Abstract

发明领域
本发明一般涉及切割工具;更具体地说,涉及一种具有直槽的切削工具,并且构造该切割工具,以在围绕纵向轴线的任一方向上以旋转运动振动时切割。
背景技术
现有技术提供了在旋转时移除材料的切割工具。这些工具通常包括切入至工具中的一个或多个螺旋(helix);如果存在多于一个的螺旋,则螺旋全部沿相同方向布置并且平行。可以切割螺旋以用于工具的左手旋转或用于右手旋转。每个螺旋的前缘设有旋转时切割材料的尖锐的边缘,然而螺旋使切割材料远离切割动作。螺旋的后边缘设有减轻件(relief),以便不会在切割表面的边缘上拖动。
授予本发明的切割工具的发明人Bono的美国专利No.9,232,953提供了一种用于骨、软骨和椎间盘材料的切割工具,该工具包括沿第一方向布置的至少一个螺旋和沿第二方向布置的至少一个螺旋,使得切割工具可以来回摆动切割。然而已经发现,对于一些外科手术,这种结构在振动期间可能不能足够快地移除材料。
因此,期望提供一种旋转切割器构造,其在来回振动时切割两个方向,以快速切割骨、软骨和椎间盘,同时在移除骨、软骨和椎间盘组织期间,最小化对软组织的任何形式的变化。
因此,本发明提供了一种手术旋转切割工具,其通过提供具有直槽的旋转切割工具克服了现有技术手术切割工具的缺点,并且槽的每一侧设置有切割边缘,以在有限的振荡运动期间在两个方向上提供切割。
发明内容
简而言之,本发明提供了一种用于外科手术的切割工具。更具体地,本发明提供了一种旋转的手术切割工具,其通过提供具有直槽的旋转切割工具克服了现有技术手术切割工具的缺点,并且槽的每一侧设置有在旋转手术切割工具的有限振荡运动期间允许在两个方向上切割的切削刃。切削刃之间的区域设有减轻件,以在凹槽使切割材料远离切削刃时减小摩擦。
因此,本发明的一个目的在于提供一种旋转手术切割工具,用于切割骨、软骨和椎间盘材料。
本发明的另一个目的在于提供一种旋转手术切割工具,当围绕中心轴线来回摆动时切割骨、软骨和椎间盘材料,当在两个方向上移动时切割。
本发明的又一个目的在于提供一种旋转手术切割工具,其切割骨、软骨和椎间盘材料,并且当通过有限的振荡运动振动时在两个方向上切割。
本发明的另一个目的在于提供一种具有直槽的旋转手术切割工具,其中每个槽设有两个相对的切割表面。

具体实施方式
尽管本发明可以以各种形式实施,但是在附图中示出并且在下文中将描述目前优选的实施例,应理解本公开被认为是本发明的示例,并不旨在限制本发明所示的具体实施方式。
一般地参照图1-18,示出了用于切割骨和组织的手术切割工具100。该手术切割工具包括柄部2,柄部2具有纵向轴线4、第一端部8和第二端部10。柄部2具有围绕纵向轴线4延伸的周边表面6(图13)并且对称成形以允许至少要抓紧周边表面6的第二端10,用于绕纵向轴线4旋转。因此,纵向轴线4也是旋转轴。在优选实施例中,柄部10的第二端是圆形的,以与夹头、套管、钻夹头等本领域中已知的配合。在至少一个实施例中,柄部10的第二端包括一个或多个平面12。构造并且布置平面12,以与固定螺钉、切线销(tangent pins)等(未示出)配合,以确保手术切割工具100与驱动手术切割工具100的往复式研磨机50(图18)相同的速度和旋转弧振动。柄部2的第一端8包括切割器14,切割器包括外径16;切割器14包括两个或多个凹槽18,每个凹槽18平行于纵向轴线4延伸并从外径16朝向纵向轴线4向内延伸,形成嵌入式凹槽通道20;每个凹槽通道20具有一对相对的侧壁22、24,并且在每个凹槽的底部具有圆柱形半径。每个侧壁形成沿每个凹槽通道20的长度延伸的切削刃(cutting edges)42的面26,使得每个凹槽通道20提供两个相对的面26提供切削刃42,允许切割器在围绕纵向轴线4旋转振动时沿两个方向切割。为了增强切割作用并减小切割器14上的压力,每个面26包括倾角28,当叶片32相对于中心平面30居中时,所述倾角相对于通过所述纵向/旋转轴线4延伸的中心平面30发散,并且其中当所述凹槽18相对于所述中心平面30居中时,倾角28相对于所述中心平面30会聚。每个所述叶片32包括前倾角34,所述前倾角34从所述外径16朝向所述旋转轴线4向内延伸,使得面26和前倾角34的会聚为所述切割器14提供最外直径。在至少一些实施例中,前倾角34由半径形成,定位该半径以在切割器14振动时在面26后面提供减压。在至少一些实施例中,面26和前倾角34可包括凹口36或适于将面26分成较短段的波浪,从而减小切割器14的面26上的负荷。这些凹口36可以对齐,或者更优选地,相对于彼此偏移,以消除切割表面上的肋。在不脱离本发明的范围的情况下,切割器14可以形成有偶数或奇数个凹槽。通常,具有较多数量凹槽的切割器14将比具有较少凹槽的切割器更快地移除材料。切割器14可以由相同的材料形成并且与柄部2一体形成。或者,柄部2和切割器14可以由不同的材料构成,并且切割器14可以用适合将切割器14固定到柄部2的银焊料等粘合到柄部2上。在不脱离本发明范围的情况下,可以根据需要使用诸如高速钢和/或碳化物之类的材料。可以使用本领域已知的涂层,例如但不限于氮化钛、碳氮化钛、碳化钒等,具有比基材更高的硬度。凹槽18可以围绕切割器的端部延伸,如图1-9所示,或者可替换地,切割器的端部可以不构造成如图10-12所示的切割。
参照图13-17,示出了本装置的替代实施例。在该实施例中,柄部2构造成包括柄部凹槽40。柄部凹槽40沿柄部2的长度延伸并从外径16向内延伸,以减小手术切割工具100的旋转重量。以这种方式,手术切割工具100可以以更快的速度振动,从而随着其方向改变而减小手术切割工具的惯性。在不脱离本发明的范围的情况下,柄部凹槽40可以构造成平面、通道或适于减小柄部的旋转质量的任何其他形状。
参考图18,手术切割工具100在振荡研磨机内示出。在授予本申请的所有者的美国专利申请No.9,232,953中描述了这种研磨机。

Claims (19)

1.一种手术切割工具,包括:
柄部,所述柄部具有纵向轴线,所述柄部具有围绕所述纵向轴线延伸的周边表面,所述周边表面对称地布置,以允许所述周边表面抓紧以绕所述纵向轴线旋转,由此所述纵向轴线也是旋转轴线,所述柄部还包括第一端和第二端;
所述柄部的第一端包括切割器,所述切割器包括外径,所述切割器包括两个或多个凹槽,每个所述凹槽平行于所述纵向轴线延伸并从所述外径向内延伸,形成嵌入式的凹槽通道,每个所述凹槽通道具有一对相对的侧壁,每个所述侧壁形成沿每个所述凹槽通道的长度延伸的切削刃的面,由此每个所述凹槽通道为叶片提供两个相对的切削刃,使得当围绕所述旋转轴线旋转振动时,所述切割工具在两个方向切割。
2.如权利要求1所述的手术切割工具,其中每个所述面包括倾角,当所述叶片相对于所述中心平面居中时,所述倾角相对于通过所述旋转轴线延伸的中心平面发散,并且其中当所述凹槽相对于所述中心平面居中时,所述倾角相对于所述中心平面会聚。

14.如权利要求1所述的手术切割工具,其中所述切割器包括表面涂层,所述表面涂层具有比构成所述切割器的材料更高的硬度。
15.如权利要求13所述的手术切割工具,其中所述表面涂层是氮化钛。
16.如权利要求13所述的手术切割工具,其中所述表面涂层是碳氮化钛。
17.如权利要求1所述的手术切割工具,其中所述柄部包括多个凹槽,以减小所述手术切割工具的重量。
18.如权利要求16所述的手术切割工具,其中所述凹槽构造为细长通道。
19.如权利要求17所述的手术切割工具,其中所述通道包括圆角底面。
