Abstract
本发明提供即使环境温度变化也能够保持稳定的燃烧性能的气体发生剂组合物。该气体发生剂组合物含有(a)燃料、(b)氧化剂,且满足条件(I)及(II):(I)在包含于‑40~85℃范围内的任意环境温度下点火燃烧时的燃烧温度为燃烧残渣中包含的物质的熔点;(II)在‑40℃及85℃的环境温度下点火燃烧时的燃烧温度之差小于125K。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及能够在气囊装置用气体发生器中使用的气体发生剂组合物。
背景技术
气体发生器的运转时的输出因运转时的外部环境温度而改变。基于这样的情况,使发生输出在气体发生器的运转时间内稳定在所期望的范围内,对于作为安全装置的气囊用气体发生器而言是重要的课题。
在日本特开平8-175312号公报中,进行了通过在气体发生器内设置用于吸收燃烧中在燃烧室内产生的压力变动的缓冲室来排除气体发生器的输出变动的尝试。
在日本专利第2989788号公报(日本特开平10-181516号公报)中,通过将气体发生量和气体发生器的气体排出口的开口面积相关联,使气体发生器的输出稳定化。
在日本专利第3476771号公报(日本特开2001-226188公报)、日本专利第4498927号公报(国际公开2004/048296号公报)中,涉及下述发明:通过设计气体发生剂成型体的形状,使气体发生剂成形体燃烧时的发生气体量保持为恒定,由此使发生压力稳定。
发明内容
作为解决问题的方法,本发明提供一种气体发生剂组合物,其含有(a)燃料、(b)氧化剂,且满足条件(I)及(II)。
(I)在包含于-40~85℃范围内的任意环境温度点火燃烧时的燃烧温度为燃烧残渣中包含的物质的熔点;
(II)在-40℃及85℃的环境温度点火燃烧时的燃烧温度之差小于125K。
另外,本发明提供一种气体发生剂组合物,其含有(a)燃料(其中,不包含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属)15~30质量%、(b)包含(b-1)碱式硝酸铜和(b-2)碱式碳酸铜的氧化剂85~70质量%,在(b-1)和(b-2)的总量中,(b-1)为60~70质量%,(b-2)为40~30质量%,该组合物不包含金属氢氧化物,并且满足条件(I)及(II):
(I)在包含于-40~85℃范围内的环境温度点火燃烧时的燃烧温度为铜的熔点(1358K)。
(II)在-40℃及85℃的环境温度点火燃烧时的燃烧温度之差小于125K。

具体实施方式
就日本特开平8-175312号公报而言,不可避免气体发生器的大型化,难以应对如今对于气体发生器小型化的要求。
在日本专利第2989788号公报中,并非通过积极地控制气体发生剂本身的性能来使气体发生器的输出稳定化。
在日本专利第3476771号公报、日本专利第4498927号公报中,如果燃烧时的温度、压力发生变化,则来自气体发生剂的气体发生量本身会发生改变,因此,为了获得更加稳定的输出性能,需要进一步的改良。
本发明的课题在于提供即使在运转时发生环境温度的改变也能够保持稳定的燃烧状态、在应用于气体发生器时能够保持稳定的输出的气体发生剂组合物。
本发明的组合物即使在运转时发生环境温度的改变也能够保持稳定的燃烧状态。
发明的实施方式
<(a)燃料>
作为本发明的气体发生剂组合物所含的燃料,可使用选自以下列举的燃料中的1种或2种以上。
硝酸胍、氨基胍硝酸盐、硝基胍、三氨基胍硝酸盐、
三聚氰胺、氰脲酸、氰脲酸三聚氰胺、三聚氰酸二酰胺、三聚氰酸一酰胺等三嗪化合物、
三亚甲基三硝胺(RDX)、环四亚甲基四硝胺(HMX)、偶氮二酰胺(ADCA)、双氰胺(DCDA)等硝基胺类化合物、
5-氨基四唑(5-AT)、5-氨基四唑金属盐等四唑衍生物、
双四唑、双四唑金属盐、双四唑铵盐等双四唑衍生物。
进一步优选燃料不包含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属,优选其包含下述第一燃料成分和下述第二燃料成分的组合,所述第一燃料成分选自三聚氰胺、氰脲酸三聚氰胺中的1种以上,所述第二燃料成分选自硝基胍、5-氨基四唑中的1种以上。
这些之中,氰脲酸三聚氰胺和硝基胍的组合能够降低放热量,并且可通过与氧化剂组合而减小压力指数,故优选。
<(b)氧化剂>
(b)氧化剂优选含有选自碱式金属硝酸盐、碱式碳酸盐、硝酸盐、硝酸铵、高氯酸盐及氯酸盐中的至少1种。
作为碱式金属硝酸盐,可以列举选自碱式硝酸铜、碱式硝酸钴、碱式硝酸锌、碱式硝酸锰、碱式硝酸铁、碱式硝酸钼、碱式硝酸铋及碱式硝酸铈中的至少1种。
作为碱式碳酸盐,可以列举选自碱式碳酸钴、碱式碳酸锌、碱式碳酸钙、碱式碳酸镍、碱式碳酸镁或碱式碳酸铜中的至少1种。
作为硝酸盐,可以列举硝酸钾、硝酸钠等碱金属硝酸盐和硝酸锶等碱土金属硝酸盐等。
作为高氯酸盐和氯酸盐,可以列举选自高氯酸铵、高氯酸钾、高氯酸钠、氯酸钾、氯酸钠中的至少1种。
这些之中,氧化剂优选为包含(b-1)碱式硝酸铜和(b-2)碱式碳酸铜的氧化剂。
就(b-1)和(b-2)的比例而言,优选在它们的总量中,(b-1)为60~70质量%,(b-2)为30~40质量%。
作为成分(a)燃料和成分(b)氧化剂在总量中的比例,成分(a)为15~30质量%、优选为20~25质量%,成分(b)为85~70质量%、优选为80~75质量%。
本发明的气体发生剂组合物也可以进一步含有(c)粘合剂(其中,不含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属)和/或(d)燃烧改良剂(其中,不含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属)。
<(c)粘合剂>
本发明的组合物可以进一步含有粘合剂。粘合剂不含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属。
作为粘合剂,可以列举选自下组中的1种或2种以上:羧甲基纤维素(CMC)、羧甲基纤维素钠盐(CMCNa)、羧甲基纤维素钾盐、羧甲基纤维素铵盐、乙酸纤维素、乙酸丁酸纤维素(CAB)、甲基纤维素(MC)、乙基纤维素(EC)、羟乙基纤维素(HEC)、乙基羟乙基纤维素(EHEC)、羟丙基纤维素(HPC)、羧甲基乙基纤维素(CMEC)、微晶纤维素、聚丙烯酰胺、聚丙烯酰胺的氨基化物、聚丙烯酰肼、丙烯酰胺-丙烯酸金属盐共聚物、聚丙烯酰胺-聚丙烯酸酯化合物的共聚物、聚乙烯醇、丙烯酸橡胶、瓜尔胶、淀粉、有机硅。这些之中,考虑到粘合剂的粘结性能、价格、点火性等,优选羧甲基纤维素钠盐(CMCNa)。
<(d)燃烧改良剂>
在能够解决本发明的课题的范围内,本发明的组合物可以进一步含有燃烧改良剂。燃烧改良剂不包含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属。
作为燃烧改良剂,可以列举选自下组中的1种以上:氧化铜、氧化铁、氧化锌、氧化钴、氧化锰、氧化钼、氧化镍、氧化铋、二氧化硅、氧化铝等金属氧化物;氢氧化铝、氢氧化镁、氢氧化钴、氢氧化铁等金属氢氧化物;碳酸钴、碳酸钙、酸性白土、高岭土、滑石、膨润土、硅藻土、水滑石等金属氧化物或氢氧化物的复合化合物;硅酸钠、云母钼酸盐、钼酸钴、钼酸铵等金属酸盐;有机硅、二硫化钼、硬脂酸钙、氮化硅、碳化硅、偏硼酸、硼酸、三氧化二硼。
本发明的组合物包含成分(a)燃料和成分(b)氧化剂,并且满足下述条件(I)及(II)。
需要说明的是,环境温度是在将本发明的组合物填充于气体发生器内、将填充后的气体发生器组装于气囊装置、将该气囊装置安装于车辆时的温度,例如环境温度在夏季和冬季大不相同,并且,即使在相同的季节,将车辆向阳放置时和背阴放置时,环境温度也大不相同。
<条件(I)>
条件(I)是:在包含于-40~85℃范围内的环境温度下点火燃烧时,其燃烧温度在铜的熔点(1358K)±10K的范围。
条件(I)是:在包含于-40~85℃范围内的环境温度中的特定温度下以及特定温度范围内,本发明的气体发生剂组合物的燃烧温度在铜的熔点(1358K)±10K的范围。
例如,在搭载于寒冷地域规格的机动车内的气囊装置用气体发生器中使用时,可使其在低的温度或温度范围满足条件(I),相反,在搭载于热带地域规格的机动车内的气囊装置用气体发生器中使用时,可使其在高的温度或温度范围满足条件(I)。
<条件(II)>
条件(II)是:在-40℃及85℃的环境温度下点火燃烧时的燃烧温度之差小于125K。
条件(II)优选为122K以下,更优选为110K以下,进一步优选为105K以下。
通过满足条件(I)及(II),即使由于燃烧中的燃烧容器(气体发生器的壳体)内的急剧压力上升等而导致燃烧系统内的热量上升,该热量也可作为燃烧残渣中包含的物质的(例如铜的)熔解热(潜热)而被吸收,不会导致燃烧系统内的温度上升,因此能够实现稳定的燃烧。
本发明中的所述“燃烧温度”是由所使用的气体发生剂组合物、经理论计算而求得的。
本发明的气体发生剂组合物可以成型为所期望的形状,可以制成单孔圆柱状、多孔圆柱状或片状的成型体。这些成型体可以通过在气体发生剂组合物中添加混合水或有机溶剂并进行挤出成型的方法(单孔圆柱状、多孔圆柱状的成型体)、或使用压片机等进行压缩成型的方法(片状的成型体)来制造。
本发明的气体发生剂组合物或由其获得的成型体可以应用于例如:各种交通工具的驾驶席的气囊用充气机、副驾驶席的气囊用充气机、侧面气囊用充气机、帘式气囊用充气机、膝垫用充气机、充气安全带用充气机、管状系统用充气机、预紧器用充气机。
此外,使用本发明的气体发生剂组合物或由其获得的成型体的充气机可以是以下任意类型:仅由气体发生剂供给气体的烟火型,以及由氩气等的压缩气体和气体发生剂这两者供给气体的混合型。
本发明的气体发生剂组合物或由其获得的成型体还可以用作被称为强化剂(enhancer)(或传爆剂(booster))等的点火剂,用于将雷管、点火管的能量传递给气体发生剂。
实施例
实施例和比较例
制造了具有表1所示组成的气体发生剂组合物。表1示出了环境温度变化时的燃烧温度(条件(I))和燃烧温度之差(条件(II)),另外,对表1的各环境温度下的燃烧温度作图并示于图1。
实施例1的组合物在环境温度为0~40℃的温度范围内的燃烧温度与铜的熔点(1358K)一致(条件(I))。例如,在图1中,-40℃下的燃烧温度为1332℃,-10℃、0℃、25℃、40℃下的燃烧温度与铜的熔点一致。
实施例2的组合物在-40℃~-20℃的温度范围内的燃烧温度与铜的熔点(1358K)一致(条件(I))。
实施例3的组合物在-40℃下的燃烧温度与铜的熔点(1358K)一致(条件(I))。
实施例4的组合物在85℃下的燃烧温度与铜的熔点(1358K)一致(条件(I))。
这样,对于实施例1~4的组合物而言,即使发生在-10~40℃附近的环境温度的变化,也未观察到燃烧温度的上升(图1)。由此,环境温度为85℃和-40℃下的燃烧温度之差变小,为122K以下(条件(II)),因此,即使环境温度发生变化也能够保持稳定的点火燃烧性能。
比较例1的组合物与实施例3的组合物的组成相近,也满足条件(I),但燃烧温度之差为125K,不满足条件(II)。
比较例2、3的组合物既不满足条件(I)也不满足条件(II)。
因此,比较例1~3在环境温度发生变化时无法保持稳定的点火燃烧性能。
如上记载了本发明。显然,本发明在其范围内包括各种形式的变形,这些变形并不脱离本发明的范围。此外,所有可能被本领域技术人员显而易见地视为本发明的变形的内容均包括在以上记载的权利要求书的范围内。
Claims (3)
1.一种气体发生剂组合物,其含有(a)燃料21.6%~25.2质量%、(b)氧化剂85%~70质量%,
成分(a)燃料包含第一燃料成分和第二燃料成分的组合,所述第一燃料成分为氰脲酸三聚氰胺,所述第二燃料成分为硝基胍,
所述氧化剂包含(b-1)碱式硝酸铜和(b-2)碱式碳酸铜;
该组合物满足条件(I)及(II):
(I)在包含于-40~85℃范围内的特定环境温度或特定环境温度范围点火燃烧时的燃烧温度为燃烧残渣中包含的物质的熔点;
(II)在-40℃及85℃的环境温度点火燃烧时的燃烧温度之差小于125K。
2.一种气体发生剂组合物,其含有(a)燃料21.6%~25.2质量%、(b)氧化剂85~70质量%,且不包含金属氢氧化物,
成分(a)燃料包含第一燃料成分和第二燃料成分的组合,所述第一燃料成分为氰脲酸三聚氰胺,所述第二燃料成分为硝基胍,
所述燃料不包含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属,
所述氧化剂包含(b-1)碱式硝酸铜和(b-2)碱式碳酸铜,且在(b-1)和(b-2)的总量中,(b-1)为60~70质量%,(b-2)为40~30质量%,
该组合物满足条件(I)及(II):
(I)在包含于-40~85℃范围内的特定环境温度或特定环境温度范围点火燃烧时的燃烧温度为铜的熔点、即1358K;
(II)在-40℃及85℃的环境温度点火燃烧时的燃烧温度之差小于125K。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的气体发生剂组合物,其还含有(c)粘合剂和/或(d)燃烧改良剂,
所述粘合剂不包含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属,
所述燃烧改良剂不包含熔点比铜的熔点高的金属。
