技术领域
本发明涉及符合人体工程学的手操作性流体分配装置。具体地,本发明涉及用于将流体组合物给药到眼睛内的符合人体工程学的手操作性双作用式系统。
背景技术
眼科疾病通常需要将流体组合物局部给药到患病的眼睛上。患者通常必须将药物施加到自身的眼睛上。通常情况下,滴眼剂简单地容纳于可挤压的多用途瓶内,滴眼剂通过具有简单通孔的喷嘴从多用途瓶来分配。然而,这种可挤压的多用途瓶具有给剩余在瓶内的药物造成污染的风险,其原因在于在每次使用后没有完全从喷嘴喷出的液体趋于在空气被吸入时流回到瓶内。
可最大限度地减少或消除这种污染风险的装置采用用于将液体从瓶喷射出来的双作用式泵。在美国专利6,851,583中公开了一种这样的装置,该专利以其全文通过引用并入本文。但是,以上下颠倒的位置使用该装置用于滴眼剂自给药是很别扭的,尤其是对于灵活性较低的患者而言。
因此,对用于将流体组合物自给药到眼睛内的更符合人体工程学的手操作性装置存在持续的需求。此外,也非常希望提供这样的一种装置,其对于具有灵活性较低的患者而言可以鼓励进行相应的所需治疗。
发明内容
在通常情况下,本发明提供一种用于将流体组合物自给药到眼睛内的可容易地由患者使用的手操作性装置或系统。
在一方面,本发明提供一种用于将流体组合物自给药到眼睛内的可容易地由患者使用的符合人体工程学的手操作性装置或系统。
在另一方面,这种装置或系统包括用于将液体组合物喷入到眼睛内的双作用式泵机构。
仍在又一方面,通过将力施加到致动器上来致动双作用式泵机构,所述致动器设置于所述泵机构的上方且从所述泵机构沿径向向外延伸。
仍在又一方面,本发明提供一种用于将流体组合物自给药到眼睛内的可容易地由患者使用的符合人体工程学的手操作性系统。所述系统包括:(1)容器,其具有容器开口且容纳流体组合物;(2)双作用式泵机构,其牢固地设置于容器开口的上方;以及(3)致动器,其设置于所述泵机构的上方,以及从所述泵机构沿径向向外延伸,用于通过施加于其上的力来致动泵机构,其特征在于所述泵机构包括适于所述流体组合物的通道,以及当中断施加所述力时,所述通道紧密地密封。

参照图1,其示出了本发明的手操作性装置或系统的横截面。所述装置或系统包括:(1)容器100,其具有容器开口104且容纳流体组合物;(2)双作用式泵机构10,其牢固地设置于容器开口104的上方;以及(3)致动器80,其设置于所述泵机构10的上方,以及从所述泵机构10沿径向向外延伸,用于通过在泵机构上施加力来致动泵机构10。
双作用式泵机构10通过设置于泵机构10和容器100之间的密封环盘106凭借卡扣座(snap seat)而紧密地附连到容器100开口104的稍微径向突出的边缘105上。参照图2,其示出了可包括在本发明装置中的双作用式泵机构的横截面。应该理解的是双作用式机构的其它设计可同样适于包括在本发明的装置或系统中。双作用式泵机构10包括杯形的壳体12。中空的圆柱形活塞16可在壳体12内轴向移动。活塞16在第一壳体部分13内相对于壳体12的内侧密封。活塞16内部的孔18沿轴向延伸,并基本上延伸通过活塞16的长度。孔18可例如通过形成于第一壳体部分13的壁内的横向通道而与容器100流体连通。活塞16可在封闭盖22的开口20内滑动,且牢固和密封地将双作用式机构10附连到容器100,所述封闭盖22封闭壳体12。
双作用式泵机构10的致动头26紧密和牢固地放置于活塞16的自由端上。致动头26包括外部套筒28和内部套筒30,所述内部套筒30紧密地在外部套筒28内同心地设置。在中空活塞16的远端处通道19被形成为横向地通过中空活塞16的壁。在中空活塞16的远端处,止回阀34部分地装配到孔18内。当泵机构10处于静止状态时,止回阀34密封地覆盖通道19,防止流体从其中横向通过。复位弹簧36设置于止回阀34上且抵靠形成于内部套筒30内部的台肩38搁置。
横向孔32被形成为在远离通道19的较小距离处穿过内部套筒30的壁,这样当泵机构10处于静止状态时,止回阀34覆盖通道19和横向孔32。横向孔32与形成于内部套筒30外表面上的纵向槽42连通,以便将流动通过横向孔32的流体组合物引导到形成于外部套筒28的远端部内的流体喷射口44。
致动头26在不使用时可由可移除的盖54来保护。
当双作用式泵机构10致动时,致动头26抵靠着弹簧36而朝向瓶100推动。其结果是,通道19与横向孔32对准,从而允许流体从孔18通过中空活塞16和内部套筒30而流动到朝向喷射口44的槽42。当移除施加到弹簧36上的力时,弹簧36的恢复力使得致动头26和活塞16在相反的方向上移动,以及止回阀34再次覆盖通道19和横向孔32,从而切断从其中通过的流体流动。此外,抗微生物材料(诸如银)可设置于喷射口44内,以防止在多次使用之间在其内滋生微生物。这种抗微生物材料可具有环形形式,或是由具有分散在其中的银的多孔材料制成的、紧密地装配在开口44内的圆盘。
现在参照图1,致动器80设置于泵机构10的上方且从其沿径向向外延伸,形成致动器台肩82。泵机构10例如通过将力施加到致动器台肩82上而致动。在图1中所示的实施例中,致动器80搁置于致动头26的台肩50上。致动器80在瓶100的至少一部分的上方纵向延伸,例如以便在泵10的操作过程中提供稳定性。
参照图3,其中执行本发明装置或系统的典型操作,以便用于将滴眼剂给药到患者眼睛内。例如,患者用拇指搁置于致动器的沿径向远离瓶延伸的一部分(致动器台肩82)上而将装置保持在一只手中。致动头的尖端指向眼睛。通过将力施加到致动器上来致动泵机构,以便使得致动头朝向容纳滴眼剂组合物的瓶移动。流体组合物液滴从致动头26的尖端喷入到眼睛内。
本发明的系统设计成可容易地用一只手操作。例如,在一个实施例中,处于未致动状态的装置总长度可为约3.5-4.5英寸(或约8.9-11.4厘米)。致动器台肩82的较大尺寸可为约1.5-2英寸(或约3.8-5厘米)。瓶的直径可为约1-1.5英寸(或约2.5-3.8厘米),以及瓶子可容纳约10-15毫升的流体组合物。
确定用于操作泵10所需力大小的因素之一是弹簧36的恢复力。致动器台肩82具有适于由拇指施加力的尺寸,从而尤其对于具有有限灵活性的患者而言提供操作性方面的益处。
其上搁置拇指的致动器台肩82的表面可设置有凸脊或其它相似的设计,以防止拇指打滑。备选地,所述表面可形成有摩擦增强材料。
瓶100、致动器80、以及泵机构10的各部分可由聚合物材料制成,诸如聚乙烯(例如医药级高密度聚乙烯)、聚氯乙烯、或聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。

Claims (3)

1.一种用于将流体组合物喷入到眼睛内的手操作性系统,所述系统包括:
(1)容器,其具有容器开口且容纳流体组合物;
(2)双作用式泵机构,其牢固地设置于容器开口的上方;以及
(3)致动器,其设置于所述泵机构的上方,并且从所述泵机构沿径向向外延伸,用于通过在泵机构上施加力来致动泵机构;
其特征在于所述泵机构包括用于所述流体组合物的通道,以及当中断施加所述力时,所述通道被紧密地密封。
2.根据权利要求1所述的手操作性系统,其特征在于所述致动器从泵机构沿径向向外延伸,以便形成具有适于容纳拇指的尺寸的致动器台肩。
3.根据权利要求2所述的手操作性系统,其特征在于所述系统具有用一只手操作的尺寸。
