Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to application of hydrogen peroxide in regulating and controlling growth and development of side branches of cut flowers of Chinese herbaceous peony, belonging to the technical field of cultivation of Chinese herbaceous peony.
Background
Paeonia lactiflora Pall is a traditional famous flower originally produced in China, is a high-grade cut flower widely favored in the international market at present, and is widely used in festive occasions such as wedding and celebration. Desirable cut peony flowers are not only excellent in flower type, flower color, flower fragrance, flower stem, vase expression, etc., but also have the characteristics of having few or no side branches as in plants such as chrysanthemum, rose, etc. The traditional Chinese peony variety is mainly used for courtyard cultivation and pot culture, and the attention is not focused on the side branches during variety breeding, but more on the aspects of flower type, flower color, flower fragrance, flower stem and the like. This also makes Chinese some peony varieties with good color, smell and appearance need to remove side branches when they are changed into cut flowers. Unlike other plants, the peony lateral branches do not affect the overall crown width and shape of the plants, but the growth and development of the lateral branches not only consumes the nutrition of the plants, but also affects the growth of terminal buds, thereby reducing the commercial quality of the peony cut flowers. At present, the production mainly adopts a manual removal method aiming at the problem of the multi-lateral branches of the Chinese herbaceous peony. For example: it has been found in the graduation paper "influence of debarked buds and calcium spraying on the quality of cut peony flowers" (2012, Beijing: China forestry science research institute) that the quality of cut peony flowers can be effectively improved by artificially removing the lateral branches when the main buds are 2 cm. Although the manual removing method can thoroughly remove the lateral branches on the main stems of the Chinese herbaceous peony and further effectively improve the quality of the Chinese herbaceous peony cut flower, the conventional manual removing method has high labor cost and time and labor consumption in operation, and is difficult to adapt to the development requirements of modern agriculture. In addition, the invention patent of a method for inhibiting development of lateral branches of Chinese herbaceous peony (application number: 201510523390.5) discloses that spraying of a paclobutrazol solution on branches and leaves of Chinese herbaceous peony achieves the effect of inhibiting the development of lateral branches. Although the method can inhibit the development of the lateral branches of the Chinese herbaceous peony, the application of paclobutrazol is easy to pollute soil and can remain in plants for a long time, and the reason is that the paclobutrazol is rarely applied in modern agriculture. Therefore, the invention is of great importance in the method for regulating and controlling the growth and development of the lateral branches, which is simple, safe and pollution-free and can be used on the peony cut flowers.
