Abstract

Description

本发明涉及一种光扫描装置,该装置根据三束处理(the  three-beam-process)对一个信息介质进行扫描,该信息介质上的数据轨迹在径向上对中心位置而言是有摆动的。
EP-A-0  256  984是一个公知的唱片形状的信息介质,其数据轨迹以一个中频(middle  frequency)摆动,因此数据轨迹是正弦形状。这种特殊形状的数据轨迹的优点是它们能包含附加信息(如有关位置的信息),但其缺点是摆动的数据轨迹将使循迹引导变得困难,因而对循迹控制电路有很高的要求。
因此,本发明的目的是在光扫描装置中,使用一个简单的循迹控制电路即使在信息介质上的数据轨迹摆动时也实现精确的循迹引导。
本发明是这样实现上述目标的:使分别产生循迹误差信号的信息介质上的+1阶和-1阶折射束之间的距离达到与中频相关的波长的整数倍,这样,数据轨迹将相对于其中央位置摆动。

图2中示出了信息介质CD上的一条摆动的数据轨迹S。使用主光束L1扫描数据。+1阶和-1阶折射光束间的距离(它将产生循迹误差信号)等于n,T,其中,n为一个整数,T为与中频相关的波长。这二个折射波束被称为L2和L3。
由于这二个波束之间的距离为摆动轨迹的波长T的n整数倍,摆动的数据轨迹便不能对折射波束L2和L3产生的循迹误差信号加以调制。基于这个理由,由数据轨迹摆动而产生的干扰变量便不会出现在循迹控制电路中,这样,循迹控制电路便可以做得和轨迹不摆动的介质盘一样简单,不需要对循迹控制电路提出更高的要求。

Claims (1)

1、一种按照三束处理对一个信息介质(CD)进行扫描的光扫描装置,上述的信息介质上的数据轨迹在径向上相对于中心位置发生摆动,其特征在于:
产生循迹误差信号的信息介质上的+1和-1阶折射束(L2,L3)之间的距离为和中频有关的波长的整数倍,这样,数据轨迹(S)将以上述波长相对于其中心位置摆动。
