Abstract

本发明公开了一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体、承载于绝缘本体的导电端子及包围在绝缘本体外侧的金属壳体,所述绝缘本体包括沿前后方向延伸的对接舌板及设置在对接舌板下方的支撑舌板,所述导电端子包括暴露在对接舌板的接触部及固持于绝缘本体的尾部,所述金属外壳包括上侧壁、下侧壁及两相对的端壁,所述下侧壁与两端壁分别贴覆在支撑舌板的外侧,使得所述上侧壁与支撑舌板的内侧共同形成一对接腔,所述对接舌板位于对接腔内。本发明电连接器由绝缘本体和金属外壳配合形成对接腔从而更易于操作。

电连接器
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种由绝缘本体与金属外壳配合形成对接腔的电连接器。
【背景技术】
传统的USB Type A连接器广泛地应用于计算机领域,其包括绝缘本体及包围所述绝缘本体的金属外壳,所述绝缘本体设有向前延伸的对接舌板,所述金属外壳围设形成用以收容对接连接器的对接腔。另外,一些双端口层迭的电连接器组合中,所述绝缘本体设有间隔部以间隔所述上端口与下端口,所述间隔部设有延伸入端口内的弹片以与对接连接器连接。显而易见,相较于外壳弯折形成对接腔,绝缘本体围设形成的对接腔更易于操作。
基于上述现有技术的缺陷,确有必要提供一种改进的电连接器以满足上述要求。
【发明内容】
本发明所要解决的技术问题在于:提供一种由绝缘本体与金属外壳配合形成对接腔的电连接器。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明可采用如下技术方案:
一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体、承载于绝缘本体的导电端子及包围在绝缘本体外侧的金属壳体,所述绝缘本体包括沿前后方向延伸的对接舌板及设置在对接舌板下方的支撑舌板,所述导电端子包括暴露在对接舌板的接触部及固持于绝缘本体的尾部,所述金属外壳包括上侧壁、下侧壁及两相对的端壁,所述下侧壁与两端壁分别贴覆在支撑舌板的外侧,使得所述上侧壁与支撑舌板的内侧共同形成一对接腔,所述对接舌板位于对接腔内。
与现有技术相比,本发明由绝缘本体与金属外壳配合形成对接腔从而便于操作。

如下具体实施方式将结合上述附图进一步说明本发明。
【具体实施方式】
参图1至图11所示,本发明公开了一种安装于印刷电路板(未图标)的电连接器100,其包括绝缘本体120、承载于绝缘本体120的导电端子及包覆于绝缘本体120的金属外壳160。所述绝缘本体120包括上下组装配合的基座122及支撑件142。所述基座122包括基部124及自基部124向前延伸的对接舌板126。所述支撑件142包括本体部144及自本体部144向前延伸而成的支撑舌板146。所述对接舌板126位于所述支撑舌板146的上方。
所述导电端子包括第一端子130及第二端子131,所述基座122设有若干第一端子槽128,所述第一端子130收容于第一端子槽128内。所述第一端子130包括突伸入对接腔150内的第一接触部132及第一尾部134,所述本体部144设有通孔148,所述第一尾部134向下穿过通孔148以固持第一端子130。所述基座122通过注塑成型(insert molding)的方式包围于第二端子131并将第二端子131埋设于其内,所述第二端子131包括暴露于对接腔150内的第二接触部133及向下穿过所述通孔148以将第二端子131固持的第二尾部135。
所述基座122的两侧分别设有安装槽129,所述支撑件142对应所述安装槽129处设有与之相互配合的安装肋149,所述安装肋149插入所述安装槽129以将基座122和支撑件142组装在一起。所述基座122的底部还包括一对安装脚127用以与印刷电路板相组装。
所述金属外壳160由金属薄片弯折而成,弯折后形成拼接线161(参图5所示),其包括上侧壁164、下侧壁166及两相对的端壁162。所述下侧壁166与两端壁162分别贴覆于支撑舌板146的外侧,所述金属外壳160上侧壁164与支撑舌板146的内侧共同形成沿前后方向的对接腔150以供外部对接连接器(未图示)插入,所述对接舌板126位于对接腔150内。
所述上侧壁164包括向前延伸的第二弹性件168,所述第二弹性件168与支撑舌板146分别位于对接舌板126的相对两侧且设有自其前端向下冲压形成的第二弹片170。所述下侧壁166包括内开口167及自内开口167内侧缘向前延伸的第一弹性件172,所述第一弹性件172穿过所述支撑舌板146而延伸入对接腔150且其包括自内开口167向前延伸的主体部174、自主体部174两侧分别向上弯折延伸的一对中间部176及自中间部176向后并向上弯折延伸的第一弹片178。所述第一弹片178向后突伸入对接腔150且沿竖直方向可弹性位移,所述第二弹片170向下突伸入对接腔150且沿竖直方向可弹性位移。
所述第一弹性件172的主体部174位于支撑舌板146的下方并向上抵压于所述支撑舌板146,所述支撑舌板146包括位于其前端的导引部151及一对开槽153。所述导引部151是自支撑舌板142上表面向下倾斜的倾斜面,所述导引部151的厚度小于支撑舌板142的厚度。所述开槽153是自支撑舌板146的前端向内部贯穿且贯穿支撑舌板146上、下表面,所述中间部176收容于所述开槽153内且第一弹片178向上突伸入对接腔150。与对接连接器(未图示)对接时,由于第一弹性件172是三段式结构,使得第一弹片178向下偏移并不会影响主体部174,所述主体部174在竖直方向上仍高于金属外壳160的最低面169,从而使得主体部174与外部机壳(未图示)之间不会发生干涉问题。
所述电连接器100还包括安装于绝缘本体120后端的独立后盖180,其包括位于金属外壳160上侧壁164与基座122之间的顶壁182及分别贴附于外壳160两端壁162外侧的两侧壁184。在本实施例中,所述电连接器100是沉板型结构,故所述支撑件142的底部设有一对凸块(未标示)用以与印刷电路板配合安装,所述凸块在竖直方向上位于外壳160最低面169的上侧。由金属外壳160与支撑舌板146共同围设形成的对接腔150可适应不同类型的对接连接器。在传统的USB Type A连接器中,对接腔是由金属外壳围设形成的收容空间。简言之,在传统的USB Type A连接器中,金属外壳限定的收容空间本质上等同于对接腔。而在本发明中,所述收容空间是由所述对接腔150及收容支撑舌板146的额外空间组成,所述金属外壳160限定的收容空间在横向及竖直方向上均大于所述金属外壳160与支撑舌板146围设形成的对接腔150。所述支撑舌板146的两侧设有向上延伸的竖直壁(未标示),所述金属外壳160的两端壁162还设有越过该竖直壁突伸入对接腔150内的屏蔽片(未标示)。相较于传统类型的没有支撑舌板142的电连接器,所述第一弹性件172及屏蔽片的长度均需更长以穿过所述支撑舌板142而突伸入对接腔150内。
相较于现有技术,本发明电连接器100通过第一弹性件172及支撑件142的支撑舌板146,从而在本发明电连接器与对接连接器组装器件保证第一弹性件172的弹性。

Claims (9)

1.一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体、承载于绝缘本体的导电端子及包围在绝缘本体外侧的金属外壳,所述绝缘本体包括沿前后方向延伸的对接舌板及设置在对接舌板下方的支撑舌板,所述导电端子包括暴露在对接舌板的接触部及固持于绝缘本体的尾部,所述金属外壳包括上侧壁、下侧壁及两相对的端壁,其特征在于:所述下侧壁与两端壁分别贴覆在支撑舌板的外侧,使得所述上侧壁与支撑舌板的内侧共同形成一对接腔,所述对接舌板位于对接腔内,所述金属外壳在其下侧壁设有第一弹性件,所述支撑舌板自其前端向后开设有开槽,所述第一弹性件贴靠至所述支撑舌板外侧并设有向内延伸穿过所述开槽进入对接腔的第一弹片。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述下侧壁设有内开口,所述第一弹性件包括自内开口内边缘向前延伸的主体部、自主体部两侧分别向上弯折延伸的中间部及自中间部向上延伸的所述第一弹片,所述第一弹片向后延伸入对接腔。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述主体部位于支撑舌板的下方且向上抵压于支撑舌板,所述支撑舌板设有一对所述开槽,所述中间部收容于开槽内且所述第一弹片向上突伸入对接腔。
4.如权利要求1或3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述支撑舌板的前端设有导引部,所述导引部的厚度小于支撑舌板的厚度。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器还包括位于上侧壁的第二弹性件,所述第二弹性件与支撑舌板分别位于对接舌板的相对两侧,所述第二弹性件设有突伸入对接腔且沿竖直方向可弹性位移的第二弹片。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体包括上下组装配合的基座和支撑件,所述基座包括基部,所述对接舌板是自基部向前延伸而成,所述支撑件设有本体部,所述支撑舌板是自本体部向前延伸而成,所述导电端子的尾部固持于所述本体部。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述基座设有安装槽,所述支撑件对应安装槽处设有安装肋,所述安装肋与所述安装槽相互配合以将绝缘本体固定至支撑件。
8.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器还包括安装于绝缘本体后端的独立后盖,所述后盖包括插入对接腔内且位于金属外壳上侧壁和绝缘本体之间的顶壁及分别贴附于外壳两端壁外侧的两侧壁。
9.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述第二弹性件自上侧壁向前一体延伸而形成。
