柔软剂是一种用于纺织材料以改变手感，使产品更有舒适感的助剂，所谓纺织品具有柔软舒适的手感是一种凭手指触摸织物而得到的主观感觉，当人们触摸织物时，手指在纤维间相互滑动、摩擦、手感的柔软性与纤维的动摩擦系数和静摩擦系数之间有一定的关系。另外，手感也与纤维的表面积有关。
