Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种印刷电路板(PCB)和连接器管脚,以及更特别地涉及在不使用排针(pin header)的情况下将管脚直接连接至PCB的能力。
背景技术
参照图1,典型的PCB 10包括塑料排针12,该塑料排针12具有以90°角弯折的管脚14。排针12波焊至PCB 10以形成90°的连接件。PCB 10容纳在通常由塑料制成的壳体16中。可想到的是使用回流焊接工艺以便将管脚14焊接至PCB 10。然而,由于回流焊接工艺涉及经过烤炉的部件,所以除非对于该工艺进行特定设计,否则塑料排针12将熔化。
因此,需要在不使用排针的情况下将管脚直接地连接至PCB。
发明内容
本发明的目标在于实现上述需求。根据实施例的原理,该目标通过提供包括具有端部的印刷电路板(PCB)的印刷电路板组件而实现。该端部包括在该端部中限定多个导电凹口的表面。多个导电管脚设置有以压配合的方式容纳在相关联的凹口中的每个管脚以便与PCB形成电连接。
根据实施例的另一方面,一种方法将管脚连接至印刷电路板。该方法在印刷电路板(PCB)的端部设置多个导电凹口。多个导电管脚被设置以使得每个管脚与相关联的凹口对准。移动PCB或多个管脚以使得每个管脚以压配合的方式接合相关联的凹口以便与PCB形成电连接。

具体实施方式
参照图2,根据实施例,总地以11表示的印刷电路板(PCB)组件被示出。组件11包括PCB 10′,该PCB 10′具有在插入至壳体16′中的PCB 10′的一侧上的PCB 10′的端部20中限定了多个槽或凹口18的表面。每个凹口18是导电的以便一旦与总地以14′表示的相关联的导电管脚连接则向PCB供电。
总地以14’表示的多个导电管脚以模制或压配合的方式安装至壳体16’。每个管脚14’能够是独立管脚,该独立管脚随后模制或压配合至壳体16’中以便与相关联的凹口18对准。该构造消除了对于图1的排针12的需求。每个管脚14’具有连接部分22和接合部分24,连接部分22被构造并设置成与相匹配的电连接器(未示出)连接,接合部分24优选地被设置成相对于连接部分22成大体上90°。当PCB 10’在图2中箭头A的方向上移动时,每个接合部分24以压配合的方式容纳在PCB 10’中的相关联的凹口18中并与该凹口18接合,如图3和图4中所示。管脚14’至PCB 10’的压配合区域不需要很大的力,只要形成了电连接,因为壳体16’和覆盖件(未示出)将阻碍PCB 10’移动。当电连接器(未示出)被插入至连接器壳体26中时,应力不再转移至PCB 10’,因为管脚14’由壳体16’保持。
利用模制或装配至壳体16’中并以压配合的方式与PCB 10’接合的管脚14’,能够节省PCB 10’上的空间。此外,能够消除现有技术构造的塑料排针以及加工排针的成本。
尽管管脚14’被示出为以90°的度数弯折(参照图6),但是管脚14”能够是直管脚,与连接部分22相对的端部限定了每个管脚14”的接合部分24。因此,连接部分22和接合部分24均在相同的轴线B上。直管脚14”将需要成本较低的冲压。
参照图5,代替于PCB 10’沿着纵轴线C滑动至壳体中,PCB 10’能够被向下(在横向于纵轴线C的方向上)压至壳体16’中以便接合管脚14’。在另一实施例中,替代于将管脚14’设置在壳体16’中,管脚14’能够被视为被插入至连接器壳体26中的电连接器(未示出)的一部分,使得一旦插入其中,电连接器的管脚以上面描述的方式接合凹口18。
为了说明本发明的结构和功能原理的目的以及为了说明应用优选实施例的方法的目的已经示出并描述了前述优选实施例,并且在不脱离这些原理的情况下可以对这些优选实施例做出改变。因此,本发明包括落在下列权利要求的精神内的所有修改例。
Claims (19)
1.一种印刷电路板组件,包括:
印刷电路板(PCB),所述印刷电路板具有端部,所述端部包括在所述端部中限定多个导电凹口的表面;以及
多个导电管脚,多个管脚中的每一个以压配合的方式容纳在多个凹口中的相关联的凹口中以便与所述PCB形成电连接。
2.根据权利要求1所述的组件,其中,所述多个管脚中的每一个管脚固定至壳体,每个管脚包括连接部分和接合部分,所述连接部分被构造并设置成与相匹配的电连接器连接,所述接合部分与所述相关联的凹口接合。
3.根据权利要求3所述的组件,其中,所述接合部分被设置成相对于所述连接部分成大体上90°。
4.根据权利要求2所述的组件,其中,所述连接部分和所述接合部分在相同的轴线上。
5.根据权利要求3所述的组件,其中,所述多个管脚中的每一个管脚被压配合至所述壳体中。
6.根据权利要求3所述的组件,其中,所述多个管脚中的每一个管脚被模制至所述壳体中。
7.一种印刷电路板组件,包括:
印刷电路板(PCB),所述印刷电路板具有端部,所述端部包括在所述端部中限定多个导电凹口的表面;
多个导电管脚,多个管脚中的每一个以压配合的方式容纳在多个凹口中的相关联的凹口中以便与所述PCB形成电连接;以及
壳体,所述壳体容纳所述PCB,所述多个管脚安装至所述壳体。
8.根据权利要求7所述的组件,其中,所述多个管脚中的每一个管脚被压配合至所述壳体中。
9.根据权利要求7所述的组件,其中,所述多个管脚中的每一个管脚被模制至所述壳体中。
10.根据权利要求7所述的组件,其中,所述多个管脚中的每一个管脚包括连接部分和接合部分,所述连接部分被构造并设置成与相匹配的电连接器连接,所述接合部分与所述相关联的凹口接合。
11.根据权利要求10所述的组件,其中,所述接合部分被设置成相对于所述连接部分成大体上90°。
12.一种将管脚连接至印刷电路板的方法,所述方法包括下列步骤:
在印刷电路板(PCB)的端部中设置多个导电凹口;
设置多个导电管脚以使得每个管脚与相关联的凹口对准;以及
使所述PCB或多个管脚移动以使得每个管脚以压配合的方式与所述相关联的凹口接合以便与所述PCB形成电连接。
13.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,设置所述多个管脚的步骤包括将所述管脚安装至壳体。
14.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,移动的步骤包括使所述PCB相对于所述壳体移动。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中,使PCB移动的步骤包括使PCB沿着所述PCB的纵向轴线滑动至与所述管脚接合。
16.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中,使PCB移动的步骤包括使PCB在横向于所述PCB的纵向轴线的方向上移动至与所述管脚接合。
17.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,移动的步骤包括使所述管脚移动至与所述凹口接合。
18.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,安装步骤包括将所述管脚压配合至所述壳体中。
19.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,安装步骤包括将所述管脚模制至所述壳体中。
