash care compositions versus placebo under normal use conditions. A group of 17 subjects was selected, with an average age of 25-68 years. The group of subjects applied eyelash care composition and placebo to randomly designed upper and lower eyelashes along the upper and lower eyelashes where the eyelashes contacted the skin, using eyelash care composition and placebo, respectively. At weeks 0, 4 and 8, photographs of the upper eyelashes were taken with a camera fixed on a biomicroscope. Then the number of new long eyelashes is calculated according to the shape and the characteristics of the young eyelashes. New eyelashes are significantly increased by 45.5% after use of the test care solution compared to placebo. Refer to FIGS. 4, 5, and 6
3. Evaluation of eyelash length:
at weeks 0, 4 and 8, photographs of the upper ciliary margin were taken with a digital camera, and the average value (mm) of the length of eyelash was measured, and the length of eyelash was significantly increased after 4 and 8 weeks of treatment with the test treatment solution. After 4 weeks of treatment, a growth of 0.70 mm was measured. Eyelash length changes increased 3-fold and 5-fold, respectively, after applying eyelash treatment solution (4 weeks and 8 weeks, respectively) compared to placebo. After 8 weeks, lash length improved in 73% of subjects. Refer to fig. 7 and 8.

Claims (6)
1. A drop and break resistant eyelash care composition comprising:
(A) 0.0001% to 10% by weight of the composition of red clover flower extract;
(B) acetyl tetrapeptide-3 in an amount of 0.001 to 10% by weight of the composition;
(C) eyelash conditioning agent 0.1-15 wt% of the composition, wherein the conditioning agent is composed of dextran 0.5-8 wt% of the composition, butanediol humectant 0.3-10 wt% of the composition, and panthenol 0.1-3.5 wt% of the composition;
(D) and the balance of deionized water.
2. The drop and break preventing mascara care composition according to claim 1, wherein the red clover extract is from 0.01% to 8% by weight of the composition.

4. The drop and break preventing mascara care composition according to claim 1, wherein the acetyl tetrapeptide-3 is from 0.01% to 3% by weight of the composition.

A drop and break resistant mascara care composition according to claim 1, wherein the conditioning agent is comprised of dextran from 0.5 to 5% by weight of the composition, butylene glycol humectant from 0.5 to 5% by weight of the composition, and panthenol from 0.1 to 2% by weight of the composition.
