Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及光网络终端的连接器箱。它们特别适用于无源光网络(PON)中引入线的安装。
背景技术
(本背景技术的一部分可构成现有技术也可不构成现有技术。)来自本地电话和线缆服务提供商的光纤入户(FTTP)是一项快速发展的技术。该服务需要宽带光纤分配网络,其包括安置在邻里和城市街道的本地光纤分配线缆。它们通常被称为无源光网络(PON)。单光纤或低光纤数线缆被用作从街道至房屋的“引入”线路。引入线有时被称作外线工程(OSP)线缆。
OSP线缆典型地在安装在客户房屋位置的外墙上的客户接合点模块(CSP)处终止。从那里,房屋建筑物线缆被用来将该建筑物外部的CSP连接到安装于室内墙的光网络终端(ONT)。该房屋建筑物线缆典型地穿透该客户房屋的墙。
术语ONT、PON、CSP由电信标准化部门(ITU-T)指定。ITU-T是国际电信联盟(ITU)的三个部分(分部或单元)中的一个。这些部分协调电信标准。因此这些指定是在本领域中众所周知的、认可的,此处使用它们的标准含义。
发明内容
我们设计了一种多功能CSP(MCSP),和适于安装在顾客房屋内部的MCSP/ONT组件。在该MCSP/ONT组件中,MCSP子单元和ONT子单元被直接叠放并附接在一起。MCSP/ONT组件将标准CSP盒和ONT的功能结合起来,从而消除了对建筑物线缆的需要。另外MCSP子单元适于在MCSP/ONT组件里集成多于一个的ONT。MCSP子单元包括背盒、接合盘和盖。

具体实施方式
参照附图,图1是MCSP子单元的透视图,为了清楚起见而分解开,示出了背盒11、接合盘12和盖13。接合盘通过铰链15附接在背盒上。MCSP子单元与标准CSP在功能上类似,但被改进为附接在一个或多个ONT子单元上。
图2是MCSP子单元的背盒的透视图,示出了用于在背盒内路由光纤的升高的信道特征,例如凹槽21。图2也在23处指示了用于将背盒安装在客户房屋的几个孔中的一个。
图3更为详细地示出了MCSP的接合盘。将MCSP接合盘附接在MCSP背盒上的铰链被示于15处。图4更详细地示出了前盖。图5示出了当接合盘关闭并且盖打开时的MCSP背盒和MCSP接合盘。图6示出了关闭的MCSP子单元。应当理解MCSP盒的内部的细节可具有多种多样的配置和内在功能。这里描述的那些是优选示例。换句话说,优选示例包括MCSP子单元,其具有背盒、用铰链附接于背盒以允许盘向背盒内或外折叠的基本上平坦的盘,以及封闭MCSP子单元的前盖。
本发明的MCSP/ONT组件示意性地在图7中示出。MCSP子单元在71处示出,叠放的ONT子单元在72处示出。这些子单元与紧固件74附接在一起。可选的其它ONT子单元虚拟地示出为在75处附接于ONT子单元72,并在76处附接于MCSP子单元71的另一边。
光纤线缆78连接至MCSP以及ONT二者。为了清楚起见未被示出其它的互连部,例如,将MCSP子单元与OSP互接的线缆,从ONT子单元到客户网络的线缆和线路连接。应当意识到,在这种安装方式中,在连接MCSP子单元和ONT子单元的线缆中的光纤可不被中断,即,它是无接合的。
添加了图8,用以描述在定义本发明的MCSP/ONT组件时有用的参数。它一般性地示出了具有长度L、宽度w和厚度t的盒子。根据通常被接受的含义,盒子是具有平坦的底部、四个侧面和一个盖的容器。底部和盖具有近似匹配的长度和宽度。侧面具有厚度t。元件是四边形的,并且名义上是直线的。一些元件可以是正方形的。对于一些等价的设计具有圆形的或其它方便的形状是可能的。
对于典型的CSP和ONT子单元,t小于w或L。因此这些子单元的侧面是矩形的。底座和盖可以是正方形的或矩形的。它们一般地被定义为四边形。
应当理解,叠放排列可采用多种形式。图7描述了几种选项。在其它选项中,ONT子单元72和75可以更小,并且都并排地附接于MCSP71。ONT子单元可以在长度平行于或垂直于MSCP子单元的状态下而被叠放。在优选的叠放排列中,ONT子单元在ONT子单元附接于MCSP子单元的盖或MCSP子单元的其它部分的状态下而被叠放。ONT子单元可盖对盖地被附接于MCSP子单元,或者ONT子单元和MCSP子单元中的一个子单元的底部可被附接于另一个子单元的盖。术语叠放和附接于通常会被解释为一个子单元的长度/宽度面附接于另一个子单元的长度、宽度面。子单元(MCSP子单元和/或ONT子单元)的一个或两个具备一个或多个紧固件,以将MCSP子单元与ONT子单元附接在一起构成MCSP/ONT组件。紧固件可具有多种形式中的一种或多种,例如,粘合剂、维可牢尼龙搭扣、螺纹元件、扭锁、按压/扣合装置或者执行将两个盒子保持在一起的等效功能的任何手段。盒子可互相接触或与彼此紧密相邻。紧密相邻,在本发明的上下文中,是指在最大的盒子的单个长度内。
如同之前所提示的,ONT和MCSP子单元的尺寸和形状可能变化很大。虽然这些容器一般是盒子的形状,但是它们也可以具有其它形状。底部、侧面和盖可以是直线的,或可具有卷起的边缘、唇、凸缘等以帮助实现闭合或密封该容器。例如,图1中所示的MCSP子单元的底部、侧面和盖不是精确的矩形。上面描述的盒子具有底部和盖。可选地,盒子可具有侧面和两个盖。
如同之前所描述的,MCSP/ONT组件适于安装在客户房屋内部。在现有技术的安装中,CSP和ONT之间是穿墙互连。该“墙”指的是客户房屋内部的墙。利用根据本发明的MCSP/ONT组件,该穿墙互连被消除了,从而允许在MCSP和ONT之间有通常更短的路径。因此图7中的光纤78可以具有例如比MCSP子单元的四倍长度更短的长度。
对本领域技术人员来说,此发明将出现多种其它变形。基本上,依赖通过本发明被提升的原理和它们的等价物的,与此说明书的具体教导的所有偏离,应被适当考虑为包括在如描述的和主张的本发明的范围内。

Claims (11)

1.一种电信接口,用于将外线工程(OSP)线缆与位于客户房屋内部的电信网络互连,包括:
a.多功能客户接合点(MCSP)子单元,
b.光网络终端(ONT)子单元,
其中所述MCSP子单元与所述ONT子单元附接在一起,构成MCSP/ONT组件。
2.权利要求1所述的电信接口,其中所述MCSP和所述ONT被叠放。
3.权利要求2所述的电信接口,其中所述MCSP/ONT组件安装在客户房屋的内部。
4.权利要求3所述的电信接口,其中所述MCSP和/或所述ONT具备紧固件,用于将所述MCSP和所述ONT固定在一起。
5.权利要求4所述的电信接口,其中所述MCSP和所述ONT被叠放。
6.权利要求5所述的电信接口,其中无接合的光纤将所述MCSP子单元和所述ONT子单元连接起来。
7.权利要求5所述的电信接口,其中两个或更多个ONT子单元附接于所述MCSP子单元。
8.权利要求5所述的电信接口,其中所述MCSP子单元包括背盒、接合盘和盖。
9.权利要求8所述的电信接口,其中所述MCSP附接于客户房屋的内墙,并且所述ONT附接于所述MCSP。
10.权利要求9所述的电信接口,其中所述ONT通过螺纹元件附接于所述MCSP的所述背盒,所述螺纹元件延伸穿过所述MCSP的所述盖。
11.权利要求6所述的电信接口,其中所述无接合光纤具有比所述MCSP子单元的四倍长度短的长度。
