Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a coupling device with subsequent latching.
Background
In the case of various drawers, in particular system drawers, the latching or coupling means for fixing the drawer to a pull-out guide fastened to the furniture body are parts of one or both side walls or frames of the drawer.
In wooden drawers, these coupling means are usually attached to the base or front panel of the drawer, which means extra work for the furniture manufacturer.
In contrast, under-floor pull-out guides are commonly used for system drawers having relatively narrow side walls or frames made of a metallic material (e.g., steel). The construction of the drawer is similar to that of a wooden drawer, i.e. a drawer with a narrow side frame rests on a pull-out guide with a continuous base, and there is a mounting space for the side frame between the respective pull-out guide and the furniture body.
The mounting space can be used to accommodate a latch or coupling device by which the drawer frame and thus the drawer is attached to the pull-out guide.
According to an embodiment variant of such a latch or such a coupling device as shown in fig. 12a or 12b, a latch spring 103' with a coupling device housing is fixedly fastened on the side frame 3' of the drawer 2 '. When the drawer is latched, the latch spring 103' is locked in the first locking window 9a ', which first locking window 9a ' has the running rail 7' of the pull-out guide 6 '.
Tests have shown that the second latch window 9b ' of the running rail 7' with the pull-out guide 6' does not necessarily arrive safely when re-engaged. When the drawer 2' is closed and the front panel of the drawer rests against the furniture body 1', the latching air between the latch spring 103' and the latch windows 9a ', 9b ' causes an undesirable impact noise.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to reduce said problems.
The present invention solves the problem by the subject matter described herein.
A coupling device for securing and locking a drawer to a pull-out guide is provided, wherein the drawer has at least one base, a front panel and a frame on each side of the drawer, and wherein the pull-out guide has at least one body rail and at least one running rail.
In this case, the pull-out guide is attached to the furniture body by means of a body rail and the free end of the running rail is clamped by a hook element of the coupling device, wherein the hook element is formed on a slider of the coupling device and a latching lug of a latching element, which is mounted movably on the drawer, which latching lug engages in a locking window of the running rail as the drawer is pushed onto the pull-out guide, so that the running rail is locked on the drawer by means of the combination of the hook element and the latching element.
Finally, the slide is slidably guided relative to a base element of the coupling device, wherein the base element is fixed to the frame, and the slide and the base element have complementary fixing means, so that the base element and the slide can be fixed in different positions relative to each other.
In this way, when the drawer is closed, the function of locking the running rail to the coupling means and therefore to the drawer, as well as the function of fine adjustment of the distance between the front panel and the furniture body, are functionally separated from each other.
This means that the drawer is locked or fixed to the pull-out guide with little play. The complementary latching means advantageously serve to ensure that the front panel is securely fixed to the furniture body when the drawer is fully inserted into the furniture body, and are also advantageous for compensating for tolerances.
There are various possibilities of implementation, such as implementing the fixation device in different positions as a non-positively locking or positively locking fixation device, or a mixture of non-positively locking and positively locking.
According to a variant of this type, the securing device can be designed to simply and safely serve as a latching device, in such a way that the base element and the slide can be locked in different latching positions relative to one another.
Alternatively, it is conceivable to fix the clamp in a different locking position. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the latching device includes a latch plate having a latch tooth and a locking spring assembly having a tongue. The tongue may be part of a locking spring assembly formed in one piece, such as an end of a leaf spring, or part of a locking spring assembly separate from the actual spring. Alternatively, it is conceivable, for example, to realize the locking spring assembly as a structural unit with a rotatable pawl, one end of which can engage in the latching tooth and which is subjected to the force of a spring, in particular a helical spring. This means that the latching device has a simple and robust design. Other configurations are contemplated.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the base element has a cuboid basic geometry. This makes the base element advantageously stable and compact, so that it can safely and permanently absorb further components and operating forces.
According to another embodiment, it is advantageous to provide a cam, in particular as part of the spring assembly, to exert such a force on the latching element that the latching lug penetrates the latching window, in particular due to the spring force.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the base element has a through-going portion with a substantially rectangular cross-section, wherein the through-going portion has one or more undercuts. This means that the component can be easily and thus advantageously mounted to the base element without the need for further fastening means.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one spring assembly engages in one or more undercuts in a simple manner. The spring assembly may be implemented in one or more components in various ways. An example of a possible practical implementation is a trapezoidal spring, wherein there may be a positive connection between the base element and the spring, in particular the trapezoidal spring.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the base element has a recess which is designed such that it allows the locking spring assembly to be forcibly connected to the base element by its free end on the base element side. This means that the locking spring assembly can be easily mounted to the base element and therefore advantageously does not require any further fastening means.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, a release button is provided, wherein the release button is movably arranged on the base element, in particular movably guided or rotatably mounted on the base element.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the housing plate is pivotably attached to the base element such that the recess as well as the undercut and the through-going portion are closed. In this way, in particular the cam as part of the spring assembly, the locking spring assembly and the release button are simply and advantageously secured against falling out of the base element.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the latching element has a first lug and a second lug, wherein the second lug is supported by the door. The movement of the slider relative to the base element simply and advantageously disengages the latch element from the latch window. This results in a simple and therefore advantageous handling of the unlocking function of the coupling device.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the first lug of the latching element can slide onto a surface of the spring assembly, in particular in the form of a trapezoidal spring, which is arranged parallel to the free end of the spring assembly. Thus, the spring assembly exerts a continuous force on the latch element such that the latch lug passes through the latch window. This ensures an advantageously secure locking of the coupling element.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the latching lug has a bevel on its side facing the front panel. This is a simple and therefore advantageous way to ensure that tolerances are compensated and that the locking of the coupling element is free from play.
The invention also creates a drawer with at least one base, a frame on each side of the drawer and a front panel at the front of the drawer, wherein the drawer has at least one pull-out guide to which the drawer is attached by means of the coupling device described herein. In addition, the invention creates an item of furniture having a furniture body with at least one such drawer. Other advantageous embodiments of the invention are also set forth herein.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a part of a wall or furniture panel of a furniture body 1 with a drawer 2. Only one side panel of the furniture body 1 is shown here. The drawer 2 has two frames 3, only one of which 3 is shown here. The frame 3 here is designed as a so-called "narrow" frame 3 having a relatively small width, which may be less than 15 mm, for example. They may be made of a metal material, such as steel plate. However, they may also be made of another material, such as wood or a wood substitute or a plastic material.
The drawer 2 has a base 4, said base 4 being fixed to the frame 3. The drawer 2 also has a front panel 5. The drawer 2 may also have a rear panel, not shown here.
The base 4 of the drawer 2 is here arranged at a distance from the bottom end of the respective drawer 3 in the direction of the top end of the respective drawer 3. The base 4 is supported on each of two pull-out guides 6, of which only one of the two pull-out guides 6 is shown in fig. 1 a.
In each case, the pull-out guide 6 here is of telescopic design, wherein only one running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6 is shown here. The pull-out guide 6 can also be designed according to different construction principles. The pull-out guides 6 are each arranged in the mounting space between the base 4 and the lower end of the frame 3 and each rest against the frame 3. The pull-out guides 6 are attached to the furniture body 1, more precisely to the side walls of the furniture body 1, wherein the angled body rails of the respective pull-out guides 6 are clamped around the lower end of the respective frame 3 (see fig. 12 a).
The drawer 2 also has a coupling device 100 by means of which the drawer 2 can be coupled or locked to the pull-out guide 6. The coupling device 100 is inserted into the cutout 8 in the frame 3 such that the coupling device 100 fills the installation space in the frame 3 or between the wall of the frame 3 and the running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6 and rests against the running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6.
Fig. 1a shows a state of the drawer 2 before being pushed onto the pull-out guide 6, while fig. 1b shows a state of the drawer 2 being fixed and locked to the pull-out guide 6 by the coupling device 100.
In fig. 2a, the arrangement of fig. 1a is shown enlarged, with the furniture carcass 1 hidden or not shown. Fig. 2a shows a coupling device 100 having a compact, here substantially cuboid geometry. The hook element 101 and the latching lug 102 are clearly visible, said latching lug 102 being formed at its free end by a latching element 103. Thus, the hook member 101 has a hook. Fig. 2a also shows a running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6, wherein the running rail 7 has a U-shaped cross section in this case. The web of the running rail 7 has a latching window 9 in its edge region.
In fig. 2b, the arrangement of fig. 1b is slightly enlarged, wherein the furniture body 1 is also omitted. The edge region of the web of the guide rail 7 engages in the hook mouth of the hook, so that the hook of the hook element 101 surrounds the edge region of the web of the guide rail 7 and the end of the web rests on the bottom of the hook mouth of the hook for contact. The latching lugs 102 of the latching elements 102 engage in the latching windows 9 of the web. Thus, the drawer 2 is locked or fixed to the pull-out guide 6 with little play. The process of achieving zero play in the locking system will be described in more detail below.
In fig. 3, the coupling device 100 and its individual components are shown clearly visible. The coupling device 100 has a base element 104. The base element 104 has the basic geometry of a cuboid and serves to receive, fasten and guide further individual parts of the coupling device 100.
The base element 104 has a through-going portion 105 of substantially rectangular cross-section. The through-going portion 105 also has two undercuts 106a, 106 b. The spring assembly, which is embodied here as a trapezoidal spring 107, engages with its two free ends in the undercuts 106a, 106 b. This forms a positive connection between the base element 104 and the trapezoidal spring 107, said trapezoidal spring 107 being made of flat material as a curved portion.
The base element 104 further has a recess 108, said recess 108 being designed such that a locking spring assembly 109 having a free end on the base element side can be forcibly connected to the base element 104 via the recess 108. In the assembled state of the locking spring assembly 109 in the base element 104, a tongue 110 of the locking spring assembly 109 projects into the free space of the recess 108, said tongue 110 acting as a kind of pawl in the assembled state of the coupling device 100. The locking spring assembly 109 is made of a flat material as the curved portion.
The release button 112 engages in a further recess 111 of the base element 104. In the embodiment described, the release button 112 is movably guided in the recess 111. When the coupling device 100 is mounted, the release button 112 is used to unlock the locking spring assembly 109 when the coupling device 100 is latched, wherein the release button 112 is manually operated, i.e. moved in the direction of the coupling device 100. The free end of the release button 112 on the base element side is pressed against the tongue 110, so that the tongue 110 pivots out of the latching tooth 113 with the latching plate 114 (see also fig. 9b and 10 b).
The housing plate 115 is movably, preferably pivotably, attached to the base element 104. The fastening is effected by means of a connection, here a positive connection, for example a rivet connection. The accessory may also be designed differently. The housing plate 115 is pivotably attached to the base element 104 such that the recesses 108, 111 and the undercuts 106a, 106b and the through-going portion 105 are closed, whereby the trapezoidal spring 107, the locking spring assembly 109 and the release button 112 are secured against disengagement from the base element 104.
The housing plate 115 has lugs 116. The lug 116 is made, for example, by a folding process and has a threaded hole 117. Due to the lugs 116, the housing plate 115 has at least partially an L-shaped cross-sectional geometry. When the housing plate 115 is assembled, the lugs 116 engage in recesses 118 in the base element 104.
The base element 104 has a through-hole 119 in the region of the recess 118. When the housing plate 115 is assembled, the screw 120 passes through the through hole 119 and the screw hole 117, and thus the inclination of the base member 104 with respect to the housing plate 115 can be adjusted with the screw 120 via the screw hole 117. In the assembled state of the coupling device 100, the housing plates 115 rest against the respective frames 3 of the drawer 2 and are attached to the respective frames 3 of the drawer 2.
The coupling device 100 further comprises a slider 121. The slide 121 has a slide-guide surface 122, via which guide surface 122 the slide 121 is slidably guided on the base element 104. The base element 104 correspondingly has a geometrically corresponding guide surface 123. The guide surfaces 122, 123 or slide guides are here designed such that a flat guide is obtained when the slide 121 is mounted on the base element 104. The type of sliding guide can also be formed in a geometrically different manner.
At least some portions of the slide 121 have a U-shaped cross-sectional geometry such that the slide 121 is designed like a housing. The slide 121 also has a hook element 101 at one free end. On the inner side of one leg of the C-shaped cross section of the slider 121, the latch plate 114 is forcibly connected to the slider 121 by rivet engagement. The latching teeth 113 face the inside of the U-shaped cross-section of the slider 121.
The latching element 103 is also movably, preferably pivotably, mounted on the slide 121. The latching element 101 rests on the shell-like inner side of the C-shaped cross section of the slide 121. The latching lug 102 of the latching element 103 faces in the same direction as the hook element 101 of the slide 121. The slider 121 is designed such that the latch lug 102 can pivot out of the C-shaped cross-section. For this purpose, the slider 115 has a recess 124.
Furthermore, the latching element 103 has a first lug 125 and a second lug 126. For example, the lugs 125, 126 are each manufactured by a bending process and are designed such that the lugs 125, 126 at least partially form a U-shaped cross section of the latch element 103.
Fig. 4a shows a partial plan view of the drawer 2. In the illustrated initial state of locking the drawer together with the coupling device 100 on the pull-out guide 6 (not illustrated here), the front panel 5 is spaced apart from the furniture carcass 1 by a distance a.
Fig. 4b shows a sectional view of the drawer 2 through the coupling device 100. Coupling device 100 is shown in an assembled state. It can be clearly seen that the coupling device 100 is inserted in a cut-out of the frame 3 of the drawer 2.
The latching element 103 is also clearly visible, here in the unlocked state, and is mounted movably, preferably pivotably, in the slide 121. The second lug 126 of the latch element 103 is supported by the link 127. Also clearly visible is a trapezoidal spring 107, the two free ends of which engage in the undercuts 106a, 106 b.
The running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6 rests against one of the webs of the U-shaped cross section of the slide 121. The latch window 9 in the running rail 7 is also clearly visible, as is the hook element 101 formed by the slide 121. The hook or hook mouth of the hook element 101 is designed such that the hook of the hook element 101 can enclose the web of the extended rail 7 on three sides. Further, the latch plate 114 with latch teeth 113 is clearly shown. Also clearly shown is a locking spring assembly 109 which is supported in a recess 111 of the base element 104 by its free end facing the central body. In the initial position of the locking process, the tongue 110 of the locking spring assembly 109 engages in the tooth gap of the latching tooth 113 which is arranged furthest in the direction of the front panel 5. Thus, the release button 112 is not actuated, but its free end facing the locking spring assembly 109 rests against the locking spring assembly 109.
Thus, the slider 121 and the base element 104 have complementary latching means, namely a locking spring assembly 109 or tongue 110 and a latching plate 114 or latching tooth 113, so that the base element 104 and the slider 121 can be locked in different latching positions relative to one another.
The latching means 109, 110, 113, 114 are advantageously used to ensure that the front panel 5 rests firmly against the furniture body 1 when the drawer 2 is fully inserted into the furniture body 1, and advantageously to compensate for tolerances.
Fig. 5a shows a partial plan view of the drawer 2. In the state of the process of locking the drawer 2 shown here on the pull-out guide 6 (not shown here) by means of the coupling device 100, the front panel 5 is spaced apart from the furniture carcass 1 by a distance B, wherein the distance B is smaller than the distance a in fig. 4a or 4B. This means that the drawer 2 has been pushed further onto the pull-out guide 6.
In contrast to fig. 4b, in fig. 5b the hook of the hook element 101 surrounds the front panel-side free end of the running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6, so that the front panel-side free end rests on the bottom forming the hook mouth of the hook element 101.
The hook element 101 of the slide 121 is thus engaged around the pull-out guide 6 on three sides of its running rail 7. This advantageously results in a defined distance between the bottom of the hook mouth of the hook element 101 and the locking window 9 of the running rail 7.
Fig. 6a also shows a partial plan view of the drawer 2. In the state of the process of locking the drawer 2 shown here on the pull-out guide 6 (not shown here) by means of the coupling device 100 (also referred to as rear latching), the front panel 5 is spaced apart from the furniture carcass 1 by a distance C, wherein the distance C is smaller than the distance B in fig. 5a or 5B. This in turn means that the drawer 2 has been pushed further towards the furniture body 1. This is possible even if the running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6 has come into contact with the bottom of the hook opening of the hook element 101, since the base element 104 (not shown here) can be moved relative to the slide 121.
In contrast to fig. 5b, the movement of the base element 104 relative to the slide 121 in the direction of the rear panel (not shown here) of the drawer 2 also causes the latching element 103 to be offset relative to the pull-out guide 6.
The first lug 125 of the latching element 103 is therefore pushed onto a surface 128 of the trapezoidal spring 107, said surface 128 being arranged parallel to the free end of the trapezoidal spring 107. Thus, the latch element 103 has performed a counterclockwise pivotal movement about its pivot point P, so that the latch lug 102 of the latch element 103 now passes through the latch window 9. This locks the pull-out guide 6 to the drawer 2 via the coupling device 100. The trapezoidal spring 107 exerts a continuous force on the latching element 103, which ensures that the latching lug 102 is firmly engaged by the latching window 9.
The latching lug 102 has a bevel 129 on its side facing the front panel (see also fig. 3). The ramp can compensate for dimensional tolerances of the hook element 101, so that the ramp 129 advantageously ensures a virtually play-free, secure locking.
In addition, the locking spring assembly 109 is also offset relative to the slider 121 and thus the latch plate 114. Thus, the tongue 110 of the locking spring assembly 109 now engages in the tooth gap of the latching tooth 113 which is located behind the tooth gap furthest in the pull-out direction of the drawer 2 in the direction of the front panel 5.
In the state in which the drawer 2 is positioned on the pull-out guide 6 (not shown here) as shown in fig. 7a by means of the coupling device 100, the front panel 5 of the drawer 2 is spaced apart from the furniture carcass 1 by a distance D, wherein the distance D is again smaller than the distance C in fig. 6a or 6 b. This in turn means that the drawer 2 has been pushed further towards the furniture body 1, so that the gap between the front panel 5 and the furniture body 1 is further minimised. This is possible even if the running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6 is already in contact with the base of the hook mouth of the hook element 101, since the base element 104 (not shown here) can be moved relative to the slide 121.
This is clearly shown in fig. 7 b. In the following, the main differences or additions to fig. 6b are described. In contrast to fig. 6b, movement of the base element 104 relative to the slide 121 in the direction of the rear wall (not shown here) of the drawer 2 has caused the locking spring assembly 109 to also be offset relative to the slide 121 and thus relative to the latch plate 114.
Thus, the tongue 110 of the locking spring assembly 109 now engages in the tooth gap of the latching tooth 113, which is located between the tooth gap arranged furthest in the pull-out direction and the tooth gap arranged furthest in the rear wall direction (not shown here).
Fig. 8a shows a partial plan view of the drawer 2. In the state of the process of locking the drawer 2 shown here on the pull-out guide 6 (not shown here) by means of the coupling device 100, the front panel 5 rests against the furniture carcass 1. This is possible even if the running rail 7 of the pull-out guide 6 has come into contact with the bottom of the hook opening of the hook element 101, since the base element 104 (not shown here) can be moved relative to the slide 121.
This is clearly shown in fig. 8 b. In contrast to fig. 7b, movement of the base element 104 relative to the slide 121 in the direction of the rear wall (not shown here) of the drawer 2 has caused the locking spring assembly 109 to also be offset relative to the slide 121 and thus relative to the latch plate 114.
Thus, tongue 110 of locking spring assembly 109 now engages in the tooth gap of latching tooth 113, which is arranged closest to the rear wall (not shown here).
Since the latching tooth 113 has several tooth gaps, which may not be reached, depending on the tolerance position, although the front panel 5 has already rested against the furniture body 1. In this respect, the latching tooth 113 is not only advantageous for ensuring that the front panel 5 rests firmly against the furniture body 1 when the drawer 2 is fully inserted into the furniture body 1, but also for compensating tolerances.
Fig. 9a shows a partial plan view of the drawer 2. In the state shown here, at the start of the process of releasing the drawer 2 from the pull-out guide 6 (not shown here) by means of the coupling device 100, the front panel 5 rests against the furniture carcass 1.
This is clearly shown in fig. 9 b. In contrast to fig. 8b, the release button 112 is actuated in fig. 9b, such that the tongue 110 of the locking spring assembly 109 has been released from the latching tooth 113. The release button 112 can be operated manually, since the geometry of the respective recess 8 of the respective frame 3 is dimensioned such that such manual operation of the release button 112 is possible. This allows the front panel 5 and thus the drawer 2 to be moved away from the furniture carcass 1 in the pull-out direction, so that a gap with a distance E can be formed again.
This is shown in fig. 10a and 10 b. When the release button 112 is pressed, the tongue 110 of the locking spring assembly 109 no longer engages with the latching tooth 113, so that the displaceability of the slider 121 relative to the base element 104 allows the front panel 5 and thus the drawer 2 to be moved further away from the furniture carcass 1 in the pull-out direction.
Fig. 10b shows the state of the release process, in which the first lug 125 of the latching element 103 has left the surface 128 of the trapezoidal spring 107 and the second lug 126 of the latching element 103 extends onto the connecting piece 127. In this respect, the latching element 103 has performed a pivoting movement in a clockwise direction about its pivot point P. However, the latching lug 102 is still engaged in the latching window 9.
As the drawer 2 continues to move in the pull-out direction (i.e. away from the furniture carcass 1), the latch element 103 is pivoted further in the clockwise direction about its pivot point P by means of the link 127. This causes the latching lug 102 of the latching element 103 to move out of the latching window 9, as is clearly shown in fig. 11 b.
The initial state according to fig. 4a or 4b is thus reached again, so that the drawer 2 can be lifted off the pull-out guide 6.
