Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a driver assistance device and a method for transmitting readiness for carrying from a vehicle to an external network.
Background
A system for exchanging services, such as in particular co-passenger opportunities and transport services, having at least one service server and a plurality of providers and interested persons is already known from DE 10343486 a 1. The system includes a communication mechanism capable of effecting at least one information exchange between the service server and the participants. Furthermore, the system comprises a positioning mechanism for determining the current position of the participant and a storage mechanism for at least temporarily storing information about the position of the participant. In this case, the provider and the ride opportunity of one party are temporally and currently correlated with the position and route information of the person of interest of the other party.
Disclosure of Invention
The driver assistance device according to the invention having the features of the independent claim has the following advantages in contrast: informing the carrying desire or suspending such desire by the driver of the vehicle is simplified. This can be done as follows: the driver is provided with an input device by means of which the driver can input a carrying expectation for the planned route or a termination of such a carrying expectation for the planned route, in particular during driving. Thereby, complex inputs, such as inputting a planned route or inputting an identity description, are avoided. This makes it possible for the driver to decide in a comfortable manner also during driving whether or not to carry people or objects. This improves the driving safety, since the driver can now also inform the external network of the decision, preferably by means of a single input, without any previous further input or menu selection. The driver assistance device according to the invention enables: all primary data from the devices of the vehicle are automatically summarized and transmitted without further input or selective selection of the data by the user. In this way, the frequency of ride offers can also be increased, the driver being able to instinctively make a decision about the ride and then transmit the decision approximately in real time, since this carrying option can be offered in a very simple manner, in particular when driving through a specific travel route.
Further advantages emerge from the dependent claims. It is therefore advantageous, for example, if the driver assistance device is arranged in a mobile device that can be removed from the vehicle and is connected to the vehicle electronics via a wireless interface. The user can thus store personal data, for example, on a mobile device, wherein corresponding information about the vehicle, such as an identification or other clearly identifiable vehicle identity, can still be transmitted to the network when the vehicle electronics are connected. This is advantageous in particular for the archiving of the completed carrying of the passenger or the goods, since it is thus possible in a simple manner to associate costs, but also the owner of the vehicle in charge, with the carried-out carrying.
It is also advantageous to provide an output unit or an interface to an output unit in order to display the identity of the passenger to be received or the receiving location to the driver. In this way, the driver can easily control the receiving position, which is preferably shown directly as a target input for the vehicle navigation. The driver gets the information in a simple manner, for example by displaying a photograph, as to the identity of the item or passenger to be received, so that said driver can easily identify the item or passenger.
It is also advantageous if the identification data comprise data relating to the vehicle and/or relating to the recipient range of the data set transmitted to the network. By means of the targeted recipient coverage, the driver can automatically determine to whom the network should arrange to forward the driver's offer and to whom the driver wants to offer the transport service. By selecting a recipient range, it is thus possible to arrange, for example, according to family members, company members, community members or members of a particularly closed group in a social network. This prevents the passenger from being presented to unknown or undesired persons. Preferably, the data about the recipient scope is only data that provides a reference to an external data source, but does not contain personal information itself. This makes it possible to avoid the transmission of the personal identification data itself to the network. Rather, the network gains access to personal or person-wide data stored elsewhere, for example a list of company members, by transmission. The list can be adjusted dynamically without having to prepare the respective current data in the vehicle or at the driver. Furthermore, the capacity required for transmitting person-related data can be reduced. In another embodiment, the network itself does not gain access to the person-related data, but can simply push the other computing device to send a message to the recipient range defined in the device.
It is also advantageous to preset the maximum detour for carrying passengers or goods via the input device, so that the driver does not have to assume his undesired detour path when he/she accepts the desire to ride. In a preferred embodiment, a corresponding input is made at system initialization, so that when a carrying request is issued, information about the detour to be traveled to the maximum is transmitted by means of the data record. In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that different maximum detours can be predetermined for at least two different potential recipients. Thus, for example, it can be provided that the driver of the vehicle is already able to assume a greater detour for family members than for company members. The respective detour sections are assigned to different groups of persons in the memory.
Corresponding advantages also result for the method according to the invention for transmitting readiness for transport from a vehicle to an external network.
It is also advantageous if, when the carrying desire is accepted, the corresponding information is transmitted back to the vehicle and displayed there. The communication carried out here is preferably recorded by the system, so that the carrying of the desired communication and the acceptance of the desired can be followed afterwards. Such checks are advantageous, for example, for reasons of possible remuneration, for example for reward or subsidy programs, for settlement of commercial transport or supply services, or for security reasons.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a driver assistance device 10, which is arranged in a motor vehicle, in particular in a passenger vehicle. The driver assistance device 10 has a computing device 11 for processing data obtained via an interface of the driver assistance device 10. The driver assistance device 10 is connected to a navigation device 12, which determines the current position of the vehicle in which the driver assistance device 10 is arranged via a positioning unit 13, for example a GPS unit. Furthermore, the navigation device 12 is designed to determine a driving route from the current position of the vehicle to a preset driving target.
The driver assistance device 10 is arranged, for example, behind a cover of an instrument panel or in a center console of the vehicle. Via a first interface 14, for example a data bus, the driver assistance device is connected with the navigation device 12 in order to receive or recall a driving route from the navigation device 12. Via the second interface 15, the driver assistance device 10 is connected to an input unit 16. The input unit 16 has operating elements, such as operating buttons 17, 18. In one embodiment, the input unit 16 also has a display 19, such as a liquid crystal screen. In a further embodiment, the display 19 is implemented as an operation-sensitive display element, a so-called touch screen. In this case, the operating elements 17, 18 can also be omitted and the operation can take place via the touch-sensitive display 19, for example by touching symbol areas in the display 19 and determining the touching of said symbol areas.
Via the third interface 30, the driver assistance device 10 is connected to a data transmission unit 21, which is able to establish a data connection 22 to a data network. The data connection 22 is implemented, for example, as a mobile radio connection or as a Wifi connection. Any other, in particular wireless, data connection can be used, which connects the data transmission unit 21 to a network located outside the vehicle, in particular a mobile radio network and/or the internet. The data connection 22 can also comprise a plurality of intermediate stations until a connection is established with a central station 23 arranged outside the vehicle.
In the driver assistance device 10 or connected thereto via an interface, a memory device 24 is provided, in which data of the vehicle and/or of the driver of the vehicle, which data can be stored in a particularly unambiguous manner, are stored. The data can be, for example, a vehicle identification number or a vehicle license number. In addition, a clearly associable driver identification number can also be used here.
The driver assistance device 10 according to the invention is used in the following cases: the driver wants to announce at the start of the journey or in particular also during the journey that he is ready to carry other persons or objects on his journey. The possibility of being able to be accomplished or realized instinctively or simply during travel according to mood status, time quota or other influencing factors without any advance notice/advance commitment improves the driver's side's readiness to provide the possibility of co-riding or transportation.
The driver assistance device 10 is configured here, for example, by an initialization step in the device of the driver assistance device 10, in such a way that a corresponding data set with all the information of the driver assistance device 10 required to indicate such readiness can be provided and forwarded to the network via the data transmission unit 21.
It is sufficient for the driver to carry out a unique, optionally yet confirmed input for the purpose of inputting readiness for carrying, in particular during driving, via a single actuation of the operating element, for example operating element 17, or by touching menu area 20 or by a corresponding voice input, without the driver having to provide additional information. In one embodiment, a separate operating element is provided for this purpose or a separate operating area provided only for this purpose is selected in an operating menu, wherein the function of the operating element or of the operating area corresponds to a switch by means of which a ride share desire can be indicated by means of a single operation. In one embodiment, the end of readiness for carrying is also entered in a simple manner by means of a single operating process without the need for further operating elements or operating regions to be operated during this, by subsequently operating the same switch or by subsequently touching the same operating region.
If the readiness for carrying is entered via the input unit 16 by the input of the driver, this information is transmitted by the input unit 16 to the driver assistance device 10. The driver assistance device 10 requests a travel route from the current position to the travel target from the navigation device 12. Furthermore, the driver assistance device adds data of the driver or vehicle status from the memory 24. Other data, such as time or current location, can be supplemented in the data set. The data transmission unit 21 is operated via the third interface 30 to transmit the data set via the data connection 22 to a receiving network, in particular a central station 23.
The incoming data set is processed in the central station 23. The information provided about the readiness for carrying of the passenger or the article can then in turn be provided by the central station 23 to other users. In particular, such information can be called up by another computing unit, for example a portable computing device 26, for example a mobile telephone, via the second data connection 25 and displayed in the display 27 of the portable computing device 26. The user of the portable computing device 26 can now indicate an interest in being carried via the operating element 28. This information is in turn transmitted to the driver assistance device 10 via the second data connection 25, the central station 23 and the first data connection 22. The respective carrying desires are displayed for the driver in the display 19, so that the driver can receive the passenger or the item to be carried at the receiving location shown for him later. For example, additional information can also be shown in the display 19, such as the identity of the person to be carried or an image of the person to be carried.
In another embodiment, the acceptance of the carrying desire is reconfirmed by the driver, for example by operating one of the operating elements 17, 18.
If the driver is no longer interested in carrying people or items on his remaining route section during his driving, he can also indicate, for example by actuating the actuating region 29 or the actuating element 18, that he does not want to carry other people on his subsequent driving route section. The information is likewise processed by the driver assistance device 10 and transmitted to the central station 23 via the data transmission unit 21 and the data connection 22. The central station 23 now takes the portable offer from its offer directory. It is thus possible that, via a single respective actuation of the actuating element in the vehicle, the carrying desire can be indicated or also eliminated again. The data required in this case are automatically collected by the driver assistance device 10 from the various elements and supplied to the data set to be transmitted, without the driver having to directly access an operating screen, a web page or a similar form in the central station. Thereby avoiding an additional selection step.
The communications and in particular the completed carriage of persons or items are stored in the central station 23 at least for a preset time duration, so that the carriage can be reviewed for security or accounting reasons.
Fig. 2 shows an alternative embodiment of the driver assistance system. The driver assistance device is in this case integrated in the mobile communication device 40, in particular in the form of a computer program. A mobile communication device 40, for example a mobile telephone, has a near field communication unit 41, for example a bluetooth device, by means of which it is connected via a data connection 43 to a mating near field communication unit 42 of the motor vehicle. In an alternative embodiment, instead of a near field connection, other wireless or wired data connections can also be used. The mobile communication device 40 is connected with the vehicle electronics via a data connection 43, wherein the communication unit 42 is connected to a data manager 44, which transmits data between the different devices in the vehicle. Via the computing device 45 of the data manager 44, data of the travel route of the navigation device 12, data of the input unit 16 for informing or cancelling the readiness for carriage and data of the memory 46 are provided and transmitted to the mobile telephone 40 serving as a driver assistance device. In addition, identification data relating to the user of the mobile telephone 40 can be associated with the data record from the memory 47 and transmitted to the central station 23 via the data connection 22, corresponding to the representation in fig. 1.
In a further embodiment, it is also possible to notify the carrying desire via an input device, for example a touch-sensitive screen 48 in the mobile telephone 40, wherein the mobile telephone 40 via a data connection 43 via a data manager 44 of the vehicle electronics in the motor vehicle calls up the data required for the data set to be transmitted and then provides it to the data set.
By inserting the mobile telephone 40 into a vehicle, it is possible, for example, for the driver assistance device to be available also in fleet vehicles or rental vehicles by means of a corresponding human machine interface.
Fig. 3 schematically shows a method sequence of the method according to the invention. After entering the readiness for carrying 50, the corresponding data, in particular with regard to the route of travel and with regard to the identification of the vehicle, are called up by the driver assistance device 53 of the vehicle system in a call step 51 from the vehicle electronics device 52. The vehicle accessory 53 then transmits the corresponding data to the central station 55 in a first transmission step 54. The user 56 enters a carry-on desire into the computing device, wherein the carry-on desire is transmitted to the central station 55 via a transmission step 57. If the corresponding carrying readiness is displayed to the central station 55, the central station transmits the information to the user 56 in a transmission step 58. The user indicates an interest in carrying the offer via a confirmation step 59, wherein the information is transmitted to the central station 55. The information is transmitted by the central station 55 back to the driver assistance unit 53 in the vehicle in a transmission step 60 and shows the driver a desire to carry. Since the information flow runs approximately in real time, the user 56 is only shown with the carrying offer if the driver has already confirmed the carrying expectation at the start of the trip and, in particular, during the trip, and the carrying expectation is not overridden by the driver.
Fig. 4 shows an exemplary configuration of a memory 70, in which information for different groups of persons is stored in a first memory area 71 and in a second memory area 72. Therefore, the first bypass information 73 and the second bypass information 74 can be saved. The determination can be made by the driver, for example, via the input unit 16, but can also be transmitted to the memory 70 via other means.
For the first group of persons corresponding to the first memory area 71, provision is made for the driver to be ready to travel a first detour 73, for example, of maximum 1km, in order to carry passengers. Accordingly, identification data of the individual persons can be stored in the data fields 74, 75, 76, the driving offers being displayed to the persons directly or when queried by the persons. In a further embodiment, pointers to the data sets can also be stored in the memory area, which pointers are transmitted to the central station 23 by means of the data sets. The pointer can relate to a determined group of people, such as a colleague of a business or a connected set of drivers of vehicles in a social network, for example. In this case, person identification data, such as a number or name, which allows an unambiguous identification of the person, need not be transmitted. Instead, it suffices to transmit the pointers to the respective person set. In the central station, the memory, in which the respective person set is stored, can then be accessed by means of the pointer, preferably a coded transmission. This furthermore provides the following advantages: the set of people can be dynamically maintained in other ways, such as a list of co-workers of the enterprise, which is updated directly in the central station.
In the second memory area 72 a further people list 78 can be kept, which is for example associated with a second detour 74, which in the embodiment is larger than the first detour 73. Thus, in case of a desired carrying situation, a signal can be sent, the driver is ready to undertake a larger detour, for example 5km, for the second group of people, for example in order to carry family members. The input of detours, personal information and the like are not required in the solution according to the invention, since said information is automatically transmitted to the central station 23 by means of a data set when the display is expected to be carried.
