背景技术
近来,氢燃料能量已作为化石燃料的替代能源出现,因为氢燃料能量可以无限再生,并且不会产生环境污染。因此,在多个领域中积极进行着贮存和控制氢燃料能量的研究,例如,制造技术、贮存技术以及运输和移动技术。具体地,使用氢燃料能量的氢燃料电池车辆的研究已在增长。
同时,氢燃料或氢气在其在空气中的浓度大于大约4%(vol/vol)时具有燃烧和爆炸的可能,因此,在许多使用氢燃料能量的技术领域中,可以迅速并准确检测氢气泄露的高敏感氢传感器可以视作是氢燃料能量商业化的核心技术。

应理解,本文使用的术语“车辆”或“车辆的”或其它类似术语包括通常的机动车,例如,包括多功能运动车(SUV)、公共汽车、卡车、各种商务车的客车,包括各种船只和船舶的水运工具,飞行器等等,并且包括混合动力车、电动车、插入式混合电动车、氢动力车和其它代用燃料车(例如,来源于石油以外的资源的燃料)。如本文所提到的,混合动力车是具有两种或多种动力源的车辆,例如,具有汽油动力和电动力的车辆。
在下文中,将参考附图对本发明的示例性实施方式加以详述。在此,说明书和权利要求书中使用的术语和措辞不应限定和理解成常用的或字典上的含义,而应当基于发明人可以适当定义各个术语的概念用于以最佳方式说明本发明的原理,理解成根据本公开内容的技术精神的含义和概念。
直至最近,已使用例如WO3和MoO3的材料作为化学色(chemochromic)氢传感器材料。包括这些材料和金属催化层的传统氢传感器可以具有可逆的脱色变化,使得可以加以重复使用。而且,这些材料可以以各种形式使用,例如涂层剂、颜料、漆料、墨水等,并且可以检测低浓度的氢气。但是,这些材料大多造价昂贵,并且金属催化层很容易被其中含有的氧和来自大气环境的湿气腐蚀,从而随着时间敏感性降低,寿命变短。为了防止这些缺点,可以在金属催化层上添加抗湿保护膜,这会导致检测效率劣化。
为了解决上述问题,本发明提供一种基于硫化物-金属催化剂使用光学/化学变色或着色的氢检测传感器。
因此,在本发明的示例性实施方式中,提供一种氢检测传感器,其可以包括:基底;在基底上形成并在暴露于氢时发生化学变色的硫化物层;和形成在硫化物层上的金属催化层。
在氢检测传感器中,基底可以由负载(supporting)硫化物层的固相材料形成。固相材料可以不受具体限定,可以由相关领域技术人员灵活地选择。示例性的固相材料可以不加限定地包括玻璃、柔性塑料、硅、石英、熔凝硅石、不锈钢、云母、碳、碳纳米管、聚合物、陶瓷或搪瓷。
在本发明的氢检测传感器中,硫化物层可以包括当暴露于氢时可以变色或化学变色的变色材料。这种“变色或着色”或“化学变色/着色”可以在变色材料的表面上用肉眼可视化地观察到。在优选的实施方式中,“变色或着色”或“化学变色/着色”可以是指由与氢的化学反应例如还原、氧化等诱导的能够可视化检测的颜色变化。也就是说,在1)硫化物层暴露于氢之前;和2)硫化物层暴露于氢之后至少大约1秒、大约5秒、大约10秒、大约20秒、大约30秒、大约40秒、大约50秒或大约60秒之间,将会有硫化物层(用肉眼检测)可视化的颜色变化。而且,当硫化物层中基于总重量大约1wt%、大约2wt%、大约3wt%、大约4wt%、大约5wt%、大约7wt%、大约10wt%、大约15wt%、大约20wt%、大约25wt%、大约30wt%、大约35wt%、大约40wt%、大约50wt%、大约60wt%、大约70wt%、大约80wt%、大约90wt%、大约99wt%、或大约100wt%的量的变色材料与氢发生化学反应时,可以用肉眼可视化地检测到“变色或着色”或“化学变色/着色”。
示例性的氢变色材料可以是不包括氧的硫化物,并且可以包括至少一种或多种选自CdS、SnS、MoS、ZnS、SeS、FeS、PdS和CuS(铜蓝)的硫化物。具体地,变色材料可以是CuS。
通过选择并调节合适的实验条件,硫化物层可以形成为具有独特的具体特性。例如,硫化物层可以使用公知的化学浴沉积(CBD)法或干沉积法沉积,在该情形中,硫化物层可以沉积为具有范围为大约40nm至大约50nm的厚度,但厚度可以不受具体限定。当厚度大于大约50nm时,金属催化剂的量或金属催化剂层的厚度可成比例地一起增加。
根据一示例性实施方式,当硫化物层形成为CuS薄膜时,CuS薄膜可以通过CBD法例如水热法形成。例如,硫酸铜和硫代硫酸钠可以在大约65℃的温度下在水溶液中以大约1:5的摩尔比反应,由此制备的材料可以如图1所示沉积。
具体地,当CBD法在等于或小于大约70℃的低温下进行时,可以使用球形基底,例如,玻璃基底、柔性基底、柔性塑料基底等。
硫化物层可以沉积在基底的整个区域上,使得不会露出基底的任何表面。
通过上述方法例如水热法沉积在基底上的硫化物层可以具有相对于基底改善的结合特性、坚固性和稳定性,因此,可以防止硫化物层与基底分离。
对于操作氢检测传感器来说,氢分子可以通过催化反应分解。根据一示例性实施方式,氢检测传感器可以在硫化物层上包括金属催化层。
金属催化层可以包括至少一种或多种选自钯(Pd)、铂(Pt)、钌(Ru)、镁(Mg)、镍(Ni)和金(Au)的金属颗粒物质。具体地,金属催化层可以包括Pd或Pt金属催化颗粒,其增加氢检测传感器的敏感性并显著提高其耐久性。
金属催化层的厚度可以根据硫化物的厚度而变化。例如,CuS:Pd的厚度比以纳米(nm)计可以是大约40-50:4-5,但厚度范围可以不受具体限定。
金属催化层可以沉积在硫化物层的一部分上,使得至少另一部分的硫化物层是露出的。
金属催化层可以通过使用水热法或电子束蒸发(EBD)形成。
例如,水热法可以通过将PdCl2(氯化钯)混合在甲醇或乙醇溶剂中并将混合物暴露于紫外线(主波长为大约365nm,输出为大约1000W)大约2-3分钟而进行。当水热法进行小于大约2分钟时,钯不会适当地分解,而当水热法进行大于大约3分钟时,钯的颜色会大大地变暗,这样的颜色变化可能无法可视化地检测到。
或者,EBD可以通过在室温下以大约7.0kV的加速电压和大约40mA的电流照射电子束而进行,但是,这些条件可以基于加速电压和装置的状态而变化。例如,在沉积大约4nm的情形中,EBD可以以每秒大约0.1nm厚/大约0.1A/s的沉积速率进行大约9-10分钟。
当由此制造的根据本发明一示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器暴露于氢气时,氢分子可以通过金属催化层(例如,含有Pd金属催化剂的片材)离解为质子和电子,氢原子离解的电子可以穿过金属催化层,以透射至硫化物(例如CuS)薄膜。这样,硫化物层会发生还原。例如,由于CuS薄膜的二价Cu(II)可以还原成一价Cu(I),可以发生可以用肉眼识别的化学变色反应,如以下反应式I所示。
已经有报道氢在与阳离子和阴离子结合时,可以影响材料的电特性和结构特性。同时,由于范德华力,取决于引入的宿主(host),氢可以具有性质上不同的行为。换言之,氢可以用作供体(H+)或受体(H-)。因此,在氢检测传感器系统中,氢可以与S-物种结合,如以下反应式I所示,主要影响氢检测传感器系统的价带(valanceband)。

当根据本发明一示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器通过上述的方法和原理制造时,氢检测传感器在暴露于氢气之前可具有深绿色的颜色。当氢检测传感器暴露于氢气时,颜色可以变化成深棕色,从而检测出氢气。例如,在存在100%(vol/vol)氢气时,薄膜的颜色可以完全变成深棕色,而对于1%(vol/vol)量的氢气来说,可观察到的较少的颜色变化。而且,以100%(vol/vol)氢气,根据本发明一示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器的响应时间可以小于大约20秒,而存在1%(vol/vol)氢气时,从使氢气从中穿过的时间点开始,可需要大约1分钟。
根据本发明一示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器可以用于光学传感器和化学着色/变色。而且,其制造成本得以降低,并且氢检测传感器可以在增加的区域中很容易地形成。
当使用相关技术的氧化物时,可能因氧化物被氢还原而发生化学变色/着色,这导致空气中的氧的可逆反应。但是,根据本发明的示例性实施方式,无论是否有氧,催化材料形成的氢原子可以与硫化物的硫反应,形成硫化氢(H2S),从而被还原。还原的硫化物可以保持在空气中,而不是被回收。因此,根据本发明示例性实施方式的使用可用肉眼检测的氢(H2)化学色效应的氢检测传感器系统可以涉及不可逆反应。另外,根据本发明示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器可以使用光学测量方案测量浓度大约1%或更低,例如大约0.8%的氢。此外,根据本发明示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器不会需要保护性滤器、钝化层等,这会降低敏感性或选择性,如相关技术所报道。这样,氢检测传感器可以用于多种传感器应用领域,例如涂层剂、颜料、漆料等。
具体的示例性实施方式在本公开内容的详述中已得以说明。但是,可以在不偏离本公开内容范围的情况下进行各种修改。本公开内容的技术概念不应确定为或限于所描述的本公开内容的示例性实施方式,而是由其权利要求及其等同方式所确定。
实施例
实验方法和仪器
a.氢检测传感器关于100%氢的变色和脱色反应使用密封气室进行。
b.通过使用具有出口的开放室,在氮气、氧气和蒸汽混合物的气氛下考察大约1%(vol/vol)氢气(含有大约99%(vol/vol)氮气)的变色反应。
c.各气体着色实验在室温下进行,样品上保持大约2L/min的流速。
d.沉积的薄膜表面的形貌和结构特征使用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)(HitachiS4800,日本)和透射电子显微镜(TEM)(JEM-2100F,JEOL,USA)测量。
e.使用与TEM连接的仪器测量能量色散X-射线光谱(EDS),样品中所包括元素的类型和质量%比例均通过数据核查。
实施方式1:制造氢检测传感器
将含有硫酸铜(大约0.5M)和硫代硫酸钠(大约0.5M)的水溶液(大约100ml)置于烧杯中,之后,将切割成预定尺寸的柔性塑料基底(聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯)放置成斜靠在烧杯壁上,并浸泡在水溶液中。为了仅使硫化物层沉积在基底的仅一侧,将基底的另一侧使用遮蔽带掩蔽。CBD过程进行大约135分钟,同时保持温度条件为大约65℃。结果,在基底上沉积有厚度大约50nm的硫化物层。
硫化物层沉积过程终止之后,将硫化物层用水洗涤,随后在空气中干燥。之后,在室温下使用图1所示的EBD技术在硫化物层上沉积厚度为大约4nm的钯金属催化层。
对于沉积的硫化物层和金属催化层,使用TEM测量样品的纯度。例如,CuS薄膜的晶格常数为大约0.284nm,如图2A所示,Pd层的晶格常数为大约0.226nm,如图2B所示。
另外,对于有关CuS-Pd沉积基底的EDS谱,检查铜(Cu)、硫(S)和钯(Pd)元素的元素类型,并且由于如下表1所示检测出这些元素的重量百分比,可以确定Pd层和CuS薄膜根据结果得以正常沉积。

实验例
[实验例1]
将实施方式1中制造的氢检测传感器安装在具有出口的开放室中,在氮、氧和蒸汽混合物的气氛下使大约1%(vol/vol)氢(含有大约99%(vol/vol)氮)通过氢检测传感器的同时,用肉眼考察氢检测传感器的着色反应。
结果,在暴露于氢气之前为深绿色的氢检测传感器在暴露于氢气之后变成深棕色,如图4所示。
[实验例2]
因氢气导致的硫化物层的还原导致氢检测传感器在波长范围大约800nm至大约3000nm的红外区域中的透光率和吸光度发生变化。图5显示了氢检测传感器在100%(vol/vol)氢的存在下在大约300nm至大约3000nm范围内的吸收光谱,图6显示了氢检测传感器在100%(vol/vol)氢的存在下在大约300nm至大约3000nm范围内的透射光谱。如图5所示,观察到在氢检测传感器暴露于氢气之后,与暴露于氢气之前的氢检测传感器相比较,其在大约1100nm至大约2500nm的波长范围中吸光度降低。另外,观察到在氢检测传感器暴露于氢气之后,其在大约1100nm至大约2500nm的波长范围中透光率增加。这种变化表明了本发明示例性实施方式的氢检测传感器对于氢气的敏感性。
根据本发明示例性实施方式制造的氢检测传感器可以包括硫化物层,其可以通过与金属催化层和氢原子的反应被还原,还原的硫化物层对于空气中的氧、湿气等的腐蚀速率可以更低,因此,即使没有额外的保护层,氢检测传感器敏感性的降低也得以防止。另外,根据本发明示例性实施方式制造的氢检测传感器可以在室温下很容易地检测出空气中大约1%(vol/vol)或更低的低浓度氢气。
本公开内容所属领域技术人员可以在不偏离本公开内容范围和精神的情况下对上述本发明进行各种替换、改变和修改。因此,本公开内容不限定于上述的示例性实施方式和附图。
Claims (14)
1.一种氢检测传感器,其包括:
基底,
在所述基底上形成并在暴露于氢时变色的硫化物层,以及
沉积在所述硫化物层上的金属催化层。
2.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述硫化物层因与氢的化学反应而发生化学变色。
3.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述基底选自玻璃、柔性塑料、硅、石英、熔凝硅石、不锈钢、云母、碳、碳纳米管、聚合物、陶瓷和搪瓷。
4.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述硫化物层包括一种或多种选自CdS、SnS、MoS、ZnS、SeS、FeS、PdS和CuS的硫化物。
5.根据权利要求4所述的氢检测传感器,其中使用化学浴沉积(CBD)法或干沉积法将所述硫化物层沉积在所述基底上。
6.根据权利要求4所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述硫化物层通过使硫酸铜与硫代硫酸钠以约1:5的摩尔比反应并通过浴沉积而形成为薄膜。
7.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述硫化物层的厚度范围为约40nm至50nm。
8.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述硫化物层沉积在所述基底的整个区域上,使得不露出所述基底。
9.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述金属催化层包括一种或多种选自钯(Pd)、铂(Pt)、钌(Ru)、镁(Mg)、镍(Ni)和金(Au)的金属颗粒。
10.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中使用水热法或电子束蒸发(EBD)形成所述金属催化层。
11.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中所述金属催化层的厚度范围为约4nm至5nm。
12.根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器,其中在所述硫化物层的一部分上形成所述金属催化层,使得所述硫化物层的至少另一部分露出。
13.一种车辆部件,其包括根据权利要求1所述的氢检测传感器。
14.根据权利要求13所述的车辆部件,其为燃料电池车中的贮氢罐、高压调节器、具有接头的管、氢气阀或燃料电池堆外壳。
