Description

背景技术

“弹性的”、“弹性体”或“弹性体的”是指材料表现出弹性性能,它们包括如下任何材料,在向其松弛的初始长度施加力时所述材料能够拉伸或伸长至比其初始长度超出10%的伸长长度,并且在释放所施加的力时将基本上回复至大约其初始长度。
如本文所用,术语“接合”包括通过将元件直接附连到其它元件而将该元件直接固定到另一个元件的构型,以及通过将元件附连到一个或多个中间元件,所述中间元件继而附连到其它元件而将该元件间接固定到另一个元件的构型。
“纵向”是指当制品处于展开未收缩状态时,从腰部边缘基本上垂直延伸到吸收制品的纵向相对的腰部边缘的方向,或在双折叠制品中从腰部边缘到裆区的底部,即折叠线的方向。在纵向45度内的方向被认为是“纵向”。“侧向”是指从纵向延伸侧边缘到制品的侧向相对的纵向延伸侧边缘延伸,并且大体与纵向成直角的方向。在侧向45度内的方向被认为是“侧向”。
“径向”是指从转筒中心朝转筒外圆周表面延伸的方向。
术语“基底”用于本文以描述主要是二维(即在XY平面)并且相比于其长度(在X方向上)和宽度(在Y方向上)其厚度(在Z方向上)相对小(即1/10或更小)的材料。基底的非限制性示例包括纤维网、纤维材料的一个或多个层、非织造物、膜和箔诸如聚合物膜或金属箔。这些材料可单独使用或可包括层压在一起的两个或更多个层。因此,纤维网为基底。
术语“非织造材料”在本文中是指采用诸如纺粘法、熔喷法、梳理法等方法由连续(长)丝(纤维)和/或不连续(短)丝(纤维)制成的材料。非织造织物不具有织造长丝或编织长丝图案。
术语“纵向”(MD)在本文中用来指加工过程中材料流的方向。此外,材料的相对放置和移动还可被描述为沿纵向从工艺上游至工艺下游流过工艺。
术语“横向”(CD)在本文中用来指大致垂直于纵向的方向。
术语“裤”(也被称为“训练裤”、“预闭合尿布”、“尿布裤”、“裤型尿布”和“套穿尿布”)在本文中是指一次性吸收制品,其具有被设计用于婴儿和成人穿着者的连续周边腰部开口和连续周边腿部开口。所述裤可被构造成在制品被施用于穿着者之前具有连续或闭合的腰部开口和至少一个连续、闭合的腿部开口。所述裤可通过各种技术来执行,包括但不限于,使用任何可重复扣紧和/或永久性闭合构件(例如,接缝、热粘结、压力焊接、粘合剂、胶粘剂粘结、机械扣件等)将制品的各部分接合在一起。裤可沿制品周边在腰部区域中的任何位置处执行(例如,侧边扣紧或缝合、前腰扣紧或缝合、后腰扣紧或缝合)。
本公开涉及用于制造吸收制品的方法和设备,并且更具体地,涉及在装配吸收制品时,将弹性层压体粘结在一起的方法和设备。如下文更详细地讨论的,本文的方法和设备可被构造成在旋转的转筒和砧辊之间将弹性层压体粘结在一起。所述转筒包括流体喷嘴和压制构件,其中所述压制构件包括限定在横向上延伸的长度的图案表面。因此,第一弹性层压体和第二弹性层压体可在纵向上推进到旋转的转筒上。每个弹性层压体可包括在第一基底层和第二基底层之间延伸的多个弹性股线。第一弹性层压体可定位在第二弹性层压体和转筒之间。将流体加热至足以部分熔融第一和第二弹性层压体的第一基底层和第二基底层的温度。在转筒旋转时,流体喷嘴从转筒径向向外移动并且将受热流体的射流引导到第一和第二弹性层压体上以部分熔融每个弹性层压体的第一基底层的一部分和第二基底层的一部分。然后,流体喷嘴径向向内回缩到转筒中,并且压制构件从转筒向外径向移动,其中图案表面的长度L在横向上横跨第一弹性层压体或第二弹性层压体的多个弹性股线延伸。然后通过在图案表面和砧辊之间压缩,将第一基底层的部分地熔融的部分、拉伸的多个弹性股线,第一和第二弹性层压体的第二基底层的部分地熔融的部分粘结在一起。如下文在装配裤型尿布情况下更详细地讨论的,弹性层压体可以前束带和后束带的形式构造,并且其中所述方法和设备用于在转筒和砧辊之间将前束带和后束带粘结在一起以形成侧缝。
本文的压制构件可不具有多个离散图案表面。相反,图案表面限定在横向上延伸的长度L。因此,图案表面可被构造成形成具有在横向上横跨弹性层压体延伸的长度L的单个连续粘结部。在一些构型中,其中连续的弹性层压体限定在横向上延伸的最大宽度W,并且图案表面的长度L为W的至少30%。如前所提及的,弹性层压体可包括夹在第一和第二基底层之间的弹性股线,其在纵向上延伸,并且沿横向彼此隔开。因此,图案表面可横跨多个弹性股线延伸。因此,当将弹性层压体与图案表面压缩时,第一和第二基底层的部分地熔融的部分彼此之间以及与弹性股线粘结。如下文更详细地讨论,基底层与弹性股线粘结有助于将股线保持在粘结区(诸如尿布的侧缝)中。另外,因为本文的压制构件可不包括多个离散的相对小图案表面,因此粘结基底层的熔融材料较不易聚集和/或堆积在压制构件上。因此,本文的压制构件可需要相对少频率的清洁和/或替换。
如前文所提及,本文所讨论的方法和设备可用来粘结各种类型的基底构型,它们中的一些可用于制造不同类型的吸收制品。为有助于向方法实施例的后续讨论提供附加环境,以下提供呈尿布形式的吸收制品的一般描述,所述尿布包括可根据本文所公开的方法和设备粘结的组件。
图1和2A示出可根据本文所公开的设备和方法装配和折叠的尿布裤100的示例。具体地,图1示出了处于预紧固的构型的尿布裤100的透视图,并且图2A示出了尿布裤100的平面图,其中背向穿着者的尿布的部分朝观察者取向。图1和2A所示的尿布裤100包括基础结构102和环状弹性带104。如下文更详细地讨论的,第一弹性带106和第二弹性带108粘结在一起以形成环状弹性带104。
继续参见图2A,基础结构102包括第一腰区116、第二腰区118和设置在第一和第二腰区中间的裆区120。第一腰区116可被构造为前腰区,并且第二腰区118可被构造为后腰区。在一些实施例中,前腰区、后腰区和裆区各自的长度可为吸收制品100的长度的1/3。尿布100也可包括前腰区116中的侧向延伸的前腰边缘121和后腰区118中的纵向相对且侧向延伸的后腰边缘122。为了为本讨论提供参照系,图2A的尿布100和基础结构102被示出为具有纵向轴线124和侧向轴线126。在一些实施例中,纵向轴线124可延伸穿过前腰边缘121并穿过后腰边缘122。并且侧向轴线126可延伸穿过第一纵向或右侧边缘128并经过基础结构102的第二纵向或左侧边缘130的中点。
如图1和2A所示,尿布裤100可包括内部面向身体的表面132和外部面向衣服的表面134。基础结构102可包括底片136和顶片138。基础结构102也可包括具有吸收芯142的吸收组件140,所述吸收芯设置在顶片138的一部分和底片136之间。如下文所更详述,尿布100也可包括其它特征,诸如腿弹性部件和/或腿箍以增强围绕穿着者腿部的贴合性。
如图2A所示,基础结构102的周边可由以下部分限定:第一纵向侧边128、第二纵向侧边130、设置在第一腰区116中的第一侧向延伸的端边144、和设置在第二腰区118中的第二侧向延伸的端边146。侧边128和侧边130均可在第一端边144和第二端边146之间纵向延伸。如图2A所示,侧向延伸的端边144和146被定位成从前腰区116中的侧向延伸的前腰边缘121和后腰区118中的侧向延伸的后腰边缘122纵向向内。当尿布裤100被穿着在穿着者下体上时,基础结构102的前腰边缘121和后腰边缘122可环绕穿着者腰部的一部分。同时,基础结构侧边128和130可环绕穿着者腿部的至少一部分。并且裆区120一般可被定位在穿着者两腿之间,其中吸收芯142从前腰区116穿过裆区120延伸至后腰区118。
还应当理解,尿布100的一部分或全部也可被制备成侧向可延展的。所述附加延展性可有助于使尿布100在穿着者运动期间适形于穿着者的身体。这种附加延展性也可帮助例如允许包括在延伸之前具有特定尺寸的基础结构102的尿布100的使用者延伸尿布100和/或基础结构102的前腰区116、后腰区118、或这两个腰区,从而提供对具有不同身材大小的穿着者的附加身体覆盖率,即,向个体穿着者定制尿布。只要裆区被延伸到与一个或多个腰区相比相对较小的程度,则一个或多个腰区的此类延伸即可使吸收制品具有大致沙漏形形状,并且在制品被穿着时可赋予其合身的外观。
如先前所提及的,尿布裤100可包括底片136。底片136也可限定基础结构102的外表面134。底片136可为流体(例如,经液、尿液和/或稀便)不可渗透的,并且可由薄的塑料膜制成,但也可使用其它柔性的液体不可渗透的材料。底片136可防止吸收芯中所吸收和容纳的流出物润湿与尿布100接触的制品,诸如床单、睡衣和内衣。底片136也可包括织造材料或非织造材料、聚合物膜诸如聚乙烯或聚丙烯的热塑性膜、和/或多层材料或复合材料,所述多层材料或复合材料包括膜和非织造材料(例如,具有内膜层和外非织造层)。底片也可包括弹性体膜。一种示例性底片140可为具有约0.012mm(0.5mils)至约0.051mm(2.0mils)厚度的聚乙烯膜。示例性聚乙烯膜由Clopay Corporation(Cincinnati,Ohio)以命名BR-120和BR-121制造,并且由Tredegar Film Products(Terre Haute,Ind.)以命名XP-39385制造。底片136还可压花和/或哑光装饰以提供更像布的外观。此外,底片136还可允许蒸汽从吸收芯中逸出(即,底片为可透气的),同时仍然防止流出物穿透底片136。底片136的尺寸可取决于吸收芯142的尺寸和/或尿布100的特定构型或尺寸。
同样如上所述,尿布裤100可包括顶片138。顶片138也可限定基础结构102的内表面132的全部或一部分。顶片138可为顺应性的、感觉柔软的,并且对穿着者的皮肤无刺激性。其可沿一个或两个方向弹性拉伸。此外,顶片138还可为液体可透过的,从而允许液体(例如,经液、尿液和/或稀便)穿透其厚度。顶片138可由范围广泛的材料制成,诸如织造材料和非织造材料;开孔或液压成型的热塑性膜;开孔非织造材料、多孔泡沫;蜂窝状泡沫、蜂窝状热塑性膜;和热塑性稀松布。织造材料和非织造材料可包括天然纤维诸如木纤维或棉纤维;合成纤维诸如聚酯、聚丙烯或聚乙烯纤维;或它们的组合。如果顶片138包括纤维,则所述纤维可由纺粘、梳理成网、湿法成网、熔喷、水刺或其它本领域已知的方法加工。
顶片138可选自高蓬松非织造织物顶片、开孔膜顶片和开孔非织造织物顶片。开孔膜顶片可让身体流出物透过但基本上不吸收它们,并且会减弱允许流体流回并回渗穿着者皮肤的趋势。示例性开孔膜可包括描述于美国专利5,628,097;5,916,661;6,545,197;和6,107,539中的那些。
如上所述,尿布裤100也可包括接合到基础结构102的吸收组件140。如图2A所示,吸收组件140在前腰区116中可具有侧向延伸的前边缘148,并且在后腰区118中可具有纵向相对且侧向延伸的后边缘150。吸收组件可具有纵向延伸的右侧边缘152,并可具有侧向相对且纵向延伸的左侧边缘154,这两个吸收组件侧边152和154可在前边缘148和后边缘150之间纵向延伸。吸收组件140可附加包括一个或多个吸收芯142或吸收芯层。吸收芯142可至少部分地设置在顶片138和底片136之间,并且可按与尿布相容的各种尺寸和形状来形成。用作本公开的吸收芯的示例性吸收结构描述于美国专利4,610,678;4,673,402;4,888,231;和4,834,735中。
一些吸收芯实施例可包括流体存储芯,该流体存储芯包含减小的量的纤维素透气毡材料。例如,此类芯可包括小于约40%、30%、20%、10%、5%或甚至1%的纤维素透气毡材料。这种芯可主要包括含量为至少约60%、70%、80%、85%、90%、95%、或甚至约100%的吸收胶凝材料,其中芯的剩余部分包括微纤维胶(如果适用的话)。此类芯、微纤维胶、和吸收胶凝材料描述于美国专利5,599,335;5,562,646;5,669,894;和6,790,798以及美国专利公布2004/0158212和2004/0097895中。
如先前所提及的,尿布100也可包括弹性化腿箍156。应当理解腿箍156可以并且有时也被称为腿部带、侧翼、阻隔箍、弹性箍或衬圈箍。弹性化腿箍156可按各种方式来构造以帮助减少身体流出物在腿区中的渗漏。示例性腿箍156可包括描述于美国专利3,860,003、4,909,803、4,695,278、4,795,454、4,704,115和美国专利公开2009/0312730A1中的那些。
如上所提及的,尿布裤可由环状弹性带104制造并且以其中在施用于穿着者之前,在包装时前腰区116和后腰区118彼此连接的构型提供给消费者。因此,尿布裤可具有诸如图1所示的连续周边腰部开口110和连续周边腿部开口112。
如先前所提及的,环状弹性带104由与第二弹性带108连接的第一弹性带106限定。如图2A所示,第一弹性带106限定第一和第二相对端区106a,106b和中心区106c,并且第二弹性带108限定第一和第二相对端区108a,108b和中心区108c。
第一弹性带的中心区106c与基础结构102的第一腰区116连接,并且第二弹性带108的中心区108c与基础结构102的第二腰区116连接。如图1所示,第一弹性带106的第一端区106a与第二弹性带108的第一端区108a在第一侧缝178处连接,并且第一弹性带106的第二端区106b与第二弹性带108的第二端区108b在第二侧缝180处连接以限定环状弹性带104以及腰部开口110和腿部开口112。
如图2A、3A和3B所示,第一弹性带106还限定外侧边缘107a和内侧边缘107b,并且第二弹性带108限定外侧边缘109a和内侧边缘109b。外侧边缘107a,107b还可限定前腰边缘120和侧向延伸的后腰边缘122。第一弹性带和第二弹性带也可各自包括外部面向衣服层162和内部面向穿着者层164。应当理解,第一弹性带106和第二弹性带108可包括相同的材料,并且/或者可具有相同的结构。在一些实施例中,第一弹性带106和第二弹性带可包括不同的材料,并且/或者可具有不同的结构。应当理解,第一弹性带106和第二弹性带108可由各种材料构造成。例如,第一带和第二带可由以下材料制成:诸如塑料膜;开孔塑料膜;天然材料的织造或非织造纤维网(例如,木纤维或棉纤维)、合成纤维(例如,聚烯烃纤维、聚酰胺纤维、聚酯纤维、聚乙烯纤维、或聚丙烯纤维)或天然纤维和/或合成纤维的组合;或涂覆的织造纤维网或非织造纤维网。在一些实施例中,第一弹性带和第二弹性带包括合成纤维的非织造纤维网,并且可包括可拉伸的非织造织物。在其它实施例中,第一弹性带和第二弹性带包括内部疏水的不可拉伸的非织造材料和外部疏水的不可拉伸的非织造材料。
第一弹性带106和第二弹性带108也可各自包括插置在外层162和内层164之间的带弹性材料。带弹性材料可包括一个或多个弹性元件,诸如沿弹性带的长度延伸的股线、带状物或片。如图2A、3A和3B所示,带弹性材料可包括多个弹性股线168,其在本文中可被称为外腰部弹性体170和内腰部弹性体172。如图2A所示,弹性股线168在第一弹性带106的第一相对端区106a和第二相对端区106b之间,并且在第二弹性带108的第一相对端区108a和第二相对端区108b之间连续侧向延伸。在一些实施例中,一些弹性股线168可被构造成在例如其中第一弹性带106和第二弹性带108与吸收组件140重叠的区域中具有不连续部。在一些实施例中,可沿纵向以恒定间隔设置弹性股线168。在其它实施例中,弹性股线168可在纵向上以不同间隔设置。处于拉伸状态中的带弹性材料可插置和接合在未收缩的外层和未收缩的内层之间。当带弹性材料被松弛时,带弹性材料回到未拉伸状态并使外层和内层收缩。带弹性材料可在环状弹性带区域中提供期望变化的收缩力。
应当理解,可按除图2A所述方式之外的不同方式来构造基础结构102和弹性带106,108。例如,图2B示出了尿布裤100的平面图,所述尿布裤具有与上文参考图2A所述的相同的部件,不同之处在于基础结构102的第一侧向延伸的端边144沿第一弹性带106的外侧向边缘107a对齐并与其重合,并且第二侧向延伸的端边146沿第二带108的外侧向边缘109a对齐并与其重合。
如前所提及的,根据本公开的设备和方法可用于装配预扣紧的可重复扣紧裤型尿布100的各种组件。例如,图4示出适于制造裤型尿布100的转换加工设备300的示意图。可参照上文所述且图1和图2A所示的裤型尿布100的所述各种部件来描述转换加工设备300的操作方法。虽然在图1和2A中所示的尿布100的情况下提供以下方法,但应当理解可根据本文所公开的方法制造尿布裤的各种实施例,诸如例如美国专利7,569,039、美国专利公布2005/0107764A1、2012/0061016A1和2012/0061015A1中所公开的吸收制品,所述专利全部以引用方式并入本文。
如下文更详细地描述,图4中所示的转换加工设备300操作以沿纵向MD推进离散的基础结构102,使得每个基础结构102的侧向轴线与纵向平行,并且其中基础结构102沿纵向彼此间隔开。然后,间隔开的基础结构102的相对腰区116,118与推进的第一弹性带层合体406和第二弹性带层合体408的连续长度连接。然后,基础结构102沿侧向轴线折叠以使第一弹性带层合体406和第二弹性带层合体408成为面对关系,并且第一弹性层压体和第二弹性层压体由粘结部336粘结在一起。如下文更详细地讨论的,第一和第二弹性带层合体可由沿纵向间歇式隔开的相邻的粘结部336a,336b粘结在一起。每个粘结部336a,336b可以为横跨第一和第二弹性带层合体的宽度在横向上连续延伸的离散的粘结部位。然后,在相邻的粘结部336a,336b之间在横向上切割弹性带层合体406,408以形成离散的尿布100,诸如图1中所示。
如图4所示,将呈连续长度的外层带材料162形式的第一连续基底层;呈连续长度的内层带材料164形式的第二连续基底层;和弹性部件168组合以形成呈带材料402形式的连续的弹性层压体。更具体地,连续长度的外层带材料162、内层带材料164、外弹性股线170和内弹性股线172在纵向MD上被推进并且在压料辊502处组合以形成连续长度的带材料402。在进入压料辊502之前,外弹性股线170和内弹性股线172在纵向MD上拉伸。此外,在进入压料辊502之前,可将粘合剂504施用于弹性股线170,172以及连续长度的外层带材料162和内层带材料164中任一者或两者。另外,在进入压料辊502之前,可间歇地沿内弹性股线172的长度和/或间歇地沿连续长度的外层带材料162和内层带材料164中的任一者或两者的长度施加粘合剂504。因此,内弹性股线172可沿纵向MD间歇地粘结到连续长度的外层带材料162和内层带材料164中的任一者或两者。因此,带材料402可包括在粘结区之间沿纵向MD间歇地隔开的非粘结区,其中内弹性股线172不粘结到非粘结区中的外层带材料162或内层带材料164。并且内弹性股线172粘结到粘结区中的外层带材料162和/或内层带材料164。虽然图4示出其中通过将连续长度的外层带材料162和内层带材料164与弹性股线168组合而形成带材料402的实施例,但应当理解带材料402可以各种方式形成,诸如美国专利8,440,043和美国专利申请13/434,984、13/435,036、13/435,063、13/435,247和13/435,503中所公开的,所述专利全部均提交于2012年3月30日。
重新参见图4,从压料辊502开始,连续长度的带材料402在纵向MD上推进至切割器506,所述切割器将带材料402切割成两个连续的带基底,它们称作第一带基底406和第二带基底408。可按各种方式来构造切割器506。例如,在一些实施例中,切割器506可为裁切器或冲切器,其以直线切割和/或曲线切割方式将带材料分离成两个连续的带基底。切割器506也可被构造为穿孔器,所述穿孔器在带材料中穿孔出弱线,并且其中带材料在随后的步骤中沿弱线分离。第一带基底406和第二带基底408从切割器506推进通过转向器508,所述转向器在横向CD上将第一和第二带基底彼此分开,如图5C中所示。并且因此,在沿纵向MD推进时,弹性股线170,172,连续长度的第一带基底406和第二带基底408保持拉伸状态。应当理解,可按各种方式来构造转向器508。例如,在一些实施例中,转向器508可包括相对于纵向成45度的角度或某种其它角度的转杆。在一些实施例中,转向器可包括凸面轧辊。其它实施例可包括呈枢转台形式的转向器,例如由Maxcess-FIFE Corporation提供的FIFE-500WebGuiding System。转向器还可包括允许精确主动控制基底位置的仪器和纤维网边缘控制特征结构。如下文更详细地讨论的,第一带基底406和第二带基底408从转向器508推进到载体设备308和辊318之间的辊隙316。
如图4和5A所示,连续长度的基础结构组件302在纵向MD上推进到载体设备308并用刀辊306切割成离散的基础结构102。连续长度的基础结构组件可包括吸收组件140,所述吸收组件夹置在顶片材料138和底片材料136、腿弹性部件、阻隔腿箍等之间。如图5A所示,切除基础结构组件的部分以示出顶片材料138和吸收组件140中的一部分。
在由刀辊306切割离散的吸收基础结构102之后,载体设备308旋转并以图5B1所示的取向在纵向MD上推进离散的基础结构102,其中基础结构102的纵向轴线124与纵向MD大致平行。虽然图5B1中所示的基础结构102示有第二侧向延伸的端边146作为前缘和第一侧向延伸的端边144作为后缘,但应当理解在其它实施例中,基础结构102可以其它取向推进。例如,可取向基础结构使得第二侧向延伸的端边146为后缘并且第一侧向延伸的端边144为前缘。载体设备308也旋转,同时改变推进的基础结构102的取向。载体设备308也可改变基础结构102沿纵向MD推进的速度。应当理解,各种形式的载体设备可用于本文的方法,诸如例如,美国专利7,587,966和美国专利申请13/447,585、13/447,568、13/447,544和13/447,531中所公开的载体设备。图5B2示出在纵向上推进时,基础结构102在载体设备308上的取向。更具体地,图5B2示出基础结构102,其中基础结构102的侧向轴线126与纵向MD大致平行,并且其中第二纵向侧边缘130为前缘且第一纵向侧边缘128为后缘。
如下文参考图4、5C、5D、5E和5F所讨论的,基础结构102从载体设备308转移并与推进的连续长度的带层合体406,408组合,其随后切割以形成尿布100上的第一弹性带106和第二弹性带108。
参见图4和5C,基础结构102从载体设备308转移到载体设备308和辊318之间的辊隙316,其中基础结构102与连续长度的推进的前带基底材料406和后带基底材料408组合。前带层压体406和后带层压体408各自限定面向穿着者的表面312和相对的面向衣服的表面314。第一带层合体406的面向穿着者的表面312可沿第一腰区116与基础结构102的面向衣服的表面134组合,并且第二带层合体408的面向穿着者的表面312可沿第二腰区118与基础结构102的面向衣服的表面134组合。如图4所示,在辊318和载体设备308之间的辊隙316处与离散的基础结构102组合之前,可将粘合剂320间歇地施用于第一带层合体406和第二带层合体408的面向穿着者的表面312。
参见图4和5D,连续长度的吸收制品400由沿纵向MD彼此隔开并且由第二带层合体408和第一带层合体406彼此连接的多个离散的基础结构102限定。如图4所示,连续长度的吸收制品400从辊隙316推进到折叠设备332。在折叠设备332处,在横向CD上沿侧向轴线126折叠每个基础结构102以将第一腰区116(具体地,内部面向身体的表面132)放置成与第二腰区118的内部身体表面132成面对的,表面对表面取向。基础结构的折叠也将在每个基础结构102之间延伸的第二带层合体408的面向穿着者的表面312与在每个基础结构102之间延伸的第一带层合体406的面向穿着者的表面312定位成面对的关系。如图4、5D和5E所示,与第一带层合体406和第二带层合体408连接的折叠的离散基础结构102从折叠设备332推进到粘合设备334。粘结设备334操作以粘结重叠区362,因此形成离散的粘结部336a,336b。重叠区362包括在每个基础结构102之间延伸的第二带层合体408的一部分和在每个基础结构102之间延伸的第一带层合体406的一部分。如图4和5F中所示,连续长度的吸收制品从粘结机334推进到刀辊338,其中在相邻的粘结部336a,336b之间沿横向切割第一带层合体406和第二带层合体408以形成离散的吸收制品100。因此,粘结部336a可对应于并形成吸收制品100上的第一侧缝178,并且粘结部336b可对应于并形成后续推进的吸收制品上的第二侧缝180。
虽然吸收制品被描述为具有第一和第二带层合体,但应当理解吸收制品可仅具有一个带层合体。另外,应当理解吸收制品的基础结构和带层合体可以为一个连续的基底,使得重叠区由相同基底形成。因此,粘结设备可操作以在重叠区处粘结连续的基底以形成一个或多个离散的粘结部。

如前所提及的,转筒的每个接缝工位可包括流体喷嘴378和压制构件380。图7示出接缝工位348的实施例的详细分解图。如图7所示,接缝工位348包括基座构件340,其与转筒固定不动地连接并随转筒旋转。基座构件340为基本上正方形的并且由基座构件顶部表面382和基座构件底部表面383限定。基座构件340包括基座孔350,所述基座孔延伸穿过基座构件顶部表面382和底部表面383,使得流体喷嘴384和压制构件380可延伸穿过基座孔350。此外,基座构件底部表面383还固定地与基座联接件352连接。如下所述,基座联接件352的一个端部连接至基座构件底部表面383,并且基座联接件352的另一个端部可操作地连接至第一移位联接件354。

如图7所示,接缝工位348还可包括两个加热设备384。如下所更详述,每个加热设备384均提供加压流体源,所述加压流体源用于向例如流体喷嘴378递送受热的加压流体诸如空气。在一些实施例中,阀门可控制流体从加热设备384流出并进入到流体喷嘴378中。每个加热设备384均由一组第三移位联接件385可操作地连接至基座构件340。每个第三移位联接件385均可操作地连接至一个加热设备384的一个端部并且也连接至凸轮从动件构件第二部分365。
继续参见图7并且如上所讨论的,接缝工位还可包括流体喷嘴378。流体喷嘴378可包括一个或多个流体孔口424,在该流体孔口处从流体喷嘴378释放出受热的加压流体。每个加热设备384均固定地与分隔的流体喷嘴378连接。如图7所示,流体孔口424可以是圆形的并且可沿流体喷嘴378成排延伸。受热流体可包括环境空气或其它气体。应当理解可将流体加热至各种温度并加压至各种压力。例如,在一些实施例中,流体可加热至在第一和第二层合体的较低熔点减去30℃至第一和第二层合体的较低熔点加上100℃范围内的温度。在一些实施例中,流体压力可在0.1×105牛顿每平方米至1×106牛顿每平方米的范围内。在一些实施例中,受热流体可在10至1000毫秒或更大的时间间隔内引导朝向第一和第二带层合体中的至少一个。可使用更短或更长的时间间隔。
参见图7和8,接缝工位348还可包括弹簧构件394。弹簧构件394可为基本上U形的并且由弹簧构件顶面410、弹簧构件底面411和弹簧构件侧开口412限定。如图7所示,弹簧构件底面411固定地连接到凸轮从动件构件顶面363。弹簧构件394可沿整个凸轮从动件构件顶面363延伸。如下文进一步详细讨论的,弹簧构件侧开口412使得弹簧构件394在压制构件380将部分熔融的重叠区压向砧辊外圆周表面时挠曲。
如前所讨论的,接缝工位还可包括压制构件380以将部分熔融的重叠区压向砧辊的外圆周表面,如图7、7A和7B所示。压制构件380可为基本上矩形的形状,并且由压制构件顶面420、压制构件底面421和压制构件长度387限定。压制构件380可包括从压制构件顶面420向外延伸的一个或多个凸起422以限定图案表面423。压制构件421底面固定不动地连接至弹簧构件顶面410。压制构件380可沿整个弹簧构件顶面410延伸。

如下文更详细地讨论的,接缝工位348可适用于在转筒346旋转时以第一和第二构型操作,同时利用粘结部336将第一和第二弹性带层合体粘结在一起。例如,如图8和9所示,当接缝工位348呈第一构型时,流体喷嘴378接近转筒孔366和转筒外圆周表面376径向向外定位,然而压制构件380远离转筒孔366和转筒外圆周表面376径向向内定位。此外,流体喷嘴378还定位在与压制构件380的突出部422相同的圆周位置,使得受热流体被引导至重叠区域上相同的位置,所述重叠区域随后将被压制构件380压缩。如图10所示,当接缝工位348呈第二构型时,压制构件380延伸穿过转筒孔超过外圆周表面,并且加热设备384远离转筒孔366径向向内定位。此外,并且流体喷嘴378位于相邻转筒外圆周表面366的凸轮从动件构件的任一侧上。
图11示出在转筒364旋转期间各种构型的接缝工位348的粘结设备334突出示例的示意图。如图11所示,单个接缝工位可以呈围绕转筒364旋转约180度的第一构型430。接着,每个接缝工位可通过移位构型432过渡,其中接缝工位从第一构型移动到围绕转筒364旋转约六十度的第二构型。然后,每个接缝工位可以呈围绕转筒364旋转约六十度的第二构型434。并且最后,每个接缝工位可通过重置构型436过渡,其中接缝工位从第二构型移动到围绕转筒364旋转约六十度的第一构型。应当理解,接缝工位可以呈比图11中所示的围绕转筒364旋转的角度更大或更小的角度的各个构型。
为向上述讨论提供附加情况,以下提供用于将弹性基底粘结在一起的本文设备和方法的示例性具体实施的具体描述。如图6A中所示,在转筒364围绕旋转轴线374旋转时,连续长度的吸收制品400在纵向MD上推进到外部圆周表面376上。第一带层合体406位于第二带层合体408和转筒外圆周表面376之间。更具体地,第一带层合体406的外层162可以与转筒外圆周表面376直接接触。并且第一带层合体406的内层164可以与第二带层合体408的内层164直接接触。外圆周表面376可以与推进的吸收制品400相同的速度移动,使得吸收制品400的位置相对于外圆周表面376保持不变直至吸收制品400从转筒364中移除。第一带层合体406和第二带层合体408的重叠区362定位在与转筒孔366一致的转筒外圆周表面376上。如上所提及的,从转筒孔366径向向内定位的接缝工位348被构造成在吸收制品400沿转筒364运行时粘结重叠区362的一部分。
接缝工位348被布置成随着吸收制品被接收在转筒364上而处于第一构型。参见图6A和6B,在转筒364旋转时,连续长度的吸收制品400围绕转筒外圆周表面376包裹。同时,加热加压流体的射流从流体喷嘴378外的加热设备384引导并到第一带层合体406和第二带层合体408的重叠区376上。流体喷嘴378保持与第一带层合体406的外层162的预选距离Y以控制由受热流体施加于重叠区的压力,如图6B1所示。在一些实施例中,第一带层合体406的外层162和流体喷嘴378之间的距离Y可保持在3mm预选距离Y的范围内。
一旦至少部分地熔融重叠区,接缝工位就移动至第二构型并且转筒364继续旋转。参见图6A、6A1、6B和6B1,在转筒364旋转时,第一组凸轮滚柱388和第二组凸轮滚柱390在固定式凸轮轨道392上滚动。当第一组凸轮滚柱388和第二组凸轮滚柱390沿固定式凸轮轨道392滚动时,固定式凸轮轨道392保持固定。随着第一组凸轮滚柱388和第二组凸轮滚柱390从其中固定式凸轮轨道392的半径R由相对较短半径R限定的区域滚动至其中固定式凸轮轨道392的半径R由相对较长半径R限定的区域,第一移位联接件354、第二移位联接件356、和第三移位联接件385枢转。参见图6B,第一移位联接件354在基座联接352和凸轮从动件构件358处枢转,然而第二组移位联接件356在凸轮从动件构件358和基座构件340处枢转。同时,凸轮从动件构件358径向向外朝转筒外圆周表面376移位。第三移位联接件385也在凸轮从动件构件358处枢转,导致加热设备384远离转筒外圆周表面376径向向内移动,并且导致流体喷嘴378在圆周上彼此隔开地铺展在压制构件380的任一侧上。接缝工位348继续移位,直到第一组凸轮滚柱388和第二组凸轮滚柱390沿固定式凸轮轨道392的区域滚动,在所述区域中固定式凸轮轨道392的半径R保持恒定,这对应于接缝工位348的第二构型。接缝工位348保持在第二构型,直到第一组凸轮滚柱388和第二组凸轮滚柱390沿固定式凸轮轨道392行进至其中固定式凸轮轨道由相对较短的半径限定的区域。
继续参见图6A和6B,在转筒364继续旋转并且接缝工位348呈第二构型时,部分熔融的重叠区靠近相邻转筒364定位的砧辊368。在吸收制品400在砧辊368和转筒364之间推进时,延伸穿过转筒孔366的压制构件380的凸起422a,422b将部分熔融的重叠区362压向砧辊368的外圆周表面370。更具体地,压制构件380的图案表面423a,423b被构造成接触重叠区362的相同位置,所述重叠区至少部分地被受热流体熔融,因此在重叠区中形成离散的粘结部位336a,336b,如图5E中所示。
弹簧构件394可用来向压制构件380和砧辊368之间的重叠区域施加预先确定的力。一旦压缩,吸收制品就从转筒的外圆周表面推进。转筒继续旋转,并且接缝工位移位回到第一构型以便在后续的吸收制品中形成离散的粘结部位。在一些实施例中,压制构件可在约1×105牛顿每平方米至约1×108牛顿每平方米范围的压力下,将部分熔融的重叠区压向砧辊的外圆周表面。在一些实施例中,压制构件366可压缩第一带基底和第二带基底并持续范围为10至1000毫秒或更长的时间段。可使用更短或更长的时间间隔。

如前所提及的并且如图5E3A-5E3C中所示,在粘结操作期间,当弹性层压体406,408在图案表面423和砧辊368之间压缩时,两个层压体406,408的外层162和内层164的部分地熔融的部分361(由交叉影线区表示)彼此之间并且与弹性股线168粘结在一起以形成粘结部336。应当理解,弹性股线168可以各种方式布置在粘结部336内部。例如,图5E3A示出每个层压体406,408中的弹性股线168通过粘结部336的厚度彼此重叠。在一个示例中,图5E3B示出每个层压体406,408中的弹性股线168通过粘结部336的厚度彼此重叠并且部分穿插。并且在另一个示例中,图5E3C示出每个层压体406,408中的相邻弹性股线168通过粘结部336的厚度彼此穿插。因此,当弹性股线168诸如图5E3C所示穿插时,粘结部336的厚度可相对较小。
如前参见图4和5F所提及的,一旦形成粘结部336a,336b,吸收制品400就在纵向MD上推进到刀辊338,其中沿横向CD在粘结部336a,336b之间切割层压体406,408以形成吸收制品100上的第一侧缝178和后续推进的吸收制品上的第二侧缝180。当刀辊338切割层压体406,408时,拉伸的弹性股线168的切割端回缩或快速回缩至粘结部336a,336b。然而,可降低回缩股线168的切割端可回缩穿过粘结部336a,336b的可能性,因为弹性股线168与粘结部336a,336b中两个层压体406,408的外层162和内层164的部分地熔融的部分361粘结在一起。
此外,在粘结过程中,由于图案表面的相对大尺寸,可降低层压体406,408中的熔融材料粘结到图案表面423的频率。另外,可涂覆图案表面423和砧辊以防止至少部分熔融的重叠区粘结到压制构件和砧辊的表面。压制构件和砧辊可涂覆有,例如等离子体涂层、聚四氟乙烯、或有机硅。
如前所提及的,应当理解,本文的图案表面可构造成与各种类型的粘结设备操作,诸如美国专利公布2013/0213547A1和2013/0218116A1;以及美国专利6,248,195中所公开的。例如,图12示出粘结设备334的实施例,其中弹性层压体406,408的重叠区362在加热转筒512上部分熔融。然后,层压体406,408推进至旋转砧转筒516和旋转粘结转筒518之间的辊隙514,其中在粘结转筒518上具有图案表面423的压制构件380压制并将层压体406,408与粘结部336粘结在一起,诸如如上所讨论的。
如图12所示,加热转筒512可包括围绕加热转筒512的周边设置的多个流体出口520。继而,每个流体出口520可与流体腔室522流体连通,所述流体腔室提供加压流体源,用于将加热加压流体递送至流体出口520。还可提供加热装置524用于加热流体腔室内的流体。在一些实施例中,阀门可控制流体从流体腔室522流出并流进流体出口520中。粘结转筒518可包括围绕粘结转筒518的周边设置的多个压制构件380。在操作期间,层压体406,408在纵向MD上推进到旋转加热转筒512的周边上。受热流体通过多个流体出口520递送至层压体406,408,从而至少部分地熔融重叠区层压体406,408。一旦加热,层压体406,408就推进到旋转砧转筒516和旋转粘合转筒518之间的辊隙514,其中压制构件380压缩至少部分熔融的重叠区362,从而形成将层压体406,408接合在一起的粘结部336。

沿纵向切割所述弹性层压体(402)以形成第一连续的弹性层压体(406)和第二连续的弹性层压体(408);以及
在横向上将所述第一连续的弹性层压体(406)和所述第二连续的弹性层压体(408)隔开。
5.根据权利要求4所述的方法,其中粘结的所述步骤还包括:
在所述第一连续的弹性层压体(406)和所述第二连续的弹性层压体(408)之间形成沿纵向间歇式隔开的粘结部(336);以及
在相邻的粘结部(336)之间切割所述第一连续的弹性层压体(406)和第二连续的弹性层压体(408)以形成裤型尿布侧缝(178,180)。
6.根据权利要求4所述的方法,其中所述第一连续的弹性层压体(406)限定在横向上延伸的宽度W1,并且其中所述图案表面(423)的长度L大于W1的30%。
7.根据权利要求4所述的方法,所述方法还包括以下步骤:
在纵向上推进第三连续基底(302);
将所述第三连续基底(302)切割成离散的基础结构(102),其中每个基础结构(102)推进使得纵向轴线(124)与纵向平行;
翻转每个基础结构(102)使得侧向轴线(126)与纵向平行;
将每个基础结构(102)的第一端区与第一连续的弹性层压体(406)附接;并且将每个基础结构(102)的第二端区与所述第二连续的弹性层压体(408)附接。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法,所述方法还包括以下步骤:
沿侧向轴线(126)折叠每个基础结构(102)以将所述第一连续的弹性层压体(406)定位成与所述第二连续的弹性层压体(408)面对的关系。
