Abstract

Description
1.技术领域
本发明涉及一种可用于处理不同的液体基质以去除顽固污染物的材料。本发明可以归类到属于具有环境中存在的主要污染物的水处理的领域。
2.背景技术
来自纺织工业的染料是主要的水污染源之一。这些物质减少了光的吸收,干扰水生植物光合作用,因此对水源的氧含量、逐步富营养化以及这些物质的生物体内累积有直接影响(AL-南克伯·C,等,2009(Al-Nakib.C.,et al.2009))。日常纺织工业将大量染料污水处理到河流中(森·S.,等,2003(Sen S.,et al,2003))。据估计,40到50%之间的初始染料浓度进入废水中(巴特纳加尔·A,等,2005(Bhatnagar,A.,etal.2005))。因此,创新以便获得用于染料污水的处理的新的替代选择是必要的。

最近,纳米结构的锰氧化物引起了关注,因为这些材料在一些工业生产过程中有前景的应用;例如,作为蓄电池系统中的主要组件和作为广泛的工业过程的催化剂。MnO2是锰氧化物中最重要的,其具有超过14种同质异像体(polymorph)并且考虑到其具有类似于碱性、碱土金属阳离子以及重金属阳离子的尺寸的空腔和隧道的内部结构被广泛地使用。因此,MnO2代表一种用于潜在应用例如分子筛和水软化系统的有前景的材料(斯滔布·E,等,1999(Stobbe,E.,et al.1999))。
有一些文摘和公开内容描述了溶液中MnO2纳米粒子的合成与表征。最常见的步骤包含用适当的还原剂进行Mn(VII)盐的还原(斯滔布·E,等,1999)。锰(VII)在表面活性剂的存在下声化学水相还原也用于在溶液中合成MnO2纳米粒子。公开内容示出了使用超声法获得的MnO2纳米粒子在尺寸和形状上更均匀。另外,据报道,长时间暴露于超声波中允许Mn(IV)还原成Mn2+离子(斯滔布·E,等,1999)。
观察到的溶液中的纳米粒子有趣的性质表明,这些材料如果在固相中合成,固定在载体上,可以在应用中具有更多的功能性。因此,避免了用有机单分子层的纳米粒子“保护”处理,最终防止材料的表面的使用。已经报道了考虑使用硝酸锰作为前驱体在介孔二氧化硅通道(SBA-15)内的一步合成二氧化锰纳米晶的合成方法。在SBA-15中形成MnO2纳米晶是通过微波消解来进行的,导致40%的介孔载体体积被金属氧化物占据(朱,S,等,2006(Zhu,S.,et al.2006))。
在2004年,开发了一种有效的技术创造“双溶剂法”,其允许完全填充SBA-15的孔。第一合成步骤是通过两种溶剂将无机前驱体混合到SBA-15通道中,这有利于前驱体离子从反应混合物转移到介孔二氧化硅通道的表面。下一步骤是通过热处理将前驱体连接到孔中,这个过程诱导转化为氧化物纳米粒子。示出的这种方法的缺点是不能控制合成的氧化物的形貌(朱,S,等,2006)。
并行地,声化学法已用于在较短的反应时间中生成新型材料。据报道,通过声化学法获得的氧化物的纳米晶材料呈现出比通过常规方法获得的材料的高纯度(朱,S,等,2006)。超声波的化学效应是由于导致液体中气泡的形成、生长和溃灭的声空化现象,用超声波辐射给予溶液特定性质。声空化在水和其它水溶液中产生活性基团。这些活性基团具有非常高的温度、压力和冷却速率,可以将金属离子还原为金属或金属氧化物纳米粒子(朱,S,等,2006)。
在2006年,朱申敏等(朱,S,等,2006)报道了使用SBA-15作为二氧化硅基质和HCl水溶液中的KMnO4作为前驱体在超声波的存在下进行6小时合成介孔MnO2。X射线衍射分析表明,MnO2反应产物是无定形的,具有少量纳米晶相。此外,电子显微镜分析证实纳米结构的均相合成。
如所示的,介孔二氧化硅和表面活性剂物质已经广泛地用于纳米结构氧化物的制备。近年来,使用生物载体的兴趣增加,因为它们有趣的结构在纳米粒子的合成中是有用的。相较于其他介质,生物材料是“生态友好”并且容易获得。生物材料的结构在纳米结构氧化物的组装中提供可以复制模板形貌学以及甚至它的功能的稳定且可控的条件(王,H,等,2010(Wang H.,et al.2010))。
在2009年,王焕琴与同事(王,H,等,2010)报道了使用棉花作为载体且KMnO4作为前驱体合成具有二级纳米结构的MnO2微纤维(microfiber)。为了改善棉花的多孔结构并为MnO4 -离子插入到纤维中创造合适的离子环境,棉花用HCl和NaOH水溶液处理。少量处理过的棉花分散在KMnO4水溶液中,并且随后进行6小时的超声波辐射。最后,将样品干燥并在500℃煅烧。通过上述处理,得到了MnO2微纤维,MnO2纳米棒和纳米粒子在MnO2微纤维上生长,同时在合成过程中KMnO4浓度增加。
锰氧化物是非常强的氧化剂。据报道,Mn3+和Mn4+的氧化物和氢氧化物可以氧化无机污染物如Cr(III)和Co(II)配合物以及有机污染物像取代酚类,芳族胺,炸药和农药。在2009年,AI-南克伯·乔杜里(Al-Nakib.C.Chowdhury)等(AI-南克伯·C,等,2009)测试了Mn3O4氧化降解水中的染料的催化活性。
用亚甲蓝(MB)和普鲁士红(PR)染料的水溶液以及来自孟买(印度)纺织厂的废水样品进行脱色实验。一般来说,脱色实验包含混合染料样品,pH为3,恒定搅拌悬浮液中的确定量的Mn3O4纳米粒子并使用紫外可见光(UV-Vis)光谱监测反应。得到的谱图表明MB溶液在加入纳米粒子一分钟后脱色75%。PR溶液在24小时后完全脱色。关于当地纺织厂的废水样品,显示出其在加入纳米粒子24小时后在310nm处的强吸收峰减小超过70%。结论是通过强制水解法制备的纳米结构的Mn3O4代表一种在水中染料氧化降解方面有前景的材料(AI-南克伯·C,等,2009)。
在2010年,曹广胜等(曹,G,等,2010(Cao,G.,et al.2010))报道了一种水热法合成MnO2α和β纳米棒并评价了其在罗丹明B(Rhodamine B,RB)和MB的氧化中的催化效率。染料的催化氧化通过混合H2O2溶液和一定量的MnO2纳米棒(单独MnO2-α和MnO2-β相)来进行。反应混合物的紫外可见光光谱表明H2O2本身不能使溶液脱色。单独的催化剂的使用允许20分钟内8%的脱色度。催化剂和H2O2的组合允许90分钟内95%的RB溶液脱色。至于MB溶液,相比于当使用MnO2-α纳米棒时,当使用MnO2-β纳米棒时取得了更大的脱色。催化剂的表面积的计算表明,相比于MnO2-α相,MnO2-β具有更大的表面积并因此具有更多暴露的催化剂位点。
3.发明内容
本发明包含一种由硬纤维制成的材料(其用作过滤材料),金属或金属氧化物纳米粒子使用几种技术沉积在硬纤维上;优选第IV族过渡金属氧化物用于液体基质中的污染物(例如,如亚甲蓝或靛蓝胭脂红染料,或工业残留水中的酚类)的降解和去除。所述降解和去除通过材料和受污染的基质的直接接触简单地发生,其在接触5分钟之后具有98%的去除效率。本发明也包括一种原位合成材料的方法,其包含以下步骤:a)改变硬纤维的静电环境;b)将硬纤维浸渍在金属或金属氧化物前驱体溶液中;c)将金属或金属氧化物粒子沉积到纤维表面上;以及d)可选地,清洁所得到的材料。
本发明所得到的材料是可生物降解的,具有高的机械阻力且可重复使用。此外,它可以使用市场上可买到的可生物降解的元件来合成。降解过程是在不均匀相中进行,结合了纳米粒子材料的高催化能力和纤维素类聚合物的刚性和高度多孔结构。

5.具体实施方式
本发明包含一种材料(其用作过滤材料),其由硬纤维组成,在硬纤维中使用不同的技术沉积金属或金属氧化物纳米粒子,其用于降解和去除存在于液体基质(例如,如亚甲基蓝或靛蓝胭脂红的染料,酚类或工业废水)中的污染物。这种降解和去除通过材料和被污染的基质的直接接触发生,并且在接触5分钟后具有98%的去除效率。
硬天然纤维是来源于单子叶植物叶子的那些纤维,其中每个纤维是相关的纤维的维管束,具有高木质素含量且质硬。赫纳昆纤维(henequen)、剑麻(sisal)和菲奎叶纤维(fique)属于硬天然纤维。为了在此说明的目的,还有合成纤维可以归类为“硬”纤维,并且本质上是那些可呈现类似天然硬纤维结构、形貌和物理化学特性的合成纤维。硬合成纤维的例子包括涤纶,芳纶,以及其他。
此外,纳米粒子是直径小于1000nm的原子或分子簇。纳米粒子具有比具有微观尺寸的材料(美国试验材料学会E2456-06(ASTM E2456-06))更好的光学、电子和催化性能。这样的材料可以作为胶体存在于液相中,作为气凝胶存在于气相中以及作为固定在载体上的离散单元存在于固相中(纳维洛斯奇·A,等,2004(Navrotsky,A.,et al.2004))(董,H,等,2009(Dong,H.,et al.2009))。
纳米粒子由于增加的表面积/体积比具有新颖的性能和应用,这发生在纳米尺度水平,这引起包含纳米粒子的表面的更高百分比的原子或分子。当物质的纳米粒子成为另一种材料如合成聚合物的一部分时,它们影响其性能。例如,某些聚合物可以通过包括金属纳米粒子来增强,导致更强的材料,具有替换某些金属的能力(王,L,等,2007(Wang,L.,et al.2007))。具体地,本发明包含一种由以下材料组成的材料:

优选的是,载体是基于硬天然纤维,如赫纳昆纤维、剑麻和菲奎叶纤维。同样地,优选的是,本发明的材料尤其包含第IV组过渡金属氧化物,如Fe,Zn,Co,Ni,Mn和Cu。对于本申请来说,术语“生物纳米复合材料”是指本发明的材料。
这种技术的创新之处在于具体结合了由硬纤维负载的纳米粒子的催化性能。换言之,纤维负载纳米粒子允许这种新材料在非均相中用作催化剂。这意味着催化材料的以下方面得到了充分改善:增加的表面积,允许基底的转变的更大数量的活性位点;由于其稳定性提高了材料再利用性,纤维-纳米粒子的相互作用改善了材料的刚度,因为纳米粒子牢固地结合到纤维上,导致制作用于制造过滤器的纱线的可能性;生物降解性,如果纤维主要是由高度可生物降解的纤维素组成。
本发明还提出了一种通过硬纤维基载体和金属或金属氧化物纳米粒子原位合成复合材料的方法,该方法包含以下步骤:
a)改变硬纤维的静电环境(例如:通过用HCl/NaOH化学处理改变表面的极性);
b)将硬纤维浸泡在金属或金属氧化物前驱体试剂的溶液中;
c)通过超声的应用在纤维中沉积金属或金属氧化物纳米粒子;以及
d)洗涤,干燥和清洁所得到的材料。
在另一个实施例中,合成本发明的材料的方法包含以下步骤:
a)将硬纤维浸泡在金属或金属氧化物前驱体试剂的溶液中;
b)在恒定搅拌的情况下将乙醇加入到混合物中;
c)静置最终的混合物;
d)洗涤,干燥和清洁所得到的材料。

优选的是,载体是由硬纤维制成,例如赫纳昆纤维,剑麻和菲奎叶纤维。同样地,优选的是,金属氧化物是第IV族过渡金属氧化物,如Fe,Zn,Co,Ni,Mn和Cu氧化物。

实施例1:在菲奎叶纤维上原位合成和生产Mn3O4纳米粒子。
改变菲奎叶纤维的静电环境之后的步骤。
a)将干净的菲奎叶纤维浸泡在质量分数为6%的HCl水溶液中;
b)将菲奎叶纤维转移到质量分数为6%的NaOH水溶液中;
c)在60℃干燥纤维15小时。
将改性的菲奎叶纤维浸渍在5mM的MnSO4H2O前驱体溶液中。溶液用超声辐射25分钟(20至40kHz,130W)。然后,将纤维转移至85℃的NH4OH水溶液中持续1小时内。最后,所得到的材料在100℃氧化性气氛下进行干燥。使用几个前驱体溶液,例如:0.5,1.0,5.0,30.0和100.0mM。同样地,纤维在前驱体溶液中的浸渍时间也从12.5至50分钟变化。为了实现5mM MnSO4H2O浓度,NH4OH的化学计量量也改变。该前驱体也变化,使用MnCl24H2O。
实施例2:在菲奎叶纤维的表面上原位合成MnO2纳米粒子。
菲奎叶纤维的静电环境改变是通过阳离子化来具体实现的,为了使此发生:菲奎叶纤维浸泡在5%wt的HCl水溶液中,在室温下浸泡3小时。然后,将纤维从溶液中取出并用充足的水洗涤。此后,将纤维浸泡在6%wt的NaOH溶液中,在60℃浸泡3小时。最后,将纤维在80℃干燥。
纳米粒子合成是通过将改性纤维浸泡在5mM的KMnO4溶液中40分钟来实现。在浸泡时间期间,菲奎叶纤维-KMnO4溶液用超声辐射(在20至40kHz之间,130W)。最后,将纤维从前体溶液中取出,在60℃干燥一晚上。前驱体试剂溶液浓度是变化的:对2,5,10,30和100mM浓度进行了测试。
实施例3:在菲奎叶纤维上原位合成MnO2纳米粒子。
该方法是实施例2的合成方法的变体。该方法包括将菲奎叶纤维浸渍在KMnO4前驱体溶液中持续30分钟;接着在恒定搅拌下加入20mL乙醇(分析级);允许反应混合物在2小时内达到平衡。最后,将改性纤维在60℃下进行干燥。
实施例4:使用实施例2中的材料降解水中的靛蓝胭脂红。
该材料具有使靛蓝胭脂红的原液脱色的氧化能力。对于这种染料,溶液的pH值对于试验中得到的降解百分比是至关重要的。pH为2.5的溶液酸度允许在5分钟内染料降解大于97%。
考虑MnO2纳米粒子具有高pH值下的净负电荷是重要的(见斯瑞卡达卡玛·T,等,2009(Sriskandakumar,T.,et al.2009))。当浸渍在溶液中时,靛蓝胭脂红溶液酸度导致本发明的材料的表面极性的变化。在脱色实验期间MnO2的正极性允许导致降解反应的靛蓝胭脂红(具有净负电荷的分子)和MnO2之间的相互作用。考虑到催化过程是通过表面机制进行的是重要的,这是唯一可能的,如果寻求降解的分子与催化剂粒子接触(见AI-南克伯·C,等,2009)。图10示出了染料的降解过程的视觉和光谱进展。
图11示出了增加前驱体浓度降低去除染料百分比。这是由于增加材料粒子的尺寸减小其染料降解反应活性这样的事实(Zhang.Z.,等,1998(Zhang.Z.,et al.1998))。

降解副产物的质谱(MS)鉴定
MS用来研究靛蓝胭脂红降解产物。图12示出了靛蓝胭脂红水溶液的初始MS谱图和反应5分钟后得到的降解产物的谱图。在MS谱图中示出的靛蓝胭脂红分子的阴离子(m/z 421)呈现的原始溶液谱图(图12a)在降解产物谱图中没有检测到。在图12b所示的谱图中,质荷比为202,217,226,232,244,297,390和405的阴离子检测表明降解产物的形成。
在图13中,质荷比为244的离子的裂解产生m/z 226(H2O损失)和m/z 200(CO2损失)的两个碎片离子;此外,m/z 200的离子的裂解产生m/z 172(CO损失)和m/z 120(SO3损失)的碎片离子。因此,降解产物的裂解模式导致他们的鉴定。表2示出了主要降解产物的碎片离子的概要。此外,图14示出了主要降解产物的裂解模式的质谱。

菲奎叶纤维和金属氧化物(MnO2)纳米粒子合成的材料表征
a)在菲奎叶纤维的表面上合成的氧化物的鉴定
方法有红外光谱法,光声光谱法和传统的固体红外光谱法:在合成过程之后可以从溶液回收的固体的红外光谱允许鉴定沉积在菲奎叶纤维的表面上的锰氧化物。为了证实这种鉴定,检查菲奎叶纤维纤维素在合成反应期间没有化学改变是必要的。为了这个目的,借助于红外光声光谱法进行生物纳米复合材料和菲奎叶纤维的红外分析。
图2示出了原始菲奎叶纤维,改变静电环境的菲奎叶纤维(阳离子化菲奎叶纤维)和通过声化学法合成的MnO2生物纳米复合材料的红外光谱。位于1430cm-1(图3a)处的峰可以对应于纤维素的-CH2-的弯曲振动;位于900cm-1处的峰可以对应于糖苷键β-(14)的一部分C-O-C的伸缩运动。这两个峰是结晶纤维素II的特征(郭·C·H,等,2009(Kuo,CH,et al.2009))。根据光谱的分析,可以得出结论,菲奎叶纤维的纤维素不参与MnO2的声化学合成的反应。
图3示出了从声化学合成的最终反应溶液中回收的固体的红外光谱。该光谱显示出在520,474和419cm-1处的MnO2的典型峰。这得出固定在菲奎叶纤维的表面上的物质是MnO2的结论。(梁,S,等,2008(Liang,S.,et al.2008))。
b)通过X射线光电子能谱(XPS)研究纳米结构的锰氧化物和菲奎叶纤维表面之间的相互作用。
这种类型的分析证实了在菲奎叶纤维上合成的纳米粒子的身份。此外,XPS光谱得到了MnO2纳米粒子通过组成菲奎叶纤维的纤维素的葡萄糖单元固定的结论,如以下所解释的。
MnO2生物纳米复合材料(使用超声法合成):
锰氧化物与菲奎叶纤维的表面的相互作用使用XPS进行研究。图4通过超声合成法得到的MnO2生物纳米复合材料的谱图呈现出了锰电子态2p1/2(659.1eV)和2p3/2(647.3eV)的峰。这些峰之间的距离为8.11eV,这是MnO2中存在的Mn(IV)的典型峰(莫尔德·J·F,等,1995(Moulder,JF,et al.1995))。
据文献中报道的电子结合能,2p1/2和2p3/2Mn峰具有朝向高能带的5.3eV的偏移。一般地,已经确定,朝向高结合能的偏移对应于氧化态的增加(史哈布徳黑恩·M,等,2010(Shihabudheen,M.,et al.2010))。
对于沉积在载体上的材料,无论是最初合成的无机的或聚合物材料,朝向更高结合能的偏移不一定意味着锰的氧化态的增加。在这种情况下,偏移表明有与锰配位的氧原子,并且这与氧化态无关(拉达克里希南·R,等,2001(Radhakrishnan,R.,et al.2001))。这些配位氧原子来自菲奎叶纤维的纤维素表面。
据报道,沉积在阵列中的纳米粒子的结合能朝向更高能量的偏移表示载体和纳米粒子之间的强烈的相互作用,这种强烈的相互作用导致其接合的稳定(博克·C,等,2009(Bock,C.,et al.2009))。因此,可以说明载体影响锰峰的化学位移,因而影响纳米粒子稳定性。
从含有高密度氧原子的载体中报道的稳定模型得到的在纤维素载体上MnO2纳米粒子的稳定模型,示出如下:

在表3中,记录了不同的载体上固定的MnO2的2p3/2峰的结合能和其相对于游离粒子MnO2的2p3/2峰的偏移。可以观察到,不具有氧或强电负性基团的载体的偏移是最小的(小于0.2)。另外,在表1中,应当注意的是,当固定在来自印度的一种类型的纤维素纤维上和来自菲奎叶纤维的纤维素上时锰显示出不同的偏移。

因此,图4所示的XPS光谱的结果证实固定在菲奎叶纤维上的纳米结构的MnO2的身份。此外,这些结果表明,合成的纳米粒子和菲奎叶纤维之间的结合是稳定的。
c)菲奎叶纤维的表面形貌的研究:合成的生物纳米复合材料的显微镜分析。
菲奎叶纤维的显微镜分析表明,它的表面形貌是高度不均匀的。该纤维是由螺旋状微纤维、微观直径的通道(4-7μm)、微孔和空腔(图5)组成,微孔和空腔提供MnO2-纳米结构合成发生的位点。
包含菲奎叶纤维和MnO2的生物纳米复合材料的显微镜图像显示出在所述纤维的表面上合成锰氧化物纳米结构是可能的。FESEM图像表明得到直径为115-235nm之间的球形离散纳米粒子(图6a)是可能的,这在当合成中使用低前驱体浓度时(5mM)发生。在图6b中,可以看出,高浓度KMnO4(50mM)的使用引起纳米结构的团聚,直径为55和320nm之间的纳米粒子和纳米棒在其上生长。
在图7B中,示出了通过声化学合成(前驱体浓度为2mM)得到的纳米粒子的FESEM图像;在MnO2团聚体的表面上合成的纳米粒子的尺寸范围为从20至30nm。在图7D中,示出了通过乙醇合成法(前驱体浓度为2mM)得到的MnO2生物纳米复合材料的FESEM图像;合成的纳米粒子的尺寸范围为40-80nm。区分通过超声合成法获得的材料的尺寸分布和平均尺寸小于通过乙醇合成法获得的材料的尺寸分布和平均尺寸是可能的。因此,用超声法合成的生物纳米复合材料呈现出更大的表面积且因此呈现降解水中的靛蓝类染料的更大的活性。
图8示出了MnO2生物纳米复合材料的FESEM图像,其中领会构成菲奎叶纤维的一部分的通道和微纤维之间的MnO2纳米结构的存在是可能的。重要的是,注意MnO2纳米粒子在菲奎叶纤维的某些地方的放置诱导机械性能的改善,例如增加拉伸强度。
d)通过UV-vis光谱表征合成的材料。
图9示出了合成的材料的UV-vis漫反射光谱,使用原始菲奎叶纤维作为参考样品。观察到的最小反射率,随着前驱体的浓度增加,向较长波长偏移。这表明在合成中增加KMnO4浓度导致合成的纳米结构的尺寸增加(林克·S,等,1999(Link,S.,et al.1999))。

9.根据权利要求7所述的材料,其特征在于,金属氧化物是Mn3O4。
10.一种按照以下步骤原位合成由硬纤维载体和沉积在载体上的金属氧化物或金属纳米粒子组成的复合材料的方法:
a)改变纤维的静电环境;
b)将硬纤维浸渍在含有金属或金属氧化物前驱体的溶液中;
c)在硬纤维上沉积金属或金属氧化物纳米粒子;以及
d)可选地,洗涤和清洁所得到的材料。
11.根据权利要求10所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,使用超声辐射一段时间实现金属或金属氧化物的沉积。
12.根据权利要求11所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,超声辐射频率为20和40kHz之间。
13.根据权利要求11所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,超声辐射的时间在20和50分钟之间。
14.根据权利要求11所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,金属或金属氧化物的沉积是通过乙醇溶液实现的。
15.根据权利要求14所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,乙醇溶液具有工业级浓度。
16.根据权利要求10所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,硬纤维是从由赫纳昆纤维、剑麻和菲奎叶纤维组成的组中选择的。
17.根据权利要求16所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,天然硬纤维是菲奎叶纤维。
18.根据权利要求10所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,金属是从第IV族选择的。
19.根据权利要求18所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,第IV族过渡金属是从由Fe、Zn、Co、Ni、Mn和Cu组成的组中选择的。
20.根据权利要求19所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,第IV族过渡金属是Mn。
21.根据权利要求10所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,金属氧化物是第IV族过渡金属氧化物。
22.根据权利要求21所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,金属氧化物是MnO2。
23.根据权利要求21所述的获得材料的原位合成方法,其特征在于,金属氧化物是Mn3O4。
