技术领域

背景技术
近年来,对环境友好型能源的开发的关注已经增加。将电池用作电源的纯电动车辆、将电池用作能量缓冲器的发动机混合动力车辆以及燃料电池混合动力车辆等也已经在车辆领域密集地被开发。
在上文描述的混合动力车辆中,在确定车辆的质量或实用性中,电池系统是主要构件中的一个构件。混合动力车辆的电池系统是车辆的电源,该电源在车辆的行驶期间辅助发动机的输出或者辅助积聚在电池中所产生的能量,并且用于控制和监控电池系统的技术非常重要。
用于控制电池系统的技术包括电源控制技术、冷却技术、诊断技术、估计电池的充电状态(SOC)等的技术。其中,估计电池的SOC的技术直接用于确定车辆的行驶策略的目的。

另外,电池基于使用环境或使用周期发生退化,使得电池的可用容量降低或电池的电阻增加。因此,与较新的电池的作为电池的性能的健康状态(下文称作“SOH”)相比,健康状态发生退化。
也就是说,当前电池系统仅基于电池的估计的SOC和电压来进行充电或放电,因此,需要一种基于电池的退化状态来限制电池的使用范围、输出等的技术。

根据本发明的示例性实施例,一种用于控制电池的输出的方法可以包括:测量车辆的电池的充电状态(SOC)或电阻;将电池的退化程度与设定的退化程度进行比较;和当电池的退化程度大于设定的退化程度时,控制电池的温度、电池的平均输出以及电池的负载模式。
控制电池的温度的步骤可以包括:将电池的温度与设定的温度进行比较;且当电池的温度大于设定的温度时,冷却电池。

图1是描述根据本发明的示例性实施例的基于电池的退化来控制电池的输出的方法的流程图。
参考图1,电池控制系统可以基于电池的退化程度来控制电池的输出。
首先,电池控制系统可以测量电池的充电状态(SOC)或在电池中产生的电阻(S100)。
接着,电池控制系统可以基于所测量的电池的SOC或电阻来判定电池的退化程度(S110)。也就是说,电池控制系统可以通过将所测量的电池的SOC的变化率与设定的电池的SOC的变化率来判定电池的退化程度进行比较。
接着,电池控制系统可以比较实时判定的电池的退化程度与设定的退化程度(基准退化程度)(S120)。
这里,可以基于电池的寿命来判定设定的电池退化程度,且可以使用反映车辆的行驶距离和行驶时间的电池退化图(battery deterioratin map)来计算设定的电池退化程度。
详细地说,电池控制系统可以基于通过车辆的行驶距离的电池退化图所计算出的退化程度来计算车辆可行驶的剩余行驶距离,且可以基于通过车辆的行驶时间的电池退化图所计算出的退化程度来计算车辆可行驶的剩余行驶时间。
接着,当电池的退化程度大于设定的退化程度时,电池控制系统可以确认电池的温度(S130)。
接着,当电池的温度大于设定的温度(基准温度或极限温度)时,电池控制系统可以将电池冷却至低于一般冷却温度的温度(S140和S150),该温度可以是预设的温度。
接着,在将电池的温度调整至较低温度、或冷却或预设的温度之后,电池控制系统可以减小用于对电池进行充电或放电的接通或断开模式的电压范围(S160)。
也就是说,电池控制系统可以在电池的充电或放电控制模式下减小电池的电压范围,以便在低压直流DC到DC转换器(LDC)的接通或断开操作时使燃料效率的效果最大化。
接着,当在步骤140中电池的温度低于设定的温度(基准温度或限制温度或冷却温度)时,电池控制系统可以确认在预先确定的时间(设定时间)内电池的平均输出(平均输出值)(S170)。
这里,可以通过利用在将来自电池的输出提供到电负载时的最大输出值和最小输出值来计算电池的平均输出。
接着,电池控制系统可以比较电池的平均输出与设定输出(基准输出或限制输出),且当电池的平均输出小于设定输出时,通过利用全球定位系统(GPS)来确认车辆的速度和车辆的负载(S180和S190)。
接着,当电池的平均输出大于设定输出,或车辆的速度和车辆的负载处于高负载模式时,电池控制系统可以限制电池的输出,且减小用于对电池进行充电或放电的接通或断开模式的电压范围(S200到S220)。
此处,车辆的速度和车辆的负载处于高负载模式的情况可意味着包括以下情况的车辆行驶条件:车辆快速加速的情况、车辆快速减速的情况,或在车辆的电负载中产生较大输出的情况。
此处,即使电池的输出由于电池的退化而受到限制,设置在车辆中的各种控制器或其它部件,例如连接到用于驱动电动机的逆变器的LDC或交流发电机,也可以输出电压。
如上文所描述,根据本发明的示例性实施例,使电池的使用量最大化,由此使得有能够提高车辆的燃料或能源效率。
另外,根据本发明的示例性实施例,在监控电池的状态和退化要素后,调整电池的温度并限制电池的使用范围,以便调整电池的退化速度,由此使得能够确保增加电池的耐久性。
另外,根据本发明的示例性实施例,电池的退化或退化率减小,由此使得能够减小驾驶员更换电池或修复电池所需的花费。
在上文中,尽管已经参考示例性实施例和附图描述了本发明,但本发明并不限于此,而是可以在不脱离所附权利要求书中所要求的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,本发明所属领域的技术人员可以进行多种修改和变更。

Claims (9)

1.一种用于控制电池的输出的方法,包括下述步骤:
测量车辆的电池的充电状态(SOC)或电阻;
比较所述电池的退化程度与设定的退化程度;以及
当所述电池的退化程度大于设定的退化程度时,控制所述电池的温度、所述电池的平均输出以及所述电池的负载模式。
2.根据权利要求1所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中控制所述电池的温度的步骤包括:
比较所述电池的温度与设定的温度;以及
当所述电池的温度大于设定的温度时,冷却所述电池。
3.根据权利要求1所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中控制所述电池的平均输出的步骤包括:
比较所述电池的平均输出与设定的输出;以及
当所述电池的平均输出大于设定的输出时,限制所述电池的输出。
4.根据权利要求1所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中控制所述电池的负载模式的步骤包括:
利用所述车辆的全球定位系统(GPS)来确认所述车辆的速度和所述车辆的负载;
判定所述车辆的速度和所述车辆的负载是否处于高负载模式;以及
当所述车辆的速度和所述车辆的负载处于所述高负载模式时,限制所述电池的输出。
5.根据权利要求3所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中在限制所述电池的输出的步骤之后,调节用于对所述电池进行充电或放电的所述电池的电压范围。
6.根据权利要求1所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中在比较所述电池的退化程度与设定的退化程度的步骤中,基于所述电池的寿命来判定所述电池的退化程度,且利用反映所述车辆的行驶距离和行驶时间的电池退化图来计算所述电池的退化程度。
7.根据权利要求5所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中在所述限制所述电池的输出的步骤之后,通过低压直流(DC)到DC转换器(LDC)或交流发电机来输出电压。
8.根据权利要求1所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中通过比较测量的所述电池的SOC的变化率与设定的所述电池的SOC的变化率,判定所述电池的退化程度。
9.根据权利要求4所述的用于控制电池的输出的方法,其中在所述限制所述电池的输出的步骤之后,调节用于对所述电池进行充电或放电的所述电池的电压范围。
