Abstract

接插件的绝缘外壳由一对侧壁界定,侧壁间有多个通腔。通腔可滑动地承接多个相同的带槽杆式接点,其特点是,一部分长度上的第一宽度均匀,第二部分的均匀宽度大于第一均匀宽度,两部分之间有成一定角度的壁过渡部分。接点有中间体部分以一定角度压制一个突起,靠在成一定角度的壁过渡部分,将接点固定住。接点装进通腔中后,用锋利工具将薄壁段的部分切断,使该段以铰链的形式进入毗邻突起的相应通腔中,将接点固定住。

Description

带槽杆式接点的电气接插件
本发明步及一种叫做导线接续件(connecting block)的电气接插件,这种接续件通常有多个平行配置的带槽杆式接点。
导线接续件是电话工业中用以将第一组导线与相关的第二组导线在电气上互连起来的工业产品。美国专利3,611,264介绍了早期导线接续件的一个例子。该专利的接插件有一个转位条(indexing strip)和一个接续件,接续件上有多个带槽的杆式接点。在转位条的长度方向上有多个高度一致、彼此间隔一段间距的齿。这些齿协助第一组导线转位(indexing)。接续件上相应的多个等高等间距齿用来使准备通过各带槽杆式接点交叉连接到第一组导线的第二组导线转位。
多年来,有人就这种接插件作了种种改进,美国专利3,798,587和4,118,095提出的那些接插件就是其中的一些例子。但这些改进没有一个是针对接插件的稳定性,特别是将带槽杆式接点固定到其中时的稳定性提出的。不言而喻,通过使导线的绝缘层移位将导线推入接点壁之间的槽中时作用到接点上的力一般是相当大的。在市面出售的导线接续件中,在装好的接点中多半都有相当大的“窜动量”。有人试图加上通过接插件外壳壁和通过空腔伸出的插件来减小这种“窜动量”。然而,即使采取了这种措施,仍然有某种程度的窜动。
本发明的目的是提供一种用以将第一组导线与相关的第二组导线在电气上互连起来的电气接插件。这种接插件,用在电话工业中时也叫做导线接续件。
本发明的一种用以将第一组导线与相关的第二组导线在电气上互连起来的电气接插件,包括:
一个绝缘外壳,为一对侧壁所界定,两侧壁之间有多个通腔,其特征在于,所述通腔其一部分长度方向上有第一均匀宽度,所述通腔中位于所述一部分的上方的第二部分的均匀宽度大于所述第一均匀宽度,所述均匀部分之间有一个成一定角度的壁过渡部分;以及沿所述侧壁的其中之一有多个相同的薄壁段,各所述薄壁段与给定通腔中相应的成一定角度的壁过渡部分对齐;
带槽的杆式平面接点,坐落在各所述通腔中,所述接点有一个中间部分和一对相对的端部部分,所述端部部分各自含有绝缘层移位槽,供承接导线用,所述中间部分以一定角度压制出一个突起,靠在所述成一定角度的壁过渡部分上,从而将所述接点固定住,不致在第一方向上移动;
所述薄壁段经过部分割断,使其可以铰链方式放入毗邻所述突起的各通腔中,从而使所述接点固定下来,不致在第二方向上移动。
本发明的优点在于,本发明的电气接插件可用现有技术的工具进行端接,可处理大直径导线,而且无需另外的装配附件。
本发明通过外壳与装在外壳中的各接点之间独特的配合协作,基本上消除了“窜动”现象,提高了接插件端接过程中的稳定性。
从下面的说明,特别是结合附图阅读时,可以更清楚地了解到本发明独特的特点。
图1是适宜用本发明的作法将第一组导线与相关的第二组导线在电气上互连起来的那一种电气接插件的部件分解透视图。
图2至4是接点装入绝缘外壳过程中的一系列剖视图,和将接点牢靠固定入外壳中的装置的示意图。
图5是与图4类似的放大剖视图,示出了最后锁定接点的方法。
本发明针对一种用以将第一组导线与相关的第二组导线在电气上互连起来、经改进的接触稳定的导线接续件。图1示出了本发明的电气接插件,图2-5是其剖视图,示出了使装在其中的接点稳固的特定方法。
图1示出的本发明的电气接插件10,其绝缘外壳12通常由塑料制成,具有一对侧壁14、一对端壁16、第一配合面18和接点装设面20。外壳12内(这从图2-5的剖视图中可以看得最清楚)有多个空心槽22,供容纳和夹持带槽的杆式平面接点24,这下面即将说明。空心槽22的特征还在于其第一宽度24、第二宽度26和过渡段28。第一宽度24的大小取得使空心槽22可滑动地承接接点24的本体,第二宽度26比第一宽度24大,过渡段28在槽内的大约中间位置,最好形成一定的角度,其理由稍后就会明白。
沿外壳12的其中一个壁14有许多凹口30,各凹口与各空心槽22相对应,从而使薄壁段32形成空心槽22的壁34的一部分。凹口30,因而薄壁段32,与成一定角度的过渡部分28对齐。凹口30最好呈矩形,以便于承接相匹配形状的工具。
本发明要装在空心槽22中夹持住的较理想的带槽杆式平面接点24,从图1中可以看得最清楚。如本技术领域所周知的那样,这种接点通常是由平面金属(例如磷铜)板条冲压制成的,即,令金属条逐步前进通过多个加工台,对金属条进行冲压和冷锻等工序。形成的接点24,如图1中所示,由中间体部分40和一对绝缘层切割及导线承接槽42、44所组成,后者由从中间体部分40伸出的相应数对臂46、48形成。数对臂46、48二分叉,分别形成分叉50-50和52-52,其内部分在毗邻中间体部分40形成放大的细长孔口54、56,其外部分彼此靠拢,形成预定宽度用以承接绝缘导线(图中未示出)的槽42、44。绝缘导线一般包括被覆有例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯或聚氯乙烯之类的绝缘层的导电元件,即导线。一般说来,如本技术领域所周知的那样,接点24的最外端58、60最好逐渐变细,形成通往导线承接槽42、44较尖的V字形入口,从而便于绝缘层移位和端接这种导线。
为控制某些现有技术接点的导线承接槽的宽度,有的是沿接点臂的外缘冷锻来合拢两臂之间的间隙或导线承接槽。相反,本发明发现,使槽42、44的底部62中心增加硬度或冷锻加工可以提高性能。与其合拢间隙,倒不如将间隙或槽42、44张开到更精密受控的尺寸。
最后,鉴于各接点在端接操作过程中受到的作用力相当大,因而要能使接点24相对于外壳12固定住,这一点很重要。按照本发明,作为冲压工序的另一项操作,从接点24的中间本体部分40压制出一个与该中间体部分成锐角的突起70。在装入外壳12中时(这从图2至4所示的一系列视图可以看得最清楚)使突起70靠在成一定角度的过渡段28上。换句话说,这种成一定角度的过渡段对接点继续朝第一配合面18的运动起“档块”的作用。接点24一经完全坐落在空心槽22中之后(图3),可以将尖端72逐渐变细的锋利工具“T”(见图5)插入凹口30中,用此工具切断薄壁段32的三边,然后将薄壁段32以铰链的形式移动或弯入突起70所形成的孔口中。通过这种安排,部分切断了的铰链式壁段32就挠曲而与突起70接合,从而就位后能阻止接点反向移动。换句话说,在导线端接力相当大的部位形成了阻止接线在两个方向移动的“挡块”。

Claims (5)

1.一种用以将第一组导线与相关的第二组导线在电气上互连起来的电气接插件,包括:
一个绝缘外壳,为一对侧壁所界定,两侧壁之间有多个通腔,其特征在于,所述通腔其一部分长度方向上有第一均匀宽度,所述通腔中位于所述一部分的上方的第二部分的均匀宽度大于所述第一均匀宽度,所述均匀部分之间有一个成一定角度的壁过渡部分;以及沿所述侧壁的其中之一有多个相同的薄壁段,各所述薄壁段与给定通腔中相应的成一定角度的壁过渡部分对齐;
带槽的杆式平面接点,坐落在各所述通腔中,所述接点有一个中间部分和一对相对的端部部分,所述端部部分各自含有绝缘层移位槽,供承接导线用,所述中间部分以一定角度压制出一个突起,靠在所述成一定角度的壁过渡部分上,从而将所述接点固定住,不致在第一方向上移动;
所述薄壁段经过部分割断,使其可以铰链方式放入毗邻所述突起的各通腔中,从而使所述接点固定下来,不致在第二方向上移动。
2.根据权利要求1的电气接插件,其特征在于:所述带槽的杆式平面接点的端部部分包括在端部的绝缘层移位槽、以及所述槽和所述中间部分之间的开口,邻近所述开口的所述槽经过加工硬化,以控制所述槽的宽度。
3.根据权利要求1的电气接插件,其特征在于:所述第一均匀宽度定为可滑动地承接所述带槽的杆式平面接点。
4.根据权利要求1的电气接插件,其特征在于:所述薄壁段是凹部底,其形状适合承接互补形的工具,以局部切断所述薄壁段。
5.根据权利要求4的电气接插件,其特征在于:所述工具包括成一定角度的切削部分,该切削部分以铰链方式推压所述薄壁段,使之靠在相应的突起。
