Description

本发明涉及含有用于储存观众喜爱的电视频道目录的存储单元和具有用于直接频道存取的数字键盘的电视接收机。
目前对有线电视系统用户来说可以看到40或更多频道是很平常的事。对于可看到的频道,很可能观众会有某些比其它节目更经常观看的“中意节目”。例如,某个观众可能有对新闻报导的中意频道,另一个喜爱体育节目,还有喜爱文娱节目的。
日本JVC公司所制造的AV2771S型电视接收机提供储存于五大类(“网络”、“电影”、“体育”、“新闻”和“备选”)的每一个之中的五个“中意频道”的节目可选清单。但是,有人认为,必须提出节目单然后必须选择用于频道选择的节目入口通道使中意频道功能的主要优点失去作用。也就是说,“中意频道”功能应当提供快速和简易的方式供观众从任何其它频道返回所需频道之用。
提供快速和简易使用中意频道功能的一个方法是提供每个中意频道的一个专用键阵列。这种系统的一个例子就是装在1988年的Mercury    Sable小汽车上的福特电子搜索AM/FM立体声收音机。这种收音机包括6个用于选择喜爱的AM和FM台的专用台存储器预置按钮。可惜,对于使用专用键的系统来说,必须把一些额外的键加到键盘上,使它既昂贵又复杂。
本文认为,电视接收机最好能在没有增加专用电键阵列的情况下提供多达10个中意频道的中意频道选择功能。在按照本发明的设备中,用户按压一个数字电键的时间达一个扩展时间周期(最好3秒钟),电视接收机的电路把这种“扩展按键”看作调谐中意频道“N”的一个指令,其中“N”对应于受压的数字电键。两个数字频道输入可以照常通过释放数字键在小于扩展时间周期(即,小于3秒钟)内完成。频道上行或频道上行键的扩展按键被看作这样一个指令即,把当前调谐的频道储存于中意频道存储器中由下一个受压数字键的号码所规定的存储单元上。频道上行和频道下行功能可以照常通过释放频道上行或频道下行键在小于扩展时间周期(即,小于3秒钟)内完成。如果想用一个独立的存储器键去储存中意频道信息,则按下的存储器键用作把当前频道储存于中意频道存储器中由下一个受压数字键所确定的存储单元中的指令。
图1以方框图形式显示适合于实施本发明的设备;
图2和6显示适合于本发明的遥控单元的键盘;
图3和5是流程图,显示图1所示控制器的控制程序部分;
图4显示图1所示控制器的一部分随机存取存储器。
参照图1,电视接收机包括RF输入端100,它接收射频(RF)信号并把它们加到调谐器组件102。调谐器组件102在调谐控制器104的控制下选择和放大特定的RF信号,调谐控制器104经由导线103提供调谐电压并经由宽双箭头103′所表示的信号线提供频段转换信号。
调谐器组件102把接收的RF信号转换为中频(IF)信号并向视频(VIF)和音频(SIF)放大器及检波器单元108提供IF输出信号。VIF/SIF放大器和检波器单元108把加到其输入端的IF信号予以放大并检出其内的视频和音频信息。检出的视频信息用作视频处理机单元121的一个输入。检出的音频信号在加到扬声器(图中未显示)之前加到音频处理机106上以供处理和放大之用。
视频信号处理机121把复合视频信号供给同步分离器单元160,分离器160在相应的输出端产生垂直(V)和水平(H)同步信号。水平和垂直同步信号被加到水平和垂直偏转单元170用于产生扫描控制信号以便加到显像管组件(图中未显示)的偏转线圈上。
调谐控制器104(它可能在控制微计算机110之内)响应由系统控制微计算机(uc)110施加的控制信号而产生调谐电压和频段转换信号。本文所用术语“微计算机”和“微处理机”是同义词。一般还认为,微计算机110的控制功能可以由为特定目的而专门制造的集成电路(即,“定制芯片”)来执行,而本文所用术语“控制器”也用来包括这样的装置。微计算机110从红外(IR)接收机119并从安装在电视接收机本身的“本机”键盘118接收用户启动指令。IR接收机119接收来自遥控发射机128的IR传输。微计算机110包括中央处理单元(CPU)113,程序存储器(ROM)112,和储存随机存取存储器(RAM)120中的频道相关数据。RAM120不是在微处理机110的内部就是在其外部,而且不是属于易失型就是属于非易失型。术语“RAM”也用来包括电可擦可编程只读存储器(EEPROM)。本领域技术人员会考虑到,若采用易失性存储器,最理想的是用适当形式的备用电源以便在关断接收机时仍能保存其内容。
微处理机110还可包括屏幕显示单元(OSD)185,用于产生适合于显示诸如字符等标记的辅助信号以供在显像管的显示屏幕上显示之用。另一方面,屏幕显示单元185也可在微处理机110的外部。
微处理机110还包括定时器122,用于在CPU113的控制下确定时间间隔。在可供选择的方案中,定时器122可放在微处理机110外部,或者定时功能可通过执行导致精确定义的延迟周期出现的指令集用软件来完成。这些指令集通常以子程序的形式存在,在本领域中叫做定时环路子程序,必要时,由CPU调用。至今所描述的电视接收机是从美国印第安纳州印第安纳波利斯市汤姆森消费电子设备公司所制造的RCA    CTC-140彩色电视接收机得知的。
图2和6显示用于遥控发射机125的可供选择的键盘200和600,以控制彩色电视接收机。键盘200包括音量下降键210、音量上升键220、开关键230、频道下行键240、频道上行键250、以及0-9数字键[总的标为260),用于输入数字数据(例如频道号码)。键盘600包括所有上面列举的键这些键除百位数以外,以相同参考数字标明)和附加的存储器键670,其功能将在下面讨论。
本发明是针对采用数字键盘的电视接收机用的中意频道数据输入系统,该系统在没有使用独立的专用键阵列的情况下和在无需用户存取节目单的情况下允许选择多达十个中意频道。更具体地说,当键盘输入的前置数字被检出时,测量该键持续受压的时间间隔。如果该数字键被驱动期间的时间间隔超过3秒钟,则就启动中意频道选择模式。如果实测的时间间隔未超过3秒钟,则启动两位数字频道输入模式,并根据接收的频道号码的最后一位数字调谐到所需频道。
本发明的一个实施例将参照图3的流程图加以说明。图3示出微处理机110的控制程序的一部分键盘译码例行程序。图3所示那部分的例行程序用于检测数字键的扩展按键,该按键使中意频道选择模式能启动,通常的键控代码译码和显示功能是在微处理机110的控制程序的另一部分键盘译码例行程序中执行。在图3中未显示键控代码译码和显示功能,因为它们本身是已知的,所以无须加以描述。
每次接收键控代码,就执行图3的例行程序。该例行程序是在步骤300被输入并以IR接收机119,或从本机键盘118(在步骤310)接收数字。在步骤315,进行检验以判定这是否为特定频道号码而输入的第一位数字,倘若如此,那么程序就进到步骤320,在该步定时器122被启动。在步骤330,使消息“N”显示于显示屏幕上,其中“N”表示受压数字键的号码。
按照本发明,可以利用前置数字的数字键持续被驱动的时间长度把频道号码和中意频道位置彼此加以区别开。也就是说,如果数字键持续被驱动长达至少3秒钟的周期,则就启动了中意频道选择模式。若不是,则启动2位数字频道号码输入模式。因此,在步骤340,进行检验以查明该数字键是否仍受压,若不是,则就检出短触动并在步骤325启动2位数字输入模式。若用户仍持续触动该数字键,则程序进到包括步骤350和340的定时环路,它确定一个3秒钟的周期,尽管还重复地检查数字键的释放。如上面所指出的,执行步骤350的定时功能会引起或者读出硬件定时器(例如定时器122)的输出,或者执行定时环路子程序。若3秒钟时间间隔已终止,则程序进到步骤360,在该步骤,相应于受压数字键的号码被输入如图4所示的变址指示字寄存器410,图4还示出10个存储单元系列400(已编号0-9),在下文称其为中意频道存储器。
在步骤370,中意频道存储器400被变址指示字寄存器所选取,使储存于已被编号的单元(对应于变址指示字寄存器410的数值)中的相应中意频道信息被读出供调谐用。在图4中,以举例方式,示出变址指示器410包含数字“6”,它表明数字键“6”已持续被触动长达3秒钟或更长。变址指示器410中的“6”导致中意频道存储单元6被选取。在这例子中,中意频道存储单元6包含用于使电视频道52调谐的调谐数据。在取得适当调谐数据之后,在步骤380,程序退到键盘译码子程序的剩余部分(其本身是已知的)。步骤380还从步骤315直接取接收的第二数字,因为第二数字不影响对中意频道选择模式是否被启动的决定。
当用户请求把调谐信息储存于中意频道存储器400中时,执行图5的例行程序。在步骤500输入中意频道数据存储例行程序并在步骤510从IR接收机119或从本机键盘118接收一位数字。在步骤515,进行检验以判定这是否为频道上行或频道下行指令。倘若如此,则程序进到步骤520,在该步骤定时器122被起动。在步骤530,在显示屏幕上显示消息“F-”,其中短划线被下一个受压数字键号所替换。
按照本发明,频道上行/下行指令和作为中意频道指令的储存当前频道可用频道上行或频道下行键持续被触动的时间长度来彼此加以区分。即,如果频道上行或频道下行键持续被触动长达至少3秒钟的周期,则就启动作为中意频道模式的储存当前频道。若不是,则执行频道上行或频道下行功能。在步骤540进行检验以查明频道上行或频道下行键是否仍受压,若不是就检出短时触动,并在步骤525执行频道上行或频道下行指令。若在步骤540,用户仍持续触动频道上行或频道下行键,则程序进到包括步骤550和540的定时环路,它确定一个3秒钟周期,尽管还重复地检验频道上行或频道下行键的释放。如上面所指出的,执行使步骤550的定时功能会引起或者读出硬件定时器(例如定时器122)的输出,或者执行定时环路子程序。若3秒钟时间间隔已终止,则程序进到步骤560,将对应于下一个受压数字键的号码送入图4的变址指示字寄存器410中。
在步骤570,中意频道存储器400被变址指示字寄存器所选取,使有关当前调谐频道的调谐数据储存于已被编号的单元(对应于变址指示字寄存器410的数值)中。用举例的方法,在图4中,示出变址指示器410包含数字“6”,表明在频道上行或频道下行键持续被触动长达3秒钟或更长时间以后,数字键“6”已受压。变址指示器410的“6”使对应于当前调谐频道的调谐数据储存于中意频道存储器单元6。在本例中,为中意频道存储器单元6编制程序,以包含使电视频道52(为说明起见,它是当前调谐频道)调谐用的调谐数据。然后在步骤580,该程序退到键盘译码子程序的剩余部分(本身已知)。对可能被接收的不同于频道上行或频道下行的电键而言,从步骤515直接到达步骤580,因为其他那些键不影响是否启动中意频道存储模式的决定。
用于储存当前频道调谐信息的扩展按键是从上面提到的福特电子搜索AM/FM立体声收音机得知的。在该系统中,如果按压专用台预置阵列的一个键并持续大约2秒钟,则用于当前调谐无线电台的调谐信息就被储存在存储器中。若此后按下该键并迅速释放,则预置电台就被调谐。但是要注意,这种收音机缺少用于直接频道输入的数字键盘,因而不得不增加本发明设法避免的专用键阵列。
重要的是要注意,上述主题的中意频道选择系统的较佳实施例排除了修改遥控单元的控制程序的必要性,因为本发明属于电视接收机而不属于遥控单元。由于无须修改遥控单元,所以在实施本发明时,可以使用现有遥控单元。
本发明的上述较好实施例的其他优点是不增加键盘的复杂性、节省了添加附加键的费用、以及节省了修改遥控单元的控制程序的费用。
许多现代多功能电视接收机采用了有包括相对大量键的键盘的遥控单元。本发明的上述较好实施例的优点是,键盘上不需要添加其他键,因为用户不需要在众多电键当中寻找另外一系列特殊用途键。
如果认为不应与中意频道存储功能共享频道上行和频道下行键,那么可以通过增加存储器键获得折衷,虽然增加存储器键需要修改遥控手持单元128。在本发明的这个实施例中,采用象图6所示的一种键盘。除了图6的键盘包括存储器键670以外,图2和6的键盘是完全相同的简易化键盘。使用时,短触动存储器键670代替了如上所述的频道上行和频道下行键的扩展按键。
本文所用术语消费者电子设备包括电视接收机和收音机。本文所用术语电视接收机包括含有显示装置的电视接收机(一般称为电视机)和没有显示装置的电视接收机(例如VCRs)。

Claims (11)

1、一种射频接收机设备,包括:
调谐装置(102),用于从多个射频(RF)信号中选择一个RF信号。
存储装置(120),用于储存有关所述RF信号中中意信号的调谐数据;
键盘装置(118,128,200,600),包括许多数字键(260,660),用于在所述键被用户所触动时产生对应于个别所述键的输出键控代码;
控制装置(110),用于接收所述键控代码和用于响应该代码而产生调谐控制信号以控制所述调谐装置(102);其特征在于:
所述控制装置(110)按第一模式运行,用于确定一个时间间隔,在这段间隔期间,当所述键控代码与预定值相对应时,就接收第一键控代码,当所述间隔超过预定的时间周期时,所述控制装置(110)在所述存储装置(120)内储存对应于当前调谐的一个所述RF信号的调谐数据,当所述间隔不超过所述预定时间周期时,所述控制装置(110)按照所述键控代码的内容处理所述接收到的键控代码;
所述控制装置(110)按第二模式运行,用于确定一个时间间隔,在这间隔期间,当所述键控代码与所述数字键的数字相对应时,就接收第一键控代码,所述控制装置(110)从所述存储装置读出储存的对应于一个所述RF信号的调谐数据并在所述间隔超过预定时间周期时调谐所述RF信号,在所述间隔不超过所述预定时间周期时,所述控制装置(110)按第三模式运行,以便一旦接收由所述键盘装置(118,128,200,600)接连发出的所述两个数字键控代码的第二个时产生一个所述调谐器控制信号。

所述控制装置(110)测量接收所述键控代码的持续时间,若所述接收的和实测的键控代码是所述预定键控代码,并当所述持续时间达到预定值时所述控制装置便按照下一个输入的数字键控代码当前频道数据执行在所述存储装置中的一个储存操作,若所述接收的和实测的键控代码是其中一个所述数字键的第一接收数字,则读出所述存储装置(120)和按照储存的频道数据调谐其中一个所述可取频道;
若所述第一接收数字不是在所述预定持续时间内被接收的话,则所述控制装置(110)加入所述数字作为两位频道号的第一位数,若所述预定键控代码不是在所述预定持续时间内被接收,所述控制装置按照其内容处理所述预定键控代码。
9、如权利要求8的设备,其特征在于,所述预定键控代码对应于频道上行键控代码,频道下行键控代码和存储器键控代码之一个。
10、如权利要求9的设备,其特征在于,所述预定持续时间为三秒钟。
11、如权利要求8的设备,其特征在于,
所述存储装置(120)包括许多数据存储单元;及
