Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the field of animal husbandry and particularly relates to application of red onion to treatment of metritis of sows.
Background
The metritis of the sow refers to inflammation caused by infection of the uterus during delivery and postpartum of the sow, is one of main diseases in the reproductive disorder of the sow, has extremely complex etiology and mainly comprises the following components: dystocia, retained placenta, prolapsed uterus, unclean operation during midwifery, rough operation, uterus injury, postpartum infection, incomplete disinfection during artificial insemination, pathogenic bacteria in reproductive organs or semen of boars during natural mating and the like. In addition, sow malnutrition, emaciation, resistance reduction and non-pathogenic bacteria in reproductive tract can also cause sow metritis.
The metritis of the sows can be divided into acute endometritis and chronic endometritis, wherein the acute endometritis is frequently generated after the sows are delivered and are abortive, the symptoms are obvious, the body temperature is raised, the spirit is not vibrating, the appetite is reduced or exhausted, the people are usually helpfully, especially when the sows are just laid down, white mucus or foul-smelling dirty reddish brown mucus or purulent secretion flowing out of the vagina is adhered to the tail part, the smelling of the mucus is bad, and sometimes the sows also have abdominal pain symptoms; chronic endometritis is mostly converted from untimely treatment of acute endometritis, sow symptoms are not obvious, a small amount of turbid mucus is discharged from the vagina periodically, the estrus is delayed or abnormal, and even if the estrus is regularly released, infertility is caused.
The metritis of the sows is an important problem which troubles the pig raising in a large-scale pig farm, and the sows tend to spread gradually in recent years, and the incidence rate is usually about 20 percent, and can reach more than 40 percent in some cases. The existing treatment modes are generally as follows:
(1) in the acute postpartum period, inflammatory secretion accumulated in the uterus of the sow is firstly removed, the uterus is washed by 1 percent saline or 0.02 percent benzalkonium bromide solution, 0.1 percent potassium permanganate solution and 0.2 percent furazolidone solution, then the residual solution is completely discharged until the discharged washing solution is completely transparent, and finally 100ml of metritis-eliminating agent is injected into the uterus;
(2) systemic therapy: intramuscular injection is carried out for 2 times a day by using 40-80 million IU of antibiotic and 100 million IU of streptomycin, when aureomycin or oxytetracycline hydrochloride is used, sow weight is 40mg per kilogram, intramuscular injection is carried out for 2 times a day, sulfadiazine sodium is 0.05-0.1g per kilogram, and intramuscular injection or intravenous injection is carried out for 2 times a day;
(3) for chronic endometritis, penicillin 20-40 ten thousand IU and streptomycin 100 ten thousand IU are deeply injected into uterus in 20ml of high-pressure sterilized vegetable oil, and pituitrin 20-40 ten thousand IU is injected subcutaneously to promote uterine contraction and discharge intraluminal inflammatory secretion.
The treatment method uses a large amount of antibiotics, has high treatment cost and a large number of side effects, and the sows can generate drug resistance after being used, and piglets produced by the sows after being used with the antibiotics also can generate drug resistance, so that the health of the piglets is not facilitated. Therefore, pig farm feeders and the related technicians are always searching for a method for treating the metritis of the sow, which can be simple and effective and can not generate drug resistance.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the problems, the inventor finds that the sow metritis can be effectively treated by adding the red onion into the feed in the feeding process of the sow suffering from the sow metritis through repeated experiments, and the feed is low in dosage, good in taste, quick in effect taking and free of obvious side effects.

It is used for treating hematemesis, hemoptysis, dysentery, amenorrhea and abdominal pain, rheumatalgia, and traumatic injury, and has effects of clearing heat, cooling blood, promoting blood circulation, dredging channels, relieving swelling and removing toxic substance. The folk herbal medicine can be used for treating menorrhagia, metrorrhagia, epistaxis, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, traumatic hemorrhage, dysentery, rheumatic arthralgia, traumatic injury, arthralgia, dizziness, palpitation, chest distress, and general fatigue. According to modern pharmacological research, the red onion has various pharmacological activities of reducing blood fat, reducing blood sugar, resisting oxidation, resisting mutagenesis, resisting bacteria, increasing coronary blood flow, inhibiting HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), inhibiting human topoisomerase II and the like. However, according to the current data research, no research report on the treatment of metritis by red onion is found.
The inventor selects the required medicinal materials from a large amount of Chinese medicinal materials and finds that the red onion has unique effect on treating the metritis of the sow through repeated experiments, and the red onion can realize the effects of resisting bacteria and diminishing inflammation, promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, expelling toxin and pus, and tonifying middle-jiao and Qi as a single medicament, thereby realizing the effect of effectively treating the metritis of the sow. In addition, the red onion can be planted in a large area, the cost is low, most importantly, the sow suffering from the metritis can not generate drug resistance after taking the red onion, and piglets born by the sow taking the red onion can not generate the drug resistance.
Preferably, in the above use, the amount of red onion is 0.1-0.5 g per kg body weight of the sow, 2-4 times per day, preferably 0.15-0.4 g per kg body weight of the sow, 2-4 times per day, more preferably 0.17-0.32 g per kg body weight of the sow, 2-4 times per day.
