Abstract

本发明涉及造纸业和制纸板业中疏水性上胶剂 分散体的制备方法。不论是对于上胶剂提供厂商还 是纸张制造商来说,这种制备疏水性上胶剂分散体的 发明既简单又经济。本发明在疏水性上胶剂分散体 的制备中,是以对被称为高压蒸煮器的应用为基础 的。

Description

疏水性上胶涉及制备或多或少具有防水性的纸或纸板。这种性能可以被例如所谓Cobb test的试验所测量,水对纸或纸板的渗透性,测量出来是一个时间函数,结果用吸收作用g/m2表征。对合适地使用疏水性上胶产品,该值一般为<25g/m2,而未用上胶剂提高疏水性的产品,该值可达到>100g/m2
用作疏水性上胶剂的常规化合物,包括木基(wood-based)树脂酸类及其衍生物。
目前,造纸业和纸板制造业迅速转向使用疏水性上胶剂,即所谓中性上胶剂。这些上胶剂一般是基于烷基-烯酮二聚物(AKD)或者链烯基-琥珀酸酐(ASA)的化合物。
疏水性上胶剂一般作为水分散体送到造纸厂和纸板厂中,该产品中该活性剂(AKD、ASA、树脂)的份量范围是5~50%。就ASA型上胶剂而言,最初在造纸或造纸板机中制备得到上胶剂分散体。
制造过程的起始步骤是在造纸或纸板机器的纸浆中加入疏水性上胶剂。某些情况下,上胶剂也可在制造过程的较后步骤加入,例如在施胶机的那一步加入。疏水性上胶剂的用量一般为纸或纸板干重的0.05~2.0%。
除了活性剂(AKD、ASA或木树脂)外,疏水性上胶剂的分散体还包括稳定剂,表面活性剂和其它添加剂。所用的稳定剂包括例如:阳离子淀粉、阳离子聚乙烯亚胺、阳离子聚丙烯酰胺、明胶或酪蛋白。
所用表面活性剂如:木素磺酸钠或磺酸烷基盐。
典型的添加剂包括:生物杀伤剂、明矾和调节PH的化合物。
由这些成分制备疏水性上胶剂分散体的常规方法是:在一个反应器中混合和加热以制备均匀的预混合物,此预混合物中含有适当比例的水,活性剂、稳定剂、表面活性剂和其它可能的添加剂。
均匀的预混合物得到后,一般经由高压均化器、胶体碾磨机或一高转速的离心泵循环几次,直至得到充分小的颗粒。(一般为0.1~10μm)。压力维持在50~500bar之间,温度为50~100℃。所得分散体再经由热交换器进入产品容器中,在热交换器中,该分散体的温度降至<30℃。
出乎意料地发现高压蒸煮器(digester),一种蒸汽喷射式蒸煮器,原先是设计用于蒸煮淀粉的,可在制备疏水性上胶剂分散体中,用作效果很好的分散装置。
下面将参考附图1,更详细解释本发明。图1是蒸汽喷射式蒸煮器工艺流程图。蒸汽喷射式蒸煮器是如下工作的:
根据与前面提及的常规方法相同的原理,在反应器1中制备预混合物,然后该混合物被泵入蒸煮器的部分2中,此时混合物接触高压蒸汽流3,温度和压力增加(压力一般增加到2~15bar而温度增加到100~200℃)。形成的分散体再进入管式反应器4,然后压力和温度在骤冷器装置5中下降,过量的蒸汽由蒸汽冷凝器6分离开,所形成的均匀的产品再经由热交换器进入产品容器。
这个方法是从下面所述的常规方法中衍生出来的:
常规方法:

温度:50~100℃
蒸汽喷射式蒸煮器方法:
压力:2~15bar
温度:100~200℃
利用蒸汽喷射型蒸煮器方法制备疏水性上胶剂的分散体,使得在操作中,高固体粒子含量的应用成为可能;由于在蒸煮器和反应管中滞留的时间极短,通常小于2分钟,从而使利用很小的设备制备高产量的产品成为可能。
实施例1
下面是实验室规模中制备的硬脂酸甘油酯/棕榈酸甘油酯烷基烯酮二聚物(AKD)预混合物,具有下列组份:
水:800g
AKD:200g
Orotan SN:3.0g
Raisamyl 150E**:22g
*:萘甲醛磺酸盐缩合物,钠盐
**:阳离子土豆淀粉(DS=0.05)。
淀粉加入前已煮过。
将该预混合物分成两份。其中一份通过实验用高压均化器(Rannie)操作三次,压力为200bar,温度为70℃;另一份通过实验规模的蒸汽喷射蒸煮器操作一次,温度是120℃,压力是3bar。两种乳浊液被稀释成固体粒子含量为12.5%,冷至室温。
下列特性是从每个分散体中测量得到的:粘度(Brookfield)和平均颗粒大小。
高压均化器/蒸汽喷射式蒸煮器
粘度  10CP  8CP
平均颗粒大小  0.56μm  0.60μm
结果表明:这些分散相的特性几乎完全相同。这些分散体在室温下放置一月后再进行同样的测量,结果如下:

平均颗粒大小  0.86μm  0.95μm
结果表明这两种分散体的贮藏稳定性是相同的。
实施例2
下面是实验室规模中制备的链烯基-琥珀酸酐(ASA)预混合物,具有下列组分:
水:900g
ASA:50g
Orotan  SN:0.5g
Raisamyl  150E:100g
*衍生自直链C13-C20α-链烯的链烯基-琥珀酸酐的酐类。
将此预混合物也分成两份,其中一份流经高压均化器(压力200bar,温度50℃),另一份流经蒸汽喷射蒸煮器,温度为110℃,压力为1.5bar。
所产生的分散体被稀释为固体粒子含量为7.5%,它们的粘度和平均颗粒大小被测量如下:
高压均化器/蒸汽喷射蒸煮器
粘度  600CP  520CP
平均颗粒大小  0.50μm  0.65μm
结果表明:这些分散体几乎相同。
在这种型号的产品中,一般认为可接受的颗粒大小为<1μm。

Claims (2)

1、制备疏水性上胶剂的方法,尤其是造纸方法,其中基本的上胶剂成分基于链烯基-琥珀酸酐(ASA)、烷基烯酮二聚物(AKD)或树脂和优选加入的添加剂,通过加热和混合制备得到预混合物,此预混合物再经加压的热和机械处理,得到上胶剂分散体,其特征在于,该加压处理是在压力为2~15bar和温度为100~200℃下进行,时间少于2分钟。
2、按照权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,该加压处理是将该上胶剂预混合物用高速导入的高压水蒸汽处理而进行。
