根据本发明,似布无纺织物10被涂有对无纺抹布8中的季铵化合物的浓度敏感的可逆变色油墨制剂。以干重计,变色油墨制剂包括约10-50%重量的聚合物粘合剂,合适的是约20-45%的重量,或约30-40%的重量。聚合物粘合剂有助于将织物10的无纺纤维12粘合在一起,并且还形成无纺织物10和变色油墨制剂剩余的成分之间的持久粘合。相对高的量和粘合强度的聚合物粘合剂有助于确保油墨制剂的可逆变色成分将对无纺抹布8使用寿命保持完整并有效。
合适的聚合物粘合剂化合物包括但不限于醋酸纤维素和醋酸纤维素衍生物。一种合适的聚合物粘合剂是由Aldrich Chemical公司出售的具有平均分子量数目约为3000的醋酸纤维素。其他合适的聚合物粘合剂为由EastmanChemical公司出售的在商品名分别为CAB 551-0.01,CAB 553-0.4和CAB551-0.2下的具有平均分子量数目约为16000、20000和30000的乙酸丁酸纤维素(cellulose acetate butyrates)。其他合适的聚合物粘合剂包括但不限于醋酸丙酸纤维素、羧甲基纤维素的聚合物、硝化纤维素的聚合物和它们的组合。

可逆变色油墨制剂也包括以干重计约10-50%重量的润湿剂(wettingagent),合适地约为15-40%的重量或约20-35%的重量。该润湿剂引起变色油墨制剂扩散、覆盖并将织物10的无纺纤维12包封(到一定程度),使得变色油墨制剂和无纺织物10之间更加持久的粘合。合适的润湿剂包括但不限于由Aldrich Chemical公司出售的乙二醇和乙二醇单乙醚。其他合适的润湿剂包括但不限于三甘醇、山梨醇和它们的组合。
以油墨制剂的干重计,可逆变色油墨制剂可包括约0-5%重量的,合适地约为0-3%的重量的离子稳定剂。当使用时,离子稳定剂可为季铵化合物,并可与使用于消毒剂溶液中的季铵化合物的化学性质相似或相同,该消毒剂溶液较后渗透到无纺抹布8中去。当使用时,离子稳定剂的浓度不会大到阻止变色油墨响应于由无纺抹布中的消毒剂溶液产生的季铵化合物的浓度。合适的离子稳定剂包括但不限于二(长链烷基)二甲胺氯(di(long chain alkyl)dimethyl ammonium chlorides);N-甲基-N;N-二(长链链烷酰基乙基)-N-(2-羟甲基)甲基硫酸铵(N-methyl-N,N-bis(long chain alkanoyl oxyethyl)-N-(2-hydroxymethyl)ammonium methylsulfates);乙烯苯甲基二甲基椰油氯化铵(vinylbenzyl dimethylcocoammonium chlorides);辛基三甲基氯化铵(methyl trioctyl ammonium chlorides)。一种合适的离子稳定剂是可从斯蒂芬公司(Stepan Company)获得的这种产品是由约50%重量的N-烷基(60%C 14,30%C16,5%C12和5%C18)二甲基苄基氯化铵和约50%重量的N-烷基(68%C12和32%C14)氨苄氯乙酸甲酯(dimethyl ethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides)。
可逆变色油墨制剂包括以干重计的约1-10%重量的阴离子指示剂化合物,合适地为约1.5-7%的重量或2-4%的重量。阴离子指示剂的量相对少于聚合物粘合剂的量,因此确保持久的、永久的粘合到无纺织物10上。当消毒剂溶液中季铵化合物的量在任一方向上超过预定水平时,阴离子指示剂可逆地改变颜色。在无纺抹布的使用过程中,当无纺抹布中的季铵化合物的浓度下降到选定水平之下时,阴离子指示剂引起油墨从第一颜色变为第二颜色。随后,当无纺抹布被再次补充基于季铵化合物的消毒剂时,阴离子指示剂使得油墨从第二颜色变回第一颜色。
所使用的阴离子的具体类型取决于引起颜色改变的阴离子指示剂的所需的界限浓度。不同的阴离子指示剂引发不同浓度的季铵化合物的颜色改变。如果希望在季铵化合物的两种或者更多不同的浓度上指示两种或更多的颜色改变,也可以使用多种阴离子指示剂。阴离子指示剂可包括但不限于一种或多种选自溴百里酚蓝、百里酚蓝、甲酚紫(m-cresol purple)、二甲酚蓝、二甲酚橙、酚红及其组合的化合物。
可逆变色油墨制剂也可包括约1-25%的重量,合适地约为10-20%重量的无机填料颗粒。已经发现所包含的填料有助于改善颜色改变的强度,以便使颜色改变变得更加明显和显著。合适的颗粒填料包括但不限于二氧化硅、二氧化钛、碳酸钙和它们的组合。一种特别合适的填料是可从W.R.Grace &Co.购得的在商品名C 803项下的无定形氧化硅(无定形二氧化硅(amorphous silicon dioxide))。
油墨成分能在挥发性有机溶剂中混合在一起,该挥发性有机溶剂占以油墨成分和溶剂相加的重量计的总的油墨成分15-50%的重量。合适的溶解油墨成分的挥发性有机溶剂包括但不限于醋酸正丙酯(n-propyl acetate)和挥发性酮,如丙酮、丁酮、甲苯、四氢呋喃、乙酸乙酯和它们的组合。变色油墨溶液能通过浸泡、滴注、浸入、喷涂、刷涂布、辊式涂布、印刷或任何合适的技术被应用到无纺织物10上。涂布的无纺织物10随后能在具有热量和/或真空存在的情况下被干燥以去除挥发性有机溶剂,从而让变色油墨组分牢固地粘合到无纺织物10上。约40℃-60℃的干燥温度通常足够了。干燥时间可在几分钟到几小时的范围内,这取决于无纺织物10的特定的组分、结构和基重,以及取决于变色油墨组合物的特定的组分。
干燥之后,可逆变色油墨组合物组成无纺抹布8约1.0-10%的重量,适当地约为3-5%的重量。这些重量是基于在无纺抹布8被充满基于季铵化合物的消毒剂溶液之前干的无纺抹布8的重量。
在使用中,通常将无纺抹布8浸泡或浸入含有消毒剂溶液(通常用水稀释)的清洁桶中,使得无纺抹布8充满基于季铵化合物的消毒剂溶液。提供的无纺抹布8也可以为已经包含基于季铵化合物的消毒剂溶液的预充满的抹布。一种合适的基于季铵化合物的消毒剂是上述的2125M-P40,可以从斯蒂芬公司(Stepan Company)购得。再者,这种产品是约50%重量的N-烷基(60%C14,30%C16,5%C12和5%C 18)二甲基苄基氯化铵和约50%重量的N-烷基(68%C 12和32%C 14)二甲基乙基苄基氯化铵。这种产品可以是粉末形式。为了用作卫生洗涤剂溶液,粉末能被加入到一定量的水中得到具有约0.195-0.225%重量浓度的季铵化合物的水溶液。
如上所述,通过将无纺抹布8浸泡或浸入消毒剂溶液中,消毒剂水溶液被施加到无纺抹布8上。消毒剂溶液被无纺抹布8吸收的量取决于无纺抹布的结构特征、基重(basis weight)和吸收特性。如上所述,消毒剂溶液可包含约180-400ppm,合适地约为180-250ppm的季铵化合物。当完全饱和时,无纺抹布8通常将包含约150-350%重量的,合适地约为250-300%重量的以无纺抹布8干重计的消毒剂水溶液。如上所述,消毒剂溶液可包含约180-约400ppm,合适地约为180-约250ppm的季铵化合物。以无纺抹布8的干重计,无纺抹布8的自由季铵化合物的含量合适地为约300-1200ppm,或约500ppm-约1000ppm。术语“自由季铵化合物含量”是指消毒剂溶液贡献的季铵化合物的量,并且不包括任何包含在变色油墨组合物中作为离子稳定剂的季铵化合物。
为了确定无纺抹布中在使用时使得特定施加的油墨组合物从第一颜色变为第二颜色的自由季铵化合物的界限浓度,遵循下述步骤。首先,测定施加有油墨组合物的干的无纺抹布8的重量“D”。然后,无纺抹布8被浸渍消毒剂水溶液并称重,以确定完全饱和时的重量“C”。在完全饱和的无纺抹布中的季铵化合物的量“Q”通过将在清洁水溶液中的季铵化合物的重量比“R”乘以C和D之差,根据下述等式:Q=R(C-D)得出。

为了确定在使用中引发颜色改变的季铵化合物的界限浓度,简单地用无纺抹布8擦拭桌子或台面直到颜色开始从第一颜色变为第二颜色,并且再次称量无纺抹布8的重量以确定减少的重量“L”。界限浓度“T”(百万分之(in parts per million))能确定从下述等式确定:
T = P ( L - D ) ( C - D )
通过遵循前述步骤,特定的无纺抹布8中的不同的油墨组合物能被测定,以开发出在所需的界限浓度T改变颜色的油墨组合物。在多数情况下,无纺抹布8所需的界限浓度T约为180-250ppm,合适地约为190-220ppm。当在无纺抹布8中的季铵化合物的浓度下降到限定值之下时,无纺抹布8对消毒的应用变得不太有效,并且对无纺抹布8再次补充消毒剂溶液变得很重要。
一旦特定的油墨组合物的界限浓度T已经被确定,可使用更加简单的步骤来确定不同油墨组合物的相对的灵敏性,即是否不同的油墨组合物将在季铵化合物的更高或更低值下将改变颜色。为了确定不同油墨组合物的相对的灵敏性,包含几种不同的浓度的季铵化合物的消毒剂溶液被准备在分别的桶或容器中。例如,可准备浓度在0ppm、50ppm、125ppm、250ppm、500ppm和1000ppm的含有季铵化合物的溶液。随后,每一种用不同的变色油墨组合物喷涂的无纺抹布被顺序地浸泡入消毒剂溶液,从最低浓度开始,以确定引发颜色改变的季铵化合物的浓度。而这种更简单的步骤能被用于确定是否一种油墨相对于另一种油墨在更高或更低季铵化合物含量下改变颜色,这将不会确定无纺抹布中的季铵化合物的界限浓度。
提供一种清洁表面的方法也包括在本发明的范围内。该方法包括提供一种无纺抹布的步骤,该无纺抹布包括无纺织物和粘合到无纺织物的可逆变色油墨制剂。提供消毒剂溶液,并且无纺抹布被浸渍消毒剂溶液。用无纺抹布擦拭表面直到变色油墨制剂从指示有充足的消毒剂溶液的第一颜色变为指示不充足的消毒剂溶液的第二颜色。无纺抹布随后浸渍额外的消毒剂溶液至少直到变色油墨制剂变回第一颜色。
实例
准备了下述可逆变色油墨组合物。
每种油墨组合物的组分混合直到醋酸纤维素完全溶解并且包含所有的组分。如果需要,更多溶剂可被加入以达到所需的粘度。每种油墨组合物被印刷在24英寸X24英寸(61厘米x61厘米)的由80%重量的人造丝和20%重量的聚酯纤维组成的无纺抹布的图案中。被喷涂的抹布在50℃的烤炉上干燥12小时,之后抹布在离子水中冲洗以去除任何过量油墨组分。之后每种被喷涂的抹布被放置在下述溶液中并且观察到下述颜色。
当首先放置在含水季铵化合物消毒剂中的抹布之后被放置到水中时其颜色反转,并且反之亦然。由于来自抹布的油墨的某些溶滤作用(leaching),在四个循环后仅观察到轻微的褪色。由持续的可逆变色可证明大部分油墨仍然持久地粘合。
然而在本发明中描述的实施例是示例性的,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内可以做各种变型和改进。本发明的范围通过所附的权利要求表明,并且落入等同物的含义和范围内的所有变化将被包含在本发明中。

Claims (25)

1.一种可逆变色指示消毒剂无纺抹布,包括:
无纺织物;
使用聚合物粘合剂持久地粘合到所述无纺织物的可逆变色油墨制剂;以及
消毒剂成分,所述消毒剂成分包括游离季铵化合物并浸渍在所述无纺抹布中;
其中所述可逆变色油墨制剂使得无纺抹布在当所述无纺抹布中的所述游离季铵化合物超过阈值浓度时的第一颜色和当所述无纺抹布中的所述游离季铵化合物下降到阈值浓度之下时的第二颜色之间来回变化。
2.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,以所述油墨制剂的干重计,其中所述可逆变色油墨制剂包括约10-50%重量的所述聚合物粘合剂、约10-50%重量的增塑剂、约10-50%重量的润湿剂和约1-10%重量的阴离子指示剂化合物。
3.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,以所述无纺抹布的干重计,其中所述游离季铵化合物的阈值浓度为约180-250ppm。
4.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,其中所述游离季铵化合物包括N-烷基二甲基苄基氯化铵。
5.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,其中所述游离季铵化合物包括N-烷基二甲基乙基苄基氯化铵。
6.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,其中所述阴离子指示剂包括化合物,该化合物选自溴百里酚蓝、百里酚蓝、间甲酚紫、二甲酚蓝、二甲酚橙、酚红和其组合物组成的组。
7.根据权利要求2所述的无纺抹布,其中所述变色油墨制剂包括约20-45%重量的所述聚合物粘合剂、约15-40%重量的所述增塑剂、约15-40%重量的所述润湿剂和约1.5-7%重量的所述阴离子指示剂化合物。
8.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,其中所述无纺织物包括约50-100%重量的吸收性无纺纤维和约0-50%重量的强化无纺纤维。
9.根据权利要求8所述的无纺抹布,其中所述吸收性纤维包括纤维素纤维。
10.根据权利要求1所述的无纺抹布,其中所述聚合物粘合剂包括聚合物,该聚合物选自醋酸纤维素、醋酸纤维素衍生物、羧甲基纤维素、乙基纤维素、硝化纤维和其组合物组成的组。
11.根据权利要求2所述的无纺抹布,其中所述增塑剂包括化合物,该化合物选自酞酸二丁酯、柠檬酸三乙酯、己二酸双(2-丁氧基乙)酯、癸二酸二异辛酯、酞酸二乙酯和其组合物组成的组。
12.根据权利要求2所述的无纺抹布,其中所述润湿剂包括化合物,该化合物选自乙二醇、乙二醇单乙醚、三甘醇、山梨醇和其组合物组成的组。
13.根据权利要求2所述的无纺抹布,其中所述阴离子指示剂包括化合物,该化合物选自溴百里酚蓝、百里酚蓝、间甲酚紫、二甲酚蓝、二甲酚橙、酚红和其组合物组成的组。
14.一种制造具有可逆变色性能的物品的方法,包括以下步骤:
提供由挠性的聚合材料制成的织物;
将包括可逆变色油墨制剂和溶剂的溶液应用到所述织物;
将所述织物上的溶液干燥以去除所述溶剂;以及
将所述可逆变色油墨制剂持久地粘合到所述织物;
其中所述可逆变色油墨制剂包括聚合物粘合剂、增塑剂、润湿剂和阴离子指示剂化合物,并且所述干燥使得所述可逆变色油墨制剂持久地粘合到所述织物。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,还包括加热所述织物以完成所述干燥的步骤。
16.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中所述织物被加热到约40℃到约60℃的温度。
17.根据权利要求14所述的方法,还包括将真空应用到所述织物的步骤。
18.根据权利要求14所述的方法,以所述可逆变色油墨制剂的干重计,其中所述可逆变色油墨制剂包括约10-50%重量的所述聚合物粘合剂、约10-50%重量的所述增塑剂、约10-50%重量的所述润湿剂和约1-10%重量的所述阴离子指示剂化合物。
19.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述溶液包括约15-50%重量的所述可逆变色油墨制剂。
20.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述溶剂选自醋酸正丙酯、丙酮、丁酮、甲苯、四氢呋喃、乙酸乙酯和其组合物组成的组。
21.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述聚合物粘合剂包括聚合物,该聚合物选自醋酸纤维素、醋酸纤维素衍生物、羧甲基纤维素、乙基纤维素、硝化纤维和其组合物组成的组。
22.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述增塑剂包括化合物,该化合物选自酞酸二丁酯、柠檬酸三乙酯、己二酸双(2-丁氧基乙)酯、癸二酸二异辛酯、酞酸二乙酯和其组合物组成的组。
23.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述润湿剂包括化合物,该化合物选自乙二醇、乙二醇单乙醚、三甘醇、山梨醇和其组合物组成的组。
24.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述阴离子指示剂包括化合物,该化合物选自溴百里酚蓝、百里酚蓝、间甲酚紫、二甲酚蓝、二甲酚橙、酚红和其组合物组成的组。
