背景技术

管道10被描绘成笔直的并且限定管道10的圆形截面。在其它示例性非限制性实施方案中,管道10可限定另一个弯曲的或多边形的截面。要记住增加的曲率会限制气流“F”,一些示例性非限制性实施方案甚至可能以在气流“F”的方向上带来变化的转向或弯曲为特征。或者,管道可以是简单的、笔直的矩形管道10。
无论哪些实施方案,管道10都由热塑性塑料通过抽吸吹塑(SBM)形成。更具体来说,构成管道10的结构元件(例如,外壁12和内壁14)的任何组成都以此方式形成。
一方面,用于形成管道10的热塑性塑料包括增强聚醚醚酮(PEEK)。SBM的增强件可以是玻璃、碳、导电填料等的任意组合。PEEK是无色的,是聚芳醚酮(PAEK)家族中的一种有机聚合物,并且是半晶态的,具有保持到高温的较高的机械抵抗特性和化学抵抗特性。用于模制PEEK的加工条件可影响结晶性,并且因此可影响机械特性。PEEK的杨氏模量为3.6 Gpa,并且它的抗张强度为90至100 Mpa。PEEK进一步具有约143℃ (289℉)的玻璃化转变温度和约343℃ (662℉)的熔点。一些级别的PEEK具有高达250℃ (482℉)的有效操作温度。对于在室温与固相线温度之间的温度,PEEK的热导率近似线性地增加。PEEK进一步高度抵抗热降解以及有机环境和水相环境两者的侵蚀、是坚固的并且与“超高真空”应用兼容。PEEK进一步允许通过机械活化进行的形状记忆行为。添加剂可包括碳、玻璃、矿物和导电添加剂。
另一方面,用于形成管道10的热塑性塑料包括增强聚苯硫醚(PPS)。PPS是抵抗化学和热侵蚀的一种聚合物并且可以较高公差模制、挤压或机器加工。呈纯固体形式的PPS进一步可以是不透明白色至淡褐色。PPS的最大使用温度是218℃ (424℉)并且还未被发现在低于约200℃ (392℉)的任何溶剂中溶解。PPS进一步展现所希望的“高温”特性,包括耐热性、耐酸性、耐碱性、防霉性、抗漂白性、抗老化性、抗阳光性和耐磨性。PPS进一步仅吸收少量的溶剂并且抵抗染色。
PEEK和PPS都是具有较高的热稳定性、耐化学性和阻燃性以及可靠的机械特性的半晶态热塑性塑料。这些材料在用于SBM中时,产生用于管道10的轻质、薄壁、复杂的三维几何形状。
又一方面,用于形成管道10的热塑性塑料包括聚醚酰亚胺(PEI)。PEI是非晶态的并且是琥珀色至透明的,其特性与PEEK的与PEI有关的那些特性类似。但是,PEI和PEEK存在彼此不同的性质(例如,玻璃化转变温度)。另外,PEI是非晶态的,而PEEK是半晶态的。
又一方面,用于形成管道10的热塑性塑料包括尼龙。
管道10被构造成可在100 psig下在-65℉至400℉ (PEEK)或-65℉至300℉ (PPS)的温度范围内操作。管道10还定义0.020英寸至0.125英寸的“壁厚”。
现在具体参照图2,大体以20指示一种制造管道10的方法的示例性非限制性实施方案。方法20包括通过SBM形成热塑性塑料的中空三维几何形状的步骤22。就SBM而言,由空气支撑熔融塑料以便形成称为“型坯(parison)”的中空管。所述管被吸进模腔中并通过吹气成形。
在步骤24,热塑性塑料为填充或未填充的半晶态。一方面,在步骤26,热塑性塑料包括增强PEEK。另一方面,在步骤28,热塑性塑料包括增强PPS。在步骤30,热塑性塑料为填充或未填充的非晶态。一方面,在步骤32,热塑性塑料包括PEI。又一方面,在步骤34,热塑性塑料包括尼龙。在步骤36,热塑性塑料通过玻璃、碳、导电填料等的任意组合来增强。在步骤38,中空三维几何形状限定外壁12和/或内壁14。
方法20允许快速、低成本、有效地模制复杂的、三维的、热塑性塑料几何形状,如管道10。通过方法20生产的管道10是热稳定的、耐化学的、阻燃的、轻质的、薄壁的并且具有可靠的机械特性。此外,管道10可在100 psig下在-65℉至400℉ (PEEK)或-65℉至300℉ (PPS)的温度范围内操作。此外,管道10定义0.020英寸至0.125英寸的“壁厚”。
虽然本发明已仅结合有限数量的实施方案进行了详细说明,但应容易理解,本发明不限于这些公开的实施方案。相反,本发明可通过修改来涵盖之前并未描述、但与本发明的精神和范围相符合的任意数量的变化、更改、替代或等效布置。另外,虽然已描述本发明的各种示例性非限制性实施方案,但应理解,本发明的各方面可仅包括所述实施方案中的一些。因此,本发明不应被视为受前面描述的限制,而是仅受所附权利要求书的范围限制。
Claims (15)
1.一种航空器管道,其包括:
由热塑性塑料通过抽吸吹塑形成的中空三维几何形状。
2.如权利要求1所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料为填充或未填充的半晶态。
3.如权利要求2所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料包括增强聚醚醚酮(PEEK)。
4.如权利要求2所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料包括增强聚苯硫醚(PPS)。
5.如权利要求1所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料为填充或未填充的非晶态。
6.如权利要求5所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料包括聚醚酰亚胺(PEI)。
7.如权利要求1所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料包括尼龙。
8.如权利要求1所述的管道,其中所述热塑性塑料用玻璃、碳和导电填料的任意组合来增强。
9.一种制造航空器管道的方法,其包括以下步骤:
通过抽吸吹塑形成热塑性塑料的中空三维几何形状。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述热塑性塑料为填充或未填充的半晶态。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述热塑性塑料包括增强聚醚醚酮(PEEK)。
12.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述热塑性塑料包括增强聚苯硫醚(PPS)。
13.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述热塑性塑料为填充或未填充的非晶态。
14.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述热塑性塑料包括聚醚酰亚胺(PEI)。
15.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述热塑性塑料包括尼龙。
