Abstract

本发明提出一类特别适用于蓝光(波长450nm)和红光(650nm)可写数字视盘(DVD-R)的新型信息存贮材料:非化学配比的络合物M1-βT,此处M为I族金属元素(锂、钠、铜、银等),T为四氰基对醌二甲烷。它们在这两种波长的光刺激下会产生明显的吸收变化,用作光盘记录媒质时具有信噪比高、反应快速、价格低廉的特色;且实际写入次数可达到10次以上,可直接重写,即性能优于一般的DVD-R。

Description

蓝光DVD-R用光信息存贮材料
本发明属信息科学技术领域,是一类适于用于蓝光(和红光)可写数字视盘DVD-R信息存贮的光致变色材料。
1996年11月问世的数字视盘(Digital Video Disc,DVD),引起了全球性的轰动,被誉为“二十一世纪的存贮器”。这是因为DVD把所有领域的光盘(laser disc)统一提升为更高密度和全数字化,为电视、音响、通讯、计算机和数据存贮等各方面开辟了全新的领域。经过协商后的国际现行标准,DVD采用与激光唱片从(CD)相同的基板,直径为120mm,可以双面播放。单面的记录容量为4.7GB,为同面积CD(容量650MB)的7倍,如用作图象(电影)播放,则时间可达133min,足以完整地容纳1部电影;其清晰度的理论值为800线,比现行的电视好得多;音响则可用杜比环绕声(Dolby Surround)AC-3;还允许容纳8种不同的语言和32种不同的字幕。所有这些都是因为存贮量大才能做到的。
至于DVD的进一步发展,现在国际上普遍认为是继续提高单位面积的存贮量,而最可能的途径在于使用蓝色的固体激光器,因此“蓝光DVD”被称为“下一代的DVD”。这是由于激光束斑的直径与波长成正比,要减小束斑尺寸就要缩短波长。以前的CD或激光视盘(VCD)用的都是波长为780nm的红外激光器;目前DVD所用的激光束则来自波长为650nm的红色半导体激光器,光点直径约1μm;如果使用波长为450nm的蓝光,则可使DVD的单面存贮量4.7GB增加到大约10GB。对电影来说,一张双面的蓝光DVD就能记录分辨率相当于高清晰度电视(HDTV)的电影2部,而用红光的DVD是做不到的。
对于只读存贮器(read-only memory,ROM)一类的普通DVD盘片,同最早的CD一样,信息的存贮是用盘片上的凹坑来形成的,因此不存在记录媒质的问题。对于可写入(录音或录象)一次的存贮器(write-once read-onlymemory,WORM)即DVD-R,目前多数人寄希望于沿用过去制备可写CD(CD-R)的磁光(MO)或相变(PT)材料,但二者都还存在着若干不足之处。第三种材料则为光致变色(photochromatic)材料,它在一定功率的激光照射下,将发生电荷转移(chargetransfer)而产生光谱特性曲线的变化。它在光作用前后的反差较大,工作原理简单、驱动器部件较少,材料成本低廉,特别是它有望用“光子烧孔”技术进一步增大存贮量,这是MO和PT材料所做不到的。但由于各种困难,过去国际上只有极少数单位在进行研究,也没有商品化。
本发明的目的在于提供一种能有效使用于蓝光DVD-R的光信息存贮材料。
本发明提出的用于蓝光DVD-R的光信息存贮材料属于光致变色材料——非化学配比的金属有机络合物M1-βT。此处M为I族金属元素(锂、钠、铜、银等);T为四氰基对醌二甲烷;β是一个根据所需性能加以选择的分数,一般≤0.4。上述材料可用真空法在DVD空白基板上形成均匀的薄膜,用金膜加以保护。该薄膜用波长为450nm的激光工作时,写入前(unswitched)和写入后(switched)的透射率正好具有最大变化(见图1),其比值达到3.5∶1左右,表明有极佳的信噪比,可以大幅度降低对电子线路的要求。
由于能发射蓝光的固体激光器国际上迄今尚处于研究阶段,因此暂时还没有一家能生产蓝光DVD-R。而从生产部门说来,最好是未来的发展与目前的产品能够兼顾,即具有向下兼容的方案。已经知道,金属有机络合物有一个先天的特点,即写入功率几乎与波长无关。因此在满足束斑大小的要求下,原则上可以使用任何激光器。而我们的薄膜材料恰恰在目前DVD用红光(波长650nm)处有另一最佳反差区(图2),写入后和写入前的透射率之比(注意同蓝光时相反)约7∶1。因此此种材料可先用类似于目前DVD的激光器做红光DVD-R;而在蓝色激光器商品化之后,可用同样材料制备蓝光DVD-R。
还要特别指出的是,我们这种用于DVD-R的存贮材料实际上可以不止写入1次。实验证明可直接重复擦写(overwrite)达10次以上。因此将来有可能代替常用的VHS录像带,或用于数字照相机等,又为发展另一些重要的电子产品开辟了新的前景。

Claims (3)

1.一类光致变色信息存贮材料,其特征在于由金属银与有机材料四氰基对醌二甲烷构成的非化学配比的金属有机络合物Ag1-β(TCNQ),其中,β为一个根据所需性能加以选择的分数,β≤0.4,具有稳定的光致变色特性。
2.根据权利要求1所述的光致变色信息存贮材料,其特征在于制成薄膜后,不论受到适当强度的蓝光(波长450nm)或红光(波长650nm)的作用后,均可产生显著的、对该波长的吸收率变化:前者>3,后者>6。
3.根据权利要求2所述的光致变色信息存贮材料,其特征在于还可以直接重写,且反复擦写次数不小于20次。
