Abstract

本发明提供一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法及COA型液晶显示面板,采用可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒制成彩色滤光薄膜,由于其内的红色、绿色量子棒受到激发时产生的光线本身为偏振光,并且由于其内的红色、绿色量子棒均沿同一方向排列,因此在受到背光激发后会产生偏振方向一致的红色、绿色的线偏振光,从而起到了下偏光片的作用,使得该方法制得的COA型液晶显示面板,不仅得到了鲜艳的三原色光提高了色饱和度,并且省略了下偏光片,降低了制作成本。

技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法及COA型液晶显示面板。
背景技术
随着显示技术的发展,液晶显示器(LiquidCrystalDisplay,LCD)等平面显示装置因具有高画质、省电、机身薄及应用范围广等优点,而被广泛的应用于手机、电视、个人数字助理、数字相机、笔记本电脑、台式计算机等各种消费性电子产品,成为显示装置中的主流。
现有市场上的液晶显示装置大部分为背光型液晶显示器,其包括液晶显示面板及背光模组(backlightmodule)。通常液晶显示面板由彩膜(CF,ColorFilter)基板、薄膜晶体管(TFT,ThinFilmTransistor)基板、夹于彩膜基板与薄膜晶体管基板之间的液晶(LC,LiquidCrystal)及密封胶框(Sealant)组成。然而,这种结构的液晶显示面板经常会出现彩膜基板与薄膜晶体管基板对位不良的问题,进而造成像素漏光或开口率低等问题。为解决上述问题,产生了COA结构的液晶显示面板,COA(ColorFilteronArray)技术是将彩色滤光层制备在TFT基板上的技术,以形成彩色滤光片,因为COA结构的液晶显示面板不存在彩膜基板与阵列基板的对位问题,所以可以降低显示面板制备过程中对盒制程的难度,避免了对盒时的误差,因此黑色矩阵可以设计为窄线宽,提高了开口率。
液晶显示面板的显示原理通常为:背光通过下偏光片,形成偏振方向与下偏光片穿透轴平行的偏振光。偏振光通过RGB彩色滤光片后产生R,G,B三色的偏振光。R,G,B三色偏振光经过液晶层调整偏正方向,然后通过上偏光片(COA结构的液晶显示面板);或者,R,G,B三色偏振光先通过液晶层,然后经过RGB彩色滤光片层产生R,G,B三色的偏振光,最后经过上偏光片出光(一般结构的液晶显示面板)。无论哪一种结构的液晶显示面板,液晶层在其中起到控制光量通过的阀门的作用,其显示原理得以实现的最重要的两个要素为:1、偏振光;2、RGB三原色。
目前,因为量子点(QD,Quantum-Dot)能够在背光的激发下发出的光具有波长窄(半波峰小),色彩鲜艳(色浓度高)的特点,很多技术专注于将量子点应用在液晶显示面板中,以提高显示面板的色饱和度。与量子点不同的是,量子棒(QR,Quantum-Rod)发出的激发光可以是偏振光,并且,通过控制量子棒的直径,可以控制从量子棒发出的光的波长。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,采用可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒制备彩色滤光薄膜,使得该方法制得的COA型液晶显示面板,不仅得到了鲜艳的三原色光提高了色饱和度,并且由于彩色滤光薄膜能够将背光转化为偏振光,从而省略了下偏光片,降低了制作成本。
本发明的目的在于还提供一种COA型液晶显示面板,不仅具有较高的色饱和度,而且不需要使用下偏光片,从而降低了制作成本。
为实现上述目的,本发明提供一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供一TFT基板,所述TFT基板包括第一基板、设于第一基板上的TFT层、及设于所述TFT层的钝化层,在所述TFT基板上制作黑色矩阵,所述黑色矩阵将所述TFT基板划分为数个子像素区域,所述数个子像素区域包括数个红色子像素区域、数个绿色子像素区域、及数个蓝色子像素区域;
步骤2、在所述TFT基板及黑色矩阵上涂布一层配向材料,并进行摩擦配向,得到第一配向膜;
步骤3、在红色子像素区域内滴入包括可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、及红色量子棒的混合物,在绿色子像素区域内滴入包括可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、及绿色量子棒的混合物,在蓝色子像素区域内滴入包括可反应性液晶与可反应性单体的混合物;
上述混合物滴下后,所述数个子像素区域中的可反应性液晶均沿所述第一配向膜的配向方向排列,在所述红色子像素区域、及绿色子像素区域内,由于可反应性液晶与红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒之间具有较强的分子间作用力,所述红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒会与可反应性液晶沿相同的方向排列;
步骤4、对数个子像素区域进行UV照射,使得每个子像素区域内的可反应性单体与可反应性液晶发生反应,形成聚合物网络,在所述红色子像素区域、及绿色子像素区域内,所述红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒的排列方向被聚合物网络固定下来,在所述红色子像素区域、绿色子像素区域、及蓝色子像素区域内分别形成红色量子棒聚合物薄膜、绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜、及聚合物薄膜,从而制得彩色滤光膜,所述彩色滤光膜包括数个红色量子棒聚合物薄膜、数个绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜、及数个聚合物薄膜;
步骤5、在所述彩色滤光膜上形成像素电极层,在所述像素电极层上形成第二配向膜,在所述第二配向膜上形成对应于黑色矩阵的数个光阻间隙物,从而制得一下基板;
步骤6、提供一上基板、及上偏光片,所述上基板包括第二基板、设于所述第二基板上的公共电极层、及设于所述公共电极层上的第三配向膜;
采用框胶对上基板与下基板进行密封连接,同时在所述上基板与下基板之间灌注液晶分子,形成液晶层,最后在所述上基板上方贴附上偏光片,完成COA型液晶显示面板的制作。
所述可反应性液晶的结构式为:
所述可反应性单体为含有两个或两个以上碳碳双键的丙烯酸酯类单体。
所述量子棒为包括CdSe核和CdS壳的量子棒。
所述步骤1中,所述数个子像素区域还包括数个白色子像素区域;所述步骤3还包括:在白色子像素区域中滴入包括可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒的混合物;经过步骤4的UV照射后,在白色子像素区域内形成红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜,从而制得的彩色滤光膜还包括数个红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜。
本发明还提供一种COA型液晶显示面板,包括相对设置的上基板与下基板、设于所述上基板与下基板之间周边位置的框胶、夹设于所述上基板与下基板之间的液晶层、以及贴附于所述上基板上表面的上偏光片;
所述下基板包括TFT基板、设于所述TFT基板上的黑色矩阵、设于所述TFT基板及黑色矩阵上的第一配向膜、设于所述第一配向膜上的彩色滤光膜、设于所述彩色滤光膜上的像素电极层、设于所述像素电极层上的第二配向膜、及设于所述第二配向膜上且对应于黑色矩阵设置的数个光阻间隙物;
其中,所述彩色滤光膜包括数个红色量子棒聚合物薄膜、数个绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜、及数个聚合物薄膜;所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜包含红色量子棒、以及可反应性液晶与可反应性单体在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜包含绿色量子棒、以及可反应性液晶与可反应性单体在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述聚合物薄膜包含可反应性液晶与可反应性单体在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜、绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜、及聚合物薄膜分别在蓝色背光的照射下发出红、绿、蓝光。
所述TFT基板包括第一基板、设于第一基板上的TFT层、及设于所述TFT层的钝化层;
所述上基板包括第二基板、设于所述第二基板上的公共电极层、及设于所述公共电极层上的第三配向膜。
所述彩色滤光膜还包括数个红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜,所述红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜包含红色量子棒、绿色量子棒、以及可反应性液晶与可反应性单体在UV光照下形成的聚合物,所述红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜在蓝色背光照射下发出白光。

为更进一步阐述本发明所采取的技术手段及其效果,以下结合本发明的优选实施例及其附图进行详细描述。
请参阅图1,本发明提供一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、如图2-4所示,提供一TFT基板11,所述TFT基板11包括第一基板110、设于第一基板110上的TFT层111、及设于所述TFT层111的钝化层112,在所述TFT基板11上制作黑色矩阵12,所述黑色矩阵12将所述TFT基板11划分为数个子像素区域120,所述数个子像素区域120包括数个红色子像素区域121、数个绿色子像素区域122、及数个蓝色子像素区域123。
具体的,所述黑色矩阵12同时起到RGB像素挡墙和遮光的作用。
步骤2、如图5-6所示,在所述TFT基板11及黑色矩阵12上涂布一层配向材料,并进行摩擦配向,得到第一配向膜13。
步骤3、如图7所示,在红色子像素区域121内滴入包括可反应性液晶100、可反应性单体200、及红色量子棒300的混合物,在绿色子像素区域122内滴入包括可反应性液晶100、可反应性单体200、及绿色量子棒400的混合物,在蓝色子像素区域123内滴入包括可反应性液晶100与可反应性单体200的混合物;
上述混合物滴下后,所述数个子像素区域120中的可反应性液晶100均沿所述第一配向膜13的配向方向排列,在所述红色子像素区域121、及绿色子像素区域122内,由于可反应性液晶100与红色量子棒300、及绿色量子棒400之间具有较强的分子间作用力,所述红色量子棒300、及绿色量子棒400会与可反应性液晶100沿相同的方向排列。
具体的,在每个子像素区域120内的混合物中,所述可反应性单体200的质量百分比均在90%以上,从而形成极高的浓度,在UV光照射下,可以迅速生成聚合物网络。
具体的,所述可反应性液晶(R-LC,reactiveliquidcrystal)100可以为含有刚性环状结构,中间连接基团,分子末端还包含双键结构的液晶分子,如:
具体的,所述可反应性单体(RM,reactivemonomer)200可以为含有两个或两个以上碳碳双键(-C=C-)的丙烯酸酯类单体,如:
具体的,所述量子棒(QR,Quantum-Rod)300/400为包括CdSe核和CdS壳的量子棒。所述量子棒受到激发后能发出红色、或绿色的光,所述量子棒发出的光的波长可以由核的尺寸(即,核的直径)来控制。
步骤4、如图8-9所示,对数个子像素区域120进行UV照射,使得每个子像素区域120内的可反应性单体200与可反应性液晶100发生反应,形成聚合物网络,在所述红色子像素区域121、及绿色子像素区域122内,所述红色量子棒300、及绿色量子棒400的排列方向被聚合物网络固定下来,在所述红色子像素区域121、绿色子像素区域122、及蓝色子像素区域123内分别形成红色量子棒聚合物薄膜141、绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜143、及聚合物薄膜145,从而制得彩色滤光膜14,所述彩色滤光膜14包括数个红色量子棒聚合物薄膜141、数个绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜143、及数个聚合物薄膜145。
具体的,所述步骤1中,所述数个子像素区域120还可以包括数个白色子像素区域;所述步骤3还包括:在白色子像素区域中滴入包括可反应性液晶100、可反应性单体200、红色量子棒300、及绿色量子棒400的混合物;经过步骤4的UV照射后,在白色子像素区域内形成红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜,从而使制得的彩色滤光膜14还包括数个红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜。
步骤5、如图10所示,在所述彩色滤光膜14上形成像素电极层15,在所述像素电极层15上形成第二配向膜16,在所述第二配向膜16上形成对应于黑色矩阵12的数个光阻间隙物17,从而制得一下基板10。
具体的,所述像素电极层15包括分别对应于数个数个子像素区域120的像素电极。
步骤6、如图11所示,提供一上基板20、及上偏光片30,所述上基板20包括第二基板21、设于所述第二基板21上的公共电极层22、及设于所述公共电极层22上的第三配向膜23;
采用框胶40对上基板20与下基板10进行密封连接,同时在所述上基板20与下基板10之间灌注液晶分子,形成液晶层50,最后在所述上基板20上方贴附上偏光片30,完成COA型液晶显示面板的制作。
具体的,所述第一配向膜13、第二配向膜16、及第三配向膜23的材料均为聚酰亚胺(PI)。
优选的,所述像素电极层15与公共电极层22的材料均为ITO(氧化铟锡)。
本发明的COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,采用可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒制成彩色滤光薄膜,由于其内的红色、绿色量子棒受到激发时产生的光线为偏振光,,并且由于其内的红色、绿色量子棒均沿同一方向排列,因此在受到背光激发后会产生偏振方向一致的红色或绿色的线偏振光,使得该方法制得的COA型液晶显示面板,不仅得到了鲜艳的三原色光提高了色饱和度,并且省略了下偏光片,降低了制作成本。

所述下基板10包括TFT基板11、设于所述TFT基板11上的黑色矩阵12、设于所述TFT基板11及黑色矩阵12上的第一配向膜13、设于所述第一配向膜13上的彩色滤光膜14、设于所述彩色滤光膜14上的像素电极层15、设于所述像素电极层15上的第二配向膜16、及设于所述第二配向膜16上且对应于黑色矩阵12设置的数个光阻间隙物17;
其中,所述彩色滤光膜14包括数个红色量子棒聚合物薄膜141、数个绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜143、及数个聚合物薄膜145;所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜141包含红色量子棒300、以及可反应性液晶100与可反应性单体200在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜143包含绿色量子棒400、以及可反应性液晶100与可反应性单体200在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述聚合物薄膜145包含可反应性液晶100与可反应性单体200在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜141、绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜143、及聚合物薄膜145分别在蓝色背光的照射下发出红、绿、蓝光。

具体的,本发明的COA型液晶显示面板中,所述彩色滤光膜14的滤光原理为:在蓝色背光照射下,所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜141中的红色量子棒300、以及绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜143中的绿色量子棒400分别在蓝色背光的激发下发出红、绿光,所述聚合物薄膜145为透明状,从而使得蓝色背光透过,发出蓝光,从而实现液晶显示面板的RGB三原色显示。
进一步的,所述彩色滤光膜14还可以包括数个红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜,所述红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜包含红色量子棒300、绿色量子棒400、以及可反应性液晶100与可反应性单体200在UV光照下形成的聚合物,在蓝色背光照射下,所述红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜中的红色量子棒300、及绿色量子棒400分别在蓝色背光的激发下发出红、绿光,所述红、绿光与蓝色背光混合形成白光。
具体的,所述可反应性液晶(R-LC,reactiveliquidcrystal)100可以为含有刚性环状结构,中间连接基团,分子末端还包含双键结构的液晶分子,如:

本发明提供的一种COA型液晶显示面板,采用由可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒聚合形成的彩色滤光薄膜来实现RGB三原色显示,不仅提高了色饱和度,而且由于彩色滤光薄膜在受到激发时能够产生偏振方向一直的偏振光,从而省略了下偏光片,降低了制作成本。
综上所述,本发明提供一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法及COA型液晶显示面板,采用可反应性液晶、可反应性单体、红色量子棒、及绿色量子棒制成彩色滤光薄膜,由于其内的红色、绿色量子棒在受到激发时产生的光线为偏振光,并且其内的红色、绿色量子棒均沿同一方向排列,因此在受到背光激发后会产生偏振方向一致的红色、绿色的线偏振光,使得该方法制得的COA型液晶显示面板,不仅得到了鲜艳的三原色光提高了色饱和度,并且省略了下偏光片,降低了制作成本。

Claims (10)

1.一种COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,其特征在于,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供一TFT基板(11),所述TFT基板(11)包括第一基板(110)、设于第一基板(110)上的TFT层(111)、及设于所述TFT层(111)的钝化层(112),在所述TFT基板(11)上制作黑色矩阵(12),所述黑色矩阵(12)将所述TFT基板(11)划分为数个子像素区域(120),所述数个子像素区域(120)包括数个红色子像素区域(121)、数个绿色子像素区域(122)、及数个蓝色子像素区域(123);
步骤2、在所述TFT基板(11)及黑色矩阵(12)上涂布一层配向材料,并进行摩擦配向,得到第一配向膜(13);
步骤3、在红色子像素区域(121)内滴入包括可反应性液晶(100)、可反应性单体(200)、及红色量子棒(300)的混合物,在绿色子像素区域(122)内滴入包括可反应性液晶(100)、可反应性单体(200)、及绿色量子棒(400)的混合物,在蓝色子像素区域(123)内滴入包括可反应性液晶(100)与可反应性单体(200)的混合物;
上述混合物滴下后,所述数个子像素区域(120)中的可反应性液晶(100)均沿所述第一配向膜(13)的配向方向排列,在所述红色子像素区域(121)、及绿色子像素区域(122)内,由于可反应性液晶(100)与红色量子棒(300)、及绿色量子棒(400)之间具有较强的分子间作用力,所述红色量子棒(300)、及绿色量子棒(400)会与可反应性液晶(100)沿相同的方向排列;
步骤4、对数个子像素区域(120)进行UV照射,使得每个子像素区域(120)内的可反应性单体(200)与可反应性液晶(100)发生反应,形成聚合物网络,在所述红色子像素区域(121)、及绿色子像素区域(122)内,所述红色量子棒(300)、及绿色量子棒(400)的排列方向被聚合物网络固定下来,在所述红色子像素区域(121)、绿色子像素区域(122)、及蓝色子像素区域(123)内分别形成红色量子棒聚合物薄膜(141)、绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜(143)、及聚合物薄膜(145),从而制得彩色滤光膜(14),所述彩色滤光膜(14)包括数个红色量子棒聚合物薄膜(141)、数个绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜(143)、及数个聚合物薄膜(145);
步骤5、在所述彩色滤光膜(14)上形成像素电极层(15),在所述像素电极层(15)上形成第二配向膜(16),在所述第二配向膜(16)上形成对应于黑色矩阵(12)的数个光阻间隙物(17),从而制得一下基板(10);
步骤6、提供一上基板(20)、及上偏光片(30),所述上基板(20)包括第二基板(21)、设于所述第二基板(21)上的公共电极层(22)、及设于所述公共电极层(22)上的第三配向膜(23);
采用框胶(40)对上基板(20)与下基板(10)进行密封连接,同时在所述上基板(20)与下基板(10)之间灌注液晶分子,形成液晶层(50),最后在所述上基板(20)上方贴附上偏光片(30),完成COA型液晶显示面板的制作。
2.如权利要求1所述的COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,其特征在于,所述可反应性液晶(100)的结构式为:
3.如权利要求1所述的COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,其特征在于,所述可反应性单体(200)为含有两个或两个以上碳碳双键的丙烯酸酯类单体。
4.如权利要求1所述的COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,其特征在于,所述量子棒(300/400)为包括CdSe核和CdS壳的量子棒。
5.如权利要求1所述的COA型液晶显示面板的制作方法,其特征在于,所述步骤1中,所述数个子像素区域(120)还包括数个白色子像素区域;所述步骤3还包括:在白色子像素区域中滴入包括可反应性液晶(100)、可反应性单体(200)、红色量子棒(300)、及绿色量子棒(400)的混合物;经过步骤4的UV照射后,在白色子像素区域内形成红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜,从而制得的彩色滤光膜(14)还包括数个红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜。
6.一种COA型液晶显示面板,其特征在于,包括相对设置的上基板(20)与下基板(10)、设于所述上基板(20)与下基板(10)之间周边位置的框胶(40)、夹设于所述上基板(20)与下基板(10)之间的液晶层(50)、以及贴附于所述上基板(20)上表面的上偏光片(30);
所述下基板(10)包括TFT基板(11)、设于所述TFT基板(11)上的黑色矩阵(12)、设于所述TFT基板(11)及黑色矩阵(12)上的第一配向膜(13)、设于所述第一配向膜(13)上的彩色滤光膜(14)、设于所述彩色滤光膜(14)上的像素电极层(15)、设于所述像素电极层(15)上的第二配向膜(16)、及设于所述第二配向膜(16)上且对应于黑色矩阵(12)设置的数个光阻间隙物(17);
其中,所述彩色滤光膜(14)包括数个红色量子棒聚合物薄膜(141)、数个绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜(143)、及数个聚合物薄膜(145);所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜(141)包含红色量子棒(300)、以及可反应性液晶(100)与可反应性单体(200)在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜(143)包含绿色量子棒(400)、以及可反应性液晶(100)与可反应性单体(200)在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述聚合物薄膜(145)包含可反应性液晶(100)与可反应性单体(200)在UV光照下形成的聚合物;所述红色量子棒聚合物薄膜(141)、绿色量子棒聚合物薄膜(143)、及聚合物薄膜(145)分别在蓝色背光的照射下发出红、绿、蓝光。
7.如权利要求6所述的COA型液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述TFT基板(11)包括第一基板(110)、设于第一基板(110)上的TFT层(111)、及设于所述TFT层(111)的钝化层(112);
所述上基板(20)包括第二基板(21)、设于所述第二基板(21)上的公共电极层(22)、及设于所述公共电极层(22)上的第三配向膜(23)。
8.如权利要求6所述的COA型液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述彩色滤光膜(14)还包括数个红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜,所述红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜包含红色量子棒(300)、绿色量子棒(400)、以及可反应性液晶(100)与可反应性单体(200)在UV光照下形成的聚合物,所述红绿量子棒聚合物薄膜在蓝色背光照射下发出白光。
9.如权利要求6所述的COA型液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述可反应性液晶(100)的结构式为:
10.如权利要求6所述的COA型液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述可反应性单体(200)为含有两个或两个以上碳碳双键的丙烯酸酯类单体;所述量子棒(300/400)为包括CdSe核和CdS壳的量子棒。
