技术领域

背景技术

发明内容

概述
本发明的实施例提供使用由CCN和IP节点组成的异构网络中的IP封装促进CCN消息分段的切入转发的系统。在此类网络中,当CCN兴趣或内容对象消息大于底层网络的最大传输单元(MTU)时,网络提供分段服务,例如,IP分段。CCN消息作为IP包中的有效负载承载,其随后使用IP分段进行分段,并且从请求CCN节点发送到目的IP地址处的CCN节点。接收CCN节点可以使用标准IPv4或IPv6协议堆栈以在每个CCN跃点处重新组装分段。然而,此方法引发延迟因为:1)CCN节点需要等待所有的IP包分段到达以便重新组装CCN消息并且确定下一CCN跃点;以及2)在重新组装之后,CCN消息可能需要重新分段用于随后跨越网络的传输。

以下术语描述CCN架构的元素:
内容对象:单个命名数据段,其结合到唯一名称。内容对象是“持久性的”,这意味着内容对象可以在计算装置内来回移动,或跨越不同计算装置移动,但是并不发生变化。如果内容对象的任何组成部分发生变化,那么形成变化的实体产生包含更新内容的新内容对象,并且经由新密码编译签名将新内容对象结合到新唯一名称。

兴趣:包,其指示对于数据段的请求,且包含所述数据段的名称(或名称前缀)。数据消费者可跨越信息中心网络散布请求或兴趣,CCN路由器可朝向可提供所请求数据以满足所述请求或兴趣的存储装置(例如,缓存服务器)或数据产生者传播所述请求或兴趣。

示例性网络和通信
图1说明根据本发明的一个实施例促进网络上CCN消息分段的切入转发的示例性网络100。网络100可包含客户端装置116、内容产生装置118和路由器或节点102、104、106、108、110、112和114处的其它转发装置。网络100可以是异构网络,其中节点102-114中的每一个可以是CCN路由器或纯IP路由器。举例来说,节点102、108、112和114可以是CCN路由器,而节点104、106和110可以是纯IP路由器。CCN路由器可以是驻留在IP路由器顶上的CCN转发装置。换句话说,CCN可以实施为IP上的覆盖。其它CCN覆盖架构也是可能的。节点可以是计算机系统、终端表示用户和/或可以生成兴趣或产生内容的装置。举例来说,请求CCN节点102可以在内容段中生成兴趣;中间CCN路由器108和112可以接收和转发消息分段;以及CCN内容产生者114可以满足请求兴趣。节点102可以在内容段中生成兴趣;对所述兴趣消息预先分段;添加分段标头到每个分段,并且转发兴趣分段到中间CCN路由器108。CCN路由器108可以确定分段标头是否指示流量识别符与HSVLI之间的映射关系。如果映射存在,那么CCN路由器108将消息分段转发到下一CCN节点。底层IP层随后重新写入IP标头使得目的IP地址指向下一CCN节点。如果映射关系并不存在,那么CCN路由器108将流量识别符映射到HSVLI、更新其PIT,并且将兴趣分段转发到下一CCN跃点(例如,CCN路由器112)。相同过程发生在每个中间CCN路由器处直至消息分段到达可以产生内容或其高速缓存含有请求内容的节点(例如,产生者114)。
内容产生者114可以接收兴趣分段、预先分段请求的内容对象、添加分段标头到每个分段包,并且沿兴趣的反向路径转发回内容对象分段。CCN路由器112可以接收分段并且通过继续遵循兴趣的反向路径转发内容对象分段(例如,到CCN路由器108以及到请求节点102上)。请求节点102接收所有内容对象分段并且重新组装内容对象。
接收和转发兴趣分段
图2呈现根据本发明的一个实施例图示用于接收和转发指示内容段中的兴趣的包的方法的流程图200。操作期间,系统(例如,中间CCN路由器)接收对应于CCN消息的分段并且含有分段标头的包(操作202)。如果包含有足够的信息来识别CCN兴趣(例如,内容名称,例如,阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI))(决策204),那么接收节点确定内容是否已经存在于其高速缓存中(决策210)。如果确实如此,那么系统前进到图5中所描绘的操作。如果包不含唯一识别符(例如,HSVLI),那么系统确定来自分段标头的流量识别符是否已经存在于本地数据结构中(决策206)。如果未在本地数据结构中发现流量识别符,那么这指示含有用于兴趣的唯一识别信息的第一分段尚未到达中间路由器。中间路由器可以缓冲分段并且继续接收和缓冲分段直至它接收含有识别信息的第一分段(操作208)。替代地,中间路由器可以丢弃包、发送通知消息到起始CCN节点,并且等待直至它接收相关分段(操作208)。

示例性计算机及通信系统
图9说明促进网络上的消息分段的切入转发的示例性计算机及通信系统902。计算机及通信系统902包含处理器904、存储器906和存储装置908。存储器906可包含易失性存储器(例如,RAM),所述易失性存储器充当管理存储器并且可用于储存一或多个内存池。此外,计算机及通信系统902可以耦接到显示装置910、键盘912和指向装置914。存储装置908可以储存操作系统916、内容处理系统918和数据932。
内容处理系统918可包含指令,当通过计算机及通信系统902执行所述指令时可以使得计算机及通信系统902执行本发明中描述的方法和/或过程。具体来说,内容处理系统918可以包含用于接收对应于消息的分段并且含有分段标头的包的指令(通信机构920)。内容处理系统918还可以包含用于在接收与消息相关联的所有分段之前基于分段标头作出针对包的转发决策的指令(转发机构928)。
内容处理系统918可以进一步包含指令用于响应于识别网络的最大传输单元(MTU)将消息分段成一或多个包,其中每个包的尺寸小于或等于网络的MTU(分段机构922)。内容处理系统918还可以含有用于生成识别一或多个包作为对应于消息的分段标头的指令(分段标头产生机构924),并且可以进一步生成对应于消息的阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI)的流量识别符(分段标头产生机构924)。

数据932可包含通过本发明中描述的方法和/或过程作为输入需要的或作为输出生成的任何数据。具体来说,数据932可以储存至少:对应于消息的分段并且含有分段标头的包;分段标头;指示分段对应于消息的流量识别符;指示对应于消息的分段的总数的分段计数;指示流中的分段的指数的分段数目;对应于由IP源地址组成的元组的分段流识别符;IP目的地址;指示在IP包中承载的较高层协议的协议字段;以及指示分段对应于消息的流量识别符;阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI),其包括从最常用层级到最特定层级的连续名称组分排序;含有分段标头与HSVLI之间的映射关系的数据结构;待决兴趣表(PIT);指示多个对应的内容分段已经提供用于兴趣的分段位图;指示多个对应的兴趣分段已经由中间节点接收到的分段位图;以及足以包封IP包并且跨越由CCN、IPv4和/或IPv6节点组成混合网络传输包的IP标头。
此具体实施方式中所描述的数据结构以及代码通常储存在计算机可读存储媒体上,所述计算机可读存储媒体可以是能储存计算机系统可用的代码和/或数据的任何装置或媒体。计算机可读存储媒体包含但不限于易失性存储器、非易失性存储器、磁性以及光学存储装置,例如磁盘驱动器、磁带、CD(光盘)、DVD(数字通用光盘或数字视频光盘)、或能够存储目前已知或稍后开发的计算机可读媒体的其它媒体。
在具体实施方式部分中所描述的方法和过程可以作为代码和/或数据实施,所述代码和/或数据可以储存在如上文所描述的计算机可读存储媒体中。当计算机系统读取并且执行储存在计算机可读存储媒体上的代码和/或数据时,计算机系统执行作为数据结构和代码实施且储存在计算机可读存储媒体内的方法和过程。
此外,上文所描述的方法和过程可以包含在硬件模块或设备中。所述硬件模块或设备可包含但不限于专用集成电路(ASIC)芯片、现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)、在特定时间执行特定软件模块或一段代码的专用处理器或共享处理器及现在已知或稍后研发的其它可编程逻辑装置。当激活硬件模块或设备时,这些硬件模块或设备执行其内部所包含的方法及过程。

Claims (10)

1.一种用于转发包的计算机实施的方法,所述方法包括:
接收对应于消息的分段并且含有分段标头的包,其中该分段标头识别所述分段为对应于所述消息;
在数据结构中储存所述分段标头与阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI)之间的映射关系,其中所述HSVLI包括从最常用层级到最特定层级排序的连续名称组分;以及
在接收与所述消息相关联的所有分段包之前基于所述分段标头作出用于所述包的转发决策,
由此促进所述消息分段在网络上的切入转发。
2.一种用于促进包的转发的计算机系统,所述系统包括:
处理器;以及
储存指令的存储装置,当通过所述处理器执行所述指令使得所述处理器执行方法,所述方法包括:
接收对应于消息的分段并且含有分段标头的包,其中该分段标头识别所述分段为对应于所述消息;
在数据结构中储存所述分段标头与阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI)之间的映射关系,其中所述HSVLI包括从最常用层级到最特定层级排序的连续名称组分;以及
在接收与所述消息相关联的所有分段包之前基于所述分段标头作出用于所述包的转发决策,
由此促进所述消息分段在网络上的切入转发。
3.根据权利要求2所述的计算机系统,其中所述分段标头包含:
流量识别符,其指示所述分段对应于所述消息;
分段计数,其指示对应于所述消息的分段的总数;以及
分段数目,其指示所述分段的指数。
4.根据权利要求2所述的计算机系统,其中所述数据结构进一步包括对应于元组的分段流识别符,其包含:
互联网协议(IP)源地址;
IP目的地址;
协议字段,其指示在IP包中承载的较高层协议;以及
流量识别符,其指示所述分段对应于所述消息。
5.根据权利要求2所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括保持待决兴趣表(PIT),其中所述PIT中相应的项指示待决兴趣、流量识别符、识别所述兴趣并且对应于所述流量识别符的阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI),以及指示已经提供用于所述兴趣的多个对应的内容分段的分段位图列。
6.根据权利要求2所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括:
使用外部互联网协议(IP)标头包封所述包以跨越混合网络传输所述包,其中所述混合网络包含与以下各项中的一或多个相关联的节点:
内容中心网络(CCN);
运行IP的版本四的网络;以及
运行IP的版本六的网络;
由此促进使用所述网络上的IP封装的所述消息分段的切入转发。
7.根据权利要求2所述的计算机系统,其中基于所述分段标头中的相同流量识别符,所述包含有响应于兴趣的内容对象,并且其中含有所述内容对象的所述包的尺寸与对应于兴趣的最大分段相比在尺寸上是相等的或更小的。
8.根据权利要求2所述的计算机系统,其中所述方法进一步包括:
通过请求节点确定网络的最大传输单元(MTU);
将消息分段成一或多个包,其中每个包的尺寸小于或等于所述网络的MTU;以及
生成识别所述一或多个包为对应于所述消息的分段标头。
9.根据权利要求8所述的计算机系统,其中生成所述分段标头进一步包括:
生成对应于所述消息的阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI)的流量识别符;
并且其中所述分段标头包含:
所述流量识别符;
分段计数,其指示对应于所述消息的分段的总数;以及
分段数目,其指示所述分段的指数。
10.一种储存指令的非暂时性计算机可读存储媒体,所述指令在由计算机执行时使得所述计算机执行方法,所述方法包括:
接收对应于消息的分段并且含有分段标头的包,其中该分段标头识别所述分段为对应于所述消息;
在数据结构中储存所述分段标头与阶层结构可变长度识别符(HSVLI)之间的映射关系,其中所述HSVLI包括从最常用层级到最特定层级排序的连续名称组分;以及
在接收与所述消息相关联的所有分段包之前基于所述分段标头作出用于所述包的转发决策,
由此促进所述消息分段在网络上的切入转发。
