All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The inventor of the present invention finds that, in the research process, the terminal device requests the media information delivery system to acquire the media information. When receiving the information request from the terminal device, the information delivery system acquires the media information from the corresponding media information source and returns the media information to the terminal device. In this way, the terminal device may present the media information at the corresponding information presentation location.
However, if the information source takes a long time to process the media information pull request message or encounters occasional network jitter, the media information delivery system cannot receive the media information returned from the information source within the preset media information pull duration. Under the above circumstances, the media information delivery system cannot return the media information to the terminal device within the preset media information pull duration, which results in a high timeout rate of the media information pull.
In addition, in the process of pulling the media information from the information source, if the suitable media information does not exist, the information source returns an empty message containing no media information or a message containing only partial media information to the information delivery system, so that the filling rate of the media information is low.
In view of this, embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for acquiring media information, so as to reduce a timeout rate of the media information and improve a filling rate of the media information.

step 201: and receiving a media information acquisition request of the terminal equipment, wherein the media information acquisition request comprises a media information display bit identifier.
Step 202: and if the media information display position is determined to correspond to a media information pulling time length threshold, adding the media information acquisition request into a time-consuming management queue corresponding to the media information pulling time length threshold, and starting a timer aiming at the information acquisition request, wherein the time length of the timer is set as the information pulling time length threshold.
Step 203: and acquiring a media information pulling strategy corresponding to the media information display position according to the media information display position identification.
Step 204: and pulling the media information according to the media information pulling strategy.
Step 205: and when the information acquisition request is positioned at the head of the time-consuming management queue, judging whether a timer corresponding to the first information acquisition request is overtime, and if so, taking the media information acquisition request out of the time-consuming management queue.
Step 206: and if the media information is determined to be pulled, delivering the media information to the terminal equipment.
In one embodiment, after receiving a media information acquisition request from a terminal device, acquiring a media information pre-pull strategy according to the media information display position identifier, pre-pulling media information to be displayed next time at the media information display position according to the media information pre-pull strategy, and storing the media information. And if the alternative media information is determined not to be pulled, judging whether pre-pulled media information corresponding to the media information display position identification is stored, and if so, releasing the pre-pulled media information to the terminal equipment.
In one embodiment, after receiving the media information acquisition request of the terminal device, the method further comprises: acquiring a media information substitution media information pulling strategy corresponding to the media information display position; pulling the alternative media information according to the alternative media information pulling strategy; if the media information is determined not to be pulled, judging whether the substitute media information is pulled or not, and if so, delivering the substitute media information to the terminal equipment.
In one embodiment, after the media information acquisition request is taken out of the time-consuming management queue, the information acquisition request is taken out of the time-consuming management queue and added into a processing queue; respectively creating N threads for the 1 st to Nth information acquisition requests in the processing queue, wherein N is an integer greater than 1; the N threads execute the following processing aiming at the corresponding information acquisition requests in parallel: taking out the information acquisition request from the processing queue; and judging whether the substitute media information is pulled or not, and if so, delivering the substitute media information to the terminal equipment.
In one embodiment, when the media information is pulled according to the media information pulling strategy, a media information pre-pulling strategy is obtained according to the media information display position identifier, and the media information to be displayed next time at the media information display position is pulled in advance according to the media information pre-pulling strategy and stored; after the media information acquisition request is taken out of the time-consuming management queue, adding the information acquisition request taken out of the time-consuming management queue into a processing queue; respectively creating N threads for the 1 st to Nth information acquisition requests in the processing queue, wherein N is an integer greater than 1; the N threads execute the following processing aiming at the corresponding information acquisition requests in parallel: taking out the information acquisition request from the processing queue; judging whether the substitute media information is pulled or not, and if so, releasing the substitute media information to a terminal device; and judging whether pre-pulled media information corresponding to the media information display position identification is stored or not, and if so, releasing the pre-pulled media information to the terminal equipment.
In one embodiment, after the alternative media information is determined to be pulled, it is determined whether the alternative media information is delivered to the terminal device within a preset time period before the current time, and if not, the operation of delivering the alternative media information to the terminal device is executed.
Fig. 3A and 3B are exemplary flowcharts of a media information obtaining method according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3A and 3B, the method includes the following steps:
step 301: the access server receives a media information acquisition request from the terminal equipment, maps the media information acquisition request to a launch engine server corresponding to the terminal equipment, and forwards the media information acquisition request to the mapped launch engine server.
In one embodiment, the media information acquisition request includes a media information presentation bit identifier and a terminal device identifier. The media information acquisition request may further include the number of media information requested to be pulled.
In one embodiment, the media information delivery system includes a plurality of delivery engine servers for pulling corresponding media information according to a media information pull request, for example, picture advertisement information, video promotion information, which can be directly shown on a terminal device. Due to the limitation of processing capacity and storage capacity, each delivery engine server can only provide information pulling service for part of terminal devices. Each end device corresponds to a delivery engine server. According to the terminal device identifier, the access server maps each media information acquisition request from the terminal device to a delivery engine server corresponding to the terminal device through a consistency algorithm (e.g., a consistency hash algorithm). Thus, the launch engine server can pull the media information for the same terminal device.
Step 302: and judging whether the media information acquisition request needs time-consuming monitoring or not.
In one embodiment, according to the media information display bit identifier, it is determined whether the identified media information display bit has a corresponding pull duration threshold set in advance. If yes, determining that the media information acquisition request needs time-consuming monitoring.
If it is determined that the media information acquisition request needs time-consuming monitoring, executing step 303; otherwise, step 304 is performed.
In an embodiment, assuming that any media information acquisition request needs time-consuming management, the step 303 may be directly performed without performing the determination of whether the media information acquisition request needs time-consuming monitoring, that is, without performing the step 302.
Step 303: and adding the media information acquisition request into a time-consuming management queue corresponding to the pull duration threshold corresponding to the media information acquisition request.
In one embodiment, each pull duration threshold corresponds to a time-consuming management queue. Different media information corresponds to different pull duration thresholds. And adding the media information acquisition requests corresponding to the same pulling duration threshold value into the same time-consuming management queue. For example, a head-end ad may need to return ad information at 80ms, a video may need to return an ad at 150ms, and a body may need to return an ad at 200 ms. The above requests can be respectively put into different queues for time-consuming management, thereby avoiding the following situations: when an acquisition request corresponding to long-time-consumption media information is processed, an acquisition request corresponding to short-time-consumption media information may have overtime, so that an acquisition request corresponding to short-time-consumption media information cannot be returned in time.
In one embodiment, a timer is started for each media information acquisition request in the time-consuming management queue, and the time length of the timer is set as the time length threshold of the media information pulling, so as to monitor the time-consuming situation of the media information acquisition request.
Step 304: and acquiring a media information pulling strategy according to the media information display position identification and the terminal equipment identification, generating a media information pulling request according to the media information pulling strategy, and sending the media information pulling request to a corresponding first information source.
In one embodiment, the media information presentation bit identifier corresponds to a media information pull policy sequence, the information pull policy sequence includes at least one media information pull policy, and each media information pull policy corresponds to pulling one piece of information, including an information source and a media information type of the pulled media information. The information source is a platform and a system capable of providing media information data, for example, for advertisement information, the information source may be any one of the following platforms: a supplier Platform (SSP), an advertisement Network (ADN), and an advertisement trading Platform (ADX). The supplier platform is a platform for carrying out all-around analysis and management on the advertisement delivery of the media; the advertisement network is an advertisement system platform connecting the advertiser and the network media, can provide advertisement management, publishing and monitoring services for the advertiser, and can also cash the value of part of advertisement inventory for the media; the ad exchange is an open, online ad exchange that ties media and advertisers together. The media information type may be media information size information, for example, 288 × 640 pixels, 330 × 640 pixels.
After the media information pulling strategy sequence is obtained, whether the media information pulling strategy sequence comprises pulling history information corresponding to the terminal equipment is determined according to the terminal equipment identification, wherein the pulling history information corresponding to the terminal equipment is the initial position of the current pulling corresponding to the terminal equipment. For example, the media information pull policy sequence includes 5 media information pull policies, and if the terminal device has requested to use the first policy for pulling media information last time, the second media information pull policy is recorded as the pull history information of the terminal device. If the media information pulling sequence is determined to include the pulling history information of the terminal equipment, at least one media information pulling strategy is obtained from the media information pulling strategy indicated by the pulling history information, and the number of the obtained media information pulling strategies is the same as the number of the media information pulling in the media information obtaining request. If the media information pulling sequence does not comprise the pulling history information of the terminal equipment, at least one media information pulling strategy is obtained from a first media information pulling strategy in the media information pulling strategy sequence, and the number of the obtained media information pulling strategies is the same as that of the pulling information in the media information obtaining request.
In one embodiment, the generated media information pull request includes the type of media information pulled. The media information pull request may further include user information (e.g., user interest information) corresponding to the terminal device, a type of the terminal device (e.g., Android, Iphone), network information (wireless local area network, wireless communication network), and the like, for assisting the first information source in selecting appropriate information. Then, the information pulling request is sent to the first information source contained in the information pulling policy.
Step 305: and according to the obtained information pulling strategy, the launching engine server determines whether the information pulling strategy is configured with a corresponding alternative media information pulling strategy, if so, executing step 306, otherwise, executing step 307.
In one embodiment, step 306 may be performed without determining whether the information pull policy configures a corresponding alternative media information pull policy, i.e., without performing step 305. At this time, it is assumed that any information pulling policy is configured with a corresponding alternative media information pulling policy.
Step 306: and the delivery engine server acquires the alternative information pulling strategy, generates an alternative media information pulling request according to the acquired alternative information pulling strategy and sends the alternative media information pulling request to a corresponding second information source.
In one embodiment, the alternative media information pull policy includes an information source that pulls the alternative media information and an alternative media information type.
In one embodiment, the generated alternative media information pull request includes a pulled alternative media information type. The substitute media information pull request may further include user information (e.g., user interest information) corresponding to the terminal device, a type of the terminal device (e.g., Android, Iphone), network information (wireless local area network, wireless communication network), and the like, for assisting the second information source in selecting appropriate information. Then, the substitute media information pull request is sent to a second information source contained in the substitute media information pull policy.
Step 307: and according to the obtained media information pulling strategy, the launching engine server determines whether the media information pulling strategy is configured with a corresponding media information pre-pulling strategy, if so, executing step 308, otherwise, executing step 309.
In one embodiment, step 308 may be directly performed without determining whether the media information pull policy configures the corresponding media information pre-pull policy, i.e., without performing step 307. At this time, it is assumed that any media information pull policy is configured with a corresponding media information pre-pull policy.
Step 308: and the releasing engine server acquires the media information pre-pulling strategy, generates a media information pre-pulling request according to the acquired media information pre-pulling strategy and sends the media information pre-pulling request to a corresponding third information source.
In one embodiment, the information pre-pull policy includes an information source of the pre-pull media information and a type of the pre-pull media information.
In one embodiment, the generated media information pre-pull request includes a pre-pulled media information type. The media information pre-pull request may further include user information (e.g., user interest information) corresponding to the terminal device, a type of the terminal device (e.g., Android, Iphone), network information (wireless local area network, wireless communication network), and the like, for assisting the third information source in selecting appropriate media information. Then, the media information pre-pulling request is sent to a third information source contained in the media information pre-pulling strategy.
Step 309: if the media information pulling return message from the first information source is received, whether time-consuming management is performed on the corresponding media information acquisition request is judged, if yes, step 310 is executed, otherwise, step 311 is executed.
In one embodiment, if the media information pull return message from the first information source is received, step 310 is directly performed, assuming that any media information acquisition request needs time-consuming management.
Step 310: the delivery engine server returns the pulled media information to the terminal device, sets a return identification position corresponding to the media information acquisition request, and then executes step 318.
Step 311: the placement engine server determines if the alternative media information pull back message is cached, if so, step 312 is performed, otherwise, step 317 is performed.
Step 312: judging whether the media information pull return message contains the pulled media information; if so, step 313 is performed, otherwise, step 314 is performed.
Step 313: the media information is sent to the terminal device, and then step 318 is executed.
Step 314: and judging that the alternative media information pull return message contains the pulled alternative media information, if so, executing step 315, otherwise, executing step 316.
Step 315: the substitute media information is sent to the terminal device and then step 317 is performed.
Step 316: and returning the empty message to the terminal equipment.
Step 317: the media information pull return message is cached.
Step 318: if the alternative media information pull-back message from the second information source is received, whether time-consuming management is performed on the information acquisition request corresponding to the alternative media information is judged, if yes, step 319 is executed, otherwise, step 322 is executed.
In one embodiment, if an alternative media information pull return message is received from the second information source, step 319 is performed directly, assuming that any media information acquisition request requires time-consuming management.
Step 319: the launching engine server judges whether a corresponding return message is sent to the terminal equipment or not; if so, step 320 is performed, otherwise step 322 is performed.
Step 320: the alternative media information in the message is discarded and step 329 is performed.
Step 321: the substitute media information pull return message is cached and then step 329 is performed.
Step 322: the placement engine server determines if the media information pull return message is cached, if so, step 323 is performed, otherwise, step 328 is performed.
Step 323: judging whether the media information pull return message contains the pulled media information; if so, step 324 is performed, otherwise, step 325 is performed.
Step 324: the media information is sent to the terminal device and then step 329 is performed.
Step 325: determines whether the alternative media information pull return message contains the pulled alternative media information, if yes, executes step 326,
step 326: the substitute media information is sent to the terminal device, and then step 329 is executed.
Step 327: an empty message is returned to the terminal device and step 329 is performed.
Step 328: the replacement media information pull return message is cached.
Step 329: if a pre-pull return message from a third information source is received, the placement engine server caches the pre-pull media information in the message.
Step 330: and aiming at the media information acquisition request message subjected to time-consuming management, when the time corresponding to the media information acquisition request is determined to be overtime, the delivery engine server takes the media information acquisition request out of the time-consuming management queue and joins the time-consuming management queue into the processing queue.
In one embodiment, the processing queue is a lock-free queue. The lock-free queue is a queue realized based on atomic operation supported by Linux, and locking is not required when the queue is used, so that simultaneous access of multiple threads is met. Because the processing queue is a lock-free queue, the following steps can be executed in parallel on a plurality of media information acquisition requests in the processing queue by adopting different threads.
Step 331: the releasing engine server takes the media information acquisition request out of the processing queue, judges whether a return identification bit corresponding to the media information acquisition request is set, if so, ends the process, otherwise, executes step 332.
Step 332: and judging whether the alternative media information is cached, if so, sending the alternative media information to the terminal equipment, receiving the flow, and otherwise, executing the step 333.
Step 333: and judging whether the corresponding pre-pulling media information is stored, if so, sending the stored pre-pulling information to the terminal equipment, otherwise, returning an empty message to the terminal equipment.
In one embodiment, assuming that pre-pull media information is stored for any media information acquisition request, it may not be necessary to determine whether the corresponding pre-pull media information is stored, i.e., step 333 is not performed.
In this embodiment, the first information source, the second information source, and the third information source may be the same information source or different information sources, which is not limited in the present invention.
In this embodiment, the steps may be performed sequentially or simultaneously. For example, the steps 304, 306, and 308 may be executed sequentially or simultaneously, which is not limited in the present invention.
In the above embodiment, the delivery engine server may determine in advance whether to configure a corresponding alternative media information pulling policy for the media information pulling policy. Specifically, according to factors such as a network condition where an information source is located in the media information pulling policy, an information source processing speed, and the like, the delivery engine server determines whether to configure a corresponding alternative media information pulling policy for the media information pulling policy. For example, if the information source corresponding to the media information pull policy is a local cache database, it is not necessary to configure a corresponding replacement policy; if the network where the information source corresponding to the media information pulling policy is located has occasional jitter, a corresponding replacement policy needs to be configured for the media information pulling policy.
In the above embodiment, the delivery engine server may determine in advance whether to configure a corresponding media information pre-pull policy for the media information pull policy. Specifically, the delivery engine server may determine whether to configure a corresponding media information pre-pull policy for the media information pull policy according to the media information presentation type. For example, if the media information presentation type is a loop presentation, a corresponding pre-pull policy needs to be configured for the media information pull policy.
In the above embodiment, the terminal device may be configured with a media information pulling policy, a substitute media information pulling policy, and a media information pre-pulling policy at the same time. Specifically, when a media information acquisition request of a terminal device is received, a media information pulling strategy, a substitute media information pulling strategy and a pre-pulling strategy corresponding to the media information display position are acquired according to the media information display position identifier.
