Description

本发明涉及一种用于诸如滚轧机之类机械的油膜轴承的改进的加强的冷却剂保护装置。
图1示出了一种具有包括一冷却剂保护装置的密封结构的典型的滚轧机油膜轴承。轧辊10的端面12由一中间的渐缩段14连接至一由辊套18围绕着的直径减小的部分16。辊套用键或其它方式固定至辊颈,且由轴颈安装于一固定于轧辊轴承座22内的轴套20内。油从辊套与轴套之间连续地供给,密封组件24围绕着中间的渐缩段14,以防止油从轴承漏走,同时也防止外部施加的冷却水以及诸如灰尘、轧屑等之类的夹带的杂质进入轴承。
密封组件24包括一柔性的带凸缘的颈部密封件26和一密封内环28,它们都位于轧辊上以与之一起旋转,还有一密封端板30和冷却剂保护装置34,它们相对于轧辊轴承座22而固定。这种密封结构是本领域熟练人员所熟知的,因此,除了冷却剂保护装置34以外,基本不必作进一步解释。
冷却剂保护装置包括一弹性模制部件,此部件有一径向延伸的安装法兰36和成一体的密封法兰38。安装法兰36位于密封端板30内的环形凹部40内,并由一环形肩部41所包围。凹部40有一平的环形安装表面42,安装法兰由周向间隔布置的螺钉44固定在此安装表面42上。当安装法兰36如此固定后,密封法兰38成一角度地延伸而与轧辊端面12弹性密封接触。
冷却剂保护装置提供了防止不需要的冷却水及其所夹带的杂质侵入轴承而可能造成破坏的第一道防线。它也与密封内环28一起建立了通向密封端板内的一排出口(未图示)的迷宫式密封。而且,当轴承从辊颈上卸除后,安装法兰36与密封内环28的最外面的周向法兰接触并通过它施加一足以将内密封环和颈部密封件26都拉离辊颈的力。为了有利于此拉离作用,安装法兰的刚性通过增加其硬度来提供而超过密封法兰的刚性。同时,可以理解,在滚轧期间,在轧辊非推力侧上的辊颈由于热膨胀、机械公差等原因而容易相对于轧辊轴承座沿轴向发生移动或“浮动”。如果保持在允许的范围内,这种轴向浮动不会损害轴承。为此,肩部41作为一阻挡件,轧辊端面12可抵靠着它而限制轴向浮动,从而保护内部轴承部件不受可能发生的破坏。
冷却剂保护装置34模制成其尺寸与一给定轴承直径相配的封闭环状部件。通过除去一尺寸适当的周向段,以及通过将冷却剂保护装置的剩余部分绕着不同直径的轴承的轴线而弯曲,可以适配于不同尺寸的轴承。
这种结构的一个潜在困难是,在其工作期间,刚性较大的安装法兰36有从密封端板的安装表面42有离开或脱出的趋势。如果发生了这种现象,就会损害冷却剂保护装置的作用。
过去,如图2中所示的例子那样,冷却剂保护装置34′用一金属构件46来加强,此金属构件46有一定位成可防止从密封端板的安装面42离开的径向法兰48。然而,法兰48的径向设置限制了冷却剂保护装置绕轴承轴线弯曲的能力,从而使之不适用于较小的轴承直径。
本发明的主要目的是提供一种改进的内部加强的冷却剂保护装置,它可有效地阻挡安装法兰从密封端板离开的趋势,同时仍保持适应较小轴承直径所需的柔性。实现此目的的手段是在安装法兰内模制一加强环箍,环箍的宽度沿着与轴承轴线平行的方向延伸,并且与安装法兰的厚度方向垂直。环箍最好是金属制成的,并且位于用来将安装法兰连接至密封端板的固定件构成的圆周的径向外面。
图1是采用传统冷却剂保护装置的轴承组件的部分剖视图;
图2是与图1相似的、显示另一传统冷却剂保护装置的视图;
图3是包括本发明冷却剂保护装置的轴承组件的放大的部分剖视图;
图4是本发明冷却剂保护装置的放大的横剖图;
图5是图4冷却剂保护装置部分切除的部分立体图。
图3显示了采用本发明的冷却剂保护装置50的轴承组件。与图1及图2中相似的轴承组件的其他部件用相同的编号表示。
再参看图4和图5,可以看到,冷却剂保护装置50用适当的弹性材料模制而成,它包括具有平的前后表面54、56的径向设置的环形底部法兰52。一圆形密封法兰58成一体地连接至底部法兰52的内缘附近。密封法兰从底部法兰52的前表面倾斜地向外延伸而与轧辊10的端面12密封接触,如图3所示。
底部法兰52有周向间隔布置的孔60,每个孔从后表面56通到前表面54内的埋头凹部62。孔60容纳螺钉44,螺钉44用来将底部法兰52固定至密封端板肩部41的安装表面64。
一金属环箍66嵌装在底部法兰52内,其位置位于孔60构成的圆周的径向外侧且靠近法兰外缘。环箍的宽度“W”沿着与辊颈10以及冷却剂保护装置的轴线平行的方向延伸。
底部法兰的外缘在构造上最好能限定分别从前后表面54、56沿轴向延伸的圆形前后肩部68、70。后肩部70接纳于安装表面64内的圆形凹部72内。更可取地,环箍66部分地嵌置于底部法兰内,且一部分环箍暴露并构成后肩部70的外表面74。表面74最后从底部法兰的外缘沿径向向内呈阶梯状。
环箍的位置是这样的,即,其前缘从前表面54的平面向内凹入,其后缘则突伸得超出后表面的56的平面。
环箍66有效地阻挡了底部法兰52从安装法兰64沿径向向外变形的趋势。同样,环箍容许冷却剂保护装置的径向弯曲,从而使冷却剂保护装置可被切割一部分并弯成较小的圆圈。
当螺钉44拧紧时,迫使环箍66的暴露的表面74沿径向向外并牢牢地座落在凹部72的底部76内,从而将防水装置相对于轴承轴线沿径向可靠定位。

Claims (8)

1、用来可旋转地支承一辊颈的滚轧机轴承组件,具有围绕着辊颈并与其旋转轴线垂直的不转动的平的环形安装表面,所述安装表面从轧辊的端面沿轴向隔开以在其间构成一间隙,一柔性冷却剂保护装置用来密封所述间隙以防止冷却剂及其所夹杂的杂质进入所述轴承组件,其特征在于,所述冷却剂保护装置包括:
一径向设置的环形底部法兰,具有平的前后表面及内外缘,所述后表面可抵靠着所述安装表面而固定;
一环形密封法兰,与所述内缘一体连接,并且从所述前表面倾斜地向外延伸并横过所述间隙,以与所述轧辊的端面密封接触;
加强装置,用来容许所述冷却剂保护装置相对于所述轴线的径向柔性变形,同时抵抗所述底部法兰从所述安装表面沿轴向向外变形的任何趋势,所述加强装置包括一嵌置于所述底部法兰内的环箍,环箍的宽度沿与所述轴线平行的方向延伸。
2、如权利要求1所述的冷却剂保护装置,其特征在于,所述环箍是金属制成的,所述底部和密封法兰用一种弹性材料模制而成。
3、如权利要求1所述的冷却剂保护装置,其特征在于,所述底部法兰具有多个沿周向间隔布置的孔,以容纳用来将所述底部法兰固定至所述安装表面的固定件,所述环箍嵌置在所述底部法兰内并且位于所述孔的径向外面。
4、如权利要求1所述的冷却剂保护环箍,其特征在于,所述底部法兰的外缘构造得可构成分别从所述前后表面沿轴向突伸的圆形前后肩部,所述后肩部可接纳在所述安装表面内的一圆形凹部内。
5、如权利要求4所述的冷却剂保护环箍,其特征在于,所述环箍只有一部分嵌置于所述底部法兰内。
6、如权利要求4或5所述的冷却剂保护环箍,其特征在于,所述环箍构成了所述后肩部的外表面。
7、如权利要求6所述的冷却剂保护装置,其特征在于,所述外表面从所述底部法兰的外缘向内呈阶梯状。
8、如权利要求1所述的冷却剂保护装置,其特征在于,所述环箍具有一从所述安装法兰的前表面向内凹入的前缘,以及一向后突伸出所述安装法兰后表面的后缘。
