参考附图,车辆翻车乘客保护系统50包括乘客保护装置10,装置10相应地包括安全气囊20和至少一根拉带30。安全气囊20包括在展开状态延伸以覆盖车辆100的内部车顶表面70的和/或后部车窗的至少一部分的顶板22。因此,处于展开状态的安全气囊20可以延伸到车辆100的后排座椅中的乘客的头部上方,从而在碰撞——例如翻车事件——期间提供保护。拉带30具有设置用于连接到第一附接点32的第一端31,第一附接点32位于当安全气囊20被展开时其面向车辆内部车顶表面70或一些其他车辆表面——如,车窗66的表面——的表面上。总体上,附接点32不设置在碰撞表面21上。拉带30的第二端33设置用于连接到第二附接点34。
