Abstract

Referring to fig. 1, a terminal device 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown, where the terminal device 10 includes, but is not limited to, a mobile phone, a tablet computer, and the like.
As shown in fig. 2, the terminal device 10 includes a display module 20. The display module 20 may include a display screen 22. The display screen 22 includes a display area and a non-display area. The non-display area is provided with a flexible circuit board 221, and the flexible circuit board 221 is located on an inner side surface of the display screen 22, that is, on a side close to a main board (not shown) of the terminal device 10. The flexible circuit board 221 is connected to the motherboard to realize signal transmission between the display screen 22 and the motherboard.
As shown in fig. 2, a touch cover 21 is further disposed on an outer side surface of the display module 20, so that the display module 20 has a touch display function. The touch cover 21 is disposed on the display screen 22.
As shown in fig. 2, the display module 20 further includes a fingerprint chip 23, and the fingerprint chip 23 and the flexible circuit board 221 are disposed on an inner side of the display screen 22 side by side and located in the display area. The fingerprint chip 23 may be attached to the inner side of the display 22 by an adhesive film. The adhesive film attaching mode is reliable in connection and simple in process. In other embodiments, the fingerprint chip 23 may be connected to the inner side of the display 22 in other ways.
As shown in fig. 3, a lead 232 is led out from the end of the fingerprint chip 23, and the lead 232 is lapped on the flexible circuit board 221 to electrically connect the fingerprint chip 23 and the flexible circuit board 221. Therefore, the fingerprint chip 23 is switched to the mainboard through the flexible circuit board 221, and signal transmission with the mainboard is realized. The leads 232 may be gold wires. The gold wire has high conductivity, good corrosion resistance, toughness and oxidation resistance, and is favorable for the reliability of electric connection. Of course, other conductive materials, such as conductive films, can be selected according to actual needs.

Further, as shown in fig. 3, a groove 231 is formed on the fingerprint chip 23, and the lead 232 is led out from the bottom of the groove 231. The design of the groove 231 can enable the leading-out position of the lead 232 to move downwards, so that the lead 232 is prevented from protruding out of the surface of the fingerprint chip 23 to cause interference with other devices, and the influence on the thickness of a product can be further reduced. The shape and/or position of the groove 231 is designed according to actual needs, and is not limited to that shown in fig. 3. In other embodiments, the groove 231 may not be provided.
Further, the fingerprint chip 23 in this embodiment may be a bare chip. The bare chip refers to a chip unit cut from a scribed wafer, and is a chip that is not packaged. The bare chip is thinner than a conventionally packaged chip. Thus, the use of a bare chip further reduces the overall thickness of the product.
Further, as shown in fig. 4, in order to protect the electrical connection between the fingerprint chip 23 and the flexible circuit board 221, the leads 232 are encapsulated by an encapsulation layer 233, i.e., the leads 232 are wrapped in the encapsulation layer 233. The material of the encapsulation layer 233 includes but is not limited to EMC (Epoxy Molding Compound).
