Abstract

一种具有监测激光二极管光输出的监测二极管的激光二极管组件,包括:激光二极管;具有将上述激光二极管的出射光向所希望的方向投射的投射窗和将上述激光二极管的出射光进行反射的反射表面的光学部件;用于监测激光二极管的出射光的光输出,接受由上述光学部件反射表面反射的出射光的监测二极管;及设置于上述光学部件的投射窗投射的光所形成的光路以外的区域,用于遮掩外部光的结构。可防止由于外部光所引起的误动作。

Description

具有光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件
本发明涉及具有监测激光二极管光输出的监测二极管的激光二极管组件,特别涉及具有遮掩有可能诱发监测二极管误动作的外部光的光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件。
通常情况下,像CD盘这样的光盘系统一般是将激光照射在光盘的记录面上,并将记录在光盘上的信息读出来。就这样的光盘系统而言,激光的输出如果变动的话,那么从光盘上读取信号时有可能发生错误。因此,为了稳定地控制激光的输出功率,光盘系统设置有激光输出稳定用伺服系统(自动激光控制:ALPC)。
对于CD盘等,作为光源所使用的半导体激光二极管的温度特性比较差。也就是说,温度上升时,光输出功率减少;温度下降时,光输出功率增加。光盘系统的ALPC电路为了控制这样的激光二极管的光输出,使用了光电二极管,根据流经光电二极管的电流,控制激光二极管的驱动电流使之保持恒定。
图1表示的是现有的激光二极管组件。图1的激光二极管组件100包括:激光二极管11,用于监测激光二极管11的光输出的监测二极管12以及用于检测记录在光盘17上的信息的检测二极管13。激光二极管11、监测二极管12以及检测二极管13被置于引线框架基座10上。从激光二极管11射出的光大部分通过透明板15入射到物镜16。激光二极管11的一部分出射光由透明板15的表面18反射,再入射到监测二极管12中去。入射到物镜16中去的光通过物镜16聚焦在光盘17的某一点上。由光盘17反射的光通过物镜16进入激光二极管组件100内。
激光二极管组件100中的透明板15在与物镜16相对的表面部分设置有全息元件14,是通过射出成形进行制作的。透明板15的全息元件14衍射由物镜16入射的光。经全息元件14衍射的光入射到检测二极管13。
监测二极管12将与入射光的光量成比例的监测电流输出到ALPC电路(图中未示出)。众所周知,通常的ALPC电路根据监测二极管12输出的监测电流,对激光二极管11的驱动电流进行恒定调整。
如果光盘17产生晃动,或外部的光a入射到监测二极管12中时,会产生监测二极管12监测的由激光二极管11出射的光量比实际的光量要多的问题。
本发明正是为了解决上述问题而研制的,其目的在于为了能够正确地监测激光二极管的光输出,提供一种具有遮掩外部光的光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件。
为达上述目的,本发明涉及的具有光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件,包括:激光二极管;具有将来自所述激光二极管的出射光向所希望的方向投射的投射窗和将来自所述激光二极管的出射光进行反射的反射表面的光学部件;用于监测所述激光二极管出射光的光输出,接收由所述光学部件的反射表面反射的出射光的监测二极管;以及设置在所述光学部件中的沟槽结构,该沟槽结构通过散射所述光学部件的投射窗投射的光所形成的光路之外的区域的光,来遮掩所述外部光。

下面参照附图,详细说明本发明的一优选实施例。
图2表示的是本发明涉及的激光二极管组件200的结构。具有和图1相同编码的元件其功能也与之相同。激光二极管组件200上设置着具有将入射光散射的光学特性的沟20。所述沟20的大小和形状,能够遮挡在激光二极管11和物镜16之间形成的激光二极管11出射光光路之外的其他部分。
在具有上述结构的激光二极管组件200中,外部光b通过沟20,同时被散射。因此,入射到监测二板管12的外部光b,其强度是非常小的。也就是说,入射到监测二极管12的外部光b的强度不足以使监测电流的大小发生变化。从而,只有由透明板15的表面18反射的激光二极管11的光入射到监测二极管12。因此,监测二极管12可以输出与激光二极管11的光输出成比例的监控电流。另外,本发明涉及的透明板15的沟20的表面经过了粗糙化(gross)处理,也可以遮掩外部光。
综上所述,本发明涉及的具有光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件可以有效地防止由于外部光的作用使监测二极管产生误动作。

Claims (2)

1.一种具有光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件,包括:激光二极管;具有将来自所述激光二极管的出射光向所希望的方向投射的投射窗和将来自所述激光二极管的出射光进行反射的反射表面的光学部件;用于监测所述激光二极管出射光的光输出,接收由所述光学部件的反射表面反射的出射光的监测二极管;以及设置在所述光学部件中的沟槽结构,该沟槽结构通过散射所述光学部件的投射窗投射的光所形成的光路之外的区域的光,来遮掩所述外部光。
2.根据权利要求1所述的具有光输出监测功能的激光二极管组件,其特征在于:所述遮掩结构其表面经过粗糙化处理,可以遮掩外部光。
