Abstract

Description
本发明涉及一种由多个梁状件构成的弹性、三维、能渗透液体的聚合网状片,所述的梁状件相互连接在一起在网状片中形成许多小孔。更为具体地说,本发明涉及这样一种网状片,其上的多个梁状件具有变形部分从而大大地增加网状片的弹性,和其吸收性制品。
很久以来人们都知道,在一次性应用的吸收性绷带行业中亟需制造出一种吸收性的制品,诸如一次性尿布、月经垫、卫生巾,失禁用物品等等,这种制品能对使用者提供一种干燥的表面感觉,从而能改善佩带的舒适感并尽量减少由于长时间处于与绷带内吸入的潮气相接触而引起的皮肤不良状况的发展。
对上述问题的一种可行的现有技术解决方法是一种具有一个多孔成形薄膜顶面片的吸收性制品。多孔成形薄膜顶面片能渗透人体排出物,但并不具有吸收性,而且具有较小的使液体再回流重新弄湿佩用者皮肤的趋向。因此,与人体接触的成形薄膜表面仍旧是干燥的,从而减少了对人体的污染并对佩用者产生一种更为舒适的感觉。多孔成形薄膜顶面片与常规的非编织纤维顶面片相比较,由于它们在使用中的清洁和干燥的外表,在吸收性制品中享受着广泛的商业信誉。
另外一种能改善吸收性制品的舒适和合身的方法是使它们可伸长,从而呈现出像衣服一样的特性。虽然可伸长的制品可以提高舒适和合身性能,但制成这种制品所用的材料却非常昂贵,不适于制造一次性吸收制品。例如,为了使顶面片可伸长,需要使用弹性材料。
因此,本发明的一个目的是以一个特别优选的实施例提供一种具有变形部分以增强弹性的能渗透液体的聚合网状片。
本发明的另一个目的是以一个特别优选的实施例提供一种具有增强弹性能渗透液体的聚合顶面片的可伸长制品。
本发明的又一个目的是以一个特别优选的实施例提供一种可增强弹性而成本又低廉的能渗透液体的聚合网状片。
在一个较佳实施例中,本发明涉及一种弹性、三维、能渗透液体的聚合网状片,它具有一个第一方向和一个与其垂直的第二方向。网状片具有多个梁状件,它们相互连接在一起在网状片上形成多个小孔。梁状件具有一个位于最上层平面的基本部分和一对从基本部分垂挂的侧壁部分。多个梁状件具有一些永久变形的部分,这些变形部分的基本部分在网状片处于非张紧状态时位于最上层平面的下面。当网状片在第一方向上受到张力而使网状片朝着第一方向伸展时,永久变形部分的基本部分朝着最上层平面上升,而当网状片上的张力去除时,永久变形部位的基本部分又回复到其最上层平面下面的非张紧位置。
在另一个较佳的实施例中,本发明提供了一种吸收性绷带,它包括一个接触佩用者的顶面片和一个用于吸收人体体液的吸收剂单元。顶面片是一层具有一个第一方向和一个与其垂直的第二方向的弹性三维能渗透液体的聚合网状片。该网状片具有多个相互连接在网状片中形成多个小孔的梁状件。这些梁状件具有一个位于最上层平面上的基本部分和一对从基本部分垂挂并接触吸收性单元的侧壁部份。多个梁状件具有永久变形部分从而当网状片处于基本上非张紧状态时使永久变形部分的基本部份位于最上层平面的下面。当网状片在第一方向上受到张力而使网状片朝着第一方向伸展时,变形部分的基本部份就朝着最上层平面上升,而当网状片上的张力去除时,永久变形部分的基本部份又回到其最上层平面下面的非张紧位置。

在本文中所用的“吸收性制品”一词指的是能吸收并容纳人体排出物的用品,更加具体地说,是放置在佩用者身体上或靠近其身体用以吸收和容纳从人体排出的各种排出物的物品。该“吸收性制品”的术语包括尿布、月经垫、卫生巾,内裤衬里、失禁垫等等。“一次性”一词在这里用来说明不打算在清洗后重新再作为吸收性制品来用的制品(也就是说,它们在用过一次后就被扔掉,最好是被回收,混合堆聚或者以环境相容的方式另外加以处理)。“整体式”吸收制品指的是由分开的单独部件连在一起形成一个配合的整体,因此它们不需要分开控制各个部件(如独立的支托和垫子)的吸收性制品。
本发明提出的整体一次性吸收制品的一个较佳实施例是如图1中所示作为月经垫的卫生巾20。这里所用的“卫生巾”一词指的是妇女在靠近阴部处,一般在尿殖器官外面佩带的一种吸收性物品,用以吸收和容纳月经和从佩带者体内流出的其它阴道排出物(如血液、月经和尿液等)。一部份插入佩用者阴道前庭内而一部份留在其外面的阴唇间用品也属于本发明的范围之内。在本文中所用的“阴部”一词指的是从外部可见的女性生殖器。然而,不言而喻,本发明也适用于其它的妇女卫生或月经垫,如内裤衬里,或其它的吸收性制品,如失禁垫等。
卫生巾20具有两个表面,一个与人体接触的表面或称“人体表面”20a和一个衣服表面20b。图1中所示的卫生巾20是从其人体表面20a观察的。人体表面20a是靠近佩用者的身体使用的。卫生巾20的衣服表面20b(如图2所示)位于人体表面的对面,当卫生巾20被佩用时放在靠近佩用者内衣处。
卫生巾20具有两条中心线,一条纵向中心线“l”和一条横向中心线“t”。这里所用的“纵向”一词指的是卫生巾20平面内的一条直线,轴线或方向,该直线大致与卫生巾20被佩用时,将站立的佩用者平分为左半体和右半体的垂直平面对齐(例如,近似平行于该垂直平面)。而这里所用的“横向”或“侧向”一词是可以互换使用的,指的是位于卫生巾20平面内大致垂直于纵向方向的一条直线,轴线或方向。图1显示出卫生巾20还有两个间隔开的纵向或侧边22和两个间隔开的横向或端边(或“端头”)24,它们一起形成卫生巾20的周边26。
卫生巾20可以有各种各样的厚度,包括相当厚的或相当薄的。图1-2中所示的卫生巾20的实施例是一个比较薄的例子。然而,应当理解到,当观察这些图时所示的多层材料使卫生巾20看上去比其实际上的厚得多。“薄”的卫生巾20最好具有小于大约3毫米的厚度。所示的薄卫生巾20还应当比较柔挠,从而使佩用者感到舒适。
卫生巾20最好可以伸长或拉伸。可伸长或可拉伸的卫生巾的一些例子公开在由Osborn等人在1992年7月23日申请的美国专利申请第07/915,133号和由Osborn等人在1992年7月23日申请的美国专利申请第07/913,204号中。
图2是沿图1中2-2线截取的卫生巾20的横截面图。图2显示出卫生巾20的各个组成部份。本发明的卫生巾一般包括至少三个基本组成部份。它们是一块能渗透液体的顶面片28,一个不能渗透液体的背面片(或“阻挡物”)30,和一个吸收芯体32。吸收芯体32安置在顶面片28和背面片30之间。卫生巾20最好包括可附加的侧折片或“翼片”36,它们可以被折在佩用者内裤的分叉部份。所示的卫生巾20还有一个粘接固定装置38,用于将卫生巾20粘接在佩用者的内衣上。可撕去的衬条39盖在粘接固定装置38上面,以防止在使用前粘接剂粘在内衣分叉部份以外的其它表面上。
吸收芯体32可以是任何一种能够吸收或保持住液体(如月经和/或尿液)的吸收性装置。如图2中所示,吸收芯体32有一个朝着人体的表面,一个朝着衣服的表面,两个侧边和两个端边。吸收芯体32可以制成各种各样的尺寸和形状(例如,长方形、椭圆形、砂漏形、狗骨形、不对称形状等等)和用多种通常用于卫生巾的吸液材料和其它的吸收性物品,例如一般称为空气毡(airfelt)的粉末状木纸浆制成。其它一些合适的吸收性材料的例子包括起皱的纤维素填料;化学硬化、变形或交叉连接的纤维素纤维;毛细通道纤维;合成纤维,如卷曲的聚酯纤维;泥炭苔;薄棉纸(包括棉纸卷和棉纸叠层);吸收性泡沫;吸收性海绵;超吸收性聚合物;吸收性凝胶材料;或任何等同的材料或这些材料的组合物,或混合物。
吸收芯体的构形和结构也可以是各种各样的,例如,吸收芯体32可以有不同的厚度区(中心部位较厚),亲水梯度,超吸收性梯度,或低密度和低的平均单位重量测定区;或者也可以包括一个或多个夹层或结构。但吸收芯体32的总的吸收容量应当与设计载荷和卫生巾20的预计用途相一致。此外,吸收芯体32的大小和吸收容量可以不同以适应不同的用途,如失禁垫,内裤衬里,常规的卫生巾,或过夜卫生巾。另外,如果需要,吸收芯体32可以包括某种材料或构形以提供挠性。
用作本发明的吸收芯体32的一些典型吸收结构公开在1990年8月21日授于Osborn的美国专利第4,950,264号;1986年9月9日授于Weisman等人的美国专利第4,610,678号;1989年5月30日授于Alemany等人的美国专利第4,834,735号;以及在1986年10月22日发表的以Drenk等人名义的,The Proeter&Gamble Company的欧洲专利申请第0198683号中。这些专利中的每一个都可以结合在这里作为参考。
背面片30和顶面片28分别放置在靠近吸收芯体32的衣服表面和人体表面处,并且最好用该行业中熟知的连接装置(未显示)连接于其上并相互连接。例如,背面片30和/或顶面片28可以用一种均匀的连续粘接剂层,一种有图案的粘接剂层,或一系列单独的粘接剂线,螺旋线,或点连接在吸收芯体32上或互相连接。一些满意的粘接剂由Minnesota州St.Paul的H.B.Fuller公司制造,其标号为HL-1258或H-2031。连接装置最好包括一种粘接剂线束的开放花纹网,如公开在1986年3月4日授于Minetola等人的美国专利第4,573,986号中的那种,该专利结合在这里作为参改。一种典型的线束开放花纹网连接装置包括有数条粘接剂丝线盘绕成的一种螺旋形图案,如1975年10月7日授于Sprague Jr.的美国专利第3,911,173号;1978年11月22日授于Zieker等人的美国专利第4,785,996号;以及1989年6月27日授于Wercnicz的美国专利第4,842,666号中的设备和方法所描述的那种螺旋形图案。这些专利中的每一个都结合在这里作为参考。此外,连接装置可以包括热连结,压力连结,超声波连结,动态机械连结,或任何一种其它的业内所熟悉的合适的连接装置或这些连接装置的组合。
背面片30对液体(如月经和/或尿液)不能渗透,它虽然可以使用其它的液体不渗透的挠性材料来制造,但最好用一种薄的塑料膜制成。这里使用的“挠性”一词指的是可以贴合和很快地与人体的一般形状和外形一致的材料。背面片30可以防止吸收和容纳在吸收芯体32内的排泄物弄湿与卫生巾20相接触的衣物,例如裤子、睡衣和内衣。因此,背面片30可以包括一种编织的或非编织的材料,联合薄膜(如热塑性的聚乙烯或聚丙烯薄膜),或者复合材料(如涂有薄膜的非编织材料)。背面片30最好是一种聚乙烯薄膜,其厚度从大约0.012毫米(0.5密耳)至大约0.051毫米(2.0密耳)。一些典型的聚乙烯薄膜是由Ohio州Clopay Corporation of Cincinnati制造的标号为P18-0401和由Indiana州Terre Haute的Ethyl Corporation,VisqueenDivision制造的标号为XP-39385的制品。背面片30最好是有压纹和/或为粗糙的表面,以呈现出更像布料的外表。此外,背面片30可以允许湿气从吸收芯体32逸出(即可透气)而仍能防止排泄物穿过背面片30。
顶面片28是流体可透过的,允许液体(如月经和/或尿液)能很快穿过其厚度,并当卫生巾20被使用时,顶面片28紧贴在使用者的皮肤上。顶面片28具有顺从、柔软的感觉,并对佩用者的皮肤没有刺激。
顶面片28具有两个表面,包括一个朝向人体的表面28a和一个朝向衣服的表面(或朝向芯体的表面)28b。顶面片28朝向人体的表面28a一般至少形成卫生巾20与入体接触的表面(“人体表面”)20a的一部份。
图3是一种现有技术中的三维、梁状、能透过液体的塑料网状片40的放大局部透视图,这种网状片十分适合于用作卫生巾20的顶面片28。该现有技术网状片40一般是遵照1982年8月3日授于Radel等人的共同转让的美国专利第4,342,314号的内容制作的,其结合在这里作为参考。图3中所示的能渗透液体的塑料网状片40上呈现出许多小孔,例如小孔41,这些小孔是由许多相互交叉的梁状件42,43,44,45和46在网状片的第一表面50中相互连接形成的。每个梁状件包括一个位于最上层平面52内的基本部份51。每个基本部份具有一个连接在其每个边上的侧壁部份53。该侧壁部份大致朝着网状片的第二表面55的方向延伸。梁状件的相互交叉的侧壁部份在网状片的第一和第二表面之间相互连接,并基本上共同相互终止在第二表面55的最下层表面56上。
在一个特别优选的实施例中,现有技术的网状片40的基本部份51包括一些由极微的表面变型体58构成的图案,这是根据1984年7月31日授于Abr等人的共同转让的美国专利第4,463,045号的内容制作的,该专利结合在这里作为参考。这种极微的表面变型体图案当网状片40受到入射光线照射时呈现出一种基本上无光泽的可见表面。
在一个特别优选的实施例中,相互交叉的侧壁部份基本上共同相互终止在第二表面55的最下层平面上,从而在网状片40的第二表面55上形成无数小孔48。由相互连接的侧壁部份形成的这些小孔容许流体从网状片的第一表面自由传输到网状片的第二表面,而在相邻的小孔之间则没有横向的流体传输。
图3中所示的现有技术网状片40更为普遍地被称为一种成形薄膜。多孔成形薄膜常被用作吸收性制品的顶面片,这是因为它们能够渗透人体排出物,但并不具有吸收性,而且具有较小的趋向让液体再回流重新弄湿佩用者的皮肤。因此,与人体接触的成形薄膜表面仍旧是干燥的,从而减少了对人体的污染并对佩用者产生一种更为舒适的感觉。成形薄膜的一些例子公开在1975年12月30日授于Thompson的美国专利第3,929,135号,1982年4月13日授于Mullane等人的美国专利第4,324,246号;1984年7月31日授于Ahr等人的美国专利第4,463,045号;1986年12月16日授于Curro等人的美国专利4,629,643号;1987年1月20日授于Ouellette等人的美国专利第4,637,819号;1989年6月13日授于Curro等人的美国专利第4,839,216号;和1991年4月9日授于Baird的美国专利第5,006,394号中。这些专利中的每一个都结合在这里作为参考。
图4是一种光刻层叠结构60的放大局部透视图,这种层叠结构被用来真空成形一种最初的不渗透,基本上为平面,加热的塑料薄膜,用以生产图3所示的那种现有技术中的能渗透液体的梁状网状片40。该层叠结构60最好根据1982年8月3日授于Radel等人的共同转让的美国专利第4,342,314号的内容制成,该专利结合在这里作为参考。层叠结构60由各个薄层片61、62和63组成。各个薄层片中的多孔图案是相互一样的。将图4与图3中的梁状塑料网状片40作比较,显现出塑料网状片40最上层平面52上的小孔41对应于光刻层叠结构60最上层平面66上的最上层开孔65。同样情况,塑料网状片40最下层平面56上的小孔48对应于光刻层叠结构60最下层平面67上的最下层开孔69。
位于最上层平面66上的光刻层叠结构60的最上层表面64上设置有极微细的由突起部68构成的图案。这种图案最好是在平面光刻薄层片61的顶面上涂上一层对应于想要的由表面突起部构成的极微细图案的保护性涂层,然后再进行第二次光刻加工。第二次光刻加工产生出一块薄层片61,在相互连接的梁状件的最上层表面64上具有极微细的由突起部68构成的图案,相互连接的梁状件构成五角形的小孔65。在其最上层使用这样一种由突起部68构成的图案的层叠结构的构造公开在1984年7月31日授于Ahr等人的共同转让的美国专利第4,463,045号中,该专利结合在这里作为参考。
在层叠结构制成后,用常规技术将它们卷成一个管状成形件520,如图5所示,它们的相对两端根据美国专利第4,342,314中的技术被连接起来,产生一个无缝的管状成形件520,如图5所示。
管状成形件520的最外层表面524用来形成与其相接触的塑料网状片,而管状成形件的最里层表面522在成形操作中一般不接触塑料网状片。当以图6中所示的那种加工方法在凹陷/开孔的滚筒555上成形表面时,可以使用管状成形件,这种加工方法公开在1979年4月24日授于Lucas等人的美国专利第4,151,240号中,该专利结合在这里作为参考。在所述专利中公开的特别优选的装置540示意地显示在图6中。它包括定张力薄膜供应装置541,凹陷和开孔装置543,和定张力薄膜前进和卷绕装置545。为了简化和更清晰地描述和公开该装置,必须与装置540的功能性部件同时设置的框架,轴承,支座等等就不再在图中示出或详细描述了,很明显,这种细节对于熟悉设计塑料薄膜变换机械行业中的一般人员将是显而易见的。
简单地说,装置540包括将热塑薄膜550的条带连续转变成刻有凹陷和开有小孔的薄膜551的装置,该装置直接用热空气喷嘴对准薄膜的一个表面,同时在靠近薄膜的反面处使用真空,且充份地控制薄膜550以便基本上避免该薄膜起皱和/或有可见的扩张。因此,正如后面将更为详尽地描述的那样,装置540包括在一个区域的上游和下游在薄膜上维持恒定机器方向张力的装置,在该区域中的温度要大于薄膜的热塑温度,但在该区域中基本上没有趋向于使薄膜产生可见扩张的机器方向和横向于机器方向上的张力。要求的张力用来控制和弄平行进中的热塑薄膜条带;没有张力的区域是由于薄膜在该区域处于足够高的温度引起的,以便能够制出凹陷部,并且如果需要,可使用热和真空进行穿孔。图6还显示出高倍放大的薄膜551上的穿孔,以便能够用肉眼观察出不穿孔的薄膜550和制出凹陷部和穿有孔的薄膜551之间的不同的性质。这部分内容将在后面更为详尽地描述。
如图6所示,凹陷和穿孔装置543包括一个转动地安装的具有封闭端580的凹陷穿孔滚筒555,一个不转动的三真空管组件556和热空气喷头装置559。三真空管组件556包括三根管道561,562和563。图6中还显示有一个能自由转动的导引惰辊565,一个动力转动的导出/激冷辊556和一个软面(如低密度氯丁像胶)辊567,软面辊是从动于激冷辊的。简言之,通过在三个真空管中设置独立控制真空度的装置(未显示),一条绕着凹陷——穿孔滚筒555的一部分沿圆周转动的热塑薄膜条带顺序地经受了管道561提供的第一级真空,管道562提供的第二级真空和管道563提供的第三级真空。正如下面将更为详尽地描述的那样,由管道561施加给薄膜的真空能在薄膜中维持上游的张力,由管道562施加的真空当热空气径向直接向内导向薄膜时能使薄膜穿孔,而由管道563施加的真空能使薄膜冷却至其热塑温度以下并在其上建立下游张力。如果需要,接触凹陷——穿孔滚筒555表面的薄膜可以在到达真空管道652之前通过本领域内已知的装置(未显示)进行预热,以便在凹陷操作中使由抗流动聚合物组成的塑料薄膜具有更好的适应性。在激冷辊566和软面辊567之间的辊隙570仅仅加以极微小的压力,因为高压将使以前述方式形成在薄膜上的三维凹陷压平。然而,辊隙570间的极轻微的均匀压力有助于由管道563施加的真空把下游张力(如辊子缠绕张力)与凹陷——穿孔滚筒555的凹陷——穿孔部份隔开,并使辊隙570能够将凹陷和穿有孔的薄膜从凹陷——穿孔滚筒555上剥离。此外,虽然穿过薄膜进入管道563内真空抽入的环境空气通常能使薄膜冷却至其热塑温度以下,但通过激冷辊(如图6中箭头573,574所示)的冷却通道可以使该设备处理较厚的薄膜或者以较高的速度操作。
总之,位于凹陷——穿孔滚筒555内的第一真空管道561和第三真空管道563能够在运行中的薄膜条带上分别维持基本上是恒定的上游和下游张力,而在凹陷——穿孔滚筒555内靠近第二真空管道562处的薄膜中间部份处于张力下,使对薄膜进行刻凹陷和穿孔的热和真空失效。
再参看图6,定张力薄膜供应装置541和定张力薄膜前进和卷绕装置545,如果需要,可以基本上与1972年7月4日授于Riemersma的美国专利第3,674,221号中显示和描述的装置中的对应部份一样(操作也一样),该专利也结合在这里作为参考。凹陷和穿孔装置543包括可转动安装的凹陷——穿孔滚筒555,以控制的周边速度转动的滚筒555的装置(未显示),在凹陷——穿孔滚筒555内的不转动的三真空组件556,在组成三真空管组件556的三个真空管道561,562和563内施加控制的真空级别的装置(未显示),和热空气喷嘴装置559。

虽然所公开的光刻层叠结构的一种比较理想的应用是在真空薄膜成形操作中,正如前述Lucas等人的专利申请中所提出的那样,但可以预料光刻层叠成形结构可以同样方便地使用,直接形成一个三维塑料结构。这样一种过程包括在成形表面上直接涂敷一层加热的流体塑料材料,通常是一种热塑性树脂;在加热的流体塑料材料上施加一个足够大的气动差压,使所述材料符合于穿孔层叠成形表面上的图象;使流体材料固化;和随后将三维塑料结构从成形表面上除去。还可以预料,如果需要,该现有技术也可以结合到适当加强的薄膜压纹辊及其类似物上,只要辊上最后受到的压纹压力不是太大以致会破坏由层叠压纹表面所呈现的特殊三维图案就行。如果需要,一个弹性的支承辊可以用在这种压纹操作中以避免损坏层叠压纹表面。甚至还可以预料,本发明的层叠成形表面可以在除塑料薄膜成形用途之外的一些用途上得到应用。
另一种将热塑薄膜条带转变成三维结构的较佳方法是在薄膜的一个表面上施加一种高压流体,该射流由水和类似物组成,在靠近该薄膜的反面施加真空。这种方法详细地公开在1986年9月2日授于Curro等人的美国专利第4,609,518号;1986年12月16日授于Curro等人的美国专利第4,629,643号;1987年1月20日授于Ouellette等人的美国专利第4,637,819号;1987年9月22日授于Curro等人的美国专利第4,695,422号;和1989年6月13日授于Curro等人的美国专利第4,839,216号中;这些专利结合在这里作为参考。
在图7和8中显示出本发明一个较佳实施例中的三维能渗透液体的塑料网状片80比实际尺寸放大约20倍的平面照片。这种网状片80特别适用于作为图1和图2中所示的那种卫生巾20上的顶面片28。图7是网状片80接触佩用者或人体的接触表面80a的平面图,而图8是网状片80朝向衣服或衬垫的接触表面80b的平面图。正如在图7和图8中可以看到的那样,网状片80是由许多相互连接在网状片中形成许多小孔82的梁状件81组成。“梁状”一词包含一种在三维成形薄膜中将相邻的小孔分开的三维结构。许多梁状件81具有永久的变形部位95。梁状件81的永久变形部分95是基本上在某一特定方向,最好是横向被拉伸或逐渐地扩展的部分。横向方向“t”就是垂直于纵向“l”或机器方向的方向,下面将详细叙述。梁状件81的永久变形部分95呈现出大致为鞍状的构形。
现在参看图9,可以看出网状片100的梁状件101的永久变形部分105要比图7和图8中网状片80的梁状件81的永久变形部分95具有更大程度的变形。两个网状片80和100的共同点是梁状件的永久变形部分的基本部份位于网状片最上层平面的下面,而网状片则基本上处于非张力或松弛的状态。然而,当网状片在横向上受到张力时,梁状件的永久变形部分的基本部份就朝着最上层平面升高,如图10所示。网状片在横向上受到张力时永久变形部分朝着网状片最上层平面的升高使得网状片在横向上延伸。当张力去除时,梁状件的永久变形部分恢复或缩回到它们的非张力或松弛的状态,如图9所示,因此,与不具有带永久变形部分的梁状件的相同网状片相比较,在横向方向上大大地增加了网状片的弹性。
简言之,梁状件的永久变形部分就象弹簧一样。这里“弹簧”一词指的是一种弹性体或装置,它在变形后又释开时恢复至其原来的形状。当在横向上受到张力时,梁状件的永久变形部分在施加张力的方向延伸或变形,而在施加的张力去除之后又恢复到它们原来的形状。因此,梁状件的永久变形部分大大地增加了网状片的弹性。
图3所示的现有技术网状片基本上是无弹性的。然而,改变其几何构形,该现有技术的网状片可以基本上是弹性的。一块根据上述方法制造的三维能渗透液体的聚烯烃穿孔网状片纵向通过图12中所示的滚轧装置450的辊子460以制造出本发明的网状片。辊子460包括齿470,齿与齿之间均匀隔开一段距离P(一般称作齿距)。每个辊子460上的齿470相互错开一段距离P/2。辊子460的外圆周490之间的距离可以通过相互啮合的距离E(通常称作啮合深度)来改变。
上述滚轧在网状片40上逐渐地拉伸,由此在横向上使许多梁状件81塑性变形。当薄膜被夹住在齿470的齿尖时,梁状件的拉伸逐渐在网状片的整个宽度上(横向)增加,其伸长的量与齿距和啮合深度成比例。当辊子460的啮合深度增加时,梁状件81的拉伸和塑性变形就增加。图7和图8所描绘的弹性三维穿孔网状片80已被0.075英寸的啮合深度和0.100英寸的齿距的辊子轧滚。图9和图10所描绘的弹性三维穿孔网状片100已被0.150英寸的啮合深度和0.100英寸的齿距的辊子轧滚。
本发明的一种特别优选的三维,能渗透液体的穿孔网状片是由Indiana州,Terre Haute的Tredegar Film Products出品的标号为X-5654的低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)薄膜并以上述方法造成的,更加具体的内容公开在美国专利第4,342,314号和第4,463,045中。10英寸宽和不同长度的网状片按机器或者纵向方向通过一个由手摇曲柄操动的滚轧装置。网状片上的每个小孔的直径大约为0.035英寸,而每个梁状件的宽度大约为0.007英寸。数个网状片以0.100英寸的齿距,0.050,0.075,0.100,0.125,0.140和0.150英寸的啮合深度进行滚轧。
施加给网状片的拉伸度是在一个Instron型号1125的测试台上进行抗拉试验来决定的。试验用的样品是从三维穿孔滚轧网状片上切下的3英寸×1英寸的条块,3英寸是网状片横向的尺寸。这些样品安装入Instron测试台的液压夹紧装置中,夹紧装置之间的距离(称为规准长度)为2英寸。每件样品都以每分钟5.0英寸的速度拉伸一直等到拉断为止。所得数据在一台IBM386个人计算机上用Sintech试验工作软件进行标绘。几个样品的力与伸长的关系曲线如图13所示。滚轧网状片的低的力弹性特性由以给定的啮合深度滚轧的网状片的拉伸比来计量。拉伸比定义为薄膜在其最大伸长时的长度除以网状片原来的规准长度。最大伸长是以先在力——伸长曲线图上画一条在100克的等值线,然后画一条在100克线上面与每条曲线相切的线决定的。所以选择100克的力是因为大于100克的力可能会增加网状片的梁状件的塑性变形。这两条线的交点被称作最大的伸长。这一数量加上原来的规准长度就得出样品的最后长度,而这个总和再除以样品的原来规准长度即为拉伸比,如以下公式所示:其中Lo是样品的原有规准长度,X是在最大拉伸时的伸长量,Lf是样品的最后长度。对每个啮合深度计算出的拉伸比作为啮合深度的函数标绘在拉伸比曲线图上,见图14。这样就可以通过改变啮合深度预先决定滚轧网状片的拉伸度。图14还包括对与滚轧穿孔网状片具有同样成份的滚轧不穿孔网状片的拉伸比与啮合深度的曲线图。这个曲线图以和滚轧三维穿孔网状片同样的方式绘出。滚轧两维穿孔网状片和轻度至高度压纹的网状片基本上可参照滚轧不穿孔网状片的特性。这说明了这里所描述的低力弹性特性适用于任何种类的经过滚轧的三维穿孔网状片,但并不适用于不穿孔的薄膜或者经过滚轧的两维穿孔薄膜。
如果梁状件的结构是三维的则其总体形状不是关键的。图11A-图11D是各种梁状件几何构形的横截面图。图11A是本发明的一种较佳梁状件的横截面图。梁状件81有一个位于第一或接触佩用者的接触表面80a的最上层平面85上的基本部份84。“基本部份”一词用在这里指的是当吸收性制品被使用时接触佩用者皮肤的那部份梁状件。一对侧壁部份87从基本部份84垂挂,一般朝着位于最下层平面90的第二表面80b方向延伸。
图11B是本发明另一个梁状件161的横截面图。从图11B中可以看到,梁状件161包括一个在第一或接触佩用者的接触表面166的最上层平面165上的基本部份164。一对侧壁部份167从基本部份164垂挂并大致朝着位于最下层平面170的第二表面168方向延伸。
图11C是本发明又一个梁状件261的横截面图。从图11C中可以看到,梁状件261包括一个在第一或接触佩用者接触表面266的最上层平面265上的基本部份264。一对侧壁部份267从基本部份264垂挂并大致朝着位于最下层平面270的第二表面268方向延伸。
图11D是本发明又一个梁状件361的横截面图。从图11D中可以看到,梁状件361包括一个在第一或接触佩用者的接触表面366的最上层平面365上的基本部份364。一对侧壁部份367从基本部份364垂挂并大致朝着位于最下层平面370的第二表面368方向延伸。
除了具有各种横截面几何构形外,梁状件的横截面沿着其长度可以是基本上均匀的或者是不均匀的。梁状件沿着其长度具有基本上均匀横截面的一个例子公开在授于Radel等人的美国专利第4,342,314号中。梁状件沿着其长度具有不均匀横截面的一个例子公开在授于Thompson等人的美国专利第3,929,135号中。所述的这些专利都结合在这里作为参考。
虽然本发明已对整个网状片在一个特定方向滚轧的情况进行了说明,但本发明决不限于这样的操作。本发明也可以只在网状片的预定某一部份进行滚轧。例如,网状片用作吸收性制品上的顶面片时最好能对吸收性制品的中央部份进行滚轧。本发明也可在不止一个方向上进行滚轧使网状片在不止一个方向上增加弹性。
除了对网状片提供较大的弹性外,将现有技术网状片滚轧也可以改变网状片的其它综合性能。经过环滚的网状片的褶皱,拉出的面积和最后的拉伸强度一般都增加。此外,滚轧过的网状片的光泽和有效拉长的基本重量一般都减小。
在本发明的一个较佳实施例中,成形薄膜顶面片的人体表面是亲水的,从而促使液体穿过顶面片比非亲水的人体表面要快,以致减少月经液体将从顶面片流开而不流入吸收芯体并被其吸收的可能性。在一个较佳的实施例中,表面活化剂被结合入成形薄膜顶面片的聚合物材料中,如Aziz等人在1991年11月19日申请,题目为“具有非编织和穿孔的薄膜盖面的吸收性制品”的美国专利申请07/794,745中所描述的那样。另外,顶面片的人体表面可以用表面活化剂予以处理使其具有亲水性,如在前面提过的授于Osborn的美国专利第4,950,254号中所描述的那样。
在使用时,卫生巾20可以使用为此目的而设的任何熟知的支托装置或连接装置将其固定就位。卫生巾20最好被放在使用者的内衣或短衬裤内并用一种粘固物,如一种粘接剂38将其固定就位,如图2所示。粘接剂38提供一种使卫生巾20固定在短衬裤的分叉处的装置。在该行业中用于这种目的任何粘接剂或胶粘剂都可以在这里用作粘接剂,而压敏性粘接剂最为理想。适用的粘接剂有由Ohio州Columbus的Century Adhesives Corporation所制造的CenturyA-305-1V;和由New Jersey州Bridgewater的National Starch and ChemicalCompany所制造的Instant Lock34-2823。合适的粘接剂固定物在美国专利第4,917,697号中也有介绍。在卫生巾被安置使用之前,压敏性粘接剂通常由一个可移走的释开衬条所覆盖,以便不使粘接剂干固或在使用前被粘接到短衬裤分叉部份以外的表面上。合适的释开衬条在前面提过的美国专利第4,917,697号中也有描述。任何一种用于此目的的商业可获得的释开衬条都可以用在这里。适合的释开衬条的非限定性例子有BL30MG-A Silox E1/o和BL30MG-A Silox49/0,两者都是由M州Menasha的Akrosil Corporation制造的。本发明卫生巾20被使用时先除去释开衬条39,然后将卫生巾放在短衬裤内使粘接剂贴在短衬裤上。粘接剂38使卫生巾20在使用时保持在短衬裤内的固定位置上。
虽然已说明和描述了本发明的一些具体的实施例,但显然,熟悉本行业的人可以在不偏离本发明的精神和范围内做出各种不同的改变和变更。因此被所附的权利要求书覆盖的所有这些改变和变更都应落入本发明的范围之内。
Claims (15)
1.一种具有一个第一方向和一个与其垂直的第二方向的弹性、三维、能渗透液体的聚合网状片,其特征在于所述网状片具有多个相互连接在所述网状片中形成许多小孔的梁状件,所述梁状件具有一个位于最上层平面上的基本部份和一对从所述基本部份垂挂的侧壁部份,多个所述梁状件具有永久变形部分,当所述网状片处于基本上非张力状态时所述永久变形部分的基本部份处于所述最上层平面的下面,而当所述网状片受到在第一方向上的张力使所述网状片在第一方向上延伸时所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份朝着所述最上层平面上升,而当所述网状片上的张力去除时所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份又回到其处于所述最上层平面下面的非张力位置。
2.如权利要求1所述的聚合网状片,其特征在于至少一部分所述的梁状件沿它们的部份长度基本上是直的。
3.如权利要求1所述的聚合网状片,其特征在于至少一部分所述的梁状件沿它们的整个长度基本上是直的。
4.如权利要求1所述的聚合网状片,其特征在于所述小孔沿它们的长度具有不均匀的横截面。
5.如权利要求1所述的聚合网状片,其特征在于所述小孔在所述第二表面方向上具有减小的横截面,从而促使存积在所述第一表面的所述小孔上的流体很快地被传送至所述第二表面上的对应小孔中,而没有所述流体在相邻小孔之间的横向传送。
6.如权利要求1所述的聚合网状片,其特征在于具有永久变形部分的多个所述梁状件位于所述网状片的预定隔开部份中。
7.如权利要求1所述的聚合网状片,其特征在于所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份在所述网状片在第二方向上受到张力使所述网状片在第二方向上延伸时朝着所述最上层平面上升,而当所述网状片上的张力去除时,所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份又回至处于所述最上层平面下面的非张力位置。
8.一种吸收性制品,它包括一个接触佩用者的顶面片和一个用于吸收体液的吸收单元,所述顶面片包括一个具有第一方向和一个与其垂直的第二方向的弹性三维能渗透液体的聚合网状片,其特征在于所述网状片包括:多个相互连接在网状片中形成多个小孔的梁状件,所述梁状件具有一个在最上层平面上的基本部份和一对从所述基本部份垂挂并接触所述吸收性单元的侧壁部份,多个所述梁状件具有永久变形部分,从而使所述变形部分的所述基本部份当所述网状片处于基本上非张紧状态时位于所述最上层平面的下面,当所述网状片在第一方向上受到张力而使所述网状片朝着第一方向伸展时,所述永久变形部位的所述基本部份就朝着所述最上层平面上升,而当所述网状片上的张力去除时所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份就又回到所述最上层平面下面的非张紧位置。
9.如权利要求8所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于它包括一块能阻止含水流体从中透过并以重叠的关系固定在所述吸收性制品上靠近所述顶面片反面的所述吸收性单元表面的背面片。
10.如权利要求9所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于所述吸收性制品是一种月经用品。
11.如权利要求10所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于所述月经用品是可扩张或可伸长的。
12.如权利要求9所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于所述吸收性制品是一种一次性应用的尿布。
13.如权利要求9所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于所述吸收性制品是可扩张或可伸长的。
14.如权利要求9所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于具有永久变形部分的多个所述梁状件位于所述网状片的预定隔开部份中。
15.如权利要求9所述的吸收性制品,其特征在于所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份当所述网状片在第二方向上受到张力使所述网状片朝第二方向扩伸时朝着所述最上层平面上升,而当所述网状片上的张力去除时,所述永久变形部分的所述基本部份又回至在所述最上层平面下面的非张紧位置。
