技术领域
本发明大体上涉及数字内容的分配。更确切地说,本发明涉及通过内容产生装置向内容请求装置提供可能的超时事件的通知,以便保持兴趣存活于内容中心网络(CCN)中。
背景技术
互联网和电子商务的扩增持续产生大量的数字内容。内容中心网络(CCN)架构已经设计以促进访问和处理此类数字内容。CCN包含实体或节点,例如网络客户端、转发器(例如,路由器)及内容产生者,所述内容产生者通过发送针对各种内容项的兴趣包和接收返回的内容对象包而彼此通信。CCN兴趣和内容对象通过它们的唯一名称标识,所述名称通常是分层结构式可变长度标识符(HSVLI)。HVLI可以包含从最一般层级到最特定层级排序的连续名称成分。当通过网络将兴趣包从内容请求节点路由到内容产生节点时,每个中间CCN路由器在其待决兴趣表(PIT)中添加与所述兴趣相对应的项且将所述兴趣转发到下一CCN路由器。当将匹配的内容对象包从内容产生节点发送回到请求节点时,所述内容对象包沿着所述兴趣的逆向路径。每个中间CCN路由器沿着在相对应的PIT项中所列的请求接口转发内容对象,且随后去除PIT项,指示兴趣已经满足。

发明内容

概述
本发明的实施例提供一种系统,所述系统在内容产生装置(例如,服务器)需要另外的时间来产生匹配的内容对象以响应于来自内容请求装置(例如,客户端)的兴趣时促进处理可能的超时事件。在操作期间,内容产生者从内容请求者接收第一兴趣消息且确定需要另外的时间来产生匹配内容对象。内容产生者向内容请求者发送通知消息,且包含估计计算将采用的时间连同将用于随后发送的第二兴趣中的名称。通知消息可以是内容对象,其名称与第一兴趣消息的名称相同或不同。当通知消息通过网络行进返回时,每个中间路由器将逆向路径上的内容对象转发为第一兴趣且从其待决兴趣表(PIT)去除相对应的项。内容请求者接收通知消息且记录持续时间。一旦持续时间期满,内容请求者使用通知消息中提供的名称发送第二兴趣。内容产生者随后将具有第二兴趣名称的内容对象发送回到内容请求者。匹配的内容对象将匹配第一兴趣的内容包含为净荷。当内容对象通过网络行进返回时,每个中间路由器将逆向路径上的内容对象转发为第二兴趣且从其PIT去除相对应的项。
内容产生者负责通知内容请求者正在进行响应性内容对象的产生。中间CCN路由器不跟踪在内容产生者处的计算进展且不需要在计算时间的持续时间上维持与第一兴趣相关联的状态。因此,第一兴趣通过内容产生者对内容请求者的通知和由内容请求者发出的经适当延迟的第二兴趣而“保活”。此解决方案减少了不必要的PIT项超时的量且释放PIT空间,这转而通过减少CCN中经重新表达的所发送且未决的兴趣的数目来较少网络拥塞。
在CCN中,每一内容片个别地得到命名,且每一数据片绑定到唯一名称,所述唯一名称区分所述数据与任何其它数据片,例如,相同数据的其它版本或来自其它源的数据。此唯一名称允许网络装置通过散播指示唯一名称的请求或兴趣来请求数据,且可独立于数据的存储位置、网络位置、应用以及传输方式而获得数据。以下术语用于描述CCN架构:

兴趣:包,其指示对于数据片的请求,且包含所述数据片的名称(或名称前缀)。数据消费者可跨越信息中心网络散播请求或兴趣,CCN路由器可朝向存储装置(例如,缓存服务器)或可以提供所请求数据以满足所述请求或兴趣的数据产生者传播所述请求或兴趣。

图1图示根据本发明的实施例的促进内容请求装置处理可能的超时事件的示例性网络100。网络100可以包含内容请求装置116、内容产生装置118以及路由器或在节点102、104、106、108、110、112和114处的其它转发装置。节点可以是计算机系统、终端表示用户和/或可以生成兴趣或产生内容的装置。节点还可以是边缘路由器(例如,CCN节点102和114)或核心路由器(例如,中间CCN路由器104到112)。

Claims (9)
1.一种用于转发包的计算机实施的方法,所述方法包括:
通过内容产生装置从内容请求装置接收与第一兴趣消息相对应的包,其中所述第一兴趣包含名称;
响应于确定需要另外的时间来产生用于所述第一兴趣的匹配的内容对象,产生指示时间段的通知消息,在所述时间段之后将通过所述内容请求装置发送第二兴趣;以及
向所述内容请求装置发送所述通知消息;
响应于发送所述通知信息,由所述内容产生装置从所述内容请求装置接收所述第二兴趣;
由所述内容产生装置生成所述匹配的内容对象;
响应于接收所述第二兴趣,由所述内容产生装置向所述内容请求装置发送所述匹配的内容对象,
由此促进所述内容请求装置处理可能的超时事件。
2.一种用于促进包的转发的计算机系统,所述系统包括:
处理器;以及
存储指令的存储装置,所述指令在通过所述处理器执行时使得所述处理器执行一种方法,所述方法包括:
通过内容产生装置从内容请求装置接收与第一兴趣消息相对应的包,其中所述第一兴趣包含名称;
响应于确定需要另外的时间来产生用于所述第一兴趣的匹配的内容对象,产生指示时间段的通知消息,在所述时间段之后将通过所述内容请求装置发送第二兴趣;以及
向所述内容请求装置发送所述通知消息;
响应于发送所述通知信息,由所述内容产生装置从所述内容请求装置接收所述第二兴趣;
由所述内容产生装置生成所述匹配的内容对象;
响应于接收所述第二兴趣,由所述内容产生装置向所述内容请求装置发送所述匹配的内容对象,
由此促进所述内容请求装置处理可能的超时事件。
3.一种用于促进包的转发的计算机系统,所述系统包括:
处理器;以及
存储指令的存储装置,所述指令在通过所述处理器执行时使得所述处理器执行一种方法,所述方法包括:
通过内容请求装置产生与第一兴趣消息相对应的包,其中所述第一兴趣包含名称;
向内容产生装置发送所述第一兴趣;
接收指示时间段的通知消息,在所述时间段之后将发出第二兴趣;
响应于达到在所述通知消息中指示的所述时间段的期满,产生与所述第二兴趣消息相对应的包;以及
向所述内容产生装置发送所述第二兴趣;
接收匹配的内容对象以响应于所述第二兴趣,
由此促进所述内容请求装置处理可能的超时事件。
4.根据权利要求3所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括:
响应于发送所述第二兴趣,接收指示时间段的另外的通知消息,在所述时间段之后将发出第三兴趣。
5.根据权利要求3所述的计算机系统,其中所述通知消息进一步指示待发出的所述第二兴趣的名称,其中所述第二兴趣的所述名称与所述第一兴趣的所述名称相同或不同。
6.根据权利要求5所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括:
发送所述第二兴趣,其中所述第二兴趣包含在所述通知消息中指示的所述名称。
7.根据权利要求3所述的计算机系统,其中所述通知消息是内容对象。
8.根据权利要求3所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括:
从待决兴趣表(PIT)去除一项,其中所述项与所述第一兴趣相对应。
9.根据权利要求3所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括:
在待决兴趣表(PIT)中产生一项,其中所述项与所述第二兴趣相对应。
