Description

Cosmetic composition with effects of preventing and relieving scalp inflammation and preventing alopecia
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition having effects of preventing and alleviating scalp inflammation and preventing alopecia.
Background
With advanced modern medicine, medical techniques have been developed for the relief and treatment of a large number of various life-threatening diseases. However, in terms of social development, aesthetic aspects are considered to be quite important, and thus alopecia has become a social problem.
Generally, human hair, which is about 100,000 to 150,000 in number, has various growth cycles and is generally grown or dropped in three stages, a growth phase, a withdrawal phase and a resting phase. Generally, alopecia refers to an increase in the number of abnormally shed hairs due to a decrease in the rate of hair growth in the anagen phase, and an increase in the number of hairs in the catagen and telogen phases.
It is known in the art that causes of hair loss may include different influencing factors, such as age, season, race, physiological factors and disease and causes including: 1) androgenic hyperactivity, 2) hyperseborrhea, 3) poor blood circulation, 4) deterioration of scalp function by peroxides and bacteria, 5) genetic factors, 6) aging, 7) stress, and the like, as has been discussed.
It is well known that scalp disorders such as dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis are accompanied by typical early symptoms in the early stages of alopecia. Specifically, scalp inflammation is known to be caused by: physical factors, for example, including skin allergy to various pollutants or bacteria, excessive sebum production due to endocrine system dysfunction, familial autonomic dysfunction (dysautonomia), or circulatory system dysfunction (e.g., blood circulation disorder, hair follicle insufficiency, allergy, bacterial infection, etc.); genetic factors, such as hormonal effects; environmental factors, for example, including various pollutions, processed foods as mainstream foods, shampoos, soaps, mousses, hair sprays, hair setting agents, permanent waves, hair dyes, hair dryers, detergents, and the like; as well as psychological and/or social factors, and the aging of modern people who often suffer from excessive stress, all of which may be influenced in combination.
For the above reasons, patients suffering from alopecia are rapidly increasing, and the need for preventing alopecia and hair growth is increasing.
However, there are various products for preventing alopecia including active ingredients for promoting blood circulation, enhancing hair root action, scalp moisturizing action, dandruff removing action, antioxidant action, growth period prolonging action, androgen suppressing action, etc. However, the existing preparations rarely prove to have significant effects in terms of efficacy, and occasionally cause side effects.
Therefore, an anti-alopecia agent using a natural extract with less side effects has been developed.
As a prior art relating to such an agent for preventing hair loss using natural extracts, korean patent registration No. 10-1780692 (patent document 1) is exemplified. The patent relates to a composition for preventing hair loss or promoting hair growth, which includes a mixed extract of green tea and emblic leafflower fruit (currant), or a mixed extract of Houttuynia cordata (Houttuynia cordita), green tea and hibiscus syriacus (hibiscus) as an effective ingredient, and discloses a natural complex extract. However, the extract is significantly different from the natural material of the present invention in terms of the effective ingredient.

The extract of the root of Potentilla anserina is an excellent anti-inflammatory and moisturizing ingredient, and it can suppress hypersecretion of sebum, suppress hyperkeratosis, and enhance skin moisturizing effect.
The vacuolar root extract can be included in an amount of 0.01 wt.% to 20 wt.%, more preferably 0.1 wt.% to 10 wt.%, based on the total weight of the composition.
When the content of the extract of the root of kombu is less than 0.01 wt.%, the efficacy and effect may not be significant, and when the content thereof exceeds 20 wt.%, the stability and storage stability of the formulation may be problematic.
In order to further improve the effect of the anti-hair loss agent composition on alleviating scalp inflammation, the composition may further comprise one or more additional extracts selected from the group consisting of: purslane extract, millet extract, propolis extract, loquat leaf extract, mulberry bark extract, perennial artemisia leaf extract, turmeric extract and acanthopanax fruit extract.
The aforementioned purslane has leaves having a shape similar to that of purslane, and has a meaning that field weeds eat amaranth, in other words, it is called "purslane (purslane)". It is known that purslane often contains omega-3 fatty acids, an unsaturated fatty acid. The purslane extract has excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
The above-mentioned millet extract is an annual plant belonging to the family oryziaceae (paddy family), and has been grown in china, korea, manchuria, and the like since ancient times. In particular, in korea, this plant is planted in the former, northwest of the celebration, southwest of the whole ro, and the juzhou island. According to the record of "Bonchogangmok" in korean ancient plant list, "waxy foxtail (glutinus millet) can cure or control lung diseases". In addition, the millet extract has excellent anti-inflammatory effect. While there is no particular limitation on the seeds or regions of the millet extract, SAMDA waxy millet (SAMDACHAL) of jizhou island (as a native region) may be more effectively used.
The propolis has high content of organic substances and minerals. In particular, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, fats, organic acids, flavonoids (flavanoids), etc. play an important role in cell metabolism, terpenes, etc. have anticancer activity, and flavonoids contribute to health promotion. Propolis has antiinflammatory, antioxidant and immunity enhancing effects.
The above loquat is planted in korea (ju, islands, south coast) as well as japan and china, and is known to contain tannin, thus exhibiting antioxidant and anticancer effects. Specifically, loquat leaves contain a large amount of tannin and amygdaline (amygdaline) components, and thus exhibit high bactericidal reaction and excellent anti-inflammatory efficacy, and are effective in improving miliaria, eczema, skin inflammation, and the like.
The above-mentioned mulberry bark is the bark of mulberry tree, contains ascorbic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, hydroquinone, glutathione, etc. and thus inhibits tyrosinase activity which promotes melanin activity, and thus exhibits excellent whitening efficacy. In addition, the mulberry bark can help the scalp to calm and promote hair growth due to excellent antibacterial, moisturizing, antiallergic, and antioxidant effects.
The above perennial artemisia leaf extract contains proteins, lipids, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins, essential oil components (such as camphor, coumarin, chromone, flavonoid, caffeic acid, etc.), and may have antioxidant activity and medical efficacy in improving allergic dermatitis and atopy allergy.
The turmeric is an annual plant belonging to the family zingiberaceae (ginger family), and is mainly grown in tropical and subtropical areas centered on india. Taking korea as an example, turmeric is currently planted in zhendao and hainan, fugan in north, the inception of the kyonggi tract, the Qingyang in south, and the like.
The acanthopanax (Eleutherococcus (E.) gracilistylus) mentioned above is an Araliaceae (Araliaceae) plant with jizhou island as a native area. Since korean era, acanthopanax senticosus (Acathopanax) has been used for medical purposes, the shells of roots, stems and branches thereof are called Ogapi (bark), and the leaves are called ogayeob (leaves). According to the korean ancient medical literature 'Dongwuibogam', this plant can enhance the resistance of human body to biological stress (biological adversity), and especially the above-mentioned extract of fruit of acanthopanax (e.g. acanthopanax) has good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
The content of at least one additional extract selected from the above-mentioned purslane extract, millet extract, propolis extract, loquat leaf extract, mulberry bark extract, perennial artemisia leaf extract, turmeric extract and acanthopanax fruit extract may be 0.01 to 20 wt.%, more preferably 0.1 to 10 wt.%, based on the total weight of the composition. When the content of the additional extract is less than 0.01 wt.%, the efficacy and effect may be insignificant, and when it exceeds 20 wt.%, the stability and storage stability of the formulation may be problematic.
In view of the above results, the anti-hair loss agent composition according to the present invention may not only have excellent efficacy as an anti-hair loss agent, but also protect, alleviate and/or prevent scalp diseases such as scalp inflammation. Therefore, it is apparent that accelerated hair loss due to the above-mentioned reasons may be reduced or improved.
In addition, the hair loss preventive composition can be formulated into cream, lotion, essence, serum, toner, tonic, mist, etc., and can be used for cosmetic purposes by applying the composition to the scalp to obtain a healthier scalp, particularly for the purpose of protecting, alleviating and/or preventing scalp disorders.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be further described by way of preparation examples and experimental examples. These examples are intended to further illustrate the invention and the scope of the invention should not be limited to these examples.
Preparation of examples 1 to 7 and comparative examples 1 to 2
Purified water, glycerin, butylene glycol, 1, 2-hexanediol, disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) were dissolved and heated to about 70 ℃ according to the composition ratios in preparation examples 1-7 and comparative examples 1-2 in the following table 1 to prepare a solution 1. Further, caprylic/capric triglyceride, triisocaprylic glyceride (triethylhexanoin), cetearyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane (cyclopentisilaxane), palmitic acid, stearic acid, and cyclohexasiloxane (cyclohexasiloxane) are mixed with a surfactant (e.g., polysorbate 60, PEG-100 stearate, glyceryl stearate, and sorbitan stearate), and then the mixture is heated to about 70 ℃ to be dissolved, to prepare a solution 2. The prepared solution 2 was added to the solution 1, mixed, emulsified and cooled. Then, component 3 was added to the above mixture and uniformly mixed to prepare an alopecia preventing composition having an effect of alleviating scalp inflammation.

[ Table 3]
Figure BDA0002388844870000081
As shown in table 3 above, it can be seen that the number of hair drops is significantly reduced in examples 1 to 7 using the anti-hair loss agent composition capable of protecting, alleviating and/or preventing scalp inflammation according to the present invention, as compared to those in comparative examples 1 to 2.
<Measurement of Hair thickness (Hair diameter, nm)>
Hair thickness is measured by hair photography (phototrichogram), and the measuring instrument used herein is follistate 4.0(Lead M, korea), which is an instrument for analyzing hair characteristics based on photographs taken using a high-resolution digital sketch camera. The test site was measured with a measuring instrument.
The measurement is carried out in a predetermined area (1 cm)2) And the average of the thickness of 5 hairs in the area was used as evaluation data. The evaluation results are shown in table 4 and fig. 1.

<Hair Density (measurement of Hair diameter (nm))>
Hair density is measured by hair photography (phototrichogram), and the measuring instrument used herein is Folliscope 4.0(Lead M, korea), which is an instrument that analyzes hair characteristics based on photographs taken using a high-resolution digital sketch camera. The test site was measured with a measuring instrument.
The measurement method is carried out in a predetermined area (1 cm)2) And using the number of hairs in the area as evaluation data. The evaluation results are shown in the following Table 5.
[ Table 5]
Figure BDA0002388844870000092
As shown in table 5 above, it can be seen that the hair density is significantly increased in examples 1 to 7 using the anti-hair loss agent composition capable of protecting, alleviating and preventing scalp inflammation according to the present invention, as compared to those in comparative examples 1 to 2. In comparative examples 1-2, the hair density did not change before and after 6 months of use, while examples 1-7 showed an increase in hair density to 101-122% from its initial value.
Experimental example 2
The hair loss preventive composition having the effects of protecting, alleviating and preventing scalp inflammation prepared according to the above table 1 was applied after shampooing 9 adult male and female respectively in the morning and evening. After 6 months, the scalp sedative effect and scalp moisture content were determined by known evaluation methods.
<Measurement of scalp sedative Effect>
To determine the scalp sedation effect, scalp images taken using Folliscope were analyzed by Image-proplus. An image of a hair separation part on the scalp, which is taken before and after the anti-alopecia agent composition having an effect of alleviating scalp inflammation is used, occupies a red part, and the pixel value measurement is performed on the area occupied by the red part. As the redness of the scalp decreases, the pixel area decreases. This means that as the pixel value decreases, the scalp sedation effect increases. Therefore, the results were evaluated according to the scalp sedation criteria shown in table 6 below.
[ Table 6]
Figure BDA0002388844870000101
By observing the pixels of the red areas occupied in the scalp images listed in the above table 6, it can be seen that in each of examples 1 to 7 using the agent for hair loss prevention according to the present invention, the occupied red areas in the scalp are significantly smaller than those in comparative examples 1 and 2.
<Measurement of scalp moisture>
The moisture content of the scalp was measured using a Corneometer CM825(Courage-Khazaka electronics Co., Ltd., Germany). Three measurements were taken by the sensor through the Corneometer probe in contact with the skin, and the average was taken as the evaluation data of the moisture content of the skin.
Corneometer is a device that essentially treats the skin as a non-conductive material, using the principle: the higher the moisture content, the greater the potential for current to pass through the skin. The apparatus measures the capacitance of the probe contact site. Therefore, the moisture content is proportional to the capacitance, and it can be understood that the higher the measurement value, the higher the moisture content. The moisture content of the stratum corneum at a depth of 30-40 microns down is measured constantly in arbitrary units (A.U) with a unit constant.
[ Table 7]
Figure BDA0002388844870000102
Figure BDA0002388844870000111
In the case of human body, the rate of aging progresses is increased as the moisture content is lower. In Table 7, when each of the compositions of comparative examples 1-2 was used, the moisture content was slightly increased from before use. However, examples 1 to 7 using the anti-hair loss agent composition for alleviating scalp inflammation according to the present invention showed an increase in moisture content of the scalp of 300-650% as compared to before use.
According to the combination of the results of measurement of the alopecia prevention effect, the scalp calming effect and the scalp moisture content in experimental examples 1 and 2, the hair loss can be reduced while increasing the thickness and density of the hair using the hair loss prevention agent composition of the present invention. It is predicted that these results can be achieved by protecting, alleviating and ameliorating factors that can cause scalp inflammation (e.g., increasing the moisture content of the scalp and improving the scalp's sedative effect).
