Description

印刷系统及图像形成装置
本申请是申请日为2015年12月25日、优先权日为2015年03月16日、申请号为201510995909.X、名称为“印刷系统、图像形成装置及印刷文件的印刷方法”的发明专利申请的分案申请,其全部内容结合于此作为参考。
技术领域
本发明涉及不使用用于共享印刷文件的专用服务器而任一图像形成装置都能印刷印刷文件的印刷系统。
背景技术
存在不使用用于共享印刷文件的专用服务器而任一图像形成装置都能印刷印刷文件的印刷系统。在这种印刷系统中,以往,当印刷印刷文件时,首先,用户的客户端将印刷文件发送至网络上的所有图像形成装置。接着,用户走到任一图像印刷装置处,选择想要印刷的印刷文件,并使图像形成装置印刷印刷文件。
然而,在以往的印刷系统中,图像形成装置会保持多个印刷文件,从而给图像形成装置造成负担。另外,在以往的印刷系统中还存在以下问题:由于各客户端将印刷文件发送至网络上的所有图像形成装置,因此给网络造成负担。
发明内容
实施方式的印刷系统包括经由网络连接至所述印刷系统的客户端和均具有接收用户的操作输入的操作部的多个图像形成装置,其中,第一图像形成装置在能够印刷状态下从所述客户端接收印刷文件,并且将所述印刷文件发送至第二图像形成装置,所述第二图像形成装置显示等待印刷的印刷文件的列表,并且当通过所述操作部接收到期望的印刷文件的选择和印刷指示时基于所述印刷文件进行印刷。
实施方式的图像形成装置经由网络与客户端和其它图像形成装置连接,其中,当所述图像形成装置在能够印刷状态下从所述客户端接收到印刷文件时,所述图像形成装置将所述印刷文件发送至其它图像形成装置,以及所述图像形成装置在所述其它图像形成装置印刷了所述印刷文件之后从所述其它图像形成装置接收所述其它图像形成装置已印刷所述印刷文件的通知。

具体实施方式
下面,参照附图对实施方式进行说明。
图1是印刷系统100的框图。
印刷系统100具备客户端1和多个图像形成装置2A~2D。客户端1和多个图像形成装置2A~2D经由网络9相互连接而能够通信。
客户端1是例如PC(Personal Computer:个人计算机)。客户端1具备CPU 11(Central Processing Unit:中央处理器)、存储器12、显示器13、以及操作部14。操作部14是键盘或鼠标、触摸面板等,受理用户的操作。
图像形成装置2A~2D是例如具有印刷、FAX等多个功能的MFP(多功能外围设备:Multi-Function Peripheral)。图像形成装置2A~2D具备CPU 21、存储器22、显示器23、以及操作部24。操作部24是键盘或鼠标、触摸面板等,受理用户的操作。
在各图像形成装置2A~2D中设定作为一个组进行协作的图像形成装置2A~2D。例如,在图像形成装置2A中设定协作的图像形成装置2B~2D的互联网通信协议地址(Internet Protocol Address)、主机名(Host Name)。同样,在图像形成装置2B中设定协作的图像形成装置2A、2C、2D。这样,在协作的各个图像形成装置2A~2D中预先设定成为一组的图像形成装置2A~2D。
通过CPU 11、21读取存储器11、22内的程序,客户端1和图像形成装置2A~2D执行下文所述的各处理。
印刷系统100首先进行注册处理,以将用户A想要印刷的印刷文件81在各图像形成装置2A~2D中进行注册。下面,对印刷系统100执行的注册处理进行说明。
客户端1安装有图像形成装置2A的打印机驱动程序。若受理用户A的印刷操作,则客户端1通过打印机驱动程序将印刷文件81发送至图像形成装置2A。
印刷文件81包含图像数据和元数据811。元数据811是指定图像数据或者设定印刷方法的数据。元数据811包含作为元数据811的发送源的图像形成装置的识别信息、印刷文件81的识别信息、印刷文件81的文件名或页数、印刷份数等,构成印刷文件一览的任务列表。印刷文件81通过打印机驱动程序将用户想要印刷的文件转换成PDL(Page DescriptionLanguage:页面描述语言)文件而得到。印刷文件81也可以通过打印机驱动程序或应用程序将用户想要印刷的文件转换成XML(Extensible Markup Language:可扩展标记语言)文件、XPS(XML Paper Specification:XML文本规格)文件、PDF(Portable Document Format:可移植文档格式)文件而得到。
下面,参照图1和图2的流程图,以图像形成装置2A的处理为中心对注册处理进行说明。
图像形成装置2A从客户端1接收印刷文件81,并将印刷文件81以等待印刷的状态保存在存储器12中(动作1)。
图像形成装置2A判断印刷文件81的容量是否处于预先设定的阈值以上(动作2)。
当印刷文件81的容量不足阈值时(动作2:否),图像形成装置2A将印刷文件81发送至其它所有的图像形成装置2B~2D(动作3)。
当印刷文件81的容量在阈值以上时(动作2:是),图像形成装置2A保持印刷文件81(动作4)。
图像形成装置2A将印刷文件81的元数据811发送至其它图像形成装置2B~2D(动作5)。元数据811包含作为元数据811的发送源的图像形成装置2A的识别信息。其它图像形成装置2B~2D在任务列表中添加等待印刷的印刷文件81。这样,客户端1和图像形成装置2A~2D实现任务列表同步。
下面,对印刷系统100在上述注册处理后执行的印刷处理进行说明。下面,设用户准备印刷的印刷文件81的容量为阈值以上。另外,设印刷文件81保持在图像形成装置2A中。设在其它图像形成装置2B~2D中仅发送有印刷文件81的元数据811。
首先,参照图3和图4,对当用户A通过具有印刷文件81的图像形成装置2A进行印刷时印刷系统100执行的印刷处理进行说明。图4的流程图示出图像形成装置2A的处理的流程。
用户A走到图像形成装置2A处,操作操作部24,使任务列表显示在图像形成装置2A上(动作11)。
在本例中,用户A从任务列表中选择印刷文件81,给出印刷印刷文件81的指示(动作12)。图像形成装置2A印刷印刷文件81(动作13)。图像形成装置2A通知客户端1和其它图像形成装置2B~2D已印刷印刷文件81。图像形成装置2A将已印刷的印刷文件81的状态从等待印刷变更为印刷完毕,并删除印刷文件81(动作14)。客户端1和其它图像形成装置2B~2D将进行了印刷的印刷文件81的状态变更为印刷完毕,使任务列表与图像形成装置2A同步。
接着,参照图5和图6,对当用户A通过图像形成装置2B印刷印刷文件81时印刷系统100执行的印刷处理进行说明。该例可考虑虽然用户A计划在图像形成装置2A上进行印刷并将印刷文件81发送给了图像形成装置2A,但其它用户B正在使用图像形成装置2A的情况。图6的流程图示出图像形成装置2B的处理的流程。
用户A走到图像形成装置2B处,操作操作部24,使表示印刷文件81的状态为等待印刷的任务列表显示在图像形成装置2B上(动作21)。用户A选择图像形成装置2B仅保持有元数据811的印刷文件81,给出印刷印刷文件81的指示(动作22)。
图像形成装置2B基于元数据811的识别信息而检出作为发送源的图像形成装置2A。图像形成装置2B通过向作为发送源的图像形成装置2A通知包含于元数据811的文件名,而进行印刷文件81的发送请求(动作23)。
图像形成装置2B从图像形成装置2A接收印刷文件81(动作24)。这时,图像形成装置2A删除印刷文件81。
图像形成装置2B印刷印刷文件81(动作25)。
图像形成装置2B通知客户端1和其它图像形成装置2A、2C、2D已印刷印刷文件81。图像形成装置2B将已印刷的印刷文件81的状态变更为印刷完毕,并删除印刷文件81(动作26)。客户端1和其它图像形成装置2A、2C、2D将进行了印刷的印刷文件81的状态变更为印刷完毕,使任务列表与图像形成装置2B同步。
需要说明的是,在本实施方式中示出了用户A将印刷文件81发送至图像形成装置2A的例子,但对于将印刷文件81发送至构成一组的其它图像形成装置2B~2D中任一个的情况,也可以执行相同的操作。
也可以是,用户通过客户端1和图像形成装置2A~2D登录印刷系统100后再操作各装置1、2A~2D。也可以是,各装置1、2A~2D针对每个用户制作任务列表,并使每个用户的任务列表同步。
如上所述,根据本说明书中记载的技术,能够提供不使用用于共享印刷文件的专用服务器而任一图像形成装置都能印刷印刷文件的印刷系统。
虽然说明了几个实施方式,但这些实施方式只是作为示例而提出的,并非旨在限定发明的范围。这些实施方式能够以其它各种方式进行实施,能够在不脱离发明的宗旨的范围内进行各种省略、替换、变更。这些实施方式及其变形被包括在发明的范围和宗旨中,同样地被包括在权利要求书所记载的发明及其均等的范围内。

Claims (8)

1.一种印刷系统,包括:
经由网络连接至所述印刷系统的客户端;以及
均具有接收用户的操作输入的操作部的多个图像形成装置,其中,
第一图像形成装置在能够印刷状态下从所述客户端接收印刷文件,并且将所述印刷文件发送至第二图像形成装置,
所述第二图像形成装置显示等待印刷的印刷文件的列表,并且当通过所述操作部接收到期望的印刷文件的选择和印刷指示时基于所述印刷文件进行印刷。
2.根据权利要求1所述的印刷系统,其中,
当所述第一图像形成装置接收到具有小于阈值的容量的印刷文件时,所述第一图像形成装置将所述印刷文件发送至所述第二图像形成装置。
3.根据权利要求1所述的印刷系统,其中,
所述第二图像形成装置在印刷了所述印刷文件之后通知所述第一图像形成装置所述印刷文件已印刷。
4.一种图像形成装置,经由网络与客户端和其它图像形成装置连接,
其中,
当所述图像形成装置在能够印刷状态下从所述客户端接收到印刷文件时,所述图像形成装置将所述印刷文件发送至其它图像形成装置,以及
所述图像形成装置在所述其它图像形成装置印刷了所述印刷文件之后从所述其它图像形成装置接收所述其它图像形成装置已印刷所述印刷文件的通知。
5.根据权利要求4所述的图像形成装置,其中,
当所述图像形成装置接收到具有小于阈值的容量的印刷文件时,所述图像形成装置将所述印刷文件发送至所述其它图像形成装置。
6.一种图像形成装置,包括接收用户的操作输入的操作部,并经由网络与客户端和其它图像形成装置连接,
当其它图像形成装置在能够印刷状态下从所述客户端接收到印刷文件时,所述图像形成装置从所述其它图像形成装置接收所述印刷文件,
所述图像形成装置显示等待印刷的印刷文件的列表,并且当通过所述操作部接收到期望的印刷文件的选择和印刷指示时基于从所述其它图像形成装置接收到的所述印刷文件进行印刷。
7.根据权利要求6所述的图像形成装置,其中,
当所述其它图像形成装置从所述客户端接收到具有小于阈值的容量的所述印刷文件时,所述图像形成装置从所述其它图像形成装置接收所述印刷文件。
8.根据权利要求6所述的图像形成装置,其中,
所述图像形成装置在印刷所述印刷文件之后通知所述其它图像形成装置所述印刷文件已印刷。
